I used to love this restaurant. My last 3 recent visits were good. The quality of the food & portion size has gone down tremendously, but the prices are more expensive than before. Whenever you call back and ask for a manager to leave feedback and etc. stuff, it's completely pointless. Because nothing has changed.

The roux burger was delicious. Great atmosphere as well

One of my favorite restaurants when visiting Natchez. I was promptly seated for lunch on Memorial Day. I ordered a cocktail and appetizer when my server came. The alligator sausage and shrimp cheesecake appetizer is always a choice. My entree came first with the explanation that there was a mix up with the appetizer and it would come later with no charge. All of the food was very tasty and I even took the excess home. I look forward to my next visit. The gratis appetizer a nice touch.

Entire experience was so GREAT 👍

We stopped in on our way down the road. Our group of 7 was seated immediately and had a great meal. Seafood, alligator, etc. We will be by again!

EVERY SINGLE THING IN THIS RESTURANT IS ABSOLUTLEY MIND BLOWING. The chicken, fish, and seafood menu items have never disappointed me and i went there at least twice a week when i lived in Mississippi. Of all things that I missed about that short period, This place is at the top of that list.

Too notch. Everything was great. Hush puppies, ceaser salad with salmon and fried oysters, the gumbo, and the plumpest oysters w we, though not as briney as our Damariscottas.

So we ordered the oysters and they come out black charred overcooked off the grill. Not a drop of moisture left in shell to sop up with bread. Also the blackened catfish was well cooked but the mustard sauce has very little flavor. They should serve a different sauce. The dirty rice was good. The zucchini were nicely flavored too. Staff were great.

The food was terrific. I’ll server was even better. Definitely a place to stop on Highway 61

Food was on point, had the Char grilled Oysters and Seafood Platter. They got Natchez and any other surrounding area on lock! Don’t pass them up, a must stop will be back!!

The food never disappoints & drinks are usually great. Oysters & Burgers are my fav here !! Staff is hit or miss ... especially if you have specific questions about food items & what's in the food (I have food allergies, so it's important) ... I've had amazing over the stop serve you staff & staff that look like the entire they are waiting ok you they wanna really say "bishhh get it urself" 🤣🤣🤣... so thats why I only gave staff 2 stars.

Don't let the location outside of town keep you from going. Food was excellent! I had fried oysters and shrimp and bread pudding!

We’ve eaten here multiple times, but the quality has really declined. The steak was very much over cooked. The restrooms were filthy.

This was my first time here. It is a busy restaurant. It was very efficient. We came with a large group and we were served and fed with good time. The two things that impacted a 5 start review were: 1. Our waitress worked hard but it really felt like she was not happy to be there. She was served us well but short in general. When they messed up our order no empathy was applied but she had no issues getting it fixed. Maybe it’s stressful as it is so busy. 2. I got a loaded baked potato. Where in the world is a loaded baked potato cheese and bacon only? A dry potato with no butter and no sour cream? That seemed odd. Lots of the meals looked delicious and everyone enjoyed themselves. We would go back.

The Boudin balls were no cooked all the way. The waitress never asked if we wanted refills. My dinner was barely warm. SAD

We visited Roux 61 on January 31st to celebrate by sister’s birthday - party of 10. We had the pleasure to be served by Vicki. When I tell you, she provided the best service I have ever had at any restaurant in all of my 50 years (no exaggeration). There was never an empty glass or a need for anything. I wanted to take the time to shout her out and make sure she knows there are people out here that still appreciate her attentiveness and kindness! Thank you, Vicki and we hope you enjoyed the cake!😊

I was in town for an auction and asked where I should go for supper. It was recommended to come here and I was not disappointed. I went in and was told I needed to order quickly as the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes, but I could take my time eating. I had a great meal....

One of my favorite seafood spots in my home town, Natchez. Food is always excellent! (My blackened catfish sandwich was just about gone before I thought taking my photo, but I did get the charbroil oysters, lol)

The only reason I am writing this review is because the food is delicious however the staff is horrible. We drove 2 hours and yes the food is great I don't think I would return. Not really what we expected

SADLY DISAPPOINTED. Our server was great but my boudin balls must have been microwaved (hot outside cold in center) , the gumbo was a nixer of charred SOMETHING with undercooked old shrimp flooded over with water. A few items were excellent but could hardly get through them for feeling like we were hovering over a trash can with the gnats we repeated swatted away.

They were amazing. The food was wonderful. We went with a big group, and they got all the orders correct and in a timely manner.

