Great breakfast and outside seating was great. Awesome service!!!

Great dinner date at Rita's. Drinks, food, and service were all top-notch. Ate at a few of the other restaurants on main strip of Folly. Rita's definitely had the best food quality.

Good good ! Windo seats at dinner time unbearable when sun is out!

Went here as it was rated high but the food was just ok, nothing special as the fried grouper was oily and bland in taste. Drinkers were good but couldn’t tell if they had any alcohol in them. Not bad but not great. It is close to the beach which is a plus but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here.

A good variety of delicious food without it being an overwhelming menu. Got the crispy fried Grouper sandwich and tuna nachos and they were amazing! Very busy and loud, but it is by a beach on Labor Day weekend.

Honestly surprised to find excellent unique food, great service, and one of the best margaritas I’ve ever had (and they’re my thing). Loved the crab soup, and the chopped salad and the wings were awesome. Our expectations for beach food are usually low and this place was good on any level. Will be back!

One of my favorite places to dine at while visiting Folly Beach! I've been here multiple times with family and friends; it never disappoints. The wait is short, the food is great, and I absolutely love that the kids meals come on frisbees for the beach. During my most recent visit, we were celebrating a birthday and the staff made it extra special by surprising him with a delicious dessert!

Best Tomato Soup I have ever had and the steak hot dog.. wow! Music and great service. If you are near stop by!

Hi! Rita’s was exceptional! Me and my husband Cody shared the Rita’s pulled pork nachos, which came out fast and delicious. Our server Max was an ally and guided us to the shrimp and grits and the pork belly. He was the best server we’ve ever had in any restaurant and the reason for this review. Max performed cpr on rec, our pet corgi, and is responsible for the breath he still draws. We love max for this, and by extension, Rita’s. Love you max

We stayed at the hotel across the street and ate here every day, sometimes for more than one meal ☺️ All of the food was delicious and every server we had was fantastic. A great spot for anyone visiting Folly beach!

So delicious, hubby had the pork chop, I had the shrimp and grits, (I could eat that everyday), daughter got a burger, son got nachos, all so delicious. Service was great.

Service was lackluster but the food was good! A shelter from the storm on a rainy beach day. Bathrooms were clean and the cafe is open air, breezy and relaxing. We'll be back!

8.17.24. My bf and I visited Folly and brought our jetskis for a funday. It was a must to have dinner on Folly, so we agreed on Rita's. 8:05 pm We were put on the waiting list and received the text...30 minute wait. We received an updated text that extended the time to 45 minutes. At 8:50 we had to check on our table, which was only supposed to take thirty minutes. It was another ten minutes before we were sat all the way in the back outside but decided to move to the bar inside. We prefer to sit at the bar, but tonight, due to live music on the patio, no seats at the bar were available until they called us to our table in the back. The wait was excessively long, but we anticipated that because it was summer on Folly beach on a saturday night....we were prepared! First order - Cadillac margaritas. YES. Perfect. We ordered crab bisque for the bf, Delicious. Both of us ordered Rita's cheeseburgers. 1/2 pound burgers, cooked to order and were AMAZING. The fries....wow. Hot, fresh, curly, thick and crispy. They were the best. The staff was great! Super friendly and attentive to be such a high traffic place.

Had the fish and shrimp tacos. Not impressed. The food was cold. Hubby had the chicken wings. Says they were good and a little overcooked. Fries were fantastic!! Daughter had the chicken sandwich which she loved. Probably will return just not for the tacos!!

Very crowded and popular place even for a Wednesday night during off season. Luckily my friend and I got a seat at the bar.

Food taste doesn't come close to the prices.. Who ever is cooking these $50+ meals needs to learn how to plate the food also. Looked horrible and just a blob of food... Flavor is very bland. We ordered 1 appetizer a burger & fries and a steak dinner... $170. Absolutely ridiculous for what you are served here... Won't be back.

We loved Rita’s during our stay at Folly Beach! Our group of 6 had breakfast there two mornings & one dinner. We tried the pancakes (they have some cinnamon in them & I was surprised to really like it), french toast, biscuits & gravy, fried potatoes, and eggs. We had dinner in the outdoor seating area and very much enjoyed the live band. The French fries there are SO good! Everything else was too but go for the vibe & the fries!

