Great spot for breakfast sandwich or a burger.....it's good.

Foods always been great, been coming since I was a child. But 12$ for a BEC, small hash rounds, and a sweet tea? And buddy at the window had no customer service skills, frankly looked dead in his eyes. I’ll be back, but it’ll be a little while

I’ve gone back and forth between SI and Macs for years. Recently it had been more Macs. Until today! I went with my son and we both had the country fried steak sandwiches. We both enjoyed them very much! So much so I called to tell them, and I’m writing this review. I will go back very soon! The menu had so much to offer! If the rest is as good as the sandwiches we had today I’ll be hard pressed to go anywhere else!

Easily one of the best burgers I’ve had in town. I love burgers!!! Today I added bacon to mine and it was a game changer. They don’t use that cheap thin overly salty bacon like some placed. If you’re super hungry then get the triple triple. It will definitely fill you up.

I can't believe my fiancé & I found a place in Gainesville that we both can eat under $20 and have an amazing meal. Love the nostalgia of Sandwich Inn and can't wait to try something new again real soon. I would highly recommend that it is the best drive-thru food in the area!

After coming to order drive thru today I was reviewing the menu me and my son a guy name geno was rude and disrespectful to me I went to place our order and he snapped back at me going back and forth I said my child is n this car and u going to continue to disrespect me in front of my child I parked walked up to the window and and spoke with a lady whose was no better she said she was the owner which I know for a fact she isn’t I’ve known the owners for years and they are not like this I have ate here for at least 20 plus years and the treatment I received this morning I am done with this place I can’t believe what local business is turning into to hire just anyone to treat customers like this and who talks to customers like that in front of their kids… I decided to take my business elsewhere and I will b letting everyone I come in contact with about this

A cool old drive in. The food is consistent and quick. Tiny little place with two drive-throughs but like from the 50s. Friendly nice people and not a franchise. I love getting a BLT, they don't scrimp on the crispy bacon. And a root beer float is the bomb-diggity!

Fantastic little gem near 16th and main! Service is fast, food is incredible, old fashioned feel. The prices are better than your basic chains too! Definitely hit this place up if you're craving a fresh, made-to-order burger the way it's supposed to be done!

A good friend of mine visited this establishment and forgot to add a drink to his order before he got to the window. When he tried to correct this at the window, the staff needlessly chastised and embarrassed him together. Extremely unfriendly, especially for customers who may suffer from social anxiety. Would not recommend to anyone. Spend your money somewhere else.

I've been in Gainesville for 5yrs and the stars finally aligned today. The Sandwich Inn is from what I have heard a staple in this town. I kept missing the chance to go here but as I said everything finally came together. I will definitely make more of an effort to come back. So let's start out with the menu. Lot's of options and trust me when I say, EXCELLENT prices. So good I thought..if it's no good, I didn't spend too much. I ordered a a double burger, a large onion rings, and a country fried steak egg n cheese sandwich + water 👌 Everything was delicious and I mean it. Lol I'm a huge foodie and I can't say enough about this place. The burger, juicy, warm, a bit crispy around the patty almost smashed style but not. The onion rings lol so good and crispy, not too thick and nice n fresh, not greasy. Now, I bought the Country Fried Steak egg n cheese to eat for breakfast the next day but since everything I had eaten was superb I had to take a bite because it was so hot n fresh. Jeez. This thing was soon good. The country fried steak was juicy and tasty. The egg cooked perfectly and the cheese gooey. I will definitely remember this spot for all the meals of the day. On top of all this, the customer service was friendly and helpful also recommending I try the milkshakes next time. I definitely will. Guys it's not easy finding a place like this these days. If your hungry and want to eat something delicious and not have to take a mortgage out on your house to pay for it, come here. You may see me there as the whole experience keeps playing back in my mind...well mostly the food 😉😆 10/10 Also I always take pics but not this time my friends, I couldn't wait to try it all. All food is cooked to order and with great detail. Staff works really hard to make sure customers needs are being met. Some great items are the DoubleDouble, Chicken Sandwich, CFS and there potato wedges. Also the milkshakes are the best in town. Give Sándwich Inn a try

Totally hit or miss. First time I got amazing food. Since then it’s sometimes excellent and other times you get raw food. My recommendation is that no matter how much you want bacon just don’t order it. It seems that there is a 50% chance that it will be the best bacon ever or so raw that it ruins the food it touches. I don’t know if it’s dependent on who is cooking or how busy they are or what time of day it is but it’s weird that it’s so inconsistent. I even like my bacon on the chewy side, but when you get the bad ones it really looks like it’s straight out of the package. If you are a country fried steak fan that sandwich is the one thing they have never messed up for me. I haven’t experienced the bad attitudes from the employs that others have described. I haven’t ever asked them to fix my food as I usually don’t notice until after I’m gone, but I didn’t get the impression that they would have put up much of a stink if I showed them my raw bacon and asked them to fix it. What’s confusing though is that someone had to have physically put the bacon on the sandwich and thought it was ready. That person must have an iron stomach… as far as atmosphere there isn’t really any. It’s a run down old building with a drive through. I don’t hold that against them though, it’s a drive through. I honestly wish I could give them more stars because when it’s good it is GOOD, but even thinking about the bad experiences is making me feel sick.

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast on Thursday. I had a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich, and my wife had a BLT. My sandwich has zero seasoning and had no taste. Absolutely fantastic fresh burger. This is by far my favorite authentic American food spot in town. This place is my amazing! I never realized it was there and after passing by a few times and noticing the lines and of course the smell I decided to give it a try. I'm not mad I did at all! I eat on the go a lot more than the average person because of work so in a week I stop here maybe 2-3 times...! The country fried steak, egg & cheese is my all time fav! Everything I've tried on the menu so far has not disappointed. My food is always freshly cooked and the staff is always nice. The prices are excellent and they actually accept debit/credit cards which was a major plus for me. They even serve breakfast all day! You HAVE to stop here if you never have. I know Covid has affected a lot of businesses but one employee was absolutely unprofessional and I won't be back until she is gone. I went here a couple of times recently. The first time I got the Double Double cheeseburger with fries and a drink. The fries are always great, the burger was pretty good although seems like it used to be better. The root beer float was just fine. The wait time really sucked. I was the third car in line. Service is always been dreadfully slow at sandwich in, which is why I think a lot of people just don't go there. I also like Mac's drive in but find the lines there really daunting. However, at Mac's the line moves fairly fast, you're not at the window very long. My second trip to sandwich in was a disaster, again I was the third in line and I ordered a root beer float. Took close to 15 minutes to get to the window. When they took my order the lady kept saying fries and I skipped correcting her, no a root beer float that's all. I get to the window and she hands me a bag of fries. I mean this is ridiculous. And this is after I already paid. I just told her keep the money and drove off it's like 1.20. they have those really old fashioned loudspeakers that make it very difficult to hear what anyone is saying and obviously make it difficult for them to hear us. SI is having a really huge problem getting and retaining staff, according to the notice posted at the pay window. I wonder why? Mac's Drive-In doesn't seem to have that problem; it processes people like a Disney ride attraction. OK, bottom line is that the SI food is still pretty good, no complaints there.
