I went to this restaurant because I wanted Lebanese food for my birthday and it was rated highly on Google. The food is terrible. I told the waiter this because they need to do better. The hummus at trader Joe's is better. How can anyone ruin shawarma?! There was little flavor to the food. I know how to cook Lebanese food and have had better Lebanese food. This place is for people who don't how to cook, because there is no way someone who is a good cook would appreciate this mediocre food Very disappointed. My kids and I left in less than an hour. Waste of money

Excellent atmosphere with great food!

I finally found the best Mediterranean restaurant in the area. This has become our weekly dinner place.

Never again. Overly priced and the waitress didn't tell me putting garlic and coriander on fries is additional. She said "it's in the menu." Didn't bring water for my toddlers until asked, no utensils until asked. Food was okay- nothing special.

I stumbled into this restaurant & was surprised how good the food was. They are different from any middle eastern restaurant. The chicken dish was delicious & spiced beautifully. The lentil soup was delicious & was different to what I always have. Will definitely come back for more!

Rose restaurantt lists its address online as 126 Engle Street. Incredulously, we went to that address and found a cigar store. We called the restaurant - the first time we were disconnected after two rings. The second time a brusque woman answered. I asked, "Can you tell me your address?> She seemed as though she didn't know, hesitated and then put me on hold - for four minutes. Rose is highly recommended and when i like a restaurant i become a regular and bring guests. I am disgusted with this place.

Really delicious food. Best mixed grill I've had in the US. Better to go with people so you can order more stuff.

Improvised restaurant in a basement. Loud, booming echos and even louder patrons. Food was average, but well seasoned. Friendly inexperienced staff.

I threw a birthday party for my husband at Rose’s of Englewood last night. The party was a huge success because this restaurant is awesome. The plentiful food was absolutely delicious; the party room was spacious and bright ; Ximena the lovely manager was on top of everything —very accommodating and a good communicator. She ensured that the vision I had for this party was totally realized. My guests ( 36 adults) have been texting me all day to tell me how much they loved this restaurant! I concur with my guests!

Upon being served, the Fattoush Salad immediately caught my attention with its vibrant colors and fresh ingredients. The salad was beautifully arranged on a large plate, showcasing a medley of tomatoes, cucumbers, and lettuce, topped with toasted pita bread. Went there with a large party yesterday. I’ve been there many times so I knew the food would be great. The only issue is the service, they really need to improve in this area. No one attended to our table for a long time after we sat down and I had to go find the waitress to put in our initial order. The service remained slow or nonexistent for most of our meal. I wanted my family to experience how good this place is but sadly the service soured the meal.

The waiters were not the friendliest. My friends and I didn't receive our main courses until 10 minutes before we were ready to leave. The waiters did not explain to us that certain dishes took longer.

Great service and good quality food. Price is right for the portion. Will go again and will recommend to others as well.

We recently hosted a party here with about 40 guests. Yasmin and her staff were super thorough from the planning process to the end of the night. They were also very accommodating throughout the night as we made last-minute requests that we hadn't thought of earlier. Service was excellent! The food - we may have spent most of the night, and the days after just talking about how good the food is. Generous portions of quality meats seasoned and cooked to perfection. Delicious salads. The boreks barely stayed on the serving platters. The children were also so happy, which is a great plus! We are picky foodies and left very full and wanting more. Another important part was the honesty of the staff. I had lost my earring without even realizing it, and another guest lost her ring. One of the staff members found them and returned to us immediately. We appreciated that very much. We all had a wonderful time, and I look forward to dining here more often.

The food is very delicious, from the appetizers, pitas, salads, children's menu (my child loves to eat here) and the meats are really grilled to suit each person. Even spicy, not spicy, that is to the taste of each person. My family really loves to eat Rose's of Englewood.

The shish tawook was fabulous.!

First off they don’t sell and wraps or real shawarma anymore, They sold me a bowl of oil. I got the French fries with chopped hard over cooked meat. The only thing fresh was the onions they had on the side. Completely a waste of $17. The garlic sauce was too powerful tasted like chopped garlic not enough lemon! Can’t believe this place is in Englewood.

