Never disappoints! Great food and a great staff

Was there with some classmates and some of us got food from the lunch menu and were charged for “dinner” meal. It was during lunch hours. Always order from here but never going back. We were all disappointed. What I got was $10.95 for lunch but was charged $17.

The food is good but I ordered a meal from the lunch menu and was charged for the “dinner” meal. I asked them why and they said I had to specify the menu I was ordering from. It was during LUNCH HOURS, and I wasn’t asked by the server. How was I supposed to know that I had to specify? Primer restaurante que me pasa esto. 🙅‍♀️

The customer service was great we went in just 30 minutes prior to closing and they was polite and ready to serve us they served us with quality a smile. Great place to take your family and friends.

Everything was very good but the food there was very salty, everything was good.

Great food and great service! The salsa you receive with the chips when you sit down is a tad spicy for me but it didn’t stop me from eating it. I had an empanada appetizer and flautas with rice and beans for the main course.

My family and I have been eating here for years and the food is always amazing and the staff and owners are super friendly and make you feel like family!

I always enjoy Sabor Latino. The food is good. I try different dishes when I come in. Our server was kind and recommended different dishes.

I order shrimp soft tacos. Let's just say I won't return. I paid $20 for the picture below. They cut the shrimp up in tiny pieces than proceed to over cook it smh. I should've just went to my regular spot down the street.

I love Peruvian food. It is one of the best in the world. Recommended 100% On this occasion I ordered the combination plate that comes with ceviche, paella and causa, I loved it

The food here has a very good taste and amount of seasoning is just right. I usually get there Mexican side speedy Gonzales , but this is also a Peruvian restaurant and in that that means that they have Pisco, which is a type of liquor that is very good in a margarita or a pisco sour, I always ask for Ishmyel, a very large open space not quite so intimate if you don’t like a lot of noise, but I go there for the food because the price is excellent for what you get you get a very good value for your money on lunch

Everytime we go and they are busy, the service is really slow. We got there at 6.45 and didn't get our order taken for food until 7.30. Don't arrive hungry.

I quite enjoyed this place, but just had one issue. The staff were nice but there was only 2 for the entire restaurant, which was quite empty on a Thursday night. You are served a thing of tortilla chips and a spicy salsa. I had a steak with white rice, over easy egg and guacamole. I loved the guacamole, it was seasoned perfectly and creamy. The over easy egg was done perfectly and the white rice was great! The steak could have been really good but I asked for medium and it was well done, so it was tough, the flavors were good though. The paella valanceaga was pretty good! It's not a typical paella but a rice made and then added in meat like shrimp, squid, octopus, green mussels, and sausage. The rice had some spiciness to it that reminded me of a seafood seasoning, overall it was quite delicious! As for the drinks I had the lime frozen margarita and it was delicous! I definitely recommend trying this place out if you want to try some more of the authentic Latino and Peruvian dishes.

Been a while since I've eaten here, but what a shame that they used to have the most beautiful CHUNKY salsa only to now completely puree it, which makes it a horrible ketchup-like experience. The plates are now smaller with smaller portions. I can no longer consider this a 'must-visit' restaurant due to the noticeable quality difference from past visits.

Used to be my favorite place to eat but last few visits the food wasn’t up to their usual standards. Last visit our food was brought out cold and really lacked flavor. We didn’t enjoy it at all. Staff and atmosphere were nice though, just wish the food had been better.

Sabor Latino is a favorite of mine. They do things right. The food is top notch. Service is excellent. Prices are great. I highly recommend!

I arrived with higher expectations, it was not as good as I wanted, I'm not saying it was ugly, just that my expectation was higher.

We go here for the spicy burrito. It's the best we've found in Birmingham. The chips and salsa are good and plentiful. It's a large, open dining room with TVs showing sports. I have a coworker from Peru who says the food here reminds him more of home than any other place he's been in Birmingham.

Savor Latino is an excellent Peruvian restaurant. I highly recommend the fish ceviche (if you like ceviche), the Lomo Saltado (if you like steak), and a Pisco sour to drink (contains alcohol). I will be going back for more ceviche and Pisco sours!

The fajitas were extremely bland. Got my order incorrect. And the portions are very small compared to the price. This was our 2nd time hwre and will probably be last.

They have two types of food Peruvian and Mexican I think the best Hispanic food in the world,I ordered Lomo Saltado and papa a la huancaina,very good with inka kola Attention 5 starts big restaurant ,parking free and lot of space. I recommend this restaurant for party's, business, family's time,etc Price are ok 👍

Stopped in for lunch and a quick drink. Had a michelada and an empanada. I have been over Mexico and had many empanadas through your the Yucatan. This version is Peruvian style and was a slight different variation from what I was used to. It was fun to try a different cultures food for a different experience. The service was outstanding and made a a great experience.

