The reviews don't lie; this place is 5 stars across the board. Exceptional food, quality service, and a relaxed environment. We went as a party of six and enjoyed food and drinks well into the place's closing time. The staff were great and super friendly. The bar had great drinks that were delicious and left us wanting more. The food can be classified as Ethiopian fusion with seasoning that maintains authenticity while also not being too spicy. If you're in the area or considering this place, I'd strongly recommend giving it a try; it'll be worth it!

Ali cooks the best food hands down. His cousin makes sure you get the food. Love that he named his business after his mom. Next time I am there I will go to the place off Church in Decatur.

Best food and friendliest staff in the whole market

I told the owner my hometown of Memphis had better Ethiopian restaurants than Atlanta. That is no longer the case. Ruki's Kitchen is now the title holding champion. I barely give 5 stars but this veggie plate is easily 5 star food holding it down for Atlanta...Keith Lee should have tried this and skipped those stuck up places

This chef starts with wonderful basic Ethiopian dishes and turns them into masterful works of art through his spicing and his love. Just wish we lived closer...

I ate here the other night with my best friend and everything was absolutely wonderful. The two young men running the kitchen were so sweet. The ONLY complaint I have is that I wish they were closer to me! But I’ll totally drive the extra mileage to get another meal from Ruki’s Kitchen, because it was worth every cent.

Ali is a beautiful spirit cooking up some equally beautiful food. The salmon and lentils were fire (both metaphorically and literally - it packs some heat) 🔥

Authentic delicious Ethiopian food. Quick and easy but not fast food. Polite, timely, great service. Cozy seating that fits the vibe. What more could I ask for?

If you like Ethiopian, this absolutely hits the spot, and it's well worth the price. Ali is friendly and cool, and obviously cares about what he's doing. The atmosphere is a cramped, independent food hall. It's vibrant and cool, but not fancy.

I have been coming here for a few months and finally had to review. The food is SO GOOD! To the point where I don’t eat Ethiopian food from anywhere else in Atlanta. Make time to try their food asap!

I gave him all fives for a reason. With the exception of the salmon tips being cooked fresh to order the food was damn amazing. I didn’t agree with the portion sizes for the veggie plate for the price paid but for the price of the Salmon tibs I was very pleased. I do plan to order again in person. This environment is one spot with 3different restaurants sharing a space. It’s really a very good experience to enjoy.

This place was authentic and the flavors were on point! We had a great dinner here. Portions were great too. A do not miss when in EAV! I will be back!

Authentic delicious Ethiopian dishes.. it’s like what you would expect from a home cooked meal. We loved the food and awesome vibe the place had. It’s a bit small but perfect. They also have another Asian restaurant just behind it in the same building with delicious soups..

Listen! My sis and I had no intentions of getting any food from here. We had actually ordered from the restaurant a few steps down, but the aroma coming from this place was too hard to resist. We were not disappointed. The food was flavorful, and the portions were nice sized. I had the Sega Tibs w Gomen, and Sis had the Doro Tibs w Timatim Fitfit . I would post a pic, but there was nothing left. Go and go early.

My first time visiting, but definitely not my last. I'm coming back soon. My sister and I had a great experience. The food and the service was amazing.

The owner is so awesome. Family recipes that bring amazing East African cuisine to EAV. This charred spicy salmon and the fitfit were so perfect together damn. Give this man all your money lol

Absolutely loved Ruki's. The food was amazing, Ali was engaging and kind. Located in a space shared with a lot of different food sellers it is the perfect place to go for a group with diverse palettes. Or just go for Ruki for amazing Ethiopian food!

In terms of aesthetic, it is a simple casual eatery within a food hall, an unpretentious setup and a cool concept in that they share a space with other restaurant vendors. Service was excellent and helpful in giving clarification when choosing between items. It was a focused menu and you can tell they put a lot of quality into the dishes they prepare. Food was made to order and very fresh but still came out quickly. I ordered the sega tibs combo with tikel as the side, all of which came with injera. They did not disappoint! The injera was notably delicious. I don’t recall ever noticing injera being so tasty, and it stood out in the best way. It had the perfect amount of sour that complemented the spice and flavors of the other dishes. The steak in the sega combo was tender and seasoned perfectly. I was in a potato mood so the tikel was perfect. All 4 sides were vegan and they have the option for a veg platter so you can eat vegetarian/vegan as well. I am looking forward to trying all the dishes on future visits!

We love Ethiopian cuisine and Ruki is one of the best we've had in Atlanta. We had Chicken Tibs with Gomen (collard greens) and Injera. The chicken was sautéed with sweet onions, peppers and tomatoes with the RIGHT amount of spice. Delicious.

Food here was amazing! Both my boyfriend and I got the doro tibs combo. I got mine with rice and tikel and my bf got his with injera and gomen and we both enjoyed our meals. The owner was friendly and the music was A1. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

SO GOOD!! If you're not familiar with We suki suki, It's a small food hall, with different international food stalls. Probably my favorite food haul in Atlanta now, and the Ethiopian spot is an incredible addition to the varieties of food that's there. I had the veggie platter, so delicious. The collards were slamming! You need to try this spot. Not a lot of Ethiopian places on this side of town, in this area, totally worth it. Will definitely be ordering takeout or stopping in to eat regularly! Service with a smile, was excellent!