Everything was delicious! And BYOB is a nice plus. We’ll definitely be back.

Love your food, but you REEAAAALLY need to work on your service. There is no reason to keep your customers waiting for 20 minutes for someone to show up and take an order for appetizers. No reason to keep another 50 minutes between finishing appetizers and being able to order entrees (Not an exaggeration by the way, it was so bad that we were about to walk out!) And then when you bring your food, do not forget plates and utensils. And when customers ask for utensils and plates, do not say "yes", then disappear. Enough rambling - this won't deter us from coming back at some point but that most certainly ruined our whole experience. 6/5 for food. 1/5 for service. You've got the best food in town. Your service - please get it together.

We've been waiting forever. All the tables that came after us have been served and have been eating for already 30 mi utes. We are still waiting. We called the waitress twice. Nobody came. The third time we called, she came, took the order. It's been 40 minutes. We are still waiting. Such a cool place with such a low quality service!!! Disappointed!!!

LOVE the food. Appetizer platter, shish tawook (super juicy), terbiali kebab, are my favorites.

I went today and was not really hungry but the kebobs were so good I went from thinking I would have a few bites to essentially finishing my plate. The kebabs were extremely tasty -marinated and juicy - not dry like many other places. The sides were also good. The portions are good and reasonable for the price. The combination salad was very tasty as well. Service was good as well. Definitely coming back!

First and most important, the food is outstanding. I am always a bit hesitant to get falafel because once you have top notch falafel, nothing else will do. Well this place makes the good stuff. You won't be disappointed. And to everyone thinking they are eating tabbouleh when they scoop some at the wf salad bar... Non, you are not. Tabbouleh at Roses, my friends, is the real thing. Baba ganoush: perfect. Hummus: perfect. Armenian beef: perfect. My only food critique: The eggplant dish was too oily for my tastes. I know it is really hard with eggplant, so I am being picky, but it can be done. Three service notes: First: Fine dining should never include plastic water bottles. Please get a water filter and serve tap water with good ice, also made from filtered water. Second: My first dish ordered was missing an ingredient in the kitchen, but I wasn't told until much later. Fine, except I think it led to a rather long wait time to get our main meal. The wait between appetizer platter and main course was just too long. The company was good, but I still get antsy after 20+ minutes. With no water. Third: It is pretty cold in there when it is below freezing outside. (I understand it is expensive to fix such a problem, especially when it usually isn't a problem.)

Had the wonderful "shish tawook platter" lunch at Rose's yesterday. Delicious, fresh, and reasonable - and beautifully presented... thought about it the rest of the day! The owner waited on me and she was so warm and charming - this is exactly the kind of clean and simple cafes that dot the coast of the Mediterranean. Highly recommend.

Please stay away from their Shawarma. I don't think you can call it shawarma even because it was everything but shawarma. It was stings of meat that was attached to hard fat at the ends that was boiled not broiled with some cooked tomatoes it was disgusting with no flavor or appealing. the rest was good but stay away from the shawarma.

Really good food went with a large group everyone was happy with their dinner. Warm and friendly service. Small lot which makes for easy parking which in Englewood can otherwise be challenging.

Had to be one of the worst dining experiences ever. Yasmeene is cold rude and really not be anywhere near front of house. Service was awful and slow in an empty dining room. The food was terrible, old and made with cheap ingredients. When hoping to address concerns, she laughed right in my face; that was the ONLY smile we saw from her. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO TO ROSE'S. The food, service and overall attitude was just gross. Even the bathrooms were dirty and smelled bad. The ceiling had cameras falling out. It just was an all around mess. Her mother would be rolling over in a grave if she saw what Yasmene has done with what her mother built. So much better literally ANYWHERE else. Tipped tje standard 20% regardless because I'm pretty sure she pools tips( hopefully honestly). I also shared my experience w a few friends and they've also met and dealt with this woman. She was the same way with them. I feel bad for her employees and for anyone who goes to dine there.

