I really want this place to be better. It's close to where my parents live and the food is pretty solid (it's BBQ in MA so you do the math). Go there to dine at the restaurant! Do NOT, however, try to order takeout from here. The owner refuses to get with the times and implement online ordering and they do not answer their telephone. In fact, they pick up the phone and hang up on you. This has happened on 5 separate occasions and I've just had enough at this point. Too many times have I planned dinner with my parents and tried to call this place to place an order. If you don't want my money I'll go elsewhere. It's really really easy to implement online ordering these days, so ultimately it comes down to a lack of effort which results in a poor customer experience that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I might be back, I might not honestly. Edit: I will not be back. The owner's IDGAF attitude just really rubs me the wrong way. Downgraded.

It's the best rib snack I've ever had, but service has never been its strong point, it's the place where you don't have to worry about giving away a box.

Best slow cooked meats around. Suggest the three meat. Ribs are outstanding. Pbrs 3$. Update: got to popular sucks now. Smaller portions always slammed to the gills.

Their policy doesnt allow you to send food back if the meat isnt cooked to your preference despite them not asking before hand. How would I know my food wouldn’t be well done until I bit into it?

This place was surprisingly good! I’ve heard mixed things but I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing each dish was and how large the portions were for the price. I’ve had Texas BBQ and this is just as good.

Service was great, casual atmosphere. Brisket was perfect. Nashville hot chicken was fire.

Pleasant experience. The food was full of flavor. Highly recommend the sweet cornbread. 15 - 20 minute wait time between 4:30 - 6 pm dinnertime. Waitress was kind but she didn't ask us for drink refills until we were almost finished with our meals. Floors and bathroom needed to be swept and the table was sticky.

Nice BBQ option just off I95. I had a brisket sandwich with fries. Tasty although a little pricey at $18. Atmosphere is ok - it's half bar, half tables with an adjacent room w/tables. Definitely worth a stop.

Service was fast, friendly and came by often enough that we never felt ignored. Ribs were tasty but dry. The pulled pork was also dry but the bbq sauce was good and helped it. The burger was drenched in too much sauce couldn’t taste the meat and bun was soggy. The fries taste like mcD’s. The mac n cheese was good. The collard greens had too many stems.

Provided excellent service: refreshing our drinks, following up on apps, and ensuring our order to eat sitting was correct and our takeout as well. —> collared greens were amazing, lotsa flavor. —->Pork belly absolutely delicious! —> Brisket Bomb is beyond amazing. Bbq was ok, so expensive. Nothing special. We arrived at 6pm amd half of the menu was sold out.

On our Travels to the North Shore we stopped in at the Rusty Can for some BBQ. Two good signs were that we could smell Smoke from the BBQ Pit and there was a line before they opened their doors for service. The hostess was friendly and welcoming. We ordered Ice Cold ❄️ Beers 🍻 and Drinks 🥃 with some Appetizers of Hush Puppies😋 and Smoked Wings 😋 . We ordered 2) 3 meat combos Pulled Pork, Brisket and Ribs😋with sides of Collard Greens, BBQ Beans and Mac & Cheese , Sliced Brisket platter 😋with sides of Collard Greens and Coleslaw and a Smoked Super Beef😋 served three way with a side of French fries. Everything was Delicious 😋. Great BBQ! 😋 Our Waitress was Awesome 👍 as was the rest of the Staff and Culinary Team working.👍 Great Job 👍 Highly Recommend Rusty Can BBQ! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The building and interior made the stop a little questionable, but don't let it fool you the staff and the food was absolutely great. Your not going to be hungry when you leave as it was good hearty portions.

A long time ago I went to phantom gourmets BBQ beach party and ate competition BBQ. After that I was ruined nothing ever compared. That was until I found this place! Best BBQ in NE and I drive 45 minutes gladly to get some of their beef brisket and pork. Of course theirs plenty of other amazing stuff they offer. It's a must to check out.

We found this place by accident driving from the airport heading to our yearly family vacation in NH. Best brisket we have ever had! Actually everything was delicious...the ribs....so good! Now we have to go every time we are here. YUMMY!!

My husband and I both got a 2 meat meal that comes with 2 sides . Personally for me it was not WOW . The Mac n cheese was good but if you don’t like more of a garlic type of Mac and cheese it may not be for you . My collard greens were inedible due to how much vinegar was in it . My husband liked his baked beans but I felt ill was bitter and lacking salt . The corn bread and honey butter was very good . The brisket was very good . The ribs were ok and well as pulled pork . My husband felt the ribs and pulled pork was good . I saw a chopped salad being served at the table next to us and it looked huge . Portions are great . Wish music was playing.

