I love their veggie platter. Especially the carrots and string beans. Could be spicier but overall consistent taste and quality whenever I get delivery. The injera is always so soft and warm where other places deliver it dry and cold. It's my go-to Ethiopian spot

No matter what you order, get the fossolia, out of this world. Also would recommend the plantains, good for toning down the spicy stuff. Everything else is pretty standard Ethiopian fare. Portions are huge, and they will usually put everything family style, so make sure they don't if you don't want your food touching meat. The waitress is the owner I believe, who seems to want to tell you, "Order, eat, and get out." Lol. Not rude, but not super friendly either. Great for groups with varying diets because everyone can be accommodated and no one feels like they're missing out.

Ordered the Awaze Tibs and Vegetarian plate, specifically asking that Gomen be subbed for something else (which I do at Lalibela all the time) as I’m allergic to collard greens. Not only did the order arrive with Gomen in the vegetarian dish, so much and right in the middle so it contaminated everything else, they actually included a side of Gomen (and only that) in the same container as the Awaze Tibs, making that inedible too. I called the restaurant and the lady who answered just made excuses. She acknowledged that my order had these instructions but that they were just busy and it’s “no big deal, they would take care of me next time.” There won’t be a next time. I didn’t spend $50 for nothing. Terrible customer service.

It’s been a winter of discontent for quarantined diners here in Los Angeles; discontent, too, for the once-bustling restaurants that shuttered for public health reasons. On my way to order take out from the overwrought Meals By Genet, I stumbled across Rosalind’s on the same busy street at the heart of Little Ethiopia. The small patio, bedecked in stringed lights and palm fronds, seemed an oasis in a pandemic desert. The staff welcomed us to a secluded table for two along one wall and quickly brought bottled water and a menu. The attentiveness and kindness of the waitstaff made dining at Rosalind’s feel like being welcomed into someone’s home. We ordered both the vegan and meat combos and were entirely delighted by the well-spiced and perfectly cooked beef tibs, fossolia (green beans) and mesir wat (red lentils). Cooled with a long swig of St. George’s beer, a mission for take out became a wonderful much-needed date night. Recommended for anyone looking to recharge on food for the beleaguered soul.

Finally visited here with two of my coworkers because we've been talking about having Ethiopian food for a long time and LA has some good ethnic restaurants. We decided here because I had previously been to two others on South Fairfax in the past and we wanted to try a different one. We lucked lucked up because even though it was a Sunday it wasn't crazy busy. We were seated immediately and the lady who servee us brought waters and my friends ordered the honey wine. We were so busy chatting we forgot to look at thr menu when the lady came back to take our orders, but she was nice and didn't rush us and gave us more time. When she came back and askes our orders she suggested we order three meat dishes and the veggie platter because we would all be sharing; so that's what we did. We also ordered appetizers of meat/veggie pies and plantains which was delicious and filling even before the main course arrived. Our main course arrived and the nice lady explained what all the varios veggies were. Of course we added all the extra meats (chicken, beef, lamb) on the platter. The food was good, and again we were not rushed to eat and leave, which is a pet peeve of mine at any restaurant. My coworkers and I had a great experience and would definitely come back here again.

We went because it was recommended and not everyone in our party was keen to try Ethiopian food. However the recommendation proved correct. Oceans of food all to be eaten by hand and 'pancake' as scoop. One person could not eat gluten and they prepared a different 'pancake' which tasted even better. The doubting diners now want to go back for more. The food was pleasantly spicy. We had the 3 meat combo but it seemed like more as it was served with lentils, cabbage and potato and a green vegetable. We also only ordered 5 people and there was still too much for 6 people. We tried the Ethiopian beer which proved more than acceptable. They don't do desserts. All served by the most lovely lady.

It was nice day, so I stopped in this Ethiopian restaurant because they have a nice patio. It was lunchtime, and they did not have any lunch specials, so it was a little expensive, around $18. I ordered the vegetarian plate, which was lots of good food and very delicious. I especially liked the red lentils and the collard greens, but everything was really good. Ethiopian food is an excellent choice for groups, and for conversation. Since you eat with your hands, this limits the cell phone usage. There are a handful of Ethiopian restaurants on this street, and I think what makes this one stand out is the patio. Would definitely eat here again, especially for dinner. Good service.

We were visiting the La Brea Tarpits and noticed we were close to Little Ethiopia. We found what was the best rated of the 7 or so places here on TripAdvisor and were excited for some good food. Bad sign #1: lipstick on the water glass. Bad sign #2: no meat combo options! We thought that was Ethiopian restaurant law! The waitress was also pretty rude, so out the door we went. We are so glad we left as Rosalind's was right next store and it is a true gem! The sambussas were fantastic - very spicy and nice and crispy on the outside. We ordered the meat and veg combos and got a huge amount of food for a very reasonable price. I have eaten at some very good Ethiopian places over the years and Rosalind's ranks up there with the best. The spices were strong and incredibly tasty, making you smile with each bite. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the service was fast. I can't tell you anyghing about the other half dozen restaurants in the immediate area, but if we return, Rosalind's will get our business again for sure!

First of all, if you have never eaten at an Ethiopian restaurant and like to try new things, I recommend this place. We've been in Ethiopian places in other cities and this one is similar, which is to say, very enjoyable. The food is served with some kind of flat bread that you wrap the food in, sort of like a wrap or taco. We ordered the appetizer combination plate, the vegetarian combination, and Fish Tibs (whole fried rainbow trout). This was enough food for the three of us. Everything was very tasty. My wife said the fish was a bit overcooked but it seemed OK to me, and it was a very good sized fish. We also had some Ethiopian honey wine and beer which were good. The entire meal was not expensive.

10/10. Was looking for 2 years for the best Ethiopian restaurant after Nyala closed, and I found it. Been coming here for the past 6 years, always great.