Nos detuvimos buscando comida latina porque queríamos algo diferente a lo que solo se encuentra por todos lados que es la comida mexicana y para nuestra sorpresa te reciben con chips, salsas y un menú de almuerzos mexicano. Optamos consumir la comida peruana la cual ya habíamos probado en otras ocaciones y es muy diversa y sabrosa. El biftec a lo pobre está sobrevalorado $20 por un plato donde el corte de carne no sabe a nada y es de bajísima calidad un poco de papas fritas, una bolita de arroz blanco y un huevo frito, no vino con los plátanos porque nos informó el mesero que no tenían. El tamal estaba bueno de sabor recomiendo no calentarlo tanto tiempo en el microhondas porque todo el borde adentro estaba tostado y seco. La yuca frita un poco dura y seca deberían ofrecer una salsa o aderezo para mojarla. Los frijoles blancos no tenían nada de sabor saben a agua caliente. El arroz chaufa estaba bueno con su sabor a jengibre y muy bien servido. El servicio de nuestro mesero fue notable que se esmera más con los americanos que con los hispanos por lo mismo su propina fue poca, por el pobre servicio.

Muy mal servicio no traen la comida a tiempo estuvimos más de 45 minutos esperando y no había más clientes, y luego el muchacho que nos atendió con malos gestos y no sirvió la mesa como tiene que ser (sin cubiertos).

Absolutely fantastic. I got to meet the owner as well. She was super sweet and we talked about Birmingham. If you’re looking for Latin food not just Tex-Mex or American Mexican this is the place. They have some dishes for those unfamiliar with Latin cuisine as well. Tasting the Plátanos reminded me of my time in Miami. Very authentic. Very affordable. Very delicious.

It's been over a year since my last visit and they do not disappoint. Always great food, and they have the best salsa in town.

Great food and atmosphere. Server kept the Wednesday night 1.00 special margaritas flowing. Food is good, a lot better than most in the city. I will definitely return. Tvs are large screen to help you watch your next futbol game.

My wife and I were staying in a hotel nearby and decided to try this place for something different. The staff are friendly and be warned, the salsa they serve with chips is very spicy compared to most restaurants, but it's delicious. My wife had a tamale and something like quesadilla triangles. I ordered the fajita steak quesadilla. Both were very good.

Horrible service , the waitress never came back to our table until she brought the check, then I asked for a to go box she had to go hug everyone before she got the box, to the waitress, your tip is based off your service to the customer!

I would recommend this to anyone who loves Mexican or Peruvian food. Amazing!

Peruvian here. I ordered pollo a la brasa with fries, salad, an extra portion of rice and anticuchos. Anticuchos : 8/10 good flavor, really good. Some pieces were though to eat but they where delicious. Rice : 9/10 i love rice, i know about rice and this rice was humble but tasty!! More garlic taste would be good. Fries : 9/10 they just need a little more salt. Pollo a la brasa : it breaks my heart but I feel that someone is sabotaging the pollo a la brasa here. The first time I found this restaurant the chicken was delicious, that was in January. Now the chicken has consistently a rubbery taste and the skin is kinda rubbery too. It’s also has a rubbery strong smell. That’s NOT how Peruvian rotisserie chicken taste. And that’s not because they dont have the Ingredients. It must be some weird tweak in the seasoning, maybe the oven need to have some kind of service (¿?) but that rubbery smell/taste doesn’t come from just thin air. I tried the rest of the plates like the green pasta THEYRE THE BOMB I just have that problem with the chicken. It’s sad that the only option of Peruvian rotisserie chicken in this part of Alabama it’s so bad. C’mon man!

The tostones and ají de gallina are good . Since it’s my first time trying these plates I give it a 7/10 😊

My wife and I love this place. Ms. Linda and her staff treat us like well-loved family. The menu has a wide selection of Peruvian standards along with Mexican. They make an awesome ceviche! And the goldfish bowl sized frozen margarita sends me to another planet.

Peruvian food is not really what I expected.

We order pollo a la brasa and the chicken wasn't cook they said is like that because is cooking slowly...but the meat close to the bone was red inside...the papa rellena too dry this is not a Peruvian restaurant in Peru the food is better I am very disappointed...never going to come back here.

The fish on the ceviche did not taste fresh. The flan dessert tasted horrible. Also, make sure to check your bill because they tend to add stuff that you did not order. They did this to us twice and some friends also experienced the same thing. Will not be going back again.
