I work remote from Jacksonville but was at the office today. First visit to Sandy’s. Just came for lunch and had one of the specials on the board, the Charleston country fried steak with homemade mashed potatoes and broccoli. Delicious! Great atmosphere. Everyone very welcoming. You can tell this is where the locals eat.

Love to eat at this place. Great food, Great service and very nice people. I've never been disappointed in their food or service. Thank you!! I'll be back soon.

We absolutely love this place! This was our second visit and tonight I had Meatloaf, REAL MASHED POTATOES, broccoli, brown gravy, salad, and garlic toast! I ordered a coffee (made fresh), and a sweet tea(best in town)! My husband had their Meatball Parmesan, with salad and garlic toast! The servings were abundant and I have lunch tomorrow(lol)! Ashley was our server and Felicia actually sat down and spoke with us like family! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT!❤️

Sandy’s is a low key neighborhood Greek restaurant with some of the kindest most attentive staff in Gainesville. Our server told us tales of her time in NYC while continuously checking on us to ensure we were comfortable. It’s a little intimidating to walk in and seat yourself as the place is filled with locals and regulars, but after a few minutes it feels like you fit right in. The buffalo wings and Greek salad are definitely the menu highlights, and Sandy’s is the go-to saucy wings place in North Gainesville if you want to avoid the chains. Our entrees were good but not spectacular, which is why I conferred three stars on food; not bland, but not enough punch to make the dishes memorable. Overall, Sandy’s is a solid non-chain family restaurant on the north side of town with homey atmosphere and kind, attentive staff. For these attributes it’s earned 5 stars from me.

Ate at Sandy’s tonight and it was a breath of fresh air! The food was served fast, piping hot, and had extraordinary quality and flavor. I highly recommend the gyro, cheese curds, and spinach pie! The atmosphere was welcoming like family, the service was impeccable, and the homemade recipes had the freshest and tastiest ingredients. I have lived in Gainesville for over 30 years and my only regret was that I didn’t find them sooner. Coming back for seconds asap Felicia, thanks again for the hospitality!

Just moved back to Gainesville and found this little gem while in the El Indio drive through. Good stuff. Nice staff. fried breaded pork chops and wings,,, Beautiful Greek salad. We will be back.

Sandy’s is struggling because of food prices and other expenses. They are moving to have more opportunities. Parking I will be better there will be a place to dine outside. To keep from having to raise prices anymore they decided to relocate. It will be a great location with the continuing of great food.

I love this place. The atmosphere has become like family. Regulars become regulars quickly. Felicia and the rest of the servers are friendly and usually on top of everything. There are vegan options or you canake it vegan My fave is veggie gyro Usually there for Mon night Burger night with my friends Will go as long as they're standing

I like the food. And the tangy Greek Dressing is my salad favorite.

Dive bar, dirty, old furnishings. Dim lighting. 15.00 for a Greek salad?!? It had 2 stuffed grape leaves, 4 cucumbers chunks , 3 black olives, feta, onions, 1 Greek pepper, a few diced tomato, and a light serving of iceberg lettuce. They make customers pay their credit card fees. This salad didn’t have any meat. 15.00 is crazy.

Great Family Restaurant. They have the best burgers for $7 on Monday nights with fries and the best 76 cent wings on Wed night and other specials daily.

This is my favorite restaurant! It’s such a chill, “cheers vibe” place. I love how the staff knows you by name and has your drinks ready when they come to take your order. The absolute BEST BURGERS and wings I’ve had. You really can’t beat the prices or atmosphere.

This restaurant is cleanest restaurants I have ever experienced. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and it’s such a cozy atmosphere. My husband and I have been frequently coming here for over 10 year.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I called in and placed an order for 10 buffalo wings on my lunch break. When I arrived my wings were naked, HUGE, and did not have any sauce on them as per my request. No big deal, they gave me the sauce on the side plus more. I arrived back to work only to find blood inside of the wings. I called the store manager and I was told to bring the wings back and I will get a refund. At that time I had thrown majority of the wings away and I could not leave work again until my shift was over. I proceeded to ask her if I could have her email just to send her a picture of the wings at the time and she hung the phone up mid conversation. So you mean to tell me you have been in business for 20 years and can’t take feedback Nor did you want to see what your customer was served? I even told her I would not go and leave a review if she would just provide me with her email or something to send the picture of the wings that way she can prevent It from happening to other customers. After calling back multiple times I finally got an answer and told her that I was going to leave a review, and she proceeded to tell me that “the last person that left a Review was cursed out by over 300 people, so be very careful”. My experience was horrible. I am not sure if there is a new cook in the back, but the wings that I am seeing in the reviews are nothing like what I was served. I can admit it was my fault for throwing the wings away so I didn’t expect a refund once I was told that I will need to bring. My whole point was to get her to see what I was served to prevent it from happening to someone else.

I had the greek plate special (basically a gyro deconstructed) and him the gyro and fries. Arrived just as they opened. We have been wanting to stop by for a long while, and finally did. Saw good reviews and can't pass up true Greek food. Wasn't that impressed honestly. Nothing set it apart from any other. Minimal meat served on each plate. Hubby asked for no tomatoes and the gyro came loaded. My plate was filled with iceberg lettuce that was yellow and white ..down to the core of the head on that one. Fries were very good but incredibly oversalted. We were told they have several complaints about the fries being too salty..if true, then do something about it! The tzatziki was good but not wow. Pita bread is very good. Fresh and perfectly chewy. We were told a couple of bucks would be taken off the bill for the fries, but it wasn't. Typical bar type feel, good tunes playing, decently clean restrooms and dining area. Booths and tables for seating. Plenty of parking. Nothing flashy or special...just a spot to eat I guess. Seems friendly enough if they know you. It has a clique type feel to it. No pics. Just our opinions. Would we return? I don't know..not thinking we will.

Some of the best wings in town. Their burgers are great as well as their Greek dishes. The burger was cooked to temp which seems to be a rare event with other restaurants. No pun intended.

They should not list their hours as 9 pm and twice now we have gone at 8: and tonight 8:15 and were told they are closed, but yet staff was cooking their own food. Did not give us the choice to get it to go. Last week I called ahead to place order at 8 pm and was told they were very busy and out of food and needed time to clean up. The food is good, but they have lost our business as well as several friends who live near by. Google has it closing at 9 and when you call the voice message says 9 pm. Very disappointing for a neighborhood place to turn their patrons away. Honestly my boyfriend and I love this place with food but I happened to serve at another restaurant the owner of this place and boy did he make it known. We were running short staff so only had 2 servers on the floor and we ran out of a few things and he got angry and said this would never happen at my place he said very rudely this would never happen at my place you know Sandys yea I own that place. Then he came in another time and made one of the servers cry because of how rude they were and ended up quitting the next because of him. First visit here. My wife was here before. We were introduced by our daughter to this wonderful establishment. We heard that the owner Felicia was originally from North Babylon NY on Long Island. We were practicably neighbors. We went for the St. Patrick’s day special. I have been hankering for good corned beef for a while now. When I tell you it was the best corned beef I’ve ever had I mean it. The food, the service and the atmosphere was awesome. Very busy but we were very happy to wait.
