Dining at Sanaa in Animal Kingdom was a standout experience! The restaurant offers a unique cultural journey, blending African and Indian flavors in a setting that truly feels like a safari. I particularly enjoyed the lamb dish, which was perfectly seasoned and tender. The banana dessert was a delightful finish to the meal, with its flavors beautifully balanced. My friend had the curry and was equally impressed, finding it flavorful and satisfying. The service was exceptional—friendly and attentive, making our visit even more enjoyable. Sanaa delivers a memorable dining experience that combines great food, ambiance, and top-notch service.

Absolutely amazing breakfast! I got the Boere breakfast and the sausage was so uniquely spiced and the African fries were little squares and delicious. Best breakfast in disney by far. Breakfast for two in gorgeous restaurant with caffe latte only $33. Awesome!

I found Sanaa on one of the travel blogs while planning our most recent Disney trip and thought my kids would love it. Everything about the experience was so great. We requested a table by the window and were promptly sat right next to a window facing a couple giraffes and a few other animals. I tried the bread service and the butter chicken. The kids meals were fantastic and the Timone grubs were such a fun and yummy way for the kids to end our vacation. I wish I remembered our server’s name but she said she had worked there for 3years and was beyond helpful and knowledgeable. She patiently described some of the bread dips and offered excellent menu options.

I wasn’t expecting the quality of food I received here. I’m always a little skeptical when it comes to trying new and different foods but the food here was amazing. I highly recommend the flat bread with the dipping sauces. It’s absolutely my favorite dish. Each sauce is a different experience and will transport you across the world.

Sanaa a wonderful gem for breakfast at the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge. A host/hostess greets you, gives you a menu and you place your order at the bar and then pick your seat in the restaurant. We sat near the window for the best viewing of the animals. Opens at 7:30 closes at 11 plenty of time to grab a breakfast hash or French toast with bananas brûlée, a latte and free coffee refills at the coffee bar all while you view giraffes and water beasts out the window. The prices are reasonable around $12-$15 per person for breakfast. Instead of characters, you have real animals rather than characters to greet you :) It was so peaceful, one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time at Disney. After breakfast go for a stroll, and view the giraffes and a few other animals much closer for a fun surprise with the kids. Go! Enjoy the peace, food, coffee, Cast Members and animals!

Food service atmosphere just simply Excellent! Started with the bread service delicious. I had the Pork Vindaloo with sukuma wiki, the wife and daughter both also had their own Potjie Inspired, another daughter the Zanzibari vegetable curry with shrimp. Plus a few desserts. The server Don really made the meal extra pleasant, we had never ate at a restaurant like this or these dishes and it was like he was a walking encyclopedia from everything on the bread service to the meals described everything in detail and with enthusiasm.

Had a really amazing dinner. The atmosphere is lovely and the decor really immersive and well done. The food was delicious the bread service is incredible and the butter chicken was to die for would definitely recommend both. We also tried some of the cocktails which were also very good. The service was very good all staff were welcoming and our server was fun and very attentive. We were sat by the window where we enjoyed a savannah view. Watching the zebra and antelope whilst enjoying our food was a unique amazing experience. Will definitely be back again!

From atmosphere to food and drink, this place excels. We enjoyed watching giraffes, zebras, and various birds through the windows, adding a unique touch to our dining experience. We ordered the bread service, which was plentiful and delicious. There were so many sauces that you're bound to find at least one you like, if not multiple. The Naan came in different flavors, making it fun to experiment with which sauce paired best with each type of Naan. Mixing the sauces also made for easy and enjoyable conversation among friends. We took it to go and went upstairs in the library and ate by the fireplace and all 4 of us found it very enjoyable. plus they all have gluten free Naan bread which we was surprised 😯.

The food was awesome and the location was fun. Our waitress Bernadette rushed us while ordering our food and didn’t leave the table until we requested to have more time to order after having told her it was our first time here. We noticed her attitude towards other tables was much kinder which may have been racially biased due to the stark difference in treatment.

