Finally got around to trying this place out because it has a lot of great reviews but honestly the pizza was just ok not great for us. The pizza itself is lacking flavor, the sauce needs something, needs some garlic salt added. The pepperoni is good but you can't just top pizza with pepperoni that has a good taste and expect the pizza to be great so it was definitely lacking for us. The salad was good but they only offered a small size nothing bigger so we had to order 2 salads. The wings had good flavor but they were all very small in size and you only get about 6 or 7 pieces. Another downfall to me is that they only take cash...this is a big inconvenience for many people who don't always have cash on hand. They are a small take-out place so don't expect to eat there. Will we be going again....after spending about $75....unfortunately no. It just didn't make an impression for us and wasn't worth the money in our opinion.

I have lived in the area for a decade and Sal’s is easily my favorite pizza place in the IE. No, it’s not the cheapest. No, they don’t offer points or deals or freebies. They DO offer handmade pizza from fresh ingredients with generous toppings and perfectly cooked crust. Bonus points for not charging extra if you do a pizza half and half.

Sal’s pizza is good old fashion tasting pizza. It is good and tasty! I usually order the Sal’s special and delicious wings. I don’t taste preservatives in their food, which makes it even better for tasting only the ingredients. You can buy cans of soda while you pick up your order. Only cash and check accepted. Pizza is ready within 20 minutes, they move super fast.

New to town & really loved the pizza it’s now going to be my new to go place .

Best pizza joint around if you just want a good pie to go. You can’t eat there, you can’t pay with credit, but you will enjoy the food. Best toppings and a healthy amount too, it’s my go to pizza place.

Staff was extremely friendly and professional. The pizza was a disappointment. I like my pizza gooey, cheesy, and tasty. Unfortunately it was none of the above. Plus, the veggies were undercooked and there was very little sauce which made it dry. What happened to good old fashioned pizza that leaves a mess on your face and your plate?

I'm sad to write this review. My husband and I have been ordering Sal's Pizza for well over 10 years. The food and service have always been great. But, tonight we were met with bad service from someone who sounded new that was a bit of a smart a$$. We were not very hungry tonight and ordered a small pepperoni pizza and two cactus cooler drinks, an order mind you that we made 2 weeks prior. And tonight we were told they would not deliver because there is a $25 minimum purchase now. I asked when did this go into effect? He said earlier this year about 4 months ago, and I explained we had the same order 2 weeks ago and he said I doubt that. A little taken aback, I explained that Sal's raised their prices, charges a delivery fee and I tip the driver every time. This makes no sense, if I don't want as much food. He said, well that's the price of inflation. What a smart a$$, so I explained yes, that's why Sal's raised prices for that reason. So, it makes no sense to be punished for ordering a normal pizza and drinks that you pay a delivery fee and tip! Sal's seems to be heading in a sad direction. The pizza is amazing, but this poor service and minimum purchase requirement is absurd and needs to go away when you are already charging a delivery fee.

This is my favorite pizza place probably ever. Nobody seems to know about it, so it must be highly underrated. The workers are so nice and very friendly. My family loves to go here to get pizza. They always have candy out at the counter and will occasionally give small toys (finger puppets, slinkies, etc.) to the kids that come in. The prices are a bit higher than normal but the pizza is most definitely worth it. The salad is amazing as well, with olives, cheese, tomatoes, and much more on top. They also have wings and breadsticks available as sides, and although I have not tried them yet, I am sure they are delicious as well. This place is slightly old-fashioned in their way of doing things, though. If you come, make sure you have some cash or your checkbook with you because the last time I was there, they didn’t accept credit/debit cards. If you’re looking to pick up pizza, head home, and watch a movie with your family, I would totally recommend this place. Although if you bring your kids with you to pick the pizza up, they might eat it before you even get home!

First time I have tried this place. It was highly recommended to me . I called to place my order and was given the wrong price, and when I got there, I was told they messed up .but would honor the price given over the phone. But I told told them it was ok .by doing this, I know that I they have my business, and the pizza was great, unbelievably great . Thank you. See you soon, Sal's pizza 🍕

Sal's crew make the most delicious pizzas and are so nice. They even have discount coupons to use on weekdays. Their pizza sizes run bigger than most and are covered with a generous amount toppings.

I have been enjoying Sal’s pizza for approximately 20 years. I order the medium pizza with one half double pepperoni and the other half sausage and bell pepper. I always ask for extra cheese. I have never been disappointed with Sal’s pizza, having had it at least 100 times. It is the best pizza I have ever tasted. I have never dined in the restaurant; my food has always been via takeout. And I have never had any issues with Delivery.

This is the best pizza in Rancho. They love our community and are consistent with their quality. Everything they serve is so good and the prices are great.

Not an eat in but the pick up or delivery choice in the sparkling clean and cheerful place and crew works fine, and it's still the best Pizza between Upland, Ontario and Fontana/Rialto.

Many people, myself included , consider Sal’s pizza to be the best pizza in Rancho Cucamonga. The service is excellent. It’s a carry out or they deliver. Many of the employees have close to if not more than 30 years working at Sal’s. I know because I have been going to Sal’s as many years as they have been working there. That in itself tells you something about Sal’s.

We have Sal's Special pizza everytime. We love everything about the pizza. The sauce is the right amount & the quality of all ingredients is very good. Coupons for Tuesday & Wednesday are a bonus.