So glad we tried this restaurant. It's been on our radar but ya know, stuff happens. This was a great dinner from the start. We met jasmine who not only answered any questions we had on dishes we didn't know but she is also the chef. We started with boregi which is a cheese cigars with fresh spinach, liver which was fantastic and the eggplant, char grilled with a lemon garlic sauce. So with 3 winners from the appetizer menu we knew that our entrees would follow suit and they did. The lamb chops were outstanding, flavorful and perfectly cooked in the Lebanese way, char grilled. We also got the Rose's combo grill platter. Kaftan kabobs, lamb chop and shish kabob.. Again perfectly cooked and tasty. If you're a fan of middle eastern food, namely Lebanese in this case then check out Rose's. If you haven't had the pleasure of experiencing Lebanese/ middle eastern food then go and enjoy and give yourself a real pleasure.

We try to dine out locally, or get local delivery (never with those delivery apps) at least 2 times a week. Restaurants are suffering since the pandemic and it's up to all of us to support our neighborhood eateries. Rose's is tucked into a very pretty little building in Englewood on a main drag. Plenty of parking. We entered smoked glass doors and went down a few steps to the restaurant. Immediately, we noticed the pristine cleanliness and simple lines of the dining room. Plenty of light, beautiful mural. Bottled water was brought to the table along with a basket of warm pita and a plate of those lovely little pickled radishes, olives and pepperoncini. Yum to munch while looking at the menu. Now, we love our Middle Eastern restaurants we frequent. Rose's is Lebanese, and there are differences. The biggest one is their native dishes are seared over real charcoal, not a gas grill. And it makes a major difference. But I am getting ahead of myself. We ordered for appies a few things: Borak -- 4 slender cylinders stuffed with cheese and spinach were fresh, crispy, and touched with fresh lemon. So good. Sauteed Liver -- we get it everywhere they sell it and this was a biiig portion, lightly sauteed and spiced -- we put the pita to good use and cleaned the platter. Fried Eggplant was a marvel of simplicity and flavor: 6 thick discs of eggplant chargrilled buttery smooth with a lemon garlic sauce I will dream about until I go back. So far, Rose's is going to see us again. For the Entree, our lovely server who is also the co-owner, Yasmine (forgive my spelling, no disrespect intended) recommended two dishes and we were all about them: The part of the Menu labeled Dinner Entrees is really what Lebanese Cuisine is all about. Look there for your inspiration. We ordered the Rose's Combination Platter which arrived with a Kafta Kabab, Shish Kabab and a Lamb Chop. The fresh and abundant salad that shared the plate made this a marvelous and filling entree. I am a sucker for lamb chops, so I did the Lamb Chop platter. Three nice sized chops, I am guessing around 4 oz each, perfectly rare and soooo tender. Since we are controlling our carbs, I asked for some char grilled tomatoes and they were a perfect pairing with the chops. No room for dessert, but next time, I will try their Lebanese ice cream. So, we will be back, and soon. Bring a bottle of wine, revel in the lovely surroundings, and enjoy some classic Lebanese cuisine with the mother-daughter duo who has been making sweet music here and in Fair Lawn for over a decade. And don't forget to tip.

Authentic, delicious food made with passion. I dined with a group and was able to taste many of the menu offerings. Each and every one fantastic. Be sure to finish your meal with coffee and an exceptional baklava!.

Yasmin was the most perfect host sharing her Mother Rosie’s Lebanese dishes. Our dinner was perfectly prepared. She inquired about our likes & suggested appropriately! Everything was healthy, hearty & platted beautifully. We felt like welcomed guests & I look forward to bringing more friends there!

The best Lebanese cuisine I have ever had…hands down and bar none! I work in the Middle East and have had a lot of wonderful Lebanese food, but it does not compare to the quality of the meats, generous quantities and great ambiance! Go see Yesmene and she will take great care of you!

