We love this restaurant! It is definitely our favorite lobster dock, but all of the food is great. The service is wonderful and the atmosphere is amazing. They often have live music. Highly recommend!

The service was fantastic, our waitress (Alyssa?) was perfect. My haddock was a little dry but delicious, my husband's lazy man's lobster was perfect. Everyone else with us were very happy with their dishes.

Took an HOUR to get an appetizer on a slow day. We came in mid afternoon and it was slow. We know this because the waitress commented that she loves it when it's slow and quiet, that she doesn't like shouting over crowds and music. We order our meals plus an appetizer and wait. And waited. And waited. We waited for one hour - this is not a typo. The waitress kept trying to argue that the kitchen was busy. "Is slow out here but it's crazy in the kitchen!" Why is it crazy in the kitchen on a slow day? What is it like when it's busy? Do you wait 3 hours for food? The food came and it was okay. Our haddock was terribly over cooked but the rest was fine. We got very little food for the amount of money we paid. And they didn't even attempt to apologize for the wait. I won't go back.

We went to have dinner and was told it was amazing. Not so the food was terrible, I am not one to complain unless it is terrible. I got the crab roll it was disgusting no flavor tasted like it was soaked in water. My husband got the baked haddock the rice was terrible and haddock was no flavor also. I would rate this place as a one, because I have no idea what the other food was like.

We both had the seafood trio (white fish, shrimp & scallops). The seasoning is excellent. Very well done. Came with rice and asparagus. I cleaned my plate. Had blueberry pie for dessert. It came warm with an excellent crust! You know this place is good based upon the high number of Maine plates in the parking lot! The locals are clearly eating here.

2023 / Very good food. Had lobster, oysters, shrimp, haddock, and scallops. Bloody Mary's were great too. Outstanding view. 2024 / Twin lobsters and fisherman's platter both were both great again. We had to have the Bloody Mary's again too. They were not quite as good but drinks made by someone else are always different and not always better. Thankyou to Hanna for taking care of us. We might stop back again, before we leave Maine for home.

Always look forward to a great burger as I don't do seafood.but it has been replaced by a smash burger, they are lousy. also gluten free buns taste like saw dust. Very disappointing

Very over priced! We ordered the lobster roll for $36 each. One of us got a decent amount & the other got far less..almost just a dusting over the lettuce. When we told the waitress she let the kitchen know & in return we were told that they r each measured out. WELL SOMEONE OBVIOUSLY SCREWED UP! For a restaurant that charges that much $$ U would hope would correct the situation. Nope…they did not even try! Never going back there again!

The food was delicious. Our server was great and checked in many times and the atmosphere is outside, on the ocean. Hot everywhere else but nice breeze here. Would definitely go again.

Robinson's: $36 for a 4oz lobster roll and fries? $16 for a very small amount of overcooked seared ahi tuna? Not good. This Boothbay classic restaurant has lost its groove! For a lobster roll, try Shannon's Unshelled instead. For atmosphere and service, Mine Oyster.

We picked up 2 lobster rolls with fries.It is our first time in Maine. Market price turned out to be $80.00 We were told the price after we picked up the takeout. this sure destroyed our joy of Main lobser treat we expected. the lobster had very little flavor and the fries were soggy. We found a better source for lobster for much less.

Food was freaking awesome. We had sesame sashimi tuna and the haddock tacos. You have to try them. Service was really really good. We sat on the covered part of the wharf and watched the lobstermen drop off their catches. We also had some drinks and beers. Best lunch in recent memory. Please go.

Relaxed inside and outside seating on a working lobster dock. Everything on the menu is great as is the service and the view. I always have the Southport fondue appetizer a lobster & crab Newburg.

Beautiful one-stop-shop on the water. A seafood market, gift shop, ice cream, and fast casual restaurant with the freshest seafood in Maine. No, really, they catch and sell their own lobsters! It's a wharf for Pete's sake lol. Daily lunch and dinner specials always seem enticing but I love the seafood trio. It comes with haddock, shrimp, and scallops. Scallops are to die for. 10/10 would eat over and over again. Different mind blowing specials every day for lunch and dinner, absolutely worth exploring.

We sat inside on their second level as the weather hadn’t yet cleared. The view was a small working harbor complete with Lobster boats! My husband had steamers for his appetizer & fried clams for his lunch. I tried the salmon sandwich special and it was perfect! We think maybe the salmon was poached as it was tender & cooked properly! Along with my meal came fries & Cole slaw. It was all delicious! Having never had a salmon sandwich before, the salmon was cooked so it was pinkish inside and not fried. We could see boats coming & going while we ate. A perfect lunch in a very nice location! There’s also an opportunity for children to see Lobster men bringing in their catch!