I can proudly say, Rita's is where I fell in love with bloody Mary's! We stopped here for lunch after the beach and we were not disappointed! Food and drinks were great, and our server Julia was soo sweet and friendly! She gave us great advice for the rest of our trip. The people of Charleston really made us feel like we're home and I truly appreciate that southern hospitality.

Food was pretty good, service was excellent with good atmosphere. Good portion sizes. Just about everyone finished their meals. Waitress was very attentive and friendly.

11/10! Food is DELICIOUS! Staff are AWESOME and FRIENDLY! The drinks are dangerously delicious! Local and Family owned makes it icing on the cake. Come hungry and make sure to tip well!

Beach vibes and good food! I got the grouper sandwich. The fish was great but I would have rather had it as a fish and chips rather than on a bun. My wife got the fish & shrimp tacos. Their fries are more like spiral potato wedges.

Rita's is a great place in a convenient location close to the beach in Folly. Service at just the right pace. Loved the Pina Colada. And all the food (oysters, seafood plate) were great.maybe a little salty, though. The French fries are super (curly wedges).

It's Rita's, people. It's amazing, fun, delicious, just what the doctor ordered. When on Folly, it's a must. Drink, beachy vibe, live music. It's Folly at It's finest!

We had lunch here after the morning on the beach at Folly. Dress code is very casual, with many women wearing swimsuits and coverups. The door to the front of the establishment is left open, so flies were flat slightly annoying during the meal. The bathrooms were very clean. We got the pork nachos as an appetizer because they’re mentioned so much in reviews. They were good but not great. The cheese dip is on the base of the plate, with lots of smokey, moist pulled pork and veggies on the chips all covered by a baked layer of shredded cheese. I prefer for nachos to be pull-apart chip by chip, but these were more of a baked taco crunch casserole type. Good, just not my preference. Husband got the grouper sandwich. He said it was a B+. Fries were fresh, hot and crunchy. I got the cheeseburger (with fried egg and bacon) and fries. It was a great size burger, a little undercooked in my opinion. But a good burger and something I would order again. The hostess was nice, our server Mark was attentive and kind. The price was fair. Overall, a good lunch for a beach-side spot.

I loved this! i got the lobster roll i thought it was gonna be like every other lobster roll at the beginning but wow. This is the best lobster roll i’ve ever tasted! The bun was grilled to perfection! Our waitress was very kind and friendly. The atmosphere was so chill and it was giving off beach vibes. it wasn’t too loud or too quiet! overall i really like this place and i’ll give it a 8.9/10.

After leaving the hotel restaurant where I waited 25 minutes for service I came to Rita's. I had a water within 2 minutes and my food in 10. Awesome place with great staff!! Food is good too! I recommend.

Can you please keep the chicken thigh meal on the menu. I'm probably going to come back every week or 2 just for that. It's tasted just like my Grandmothers. It was amazing.

1st time for everything & this take out experience was beyond delightful. The hostess was so patient with me Friday night after 8p, I couldn't be more grateful. Ended up with 3 grilled shrimp tacos & fries. Looking forward to returning. Thank you

On arrival we were met by friendly staff and seated quickly. Server was friendly and food was very good. Steak nachos were amazing! I rated this a 4 instead of a 5 for what could be considered minor elements: the Margarita was small and not very good; and the booth seating was tight and too high for the table. As tourists we likely will not be back in the area but if we did, I would recommend table/chair seating

THE Biggest, most delicious grouper sandwiches we've ever had! Hubs had his blackened and Bestie has hers fried (pictured). I loved my mahi and shrimp tacos with their sweet and tangy coleslaw. RITA'S fries were plentiful and yummy too! We left happy and stuffed. I wish I had taken more pictures, but I was too busy enjoying my own food. It was our first and only time to Folley Beach so we feel very lucky to have picked Rita's as our lunch spot!