Ordered the beef and chicken shawarma sandwiches waited about 20+ for it to be flavorless and super dry. The chicken sandwich was super dry no flavor at all it was literally just over cooked chicken lettuce and tomatoes and a drop of white sauce and the beef shawarma was an absolute disappointment it didn't come close to what it supposed to taste like. As a lebanese I feel kinda offended because I know what lebanese cuisine should taste like and this definitely was it. Never again

Truly awful Mediterranean food. The Schwarma was strips of beef over cooked and dry and tasted nothing like Mediterranean food. The chumus was inedible. The only thing edible was the French fries which is hard to get wrong. So disappointed in the food. I gave it two stars because it was quick.

Once again, after so many incredible meals, Rose’s kept its reputation as one of our most favorite restaurants. The food is always fresh and delicious and so consistently awesome. My wife and I have been dining at Rose’s of Englewood on a regular basis since the day they opened. We highly recommend for anyone seeking authentic Lebanese food served with the feeling of being in your friends home.

Run out of there. Me and my husband got food poison from our much yesterday. I’ve vomit 5 times las night till I got that food out of my system. Currently vomiting water and Gatorade since my stomach can receive anything Really really bad.

What a great experience with Lebanese cuisine. Food was flavorful, prepared well and portions were more than generous. I did not expect to see a tongue on the menu (sold out at the time of us dining) and snails. A nice variety of iconic Lebanese dishes to select from . We leaked our plates! It's a casual place so don't expect a high end service. Excellent quiet dining experience. Owner is kind and accommodating. Thank you!!!

Place has great food if in to Lebanese food. We've had shawarma platter, shish tawook, kufta kabob, lamb chops, falafel, hummus, all very delicious. Try garlic paste comes with chicken it's to die for.

Hostess took good care of us and the food was all good. I'm very picky about my mixed grill so I couldn't give it five stars like some other places across the river.

By far the best restaurant I have visited. I don’t try new foods a lot but the perfect taste of all of the food has changed that. Excellent staff very well mannered.

Most delish food in NJ!!! I promise you will love everything from the hummus to the shish kabob. Toshka and tabuli are my personal favorites! This is the one thing I look forward to when visiting from Florida! Amazing!

Another delicious evening. Unfortunately, during this Corona Virus pandemic. Had called ahead, takeout was ready on time (as always). The food is always so delicious. Had 2 meals from one order. Got the Hummus/Meat cubes with Pine nuts appetizer (so, yummy), Falafel, Lamb chops and rice dinner and Kebob dinner. Jasmine (owner chef) puts her heart and sole into the food and service. God Bless her for staying open during these hard times. She has not skipped a beat. Nothing has changed. Everything was fantastic!! Thank you again and again!!!!

We ate here on a Saturday night and there were plenty of empty tables. Staff was very friendly though a bit slow. We had several appetizers which were all good. They were out of lamb chops (really?) which was quite disappointing. I had the mixed kebab which was ok but not great. Not sure I would return here as there are many other good choices for Mediterranean food.

So you're driving through Englewood, and what's the first thing you think of? Lebanese food, right? Okay. Not really. But if you're in the mood for something Mediterranean/Middle Eastern, you could do far worse than going to Rose's. The hummus is excellent, and be sure to try the foul (a sort of fava bean stew). The shawarma and the Armenian beef got excellent reviews, as did something as simple as the rice. Give it a shot.

Best lamb kebabs in NJ. I go here regularly just to have that.

Usually a great experience. But on this occasion we had a terrible waitress that kind of ruined the experience. I always order the same thing and when it came out it was not what I ordered. The waitress insisted that I ordered what I ordered. Not so. Then all of the meat in our dinners came drastically underdone; almost raw. I'm fine with that but unacceptable for the wife and kids. Usually a great experience here but not this time. I'll still go back because at the end of the day my meal was still great.

Great Sheppard salad. Lamb was very good all around nice place.

Went to lunch with my sister in law on a whim. We were very impressed with the food, service, price and cleanliness. It’s a byob so make sure to bring a bottle of your favorite wine. Our waitress was very friendly and answered all my questions about possibly having a party in the future. Would come back again real soon with friends and family. Great place to try.