We heard great things about this restaurant unfortunately it didn't live up to all the hype on social media. The star of the show is the bread and that's where it ended,we paid over 200 dollars for 3 adults and 1 child We only had 1 starter and the bread to share 3 main meals a kids meal and 1 dessert. The curries lacked flavour like the sauce had been watered down. Definitely not worth the hype or the dollars overpriced ripping people off taking advantage of the location.

Service was excellent, our waiter Don, was very kind going out of their way to make us feel comfortable. As expected from most Disney restaurants, the atmosphere was pleasant and cozy, and you can see different animals like zebras and giraffes (amongst other things) although they are pretty far off in the distance it’s still a very cool experience nonetheless!

Went for lunch, was absolutely amazing. From atmosphere to food and drink. Got to watch giraffes, zebras and some birds through the windows. Ordered the bread service which was plentiful and delcicious. So many sauces your bound to find at least one you like if not multiple. The Naan being diff flavors was fun to and seeing what sauce matched with what Naan and even mixing the sauces made it enjoyable and very easy conversation for friends to talk about. The Braised beef was sooooo tender and juicy. Absolutely my favorite dish from the trip. The butter chicken was good (added on for an extra $6), not my favorite but would eat again. The chickpea wat was ok. Probably wouldn't order it again, mainly cause it wasn't to my taste, but my friend loved it. Also got thr mago smoothie which just set everything together. Was a nice palette cleanser in a way to switch between the dishes and take the heat off a bit of the spicy Naan and spreads. Recommend saving some of the Naan for your entree as dipping into the sauces of beef and chicken was soo good. Anthony was our server and he was great. Knowledge able the menu and recommended a few sauce mixes as well!

Sanaa, located in the heart of Disney's Animal Kingdom Kidani Village villas, is a culinary oasis that will transport your taste buds on a wild adventure. This African-inspired restaurant is a must-visit for any food enthusiast or Disney fan. As we entered the restaurant, we were struck by the vibrant decor and stunning views of the savannah. The warm and inviting atmosphere was enhanced by the friendly staff, who were knowledgeable and attentive throughout our meal. The menu was a masterful blend of African, Indian, and Middle Eastern flavors, with dishes like the: 1. Spice-Crusted Lamb Chops 2. Braised Beef Short Ribs 3. Chana Masala 4. Mushkaki (grilled skewers) Each dish was expertly prepared and presented, with bold flavors that exploded with every bite. The Naan bread and Papadum were also standout favorites. The real pièce de résistance was the stunning view of the animal savannah, where we spotted giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife while enjoying our meal. Sanaa is a true Disney gem, offering an unforgettable dining experience that's both exotic and familiar. Don't miss this culinary safari on your next visit to Animal Kingdom.

We love to try new cuisine when we travel and especially food from the Middle East. This was just the right mix. The bread service is amazing. So many different things to try. Watching the exotic animals while we ate dinner was an incredible experience. I had the butter chicken and my husband had the lamp chops. I gave this a 4 star on the food rating because the lamp chops were almost raw when they came out. They did offer to correct it with no issues.

My family's experience was first class. The restauraunt is well thought out, with views of the animals almost anywhere you sit, and African artwork and other creations scattered all over the dining area, when near the restrooms. But our server, Carson, really upped it a notch. Took care of our 6 yr old and his questions about the menu and was patient while we sorted out our appetites. Even hung out at the end to tell us a little about the decor after we asked, and made sure we were satisfied. Will return because that bread plate was really good. We've never had naan that good. The restaurant scenery was beautiful. All of the staff were lukewarm but friendly enough. It wasn’t full during lunch, & we were able to walk in & get a table. The worst part was that the kids meals’ fruits were spoiled— the melons stinky and the grapes were rotten. After we mentioned it to the waiter, he made an adjustment in price. The kids meal seasonal vegetables were corn & peas (likely frozen & heated up), which was disappointing. The other foods were decent & reasonably priced. Nothing super wow, & nothing bad.