The best BBQ in the area! Our go to is the beef brisket, but we have also had some delicious specials like smoked roast beef sandwiches and smoked lamb gyro. They post daily specials on their FB page. You will not be disappointed!

My wife and I had a fantastic experience here! The ribs and brisket were great, and while they were delicious, they weren't overly smoky. Wonder why that is? Seems that they don't fully smoke them, maybe bake them? IDK. We usually opt to dine in our truck, taking in the scenic view while savoring our meal. It's become a lovely ritual for us!

Been to good Texas BBQ places. The food here is better than all of them, no joke! Best bisket I've ever had. Cheap PBR draft too. Do yourself a favor and order the brisket 3 way and the corn tartar sauce to dip your fries in. You can thank me later.

I have never in my life given a bad review. Service was absolutely terrible. I went after work with my husband and elderly mother. Hostess at the front was incredibly unpleasant. Everyone around us got seated before us and someone who was seated 45 minutes after us and ordered the same exact menu item got his food WELL before we did. We were there 2 hours and 15 minutes and were not served so we asked for our meals to go. My mother is diabetic and needed food but we were treated with such hostility we were frightened to ask the waitress about why everyone around us got their food and we didn’t. Awful awful environment

Cajun wings, ribs, and brisket are some of the best around.

Get some air conditioning. Even your employees hate it.

Great food and great service. The brisket is bomb. Its jucies and melts in your mouth. The Mac and cheese is creamy and cheesy. Definitely recommend.

We hired The Rusty Can food truck for a graduation party. From the start, Mike was responsive, kind and so helpful in booking and planning. On the day of the party, the staff arrived and were professional, efficient, and so personable with our guests. Everyone RAVED about the food and service. Great job & thank you!

Unfortunately I have to give the Rusty Can one Star. Nothing to do with the food, service or atmosphere. It’s the bathrooms, they are gross and unclean. I love their food but am now repulsed at the thought of cooks and servers using their restrooms and then handing food no matter how much they wash their hands. Management should be ashamed. Clean your bathrooms!

Fantastic BBQ restaurant! The food was fantastic and the servers were very nice. The servers were knowledgeable about menu options and allergies. All of the meat options are gluten free and a few of the sides are too. Expect a long wait for food because this place is very popular!

Absolute must try! The brisket is to die for! Onion dip, hush puppies, corn bread, Thursday brisket nachos….eat it all! The staff are always friendly and the no fuss atmosphere goes well with the name. There can be a wait, especially on the weekends, but it’s worth it. Run, don’t walk and definitely get the brisket!

If you're looking for a fancy pants atmosphere don't bother. This is a roll up your sleeves and dig in to some good old fashioned, home cooked BBQ. They give you so much food! Our doggy bags were enough for 2 more meals! If you get there and have to wait in line, do it. It's worth it.

Juicy brisket and a great selection of specials. Always judge a BBQ joint by their brisket and the Rusty Can does Brisket right! Don't overlook their tacos or sandwich specials like the fried pork chop sandwich. Great spot but let's keep it local and the crowds away 😉

Best BBQ in MA! Wife keep saying how it reminded her about Terry’s bbq in Texas and I must agree! The brisket, the pork ribs, and the chili tots were my favorite! We will definitely come back.

Excellent food and service. I would go again because the food was 100/100. The place was full but there was a table for me, luckily I didn't have to wait, The lady who served us was very friendly and smiling, which I love about places where they are always with a smile. The pulled pork sandwich was nothing but a similar raw roast beef sandwich from any roast beef place ... Absolutely disgusting 🤢 Sliced raw pig 🐖 made me sick eating it Even the texture was gross 🤢

