First time eating at this place and we will not be back. Not really anything for my toddler to eat and they advertise juice but have no juice. The chips he was served still in the bag were expired. My pulled pork had an old disgusting flavor. The beans and cornbread were cold. The potato wedges were not fully cook. My husband sausages were terrible no flavor

Best Sausage Hoggie Sandwich I’ve ever ate!! And I’m 53 yrs old and I’ve ate Plenty of them!! Get the peppers and onions with BBQ sauce and mustard! Ohhh Lawd it was good! I’m definitely going to go come back and bring Family and Friends!

Stopped by for the first time with the new owners and I have to say it's totally different. The portion size is very small compared to what it used to be and it costs more. The BBQ was good and the baked beans were good as well even tho it's not the same as before. I don't know if I'll come back tho based on the price and the portion size

7/26/24 Ribs were tuff lots of Gristle. When I picked up my order aluminum container was warm at best. I asked why are these ribs just warm (barely) the attendant said they just came out of the storage drawer. Got home ribs are cooler, had to reheat. Must have been old stock, Not,hot,not recently made NOT what I expected for "FRESH RIBS"" disappointed!!!

Soggy meat. Didn't seem fresh. Probably just the wrong day.

Roommate and I decided to stop for dinner. Since his birthday is tomorrow, he decided he wanted barbecue. This is probably the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. I cannot recommend it enough. He got a rib platter, I got the Texas smoked brisket platter.

Nice place. Counter service with covered outdoor seating. Parking lot is close to the road. Might be difficult with a large vehicle.

Food was pretty good. Best brisket I have ever had. Pulled pork and pulled chicken were pretty good. I tried all the BBQ sauce except the one that said and looked hot and they were all good. Really good cornbread too. If I was from around there it would be a regular stop for sure. They know what they are doing.

Took granddaughter out for lunch. She says this is her favorite place to eat. I tried the barbeque, potato salad and cole slaw. We had nachos. It was very good. Tasty. With drink I spent right at ten dollars a person. . I was full when I left. I will return to try other menu items. ROLLIN SMOKE IS FANTASTIC.

The pulled chicken was a little dry and could have used more sauce. The Mac and cheese was good. The Cornbread was delicious. I thought the price was decent compared to other places. Not overwhelmed, but I definitely want to try them again. I feel like the dry chicken might have been an anomaly because the rest of our order was pretty good. Definitely worth a visit.

The smoked wagyu brisket is the best ever. The fat is like a jelly on this delicious and flavorful platter.

The best brisket I’ve ever had! It was buttery, tender and savory. The location is a great little place with a relaxing view of the river. The manager was very personable and took great care of us! So nice! Will definitely eat there again!

Stopped off here on a road trip and the sampler platter/brisket was totally worth it. Amazing American BBQ done right! And the hot sauces were lit too!

One of the best experiences I have ever had at a food place. Very nice staff and well cooked food. The ribs were spot on and the chicken wings were cooked just right and I recommend the garlic parmesan sauce with the wings. My daughter loves the macaroni bowl with pulled pork. The service was very well. Everyone made sure I got exactly what I ordered and it was made right. Michael was our server and he did a great job at making sure that we understood everything and did a good job at explaining what comes with every meal. We were a little late coming in at 6, but they were nice enough to leave the place open for us to eat before they officially closed.

Google hours states they are open until 7pm but when I arrived at 6:05 they were already closed. Glad I drove 30 minutes one way for this

First time here and couldn't have been more disappointed. The wings were very dry and tough. The ribs were not smoked. They didn't have any rub. They were the most bland Ribs I may have ever had.

Sadly disappointed. Went in on Saturday around noon. The place was almost empty. That should have told me something. Ordered the sausage plate and my god talk about over smoked sausage. These things should have been pulled 50% earlier. Dry, dry, dry. A decent flavor but again dry dry dry. I want sausage to squirt in your mouth. This was void of almost any moisture. The beans that were advertised from a smoker tasted just like from a can. Absolutely nothing added and no smoke flavor either. The red potato salad was pretty bland. If you guys are making it yourself, put something extra in there to make it special. Plus it seems like it's another premade commercial salad that you can get anywhere. A place that's specializes and only does barbecue should not serve any dried out pieces of anything. They should know better.