Average overpriced food.. I had the lobster roll which had very little lobster in it and an overly sugary blueberry pie We’ve been on a maine road trip now for five days and this is the most expensive and worst lunch we’ve had Setting was nice though… but food just not worth it

Canned cheese sauce, heated in a flat ramekin. We should have eaten the oysters and mussels- same as last year. Processed food with no seafood flavor. Our server was almost totally absent, and they were not even busy.

Excluding Klingons, Robinson’s Wharf is the best Wharf based restaurant in Mid Coast Maine. Come and watch real live Wharf activities in action as the most elite fleet of Lobster Fishermen go about the business in the Lobster trade. Don’t forget about visiting the lobster tanks and see real live Maine Lobster waiting to fulfill their lobster destiny!!

The food was ok but scandalously overpriced! I paid $42 for a Lobster Roll that came with a modest pile of fries that was served in a hot dog bun and half filled with cheap shredded iceberg lettuce = half the amount of lobster one normally finds in a lobster roll. I’m from New York City metro area and am used to high prices in restaurants but this is ridiculous. I’ve had lobster rolls in other New England areas that are stuffed full of lobster for half the price - no lettuce filler. Quality was fine but I felt as if I was paying a ton of money for iceberg lettuce and with a garnish of lobster.

If you're looking, specifically, for the delicacy of "new shell lobster", then look no further. If you're coming up to Maine looking to order a 1.5 or 2 lb lobster, with the correlative meat ratio; then I'd look elsewhere. Was it tender & delicious? yes. But you can see from the photos taken 11 minutes apart.... it was like 3 bites/ea for the cost of a 2x 2lb lobsters. Pie was good

We came across the water in mid-April so the dark rum and hot coffee was well needed and quickly served. The server was wonderful with our almost five year old grandson and equally charming and efficient with us adults. They made all the accommodations this celiac needed on the menu and the haddock, scallops and shrimp were wonderfully prepared and totally delicious. This place never disappoints.

Had family in town staying in Boothbay and we were looking for classic Maine fare. We got here in time for live music and everyone was having a blast. Food was excellent and there were rave reviews across the table!

Man oh man!! Robinson's wharf is everything I've heard about and better. They had a special on the board. Today- a Korean chicken sandwich with kimchi and it was the best chicken sandwich I have ever had in my entire life. The service is amazing. Everyone is so friendly. They have a dining area downstairs and a dining area and bar upstairs where there's music sometimes. In the warm months, there's also decks and patios which overlook the salty sea. What more could you ask for really??! Their seafood is fresh fresh fresh of course!

Staff always works hard for a great experience!

My wife and I ate here a few times on a long weekend in 2019 and it never disappointed. The location is great, the food is better and the service was fantastic.

We were really happy that we found and tried Robinson's Wharf. The staff was really friendly, definitely a tight-knit team, helping each other out to always make sure the customers had what they needed. There was not much of a crowd, because this is in the off season - we had our choice of table, which we now understand is not possible at all in the summer. The menu had great options. Everything we had was made there - no frozen foods. We had the New England clam chowder, (generous amounts of clam, bacon and potato chunks, in a buttery broth). We tried the fried artichoke hearts - they were fresh-made, with a light batter and aioli dipping sauce, very tasty. For dinner, we had a lobster dinner (nice size, great cole slaw, and only the corn was subpar, but that's because it's so far off season) and a crispy caprese sandwich (nice rounds of fried and gooey mozzarella, on tasty toasted Tuscan bread) with awesome fries. Our waitress, Alyssa, took lots of her time to share information on the vibe and culture. Great laid-back place, really good food, reasonable prices. Best of all, good staff who genuinely liked being there.

Good local food & daily specials. Service at the bar was good. Live bands on the weekends in the summer on the deck.

Four for dinner at Robinsons Wharf on Friday night. They do not take reservations but we were seated quickly. We had been to this restaurant before, for lobsters on the deck. This was our first time dining indoors in cooler weather. We were seated upstairs near the bar. It was a bit noisy, but not unusual for a bar area. Our waiter Jake was great! Every time he came to the table he reminded us of his name in case we needed him. We started with the mussels (fantastic). One of our party had a lobster, one had the salmon special and two of us had the fish & chips. BEST, FRESHEST fish & chips ever!!