I was excited to finally try this spot. I was also disappointed. We came on a Monday afternoon at like 345pm. Somewhat busy but more people left during my time there, a little over an hour. Here's why i was disappointed... the place was not very clean (including restrooms). Inside was not what I expected, almost like an old function hall (take out side where I dined) that was very out of date from shabby ceiling tiles to old banquet style chairs. Not a good ambiance overall. Service was ok. I say this because it runs into the food issues. Kind but not attentive waitress. The food was either really good or really bad. Wings came out first with the fire. Fries were fine. Wings disgusting. They were pinkish & tasted underdone. Very very soggy and rubbery. I was told they were cooked, first smoked, then deep fried.... but if they were fried, why were they rubbery and soft? Waitress made no offer to give a new order - just told me that's how they came. I didn't touch them, and they were wasted. As well as money wasted. The ranch smelled and tasted foul too. Cheeseburger seemed fine, I didn't try it though. 2 meat combo plate had amazing ribs. Brisket was good. Mac and cheese were ok. Overathe meats had less flavor than expected. The pulled pork taco was amazing. I did not eat the tortilla. I had to ask for cilantro. But this was the best thing ordered. I asked about the banana pudding dessert. Was told there were Nilla wafers inside and it was made in house. I took a chance and it was the wrong decision. The bananas were inedible. Not ripe, hard and old tasting. I took them out, after spitting them out. Not sure if I ate actually homemade pudding or if it was boxed. Not sure if made in house meant boxed and put together in the container in the kitchen but it was terrible. I mentioned it as well, but again no remedy for it. Lastly I noticed people sneezing at their table. I seen there were open containers of BBQ sauce and random cups of silverware and paper napkins already on the tables. In a world of Covid and viruses going around, not sure how sanitary this is. Not going back here. Big waste of money.

When I pay $38 for a two meat plate I expect to get big meaty ribs and more than two slices of brisket. KC rib shack in Manchester nh for less money gives you big substantial ribs, these ribs seemed to have come from a rack that had been cut in half lengthwise.

Best BBQ place around have been to many times to count and have never had a bad meal! The meat is always consistently great the sides are good and have good portions! Plenty of booze to choose from and lots of mix drinks

It could use an update in and around. Great food if you like it smoked. Great beer and Bourbon selection. Definitely use their sauce served on your table! Get the pork belly side for 5 bucks while you're there.

1st time stopping by the Rusty Can for takeout as many people say its very good. The order took about 15 minutes from time order was placed, which is great. I live about 5 minutes away and the entire order was cold by the time I arrived home and unpacked it. Oredered the two meat combo. The brisket was at least 90 percent fat and not very tasty. The pulled pork was good after reheating. The fries were soggy (would prefer them in a paper bag instead of a styrofoam conatiner}. Mac and cheese and coleslaw are both fine. I was happy to try the Rusty Can, but the food quality could improve to match the high price charged.

Best BBQ I have had in New England.

I’ve eaten at hundreds of spots in the area this place is the rudest. The women doing take out was just talking non stop to her buddies. As I waited for my food I noticed 3 to go bags sitting on the table I assumed she would tell me when my order was done but 5 minutes go by and she finally told me one of those was mine. I picked it up , told her have a good day and said nothing back . Cocky place, rude attitude and food was 6 out of 10 I will not go back thanks

Two words…BRISKET BOMB!!! The food here was amazing! Chicken Wings, Ribs, Collard Greens, MacNCheese! All amazing! I wish the cornbread was heated up but honestly it didn’t even matter!!! Hands Down Best BBQ I have had and I have eaten from Texas to Missouri to Illinois to Georgia! Also, remember that you are going to a local BBQ joint not a 5 star restaurant so don’t expect any fancy atmosphere or servers, even though the staff was amazing and everyone was very very kind! You will see us there again soon!!! These leftovers will hold me over for now!!! Food was so good we didn’t even think to take photos!!! lol

This place is absolutely disgusting, why they have bbq bottles not covered or cleaned is beyond me. Ruined my appetite to say the least. Bacteria is no joke for an open container to be open alll day long and not cleaned. Never will I come back here hopefully I don’t get food poisoning.

Keep it moving. Rusty in the name tells the story. Visited once and will never forget the bad vibe experience; food was marginal at best. People want to want to believe this gin mill on the map is some official hoedown country western BBQ experience. Its a poor excuse to drink and as an authentic Wisconsin farmer's daughter, I'm suggesting Texas Roadhouse or Cracker Barrel as step-up alternatives and that's being extremely kind. Go or stay away but don't lie to yourself or others and don't drink and drive.

Great for takeout or casual dining. BEST BBQ on this side of the Mason Dixon line! Authentic southern smoked meats. Delicious cornbread and my favorite is the brisket! Can't go wrong dinning here!

I kept hearing about how great this place was once I moved to Seabrook so I had a friend get me a brisket sandwich and I must say they The Rusty Can did not disappoint! The brisket was AMAZING and this is coming from someone who doesn't eat too much meat! I can't wait to try more from the menu!!