I found Rollin Smoke BBQ by pure chance when I was passing thru Charleston, WV. I wanted some good BBQ (not from a chain), so I started looking outside of Charleston...and this came up. As you approach on the road and then walk inside, you know this is going to be a good local choice. It just has "that" look. The portion sizes (for the platters) are generous with a main and two sides. The pulled chicken was the juiciest that I've had in quite awhile; the brisket was tender and very well prepared. As for the sides (coleslaw, potato wedges, corn bread, potato salad)...they were all delicious. Now, lets talk about those sauces. There were four available, and I thought that the plain BBQ was pretty good. That being said, the other two sauces were much better (although I did not try the third sauces, which was the hottest of the sauces). Seating is available both inside and outside. The inside seating is very humble tables, with a magnificent view overlooking the river down below. I highly recommend stopping by and having some of the best BBQ.

Great food and drinks as well as the staff. Relaxing atmosphere with great seating overlooking the river. We'll be back.

I've had BBQ all over, including NC and TN. I'll put Rollin' Smoke up against any of them! Absolutely delicious!

It used to be great, but the last two times the brisket was super dry. I got ribs today and they were so tough and dry I didn’t even finish them. The potato salad and macaroni & cheese were awesome though.

Best pork shredded BBQ i have found since moving from Thomasville, NC. Ordered the platter, baked beans were very good. Hash brown casserole was very dry, didn't eat much of it. Cornbread was very hard. Loved the bbq, will definitely be back. Hate the parking lot trying to pull out onto the main road.

The last time I ate here it was terrible. The ribs weren't edible. I ended up throwing them away. They didn't get the order right. Gave me the wrong potatoes. The ribs were so dry they were like jerky. I did go in the evening. Teenagers were running it. I was so disappointed.

Ribs so dry barely editable, pulled pork had no flavor and was like mush. Would not go back.

Ordered today for our dinner this evening. Got the pulled pork with slaw on the side, potato wedges and coleslaw, pulled pork with slaw on the side, mac n cheese and coleslaw. Actually ordered the sampler but had to substitute due to them being out of many items in the sampler. Completely understandable as they are closing their doors Friday September 2, 2022. Due to our economy it is no longer feasible for them to continue. So sad to hear this as I just tasted each item I ordered and everything is delicious. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is lack of green veggies for side options.

Phenomenal brisket and huge portions! Looked a little shady outside but the food was great, the place was very clean, and the folks inside were friendly and professional.

In my +-month stay on the north side of Charelston I've hit Rolling Smoke, 4 or 5 times. Every time awesome, and affordable. The excellence of the brisket pizza was yet another pleasant surprise. I'll certainly be back for more pizza. Got the loaded baked 🥔 with brisket. A lot of awesome for under $10. I'll add onions next time. Nice covered outdoor seating, a few tables have river views. We made an impromptu stop here for bbq and were glad we did. The brisket was tender, juicy amd full of smokey good flavor, as was the pulled pork and pulled chicken. They had a large assortment of sauces to top off the meat.. the fiery sweet was my favorite. They also had a good assortment of sides and choices for non bbq loving kids. (Hot dogs,pepperoni rolls) To top off the great food.... they were super fast. Edited to add: after I did this review I realized I had left my purse. They had already closed but the staff was so helpful to get it back to me, as I was from out of town. THANK YOU.

Been here maybe a dozen times over the last three years. Everything very good - except the ribs, which used to be great, but the last two times we ordered them the texture was like they had been sitting in a steam table for a looong time. Ribs are what BBQ is all about to me, so two stars taken.

Great visit. We got the small sampler and the brisket plate. Staff were super helpful and nice. They sold out of ribs while we were there. Glad to see they are doing well.

While passing by, we stopped for lunch. I had the small sampler and my husband had a big sampler. What a waste of money. Not only that everything taste the same,but it's taste less, unkooked and missing spices or at least meats should be marinated. Brisket really hard, ribs should be falling off the bone, unfortunately it was an opposite.

Smoked Bologna and Brisket were amazing. Don't forget about the smoked Mac and Cheese!

We have been going here since they opened. This is the cleanest and most well run BBQ place we have come across since living in WV.