The Roux 61 Seafood and Grill Restaurant Has Delicious seafood dishes. The Delta Queen pasta and Blackened Catfish Dinner and Club Sandwich are Delicious. Five Stars. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The decor of the establishment was very good; made a person want to be there. The drinks (Bloody Mary) were very good but a long time to arrive. The Buffalo wings (breaded) were very good! Amazing sauce. But now for the main course. 10oz sirloin with Cesar salad and stuffed potato. $30.00!!! Ouch The salad was great The stuffed potato was more like a potato casserole than a stuffed potato. Yuck Now the main part… the steak! Terrible! Absolutely terrible! Medium rare… It was salty beyond edible ! With no sign of our waitress at any time after our food was served; I had no choice but to wipe it off with my napkin using my water from the glass. My wife’s steak (medium) Was so incredible rare that it bled across her plate. Again… no waitress. Her not being a complainer chose to try and eat around the cold bleeding meat. She finally gave up and just stopped eating. When our waitress finally returned and heard our disappointment with the food she went and summoned the manager. A complete lack of customer care from the manager. Basically told us about the “fine print” on the menu about how the establishment won’t be held responsible for poorly cooked meat. Wow! She then simply walked away! But of course we won’t be back… we’re on holidays and live 2000 miles away. They don’t care. So take warning! Find a different restaurant in Natchez. Anything is better than this garbage.

The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they charged $5 to swap coleslaw for a salad. I think that is ridiculous.

Great food, good service, nice atmosphere. I would certainly eat here again. Plenty to eat. The hush puppies were excellent and popcorn shrimp were great.

We had a Ladies Luncheon at this restaurant during a motorhome rally nearby. There were 12 ladies and everyone loved the food,service and atmosphere. Several went back with their spouses. Great big menu of choices. Clean and well staffed. The cream brûlée was delicious.

Great food and a lot of it!!! The po boys are AMAZING!!! The bread is toasted perfectly and it just melts in your mouth!!! When you eat here you will have enough left over for lunch and maybe even supper!!!

That was my first time going there! I went to the one in Natchez Mississippi! The service was great and the food was good and great portions! My waiters was very good and made my visit a great success!

Took my mom to eat lunch. place is usually packed and can't get in at night long waits. Worth the wait. Good job on the food and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Roux 61 is a excellent restaurant if your traveling through Natchez. The food was really delicious. The size of the portions are pretty big. Plus the price is very reasonable. The restaurant is pretty spacious and looked very clean. The staff at Roux 61 was very friendly. Our waitress Jaelin was awesome and was very attentive. Can't recommend coming here enough.

First time here and I will definitely return for the food next time I am in town. Service was a little slow but overall the atmosphere and food were delicious!

Fantastic menu, wife had portobello stuff mushroom, I had the sirlon perfection cooked. Wedge salad was nearly half a head. Fried green tomatoes were outstanding. Our server, John was excellant.

The oysters, both chargrilled and raw were excellent. So were the 2 entrees, shrimp pasta and blackened fish. Excellent!!!!!

Excellent food. Only place in town where you can have a Hamburger done as you like it and consistently. Service is outstanding. For an excellent, knowledgeable and personable server ask for " Jeremiah".

Dropped in here as it was our second choice because Mamma’s was closed due to a death in the family. Really wanted their pie! lol. Shrimp dishes were popcorn and grilled. Both were good. Service was great.

Burnt "seafood" gumbo. I guess my mistake was getting gumbo in Mississippi. And it was shrimp with black burnt sausage. Not seafood.

Server, Crystal H was not welcoming and she was very rude. My family of 6 visited after driving an hour and after having a long enjoyable day, we just wanted to end the evening with a full satisfied belly. They already knew what they wanted but I requested a little extra time. Once the server returned and asked if I was ready, I wanted to make simple substitutions. However the order came slightly incorrect but I managed to take off the tomatoes which I requested not to be added. When we were done and upon receiving our separate tickets, mine was incorrect. I didn’t make a fuss, I kindly explained the issue and her response was, “I sat there and told you…” (twice) as if I’m a child or her child. The manager also witnessed this and told her to come to the back. The manager concluded our orders and payments and apologized for the server’s unprofessionalism and poor customer service.

Don't hesitate to eat here. Great quality and wonderful cocktails. Fairly priced.

We are very impressed with the food, portions, and variety of food selections available. It's a sports bar, seafood and steak restaurant as well. It's impressive the restaurant caters to families easily and the sports crowd as well. The food was excellent, and the portions were generous. We highly recommend this restaurant for fast service, great atmosphere, superior food and huge portions for families and adult patrons. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just sat down got good service at the start then she messed up on what I said for my order brought the wrong salad came back with the right one 3× she had to remind us that she has to pay for any orders brought out that are wrongfully ordered. We were visiting from Texas and people said I would love this place food seems good I just can stay here and eat.