As a person with Celiac disease, Disney is one of the few places in central Florida where I am really comfortable eating. They take great care and caution with food allergies, including gluten, tree nuts, shell fish, soy, milk, etc. The bread service is the best part of the menu and I can’t wait to come again next time. I came to Sanna specifically to enjoy the bread service, which is a platter of naan served with 9 various types of sauces from curries to tzatziki. This is a fun platter to share with friends or family to take turns trying the flavors together and debating your favorites. I liked too that while they close between lunch and dinner, you can still get this dish during their lounge hours. After reading a lot of positive reviews, I wanted to try it out with my family. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. First of all, the service was disappointing. The waitress was not very friendly. We didn't even have time to look at the menu, and the Sanaa bread service was on the table in no time while we were still looking at the menu! The naans were well-baked and flavorful, but the dips tasted like they came from supermarket jars of "Patak's." Similarly, the butter chicken and lentils were not flavorful and tasted like they came from a package. They were way too salty and lacked taste. This is not something a chef would have prepared. The samosas tasted the same as the frozen ones I buy from my Indian supermarket. Nothing special. The dishes were nicely presented, and we had a good spot with a view of the animals. During the main course, the waitress kept asking if we wanted dessert. She was very impatient and wanted to clear the table while we were still eating. The Disney hospitality was not there. We did not have dessert and left. All in all, a very disappointing experience, and the food was not good; it tasted all pre-fab and not freshly cooked, except the naans from the bread service. Probably the other dishes taste better, but I know I will never come here to eat again.

Whoever was working 13th May 2:10pm front staffs, minus 2 star is because of y’all. I would’ve rated 5 star but I was definitely not happy with those front staffs who were supposed to welcome us with a smile which is what Disney staff always does. Two Africans and one Asian all three had very unwelcoming face no smile at all. Fine if you don’t wanna smile DON’T but atleast don’t use rude tone while talking to your customer atleast don’t give that rude stare. Luckily my family members were in waiting area so they didn’t had to see those 3 staffs face but definitely ruined my mood and later they were even more irritated when they saw stroller which means they had to choose different table and since they had to do extra work they got mad. We even offered help by saying we can park stroller outside but she just ignored us. Our server on the other hand was amazing she did good and so was our food it was delicious.

Phenomenal dinner at Sanaa tonight with my family for Mother's Day! We had reservations which are highly recommended and the meal did not disappoint. Our service was excellent even though they were a full house and waited to get our table ready. Do not skip the Indian bread service as recommended by everyone, this is what they are known for. All of the artwork inside the restaurant is beautiful and amazingly decorated, our dishes of entrees were also made with so much deliciousness that I look forward to my leftovers since I filled up on the bread service lol. My picky eater also had the safe option of ordering a cheese pizza just because I knew he had a limited selection so for our family with toddler, this made dinner a breeze for us eccentric and diverse adult diners. It’s aesthetically beautiful. The food is good. The server was good aside from not acknowledging our birthday celebration. We were enjoying everything until about 3/4 way through our dinner when two servers started dragging chairs around on the hard flooring and slamming their brooms to their dustpans in their cleaning efforts. All of their guests were gone from their sections so they didn’t care about the rest of the guests still trying to enjoy their experience outside of their sections. Completely ruined the mood and experience. We rushed through our dessert and couldn’t pay and get out fast enough. You expect that behavior at cheap diners, not higher end restaurants in deluxe resorts, spending $40-50 per person. I felt bad for our server having coworkers with no regard for his guests or tips.