Everything was perfect, our server was on top of it and so was the bar. I had the lobster roll and I’m hoping as an out-stater I can come back and have the same exact thing! The food is perfection as well. Can’t wait to come back to this amazing area.

I've been coming here for 30+ years, this was my first time back in almost 8 years. It's been through some changes and it seems for the better. A spectacular place for sharing some of the best coastal Maine has to offer with friends and family. Excellent fish market as well.

Ein authentischer Ort an einer Lobster-Pier. Sehr gute Cocktails werden angeboten. Eine Speisekarte, die neben dem regional Üblichen auch Ausgefallenes enthält. Sehr zu empfehlen u.a. die Tuna Wantans. Der Service ist gut gelaunt, flink und kundig. Es hat uns alles sehr gut geschmeckt, Preise nicht überteuert. Eine prima Empfehlung!

A really laid back evening meal sitting outside in early October. Heaters came on which made this easier as the sun went down. Real good simple but effective seafood. Good friendly service provided.

Been coming here for 40 years on our annual trips to Boothbay. A bit overpriced for lobster considering the Boothbay Lobster Wharf has the same items for a lot less. At Robinson's we order the Hard shell lobster special. They were disappointing as the shells were soft and nmot much in them. The steamers were good; clean and tasty. With tip the bill was just under $140.00 a whopping increase compared to BB Lobeter Wharf. We'll probably skip our annual stop here in the future.

We were staying nearby and opted to try here for dinner. It seemed popular as after we sat down lots of others arrived. Ordered the blueberry mojito, chickpea tacos and chowder for starters, both delicious and the chowder was my fave of the trip. For mains I had the hot butter lobster roll and hubby doesn’t do fish so he had the burger. All very nice and fresh. Our sever Amy (I think) was really nice too.

We had the twin lobsters and clam chowder. They were to die for. Great flavor 😋. Mom had the chicken sandwich and onion rings. She enjoyed them as well as the key lime pie. Wood highly recommend Robinson's Wharf to eat at. The waitress was very nice and informative. Thank you for a wonderful opportunity to eat at enjoy the other patrons there. I just can't get this rating above average. The food (for all 4 of us) was good but nothing to "write home about. The lobster was very tasty but all the other dishes were just ok. Service was excellent and prompt. I wouldn't hesitate to order the blueberry pie. It was excellent! For an added treat opt to sit outside. They have heaters and its really pleasant. Additionally, the lobstermen dock their boats on the pier you're eating at and you can watch them unload their catch. Parking is ample and prices are as fair as they can be given the current environment.

Wonderful fresh seafood and big dock space for outdoor eating

Absolutely the best dining experience I’ve ever had! Our server introduced me to the Chef and walked me through the lobster tanks! I even got to meet a Captain who was bringing in the lobster straight from his boat! Lobster was amazing and fresh! The kindness of the staff was bar none! Can’t say enough great things about this restaurant!

I had the twin lobsters with corn and cole slaw - they were excellent, my wife had a huge haddock sandwich that came with lots of fries. We ate out on the deck - this restaurant now had table service - lots easier than the wharf in boothbay were to have to hop around to several areas to order.

Everything a Maine seafood restaurant should be. Exceeded our expectations. Being situated on the water was perfect!

Delicious seafood offerings and robust draft beer menu. The clam chowder was special! Our wait person was knowledgeable and very friendly. Lobster boats were unloading fresh catch at the dock next to the restaurant while we were enjoying the outside deck. So happy to have stopped here.

This is among the best representation of Maine I have experienced! Location, laid back casual atmosphere, both indoor and outdoor dining and some great Seafood! Oysters were so fresh and tasty, Steamers and mussels helped round out the appetizers for our table of 5. Everyone was happy with their dinners and drinks. If your in the area, give it a try!

We had stopped in Robinson’s earlier in the week for a bowl of clam chowder. The best we’ve had in Boothbay area. Went back 3 days later for another bowl. However, after noticing so many orders of mussels being delivered to tables, we also ordered mussels. Our server, Stacy, who recommended them very highly, was phenomenal. Attentive without hovering. Stacy was great. The mussels were absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to have them again.

Great place to hang out for drinks. Live music was great also. Unfortunately it took over an hour & a half to get a table. Asked for an outside table but was put at a table inside. Food was good. Wait staff as also nice and friendly

Great place if your looking for a classics ME seafood/lobster pound. The food is great. It’s so popular that it’s hard to get a seat. No reservations taken. Sit at the bar. All the bartenders are great especially Alexa and Alba. Same food and it’s served more expeditiously.