We would NEVER, in a million years, have gotten the shrimp and alligator sausage cheesecake if we hadn't seen a bunch of good reviews on it. Yes, it really is that good. The crayfish pasta was spectacular also, and omg, the best creme brulee I've had in years!

This was my husband and I first time dining here with family, and the service and food wasn’t all of that. Our server did not make sure our table was good, she kept cutting me off when I tried telling her my husbands order, she barley checked on us. The tip was already in the receipt and if you didn’t double check your receipt, you would have over tipped, they don’t let you know about that. Also, we waited for some time before she came back to take our appetizer order and for our relative to order her drink, the food was honestly overpriced for the portions you received. The catfish platter for over $20? And could not substitute sides for anything else because my husband doesn’t like hush puppies or coleslaw. The catfish pieces were small compared to other places we have been to and the portions were big. Small portions of the gator bites, that was pricey as well. If you wanted to even add or substitute things, it would cost over $4 to even do it! I tried to add crab, it cost $7 to add to my pasta. It was already over $24. Our family made the atmosphere great tbh, because we were enjoying each others presence. Other than that, the atmosphere without our family is plain. Overall, I don’t think we would choose this place to come back to and eat at as a family.

The food was pretty good, if you are first time comer to Natchez, Mississippi or passing through come to this place.

We were traveling and I thought about their seafood nachos. I've had them before but this time they were not good. Little seafood. Cheese sauce was not flavorful. It was a real disappointment for this trip.

Must've had a new waitress. She messed up my order. But overall I enjoyed my dinner as usual. My favorite place to eat here at home.

The additional charge for oysters on the Combo platter is not worth the money - only 3 oysters! Also, don’t dust the hanging shark or the light fixtures when customers are eating nearby 🤮

Truly loved it there. ❤️ Plenty food for the money. I just pass by alot n desided 2 stop 4 lunch. But $25 for lunch alone plus tip. Going to make it hard to stop more often. Love to return for dinner. 😊 Thanks

Service was great. Food was good but salty. He had the Oyster Po-boy and I had the Oyster Platter. But the coleslaw was the best thing I have ever eaten here. We always sit in the same booth. It was kinda busy for it being a Saturday evening. We will be back to try other menu items. Our waiter was very nice and attentive but I forgot his name.

We stopped when we made it into Natchez, but there were so many people waiting outside that we decided to stop back on our way home. Every time we pass this restaurant there are people waiting outside, so that was a good sign to me. Natchez is the first Roux 61 location, and they are still providing awesome service. Our visit was such a pleasure. From the atmosphere, customer service, to the food and drinks, we have absolutely NO complaints, and we will visit again.

Sometimes you give restaurants the benefit of the doubt, but bad service is bad service. Let's start with the long wait after i was told that it would be 20 to 25 min to be seated in which turned into an hour. Party of 7 and a toddler. Because it was taking so long I walked in to see what the issue was. I spoke with a manager and was met with the servers were on break. Yes on break when u have empty rooms with tables and no one in there working. Empty table all around. Management needs to do better with arranging the seating and assigning servers. I saw them seat parties of 4 and 5 with ease which puzzled me. This experience was unacceptable. Never did the manager come around to check to see if everything was ok. The server was not the best, she took long periods to come back to Check on everyone and bring items or refill drinks. Con: no substitutions on the menu options but charge an up charge for everything. Con: portions for the seafood platter it was more of a seafood plate. 2 boiled shrimp, strips of Catfish(filets cut in strips) 3 to 4 fried shrimp and 3 fried oysters and some fries and a cup of seafood gumbo that had a burnt horrible taste and black roux. All for 32 dollars a rip off. Con: wait time They need to reevaluate how the run business, not worth the price in which you pay. Con: the cole slaw was disgusting. This place does not have the quality to charge what they charge. The picture makes it look like a lot but you can count the seafood easily.

We asked for a booth but was told they were closing down sections by the hostess. But right after us 2 parties were seared at booths. Food was basic. Steak bites and alligator bites to salty, bread pudding was DRY even though it had a rum sauce. But both waitresses were great.

We were a party of 11. We had excellent service. The food was underwhelming. I ordered a medium rare filet that was fully cooked on the outside with only the middle pink. The grilled shrimp were fantastic. Ordered fried dill pickles as appetizer. Huge portion. Share with 4-6 people. You won't leave hungry. Prices are inflated IMHO. It's a great family friendly restaurant. Lots of seating. Live music on Friday evening. Singers were good the night we visited. 👍

We are from Texas and know what good seafood is! Roux 61 is amazing!!! We had coconut shrimp and fried catfish- both were delicious! Their hush puppies are to die for as well! The cheesecake is out of this world! Clean restaurant and great service by Vicky! Highly recommended!