Amazing experience here during a family vacation at Disney World. The themed ambiance is comforting and warm. If you visit in the daytime and have a good view of the windows, you will likely see animals native to Africa grazing and soaking up the sun. If you visit in the evening, you will be pleasantly surprised by the colorful decor and original menu items that blend African and Indian cuisines. They are known for their bread service, Do not NOT get the bread service. We had a group of 6 and got 2 orders which was perfect. The main dishes are diverse and cover a range of dietary needs. However, those with more flexible and adventurous tastes will fare better here. I got the lamb and nearly everyone I was excited to try! Disney rarely disappoints and did not hear either! If you come to Disney a lot, you have to make the occasional trip here, and if you come here rarely or just for a one off trip, then you really have to come here. The most as anyone knows who has been here before, is the bread service. After that you can't really go wrong with anything you order. Any server you get will be great, the drinks are amazing. It's a bit pricey, but that's the Disney norm. Insider tip: ask for the 10th sauce when you get the bread service, but be prepared.. it is very spicy for some..

Good food with stunning views of the Animal Kingdom lodge savannah. We celebrated an anniversary here and the server seemed less-than enthusiastic. We were seated at a nice two -top along the window... But also between two tables with crying toddlers. Not just typical Disney caliber, I'm talking, pulling themselves out of their high chairs and falling to the ground repeatedly. I had high hopes for my new York strip after having a simply fantastic one at Le Cellier earlier in our trip. This one was very grisly, overcooked, and I had to pull out two veins. The restaurant oversees the beautiful safari where you can see the animals while you dine - giraffes, zebra's, and many more! We enjoyed several dishes starting with the Indian-style Bread Service (a must at this restaurant), as well as Pork Vindaloo (top) with Rajma Masala (bottom and Scented Basmati Rice, and Zanzibari Vegetable Curry with Chicken. Service was wonderful, menu is great, and atmosphere is fantastic with plenty of cultural decor! I highly recommend getting a reservation in advance as the restaurant fills up rather quick.

Friends recommend Sanaa so we decided to check it out. They also said we had to get the bread service (5 types if Naan bread and 9 sauces). In addition we ordered the lamb kefta as an appetizer. I had the Grilled NY Strip and my wife ordered The Journey with butter chicken and rajma masala). The bread service and lamb came out quickly. We were sat at a table for 2 and the table got very crowded with all the plates but manageable. We liked all of the breads except the (we think) cheese bread. It tasted fine but was a little soft and we weren't really able to put sauce on it as it was too mushy to hold anything else. We liked all of the sauces but and enjoyed trying to find which ones went better with which breads. The lamb kefta was excellent and incredibly juicy. NY strip was great but the side items were the best part of the dish. My wife liked the butter chicken and rice but the rajma masalla was not our favorite. Sara our server was quick and friendly and tried to answer questions before we asked them (she was a pro). The menu online seemed intimidating but the menu on the restaurant has a key on the side that explains most of the dishes that we weren't familiar with. We really enjoyed our dinner and will return again in the future. Would be great for a group as well.

Sanaa is at the lower level of kidani village in disneys animal kingdom lodge. It is an African inspired upper level dining restaurant that is themed as if it were outside in an African village marketplace. The atmosphere is like none other as there is a window wall that looks out on the Savanah where exotic animals graze and mingle. Giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and many exotic birds can be viewed while enjoying your meal from inside. The service is always as good as it gets at any level. The bread service is something that should just be a standard as it is something no one should miss out on. It is naan cooked in a tandoori oven the authentic way. They serve five different types of naan along with nine different sauces from blazing hot to smooth and cool. That are all delicious! The fish in the picture was served on top of a yucca fried pancake and it was literally the best piece of fish I have ever eaten! The braised beef is perfectly seasoned and is a true reflection of African cuisine. It was so tasty. The butter chicken is a dish that you can never go wrong ordering as well. The New York strip steak is a perfect cut of meat and cooked just as you like it every time. Sanaa goes down on my list as one of my all time favorite places to dine anywhere in the world! Go there! Oh by the way, if you can’t get a reservation, show up just before 5:00 and go to the bar. There are a few tables in there and if you’re early enough, you can get one. They serve the full dinner menu starting at 5:00.