The food is ALWAYS excellent; however, the service is somewhat lacking. We love Rita’s and love to dine there as often as we can when in Charleston. If they would raise there service level to the same standard as their food, they would be unstoppable!! So if you only have a party of two, your service will be sub par at best, and this wasn’t a one time thing! Over the course of several days, it happened every time! The bigger tables seem to get ALL of the attention!!

It's alright. I wouldn't say the food is super great but also nothing is terrible about it. Prices are the biggest gripe I've got. Other than that atmosphere was good. Service was good. Ordered steak frites and the best thing was the fries.

We had lunch at Rita’s around noon. Menu posted from outside. Hostess quickly sat us at booth in air conditioned area which was great relief from July heat. Given water upon waitress arrival to take order, very nice. Food arrived in timely manner and was very fresh and delicious. Dining room began to fill as we left. Overall excellent experience and we would recommend if visiting Folly!

Food is amazing!! Best burger we have ever had! Service….don’t expect good service is you are a table of two. We have been here three times this week, and each time our server is barely there to check on us, get refills, see if we need anything, and etc. The manager (bald guy - didn’t get his name the three times we’ve been this week) walks and checks tables to see how they are doing - every table except two tops. Again, the managers and servers are only worries about tables of four or more.

This place is always great, tuna nachos are out of this world and salads are amazing.

We ate breakfast here and every one of our meals was great. I recommend the French toast or the breakfast hash. Friendly staff and the location is great!

One of the best burgers I ever ate. The restaurant was packed so we ate at the bar. It didn't bother us at all. We were here for the beach and even at the bar the service was very good and the food came from heaven.

Really well done seafood. Had a great salad with blackened shrimp, they were absolutely amazing. BF had a seafood plate that was also really well seasoned. Prices were what I would expect for a beach town with fresh food. Had some live music on this Sunday afternoon and it was a nice dinner.

Rita's is an absolute gem! We were blown away by the incredible cornbread and delicious seafood dishes. The staff was not only accommodating but incredibly sweet, making our dining experience truly memorable. One of the highlights was their dog-friendly patio, allowing us to enjoy our meal with our furry companion by our side. They efficiently seated everyone as quickly as possible, which was greatly appreciated. I must commend the staff again—they were attentive and welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the evening. The live music added a fantastic ambiance to an already wonderful atmosphere. If you're looking for great food, fantastic service, and a welcoming environment, Rita's is the place to go. We can't wait to visit again!

Went to Rita’s first for breakfast. It was good, husband ordered eggs Benedict. Could have used a lot more hollandaise sauce. My eggs and bacon were good. Our server was friendly although she seemed to be very busy. Went back for dinner, specifically for their shrimp and fish tacos. We both got them. They arrived very quickly. Server was very good. Tacos were stuffed full, and very tasty. I couldn’t find actual shrimp in the meat area, I think they chopped it up with the fish. The slaw was was very good. Their fries were different but good. I would go back.

Food was really good! Grouper sandwich was crunchy and flavorful. Hummus appetizer was the best we’ve ever eaten. That dish alone will have us eating her multiple times on vacation! Brussel sprouts were great with an above average pork chop. Lobster roll was good, but very mayonnaise (or whatever binder they use) forward. Again, good, but would’ve preferred drier version. Wings were great and peel and eat shrimp hot the spot.

Rita's is close to the beach and had a nice homey atmosphere to it. I took a few stars because they should fix the AC unit above the tables on the side by the door and by the restrooms. It leaks on you and your food while eating so it's annoying. We did ask to be moved to another table but it was still on that row under the A/C. If it wasn't leaking it would have been a better experience. Other than that, my husband and I had the burger and fries which were good and my Pina Colada was delicious. The waiter was awesome and attentive to us so very happy with everything other than the leaky AC lol!

The shrimp and grits was fantastic!

Had a party of 13 and they got us in quick and sufficiently. Appetizer was the pork nachos, which was absolutely delicious. Got the shrimp and fish tacos for my entree which is absolutely amazing and delicious. My husband got the pork belly and grits which he was ok with, he is super picky FYI…..Had the rum runner and Miami drizzle hit the spot right after coming off the beach. Super courtesy staff and clean restaurant

I really enjoyed the food here. There was such a variety of dishes and great drinks, all with the breeze of the ocean and live music tonight. From the host to the manager to our server, everyone was very polite, which made me give a 5-star review for Rita’s. I started with the she-crab soup and had the pork belly over cheese grits. The only thing I would change is to make the grits creamier.