If you are in Natchez Mississippi you must stop at this restaurant and try the food. The fried green tomatoes 🍏 are so delicious. The roux sauce goes with everything they serve.

Food is wonderful, but isn’t always fixed the same way. I guess it depends on the cook in the kitchen. As always, this is the best place to eat in Natchez.

Service and atmosphere was great, but when my ribeye steak came out all the edges/tips were charcoal black and it was way oversalted and I like salt. Here is where it gets weird. The manager was super nice and she asked if she could fix it and I said sure, have them do another one for me, but as she picked up the plate she said "no sir, we'll just get the seasoning off of this one and bring it back". I just said no thanks, I'll just make this work. I ate about half the steak. The problem for me is that the steak was $42 which means it better be first class but it wasn't. She did discount the steak to $30. Wife enjoyed her steak and meal. Don't want to ding Roux too hard but for a $110 meal I could have done way better at home.

Stopped there for lunch. The place was clean, bathrooms were clean, soap and paper towels dispensers in the bathroom worked. I had a roux burger. It came out done right. Food was brought out fairly quickly despite it being lunch time. Fries were done right, not too salty and not too bland. The burger was big and every bit as promised. I was very happy with the food and the place and it was definitely heading for a solid 5 star until I got my bill where I noticed they charged me extra 3% for paying with the credit card. That left a bitter aftertaste because I spent $34 on a lunch l, left a $5 tip and they felt they needed to stuff me for an extra $.93 on the way out. The parking situation is not very good. I parked in the slot in front of the restaurant and somebody else parked behind me near the curb leaving the absolutely minimal room for getting out.

A real nice place to eat. My wife got a shrimp pasta and I got a steak. Prices were reasonable and the staff was great. Caroline B assisted us with our order. She was very friendly and made sure that our drinks were always full. She even made sure my steak was prepared to my liking. The shrimp pasta has a really nice sauce for an amazing taste. Steak was tender and prepared just right. Portions were nice. I plan on visiting Natchez next year and would eat here again.

This one is along the way coming out of Little Rock Arkansas down toward the Mississippi Louisiana border on Route 61. I found this institution years ago before they built the one in Baton Rouge. And both are excellent as you can tell.

I had the crawfish pasta. The portion size was enough for 2 people. I tried the fried steak bites for an appetizer. I recommend this dish. You won't regret it. The service was good but not great on this particular night as our waitress was extremely busy, and things took a bit longer than it should have. I'll still be back, though.

I always love to visit Roux 61 because the food is excellent and so is the atmosphere and the employees.

Based on the recommendation of my concierge on a West Bank hotel. She sent us to this restaurant. Wow! Very impressive. Chris was a great server. We loved our choices. I had had the same food that other places. This was pretty darn good.

This place sucks! I and three of my co-workers had dinner there tonight and I was nowhere near impressed. The steaks are priced as though they are a high end steak restaurant, but they are far from it. I ordered a steak medium and it came out rare. I told the waitress who replied “there’s nothing she could do about it other than have the manager come to the table”. The manager stated “I hear you want your steak cooked a bit more” she had a plate in hand. I placed my steak on the plate and apparently they are okay with placing an already eaten steak on the grill to share germs with other customers ….ewww, how sanitary is that? Typically food is disposed of and a new item is served. The steak came back to the table well done this time, not medium as I ordered. I cut it open, low and behold it was still rare and bleeding. At that point I requested the manager return to the table. I told her I was over it and wanted nothing else done. She offered a credit. Apparently a credit meant $9 off of a $29 steak. So I paid $20 for a steak I didn’t eat because they weren’t able to cook it correctly. I paid for their their mistake, what the hell was I thinking? Stay away!

Our server Jacob was very attentive. Kudos. I had Shrimp and Corn soup and house salad.

Well, we drove over 2 hrs just to Do something different in this heat. Looked up places to eat in Natchez and this popped up so we decided to try it. Got there and it was just the two of us. Had to wait even though we saw empty tables from where we were waiting. No big deal. But the female employee who was taking names and amount of people asked only us who were waiting for our phone numbers? And our response was why do you need that when we’re sitting right here and not leaving? She asked us again and we said the same thing. From then she was rude and ignored us. The food I’d say was average. The fish was over cooked and the fish was cooked out of it. Shrimp was good, chicken strips were ok but batter came off. We wouldn’t go again if in that area. But I would say Our waiter was great!

The food was exceptional! It is a very comfortable, casual atmosphere for dining and socializing. A wonderful selection of mixed drinks and local draft beer alongside steak and oysters. Worth your time!

We tried several local restaurants over our 3 day stay, and this was by far the best in Natchez. The house salad was AMAZING! Wonderful seafood and our server Chris was wonderful. Unique and original flavors...you have to add this to your list of things to do!