It may have just been the day we went but took over and hour to get our food after ordering. I got the lobster roll which was really small for $34 and came on a wonder bread roll. Figure they could have at least put it on a better roll. There was about one claws worth of meat on it.

Fabulous fresh seafood. Even in a light drizzle a lovely outdoor deck experience.

We got 4 steamed soft shelled lobsters, 2 orders of steamers (clams) and we were taking them home to be served over butter and pasta. Everything was steamed to perfection!

Exceptional seafood. The lobster was cooked perfectly and so fresh. Delicious family style salad. The Haddock tacos were so yummy. We’ve visited this restaurant many times throughout the years of visiting Southport and loved it, but I have to say I think this year they are even better. Kudos to the hardworking staff.

The lobster roll was delicious, and they had gluten free bread which was great for me (food sensitivity). My husband's Shore Dinner was very good - lobster, steamers, corn of the cob, clam chowder and cole slaw was very good. There was also live music where we were seated on the deck oceanside.

We were disappointed that water is served in throw away non-recyclable plastic cups while soda, beer and wine are served in glass. Thumbs up for reusing food platters and baskets and metal utensils. Please invest in plastic water pitchers for the table and canning jars for water glasses. Food and atmosphere will bring us back for sure. Five stars if they switch to glass.

Robinson's was highly recommended for their lobster rolls - and they didn't disappoint. Mine was simply divine! As were the fries. Wished I had room for a second but, alas, I was too full. Our server was a wonderful addition to the experience - and the views were lovely. Will definitely go back while we're in the area.

We are here and had a mediocre experience. The waiter was not really suited for the job and the food took ages to be served. Portion size seems to have shrunk since we had previously eaten there in years past. Without resolution of their clear issues with help and management, I would advice you to eat elsewhere. This is a shame, because it is a really cool location.

We’ve been going here for a few years now as we come to Maine often, the Food and service is very good as is the location and atmosphere, however we noticed on menu now that they add a “A 3% service charge will be added to all orders. This is to help offset the ongoing increases in food, paper and labor” well what does the cost of the meal cover if it’s not to cover those cost? Been here for a week and have not had an up charge like that at any other restaurant we’ve been to, have had one charge to use credit card but not for additional charges for what should be covered in price of meal. We work in industry and don’t think we’ve ever seen that on a menu. Will not be going back until that changes!

For lunch the patio was large with several types of seating and the haddock nuggets were great. The fried green beans were average. The next day for dinner, the main level of the restaurant was hot and stuffy from the kitchen, but upstairs was perfect. The wait was short, yet hostesses were having a hard time keeping track of parties since they weren't taking names. The seafood trio bake was buttery and not overcooked. Another star off of service for waiters never taking our oyster appetizer bucket from the table.

The food was amazing and our waitress was very nice and patient. There was nice chill low-key music playing in the backround and there was a good amount of seating throughout restaurant and it seemed like there was a lot of other people there who liked it as well. And to top it off our seat and other seats next to some windows give a good view of the bay.

Beautiful setting out on the deck with picnic table, umbrella, sun and 74 degrees. Prices are appropriate for this touristy area. Despite the price, portions were more than generous. Had fish and chips and these ahi tuna wontons. Kids with pasta, chix tenders (amazing). Homemade tartar with two huge pieces of lightly fried haddock. Just awesome. Service was a bit slow…especially when we were waiting for him to appear again for the bill. You can pay on phone which helping timing once I received the bill. Verdict- great seafood in a beautiful setting. Happy vacation folks!

Our party of six was generally pleased with the food. The ovens were down, so three of the six didn't get what they originally wanted. My substitution order of haddock tacos was delicious. Needed more chipotle sauce though.

Get a real parking lot. WTF? Obviously not at a loss for revenue since there’s a 1 hour wait for a table every night. Invest some capital so that your restaurant experience isn’t negatively impacted by the chaotic parking adventure

Excellent seafood restaurant with lots of outdoor seating! Although the menu is what you’d expect of New England seafood, there were a lot of nice touches that elevated the taste: such as herbs and smoky bacon in the perfect clam chowder, and fresh dill in the homemade tartar sauce that accompanied delicious fried haddock bites. Great local beers on tap too!

Love this place! Great food and the bar at the end of the pier is fantastic. Great view, cool breezes, delicious drinks. I'm not a seafood person but my friends are always happy. This is a must atop on the penninsula.