My garden omelette had what seemed like leftover vegetables and was very disappointing. If I had known it had cauliflower, zucchini, squash, and sweet potato, I definitely would have ordered something else.

Ordered the salmon. It was pretty good. Cooked a lil long with a crispness to it. Just how I like it. The mashed potatoes were good but not hot when i got it. I ended up getting it loaded and the bacon didnt disappoint.Wife had the pull pork sandwich. I tried it and was surprised that it was pretty delicious with the cole slaw. It had some red peppers in it and I'm not a big vegetable eater but it gave it the flavor it needed. The fries were also another surprise. I mean it's just fries, but they were different. Check was about $55. Andrew our waiter took care of us though. I will more than likely eat here again. Only thing I'd complain over were the potatoes being a little on the cold side. But it was still good. The portion was ok. Not big though. Just decent.

We got the cold seafood platter and were not disappointed. With an appetizer, it was enough for two to share. The patio atmosphere was nice with a pleasant breeze. It's right by the road but traffic was not loud enough to be a distraction. The waitress seemed to be overworked or slammed, so we gave her a break, but I can't say it was bad service at all. Overall 5/5, recommend!

This place rocks! Live music and great food. People are very nice. I always get either the fried shrimp basket or the shrimp and grits. Good portions as well. Want to try an addicting cocktail? Ask the bartender for a “Crack Baby.” Thank me later. 🍹

Loved the hummus appetizer and the tomato burrata salad was awesome. Super disappointed in the shrimp and grits because it was so greasy.

The live music is what drew our family in, a lone star w. A guitar, Champagne was his name lol. Anyway, the waiter was super cool, he reommended the Salmon, it was so good. We've never had fresher blackened salmon. They even gave us a frisbee that worked fantastic! What more could a person ask for?! lol. Needless to say, we went back and ordered 4 more dishes and they were all bomb. It really was a perfect night cap to our beach trip. ⛱️

We absolutely love this establishment and love this high corner table!!! We try and sit here on every visit. The food is always fantastic and the service is top tier…. AND THE DRINKS….. MAGNIFICENT❤️!!!!

Rita's was a sweet restaurant. I was surprised we landed a table on a very busy day. We walk in, and a couple is performing live music that was really good. Shout out to those two! The ahi-nachos were phenomenal. Their kitchen actually filled the nachos up which was nice. Instead of just doing a ton of chips with all the goods at the very top. The wings were good. So that was a nice compliment to the nachos. God Bless America. Highly recommend!

Terrible service, eggs Benedict was cold with hard boiled eggs...do better

The service was excellent and we chose this place for its pet friendly option. I got the grouper blackened and it was one of the best grouper I've had. The crab bisque was also delicious. The lobster roll was good and the beer options were decent. The only downside of this place was the "plain scrambled egg" on the dog menu although the portion size was great the chef cooked it like it would give a human a heart attack it was seeping grease and full of salt and pepper. I wouldn't have been happy with it for my own breakfast let alone an 8lb maltese. Clearly the chef doesn't own a dog.

They offer the best ever Avocado Toast! This eatery is across the street from the beach and this location has both ample amounts of indoor and outdoor seating.

Rita's Seaside Grille provided a gratifying dining experience. The ambiance, food, and service were all commendable. Even though it was a busy weekend, we were promptly seated and served in a timely manner. Overall, it was a delightful and satisfactory visit. I definitely recommend it.

Don't waste your money on their desserts. We had the strawberry cheesecake and key lime pie, overpriced and not good.

I hope you get Tina as your waitress! She worked hard to make sure my better half's food was prepared separately from any shellfish. The whole business, but Tina especially, takes allergies seriously

Service was lousy, live music was more obnoxious than entertaining, and the menu item “Pork Chop” is not double cut as the menu states… the menu is just wrong I guess. The drinks were fire, only thing saving this from 1-2 star