Ordered from Sal's Pizza to support my daughters school fundraiser. They graciously contributed 20% of all orders to the school for this particular night. First time trying their pizza and we were impressed! The cheese pizza and the Sal's Special were flavorful and packed with quality tasting cheese and toppings. The staff was super friendly and greeted me with a welcoming smile upon entering and an equally friendly farewell as I left. This is our new favorite pizza spot! Cash or check only.

After 14 years of living close to Sal's Pizza I finally gave it a try. I was disappointed in the quality of the cheese. The pizza was extremely hot when picked up, but the cheese had no ooey gooey meltingness to it. It was tough and rubbery which to me indicated poor quality. The overall flavor and taste of the pizza was okay but probably won't go there again.

We have been going to sals pizza for the last 2 years and I can gladly say they don’t disappoint. They do delivery and they don’t gouge you with their prices

This pizza place has been a family favorite for many a year for my entire extended family and most of my friends, the crust is somewhat thick, nice and chewy, sauce is delicious and the toppings are usually generous. Prices are reasonable and the pizza is usually ready fairly quickly.

Great tasting pizza for a reasonable price. Simple interior and service counter, which I prefer so they can focus on making good pizza! Sauce has a good flavor, good sausage, fresh veggies, etc. Their pasta dishes are stand up too if you ain't hankering for a pie. Staff has always been super friendly and they are fairly quick too. Just an FYI they don't take credit. Bring cash!

I only ever order carry out/ take out from this place. I put cost per person @ $1-$10 because total cost was $23.50 & the pizza fed 4 people. I love Sal's Pizza. It's my favorite pizza thus far.They put plenty of toppings, the sauce is good & the crust has a nice chew to it & good flavor.

The "Sal's special" is tasty! It would taste much better if the toppings/veggies were chopped uniform and finely (smaller/thinner). Decent prices. My husband is a fan of the wings; me, not at all! The sizes of the pizzas are definitely worth the price. We get a medium and it's always the perfect amount if food for 2.

Maybe a little more pricey than some places in the area, but you get what you pay for. Sals is delicious and never a disappointment all other pizzas wish they could be this good. I always order the Sals special which has a large variety of vegetables and meats and is just delicious. They also have cheese ravioli which are large and cooked perfectly with a rich tasty meat sauce served with garlic bread all for a good price. If you want good pizza come here I've never been disappointed or let down you get what you expect extremely well made food definitely worth a try.

Best pizza I've had in a long time

Pizza tastes great, no olives but good bacon toppings, friendly folks, family owned(?), cash only and each order comes with a $2/3 pizza coupon good on Mon, Tues, Thurs/Wed. Haven't tried their other menu items but I'd like to.

Food was ready at the time we were told to pick up. Husband can't have cheese, so they make our pizzas with half no cheese, no problem. Food is always delicious! Plenty of toppings! Friendly service. *Please note, they do not accept credit/debit cards.

Best pizza in the area. This place is to far to deliver in my area and its about a 30 minute round trip but its completely worth it. We go here a couple times a month to pickup their delicious pizza. We've introduced some friends to this place and it has become their usual spot as well.

Sal's special is delicious! Moved away and have been craving it for so long. Had the opportunity to stop and get a Special. The pizza survived the 400 mile drive to share it with my family, and warmed up nicely. The toppings were just as good as ever and the cheese reheated well. Would definitely bring another Sal's Special home again! Call ahead if you can. Coupons given when you pick up your order.

The pizza is literally life changing, locally I've tried many places and none come close to Sal's. A buddy of mine who grew up in Rancho told me about them and said to specifically get the double pepperoni pizza and let me tell you it has changed the game too dang good.

I've been ordering Sal's pizza for a while now, but this last delivery order did not taste the same. The crust was a little thicker than ususal and the sauce did not taste as good as before. Very noticeable to me. Was the recipe changed?

Pizza here is delicious. Different crust very light and crispy. Place only takes cash and dosen't open till 4pm. But differently worth it.

Best pizza I’ve ever put in my mouth. The delivery boy was tasty too. Idk which I liked better... probably the pizza. But the free dessert was a close second ;) never ordering from anywhere else again, as long as it’s the same delivery boy MMMM YUMMM.

A lot of people love Sal's so finally tried it. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza. We all felt the crust was flavorless and unenjoyable. There was a lot of pepperoni, but not enough spice/flavor. Fortunately I had cash as we didn't know it was cash only. They don't deliver to our area, and because they are cash only, no delivery service was able to deliver for us.

Our favorite pizza in the area now. Kind of dangerous with them being just up the street - you know we get pizza a lot when Sal's sends you a Christmas card. Haha Love their sausage pizza (extra cheese) and their salad and ravioli are also delicious and something we order often. They are very quick with delivery which again may be a perk of living just down the street from them but we definitely appreciate that.

We used to live in La Verne and used to order Pizza from Sal's. I don't know if they are the same owners. Ordered one time a long time ago when we moved to Alta Loma. I ordered it tonight and they said they delivered which I had thought they did not deliver, so I was happy. The pizza was hot, delicious and reasonably priced. Will definitely order from Sal's from now on.

Opens at 4pm so no lunch and it is take out only because there isnt a chair or table in sight. Pizza is alright, slightly expensive for what it is. There is a better pizza place literally across the street.

I was excited to try Sal's pizza the other day.. Heard great things, dough was great and crispy, pizza looked great but the pizza tasted bland to me. Also very little sauce and that was very plain also..

Its our favorite pizza that being said, my son wanted something vegan and they made up a spaghetti with pizza sauce on it and he was happy!