Probably the best BBQ I’ve had in New England, and a great value. Had a platter of 5 ribs, 2 huge sides, cornbread, white bread and pickles/onions for $26. Absolutely worth a trip.

I have been to many in Texas, and I'm so happy to have found this place especially close to home I loved everything about it the beer the service our waitress was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious. We went on a weekend, so there was a bit of a wait. we waited about 25 30 min, but right before we were seated, we heard it had gone up to an hour wait. Not one person said no when asked if that's okay? So that automatically meant to me that this will be a good spot if you're willing to wait that long. We'll my thinking was correct I highly recommend it I will be back there for sure !!

We waited for a table because it’s worth waiting 45 minutes. Already knew that! Our waitress Denny was amazing! So patient in the face of a line of people waiting to get in. Treated us like dearly expected guests, no fluster in spite of all the pressure. The food and the SERVICE rates 5 stars! Shame on anyone who comes to a smokehouse and expects it to be like Ruth’s Chris. It was the BEST FOOD and the BEST SERVICE ever! Five stars to everything! And yes we WAITRD for 45 minutes for a seat at the bar for the brisket nachos and Grey Goose martinis! There’s a wait and there’s a reason..,, There is nothing that compares anywhere! Cannot wait to go back!!!

95 NORTH OF BOSTON?!? STOP HERE. 🛑✋ Got the 3 meat sampler because the super helpful woman working the takeout counter said the pork was worth it. It’s not bad, 3/5. However the ribs 5/5 and brisket 5/5 were really exceptional. I added the fatback appetizer last minute - really good 5/5. The sides are great - 5/5 on the collards and 5/5 plus a ⭐️ for uniqueness on the baked black beans. As good or better than anywhere in Boston, or parts further North. Worth the stop, worth a trip to check it out if you’re a bbq barbecue fan. Pickles and onions on the side. All the meats are gluten free gf. They don’t have a gf bun. No corn tortillas for their tacos, only flour 😢. Allergen aware staff. The 3 meat + appetizer was almost $50. It’s enough food for leftover breakfast - still a lot of inflation. Not bad, not great on value for money.

The bartender with the long dark hair is very loud and abrasive. She is not friendly or welcoming at all. She is a turn off. Definitely bad as a representative of the Rusty Can. She be longs at a truck stop. I came in to meet my daughter which was already sitting at the bar and I probably wait an half hour before I could get a beer and they never ask me if I wanted to eat either. Not good at all. Very 👎 bad

If you love BBQ, you have to stop here. Great food, awesome staff. Had the 3 meat meal: pulled pork, brisket, port ribs with corn bread, Mac n cheese and BBQ black beans. So good!

So far, I’ve only had the brisket, but it is really really good. It is tender and moist, The flavors are mouthwatering and it falls apart the way it should. The service for Takeout was perfect. What a great spot. And I’ve heard so many good things about their other selections that I cannot wait to try.. 👍👍🔥

Highly recommend the 3 meat combo so that you get to try the brisket, pulled pork, and ribs. My favorite is the brisket and we asked for the fattier cut. My favorite sides are the mac and cheese, black beans, and corn bread. We even ordered an extra corn bread to go. Brisket bomb was delicious with cubes of brisket, bacon, mushroom, cheese on a sub roll. It was huge! Cajun rubbed chicken wings and hush puppies were good too. We've been here twice and both times there was a wait, so I think that's just the norm. Prepare accordingly.

So disappointed! I’ve been dying to try this place for ages! Dingy atmosphere but willing to forgive that if the food was good. Food was awful. I ordered the lamb gyro - so bad. Dry meat, no flavor, no seasoning, didn’t taste like lamb. The wrap was soggy and tasteless. The tzatziki barely tasted of cucumber and even the onions lacked flavor. There wasn’t even salt and pepper to make it edible. My daughter had the chicken sandwich- it was dry and the coating lacked seasoning and the bun was burned. Neither of us cud actually eat the food. The waitress was attentive but was unable to tell me how spicy the margarita was when I asked and didn’t even notice that we didn’t even eat our food or ask why. So bad. I’ve no idea why people flock here. Will never go back.

I got the Ribs and Brisket combo with fries and beans. I now regret getting the fries, and not because they werent good. But because I can get fries anywhere. The food here is PHENOMENAL. No joke. Barbeque like this in New England is pretty much a myth. Try it, youll love yourself for it.

This is our favorite BBQ place. Just the right smoke, juicy and the sides are also good.