First time stopping here got more BBQ than was expecting. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich it was piled with the meat ! I would have liked a little more sauce than what was on it but it was still pretty darn good. Parking lot not the biggest and it's just off the main road so it can be a challenge getting out

Rollin Smoke BBQ in Big Chimney has some really great tacos. Today I tried both the pulled pork and chicken tacos. The tortillas were soft and very filling. They have a special creamy salsa like sauce on them that just blends all the flavors together. The meat was flavorful and tender; both meats are great choices for tacos. Plus, two tacos are only $5!

The environment and atmosphere is totally unique and comfortable as well as authentic and that just adds to the fact I got here for the best smoked meats I have found. Really miss the one they had in sissonville .. But i am dipl.ing to travel 30 plus miles for the food and pass up many of there competitors just for theres

This is the best food experience we have enjoyed in a long time. We had a sampler plate and pulled chicken. The flavor is mouth watering delicious and they have the complete menu.

This local restaurant is a treasure! Right in the river, with indoor and outdoor eating space. The staff is friendly and FAST! Everything we had was delicious and the portions are large! Highly recommend checking this out if you're in the area!

The best barbeque we've had in a long time. Portions are generous and you won't leave hungry. Smoked wings, smoked kielbasa, smoked ribs, smoked brisket and pulled pork. I can never decide what I want most. There are some great sides as well. Very friendly and relaxed place. We go every chance we get.

Still good BBQ sandwich and brisket but they forgot to give us any sauces and/ or rolls with the brisket. Not at a crowded time of day, either. Just remember to double check your order since change of ownership! Willing to give them another try.

We have planned family vacations around when this restaurant is open. This trip was a little disappointing. The brisket was warm at best and all the ends that are usually amazing were too tough to chew. Pulled pork had a good flavor but was soft. The ribs were not tender, they were dry. The wings were great. Apparently under new ownership. We didn't even get that amazing smoke bbq smell pulling up to the place. Going this was just an off day.

Great food BBQ sandwich with slaw is the best

The pulled pork, brisket, wings and baked beans are great. The coleslaw, macaroni salad, and potato salad were bland and unseasoned. Definitely will stop in again for their meats!

Was my first visit on Jan. 11, 2020 during a motorcycle ride. The service was good even though they were busy. I sat in their enclosed dinning area. The food was fabulous. Will put this place in my route again. Edit: Stopped here again on Feb. 11, 2020 with my son and we tried their sampler to check out all there smoked meats. It was awesome ! The chicken was not dry like many other smokehouses I've visited. The Brisket was delicious and also not dry. My favorite are the ribs and pulled pork. Note, this is a small place, parking isn't great, however the food makes up for it. Will stop here on my next trip to the area.

You cannot go wrong stopping off here for some food and a beer along the Elk River.

Excellent BBQ from a quaint and rustic restaurant in a rural setting beside the river. The food was delicious. We had a "sampler platter" and everything on it was great. All of the sides were excellent. I particularly liked the red cabbage and the brussel sprouts.

This place is the real deal. Make the trip. Its really not far. You will not regret it unless you hate meat, smoke, or getting full. This is now one of my top 10 places in Charleston. Oh and dont forget to get a daily made pepperoni roll on your way out. Good Job Smokers!

An awesome place. Great view of the Elk River. Fantastic food. Friendly and fast service. It may not look like much from the outside but as the saying goes, 'Don't judge a book by it's cover.' I will definitely be going back and highly recommend everyone to try this place.

Great BBQ. The mini sampler is really good.

Love the food, and the workers are so friendly. Plus the view is beautiful. I drive well over a hour to get here, and it's always worth the drive. If you love smoked foods, and being treated like family this is the perfect place to go.

Absolutely love this place. Food is awesome. Staff is friendly. Tried the ribs for the first time last week and they are awesome! Very rare to find a bbq joint that has good ribs AND pulled pork! Would have given 5 ⭐️ if it wasn’t for the short hours. But I get you guys are prob up before the roosters making those yummylicious ribs!!!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!! The best BBQ I have ever had!! Staff is great and their food is ALWAYS AMAZING. The baked beans are one of my favorites. I haven't tried their pizzas yet but everything I've tried so far has been delicious!!! They now have a dine in area that they did not have a few years ago when I first discovered this place.