My family ate here our first night staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was highly recommended by our travel agent as well as pretty much every websites I had used for researching Disney prior to coming. I’ve had it happen many times where I was disappointed due to the overhype on a place, however this 100% lived up to the fantastic reviews for us. The bread service was as advertised, the butter chicken was really really good and the side dishes were awesome. The kids pizzas were a bit different than what my kids were used to but they still ate it. That would be my only “negative”. The service was also excellent. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend eating here regardless if you’re staying at AKL or not.

It was just not what we expected. We thought we would be able to view animals as we ate our meal. This is not the case. The staff were good, they even let two friends join our reservation at the last minute. For the price I’m not sure the food is worth it. I was the only one in our party that liked their food. I think if the atmosphere and view would’ve been as expected the food would’ve been sufficient.

Delicious food, wonderful service, and the best atmosphere you can get being a window glass pane away from a zebra and a crane. First, you have to get the bread service. One of the best things on the menu. You get 5 different flavors of naan and then 9 sauces. You can ask for an even spicier sauce to get a 10 one added to the mix. It is really spicy though (you've been warned). I ordered the Potjie Inspired with Butter Chicken, Rajma Masala, and Basmati Rice. Literally the best buttered chicken I have ever tasted. Tender and so flavorful with every bite and when you add the rice and masala, pure perfection. All of the deserts are divine and you can't go wrong with any of them. This place was wild and one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Highly recommend!

We went there to celebrate a bday in our family. Arrived 1.5 hours early based on the instructions provided while doing the reservations. They counted us that we were 4 people plus a baby. Didn’t give any high chair or an extra chair. They showed zero courtesy and said we could move you to another table with 5 people but it will take a long time. We ate while holding the baby all throughout in our hands. Neither did they allow us to take a stroller with us, reason being the “table cannot accommodate the stroller”. But we never were moved to a different table, or given a high chair. I have never seen such a treatment in any restaurant in the United States.

BEWARE - Disney Visa Discount does not apply despite advertisement online. Disney Visa advertises a 10% discount to this location. However, at our most recent visit, we learned that manager discretion can override this, which they did in my case. Very disappointed that this happens after spending thousands of dollars on vacation!

We went here for lunch. The bread app is quite good with 5 different flat breads called Naan and nine different sauces like Indian pickle, cucumber yogurt, etc. This can fill you up fast. All the food was good and portions were nice except for the Tandoori chicken. It seemed to have been boiled with some brush of spices. It may have been put in the Tandoor for a few minutes. Tandoori chicken is supposed to be marinated and it wasn’t. It seemed undercooked. The waiter was attentive and the food was explained to us. Service was excellent and the food came to the table at the right time. It is also quite affordable given the Disney prices. But, please do something about the Tandoori Chicken. It does not need to be spicy but it has to be authentic.

We went to this restaurant 7 years ago and had an exceptional meal but boy has it dropped in quality. Our server was not attentive at all he dissapeared the whole meal and only came back when the bill was due. The meal itself was like warm. My daughter had the curry and all the vegetables were raw. As the meal cost over $100 i would advise book else where.

I came for a birthday dinner and wasn't disappointed. The flight of naan was the perfect way to start our evening and though it costs extra, there's no way you should skip it. 5 different types of naan, 9 or so dipping sauces, all delicious and flavorful. We both got the Potjie inspired entree. I got pork vindaloo with rajma masala (a kidney bean curry), my lady got butter chicken with lentil daal. Both were delicious and served with perfect basmati rice. We got Serradura for dessert, which is butterscotch pudding with diced fruit and a shortbread cookie. It was delicious. Sanaa is one of the finest places to eat on property for those looking for something more interesting than steak or pasta.

Not a bad spot if you're staying on site at the Animal Kingdom resort. The food is decent if you're open to cultural diversity. The key flavors in these African cuisines are curry, sweet, and salty. I would say it's pretty edgy from a culinary perspective and leans more on an Indian cuisine more so than Central African if you were expecting different. Nonetheless, service is excellent in true Disney hospitality and it is full bar. Suggest making reservations as the wait time is ridonkulous even post COVID.
