Not authentic at all everything was bland. Trust me go somewhere else. You will only see white people and not a single brown person.

The chicken Tikki Masala had no flavoring and was dripping like water/soup. This is my second time going for lunch. I will not be going back.

My family took me here for Father's Day. I am a HUGE fan of Indian Cuisine. However, neither of my children nor my wife would ever agree to go with me. But... That was before they "sacrificed" for me on Dad's Day. My son, the pickiest of them all, went back for seconds. My wife agreed to go back and is now the newest member of the Tandoori Chicken Fan Club. And my daughter said she wants to take her friends there. Well, there you have it.... Sangam is so good that they can convert even the biggest disbelievers :)

Great place! Loved the naan! Food was very good as well. I had my lamb biryani at spicy level 4 and it had a nice kick to it. I would try level 5 next time as I like it spicy! 🥵 the samosas were great as well. Perfect for those that do not like the heat. They had an issue with the AC while I was there so it was a bit warmer than usual. I felt like I was in India!

I am very glad I tried this place out! The atmosphere is very nice and provides classy vibes, coupling this with the great service is unforgettable. Ordered the Chicken Biryani and it was great! Filled with flavor, not too spicy, and authentic. I will say the chicken was a little dry, but this is a dry dish. Mango Lassi was great, not sour at all. And their Gulab Jamun was spot on.

The best Indian restaurant we have tried in a long while. The atmosphere and service was beyond excellent. We ordered the Chicken Korma, Lamb Tikka Marsala, Lamb Saag (spelling), and the Assorted Breads. Everything was beyond delicious. The Lamb Saag was recommended to us by our waiter, and it is our new favorite. Our water glasses were never ever not kept full, and everyone was so friendly. We traveled over 40 minutes to try this restaurant, and we will continue to drive in! If you love Indian food, you will enjoy this restaurant!!

This place being rated anything less than a 4.5 is laughable. Very flavorful and ideally cooked Indian food. Extremely consistent execution over the years. A place to take someone who may be new to Indian food because everything is just so well made.

After looking at great reviews, I went there to try their lunch buffet. I was completely shocked to look at the limited options in buffet. For a vegetarian, food is not complete without a Paneer dish, they did not even have paneer. Food was flavorless, not fresh and a bit cold as well. Service and staff was really good but if the food is not good, morning else is worth it.

7 years ago I came as a teen and absolutely fell in love with this food. I am now married and brought my husband for the first time and we are now making this our monthly date night. The staff is so lovely and the food is sooo delicious!!!

My recent experience with this restaurant was disappointing. Despite ordering a veg fried rice and aloo kulcha via GrubHub, what arrived fell far short of expectations. Instead of the expected veg fried rice, I received a strange-tasting pulao that was overly greasy and lacked proper seasoning. The aloo kulcha was undercooked, leaving it unappetizing and far from enjoyable. It's concerning to question the culinary expertise of the kitchen staff based on the quality of the food delivered. It seems there may be issues with the cooking process or the supervision of the kitchen. I hope the restaurant takes steps to address these issues and improve the overall dining experience for its customers.

Had lunch buffet by spending $35 for two people, by far the worst restaurant in charlotte-mooresville area. They just have 4 vegetarian items and calling it as buffet ? Not fresh food, if you want to empty your pocket, this is the best place to go

Their buffet is the bomb. It would be five stars but they've cut the number of days they do the buffet.

Customer service should be improved. Cashier needs to be polite and respectful. I have seen the lady attendant being too rude towards a customer in front of me. They also do not note the order carefully resulting in more inconvenience.

Tried Lamb Biriyani, Sheik Kabab, Tandori, Wheat Roti, Veg Khurma for Dinner. Out of all Lamb Biriyani & Wheat Roti was very good. Sheikh Kabab, Tandori and Veg Khurma was average only. Was overall happy with the food. Will definitely visit again this restaurant.

Nice place to have an Indian buffet

Sangam is one of those special places where service, incredible cuisine, and atmosphere braid themselves together under the guidance of a genuinely humble and warm owner. The buffet is always delicious, and their a la carte menu is also fantastic. I also highly recommend the mango ice cream for dessert!

Yesterday was a very hectic workday for us and we skipped our lunch. We were starving and once my son is back from school, we decided to goto sangam to eat a proper Indian meal. We started with soup and appetizers. We ordered chicken sweet corn soup and spinach chicken soup. Both tasted like curry gravy more than a soup. Now the appetizers we ordered the tandoori chicken, Fish pakora & chicken pakora finally arrived- Tandoori was taste less no salt, no spice and on top of that the chicken tasted really bad.it was redone and served ,definitely not fresh. The fish and chicken also were tasteless. We totally lost our appetite and left the restaurant with out even ordering our main course. We went to a different restaurant to satisfy ourselves.

I love going here but today I came to pick up my order and after waiting for a few minutes while the staff was busy, I walked over to the mobile orders to grab mine I was yelled at by a member of staff. I let him know I was just grabbing my order but he doubled down and now I’m not sure I’ll ever come back even though the food is great. Really disappointing because he was there the while time I was waiting but looked busy and then stopped what he was doing to yell at me once he saw me grab my bag. Yes we had made eye contact before, but I smiled and kept waiting because he looked busy.

My husband and I both got sick eating the food. I assume the hygiene is not good. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Also I got pieces of okra in chicken tikka masala. It seems they use same serving spoon to serve various dishes. I also worry about the actual quality of vegetarian dishes if they cross contaminate utensils.

My friend ordered the lamb and I'm assuming it was old because he had serious stomach issues for the next few days. This was our first time eating here and definitely our last.

Just came here with my lady. Chris took absolutely spectacular care of us during dinner, very professional service. The food was the best Indian cuisine I’ve ever tasted 100%! I had the lamb tikka masala and it was so tender, it melts in your mouth. Also the vegetable pekora and samosas. She had the Aloo Gobi and it was so flavorful. Finished the night off with some mango pudding and home made chai tea. We will definitely be back shortly.

Wonderful food and service. We tried a sampler and loved it. Their kheer is quite delicious. I would suggest a sampler or soups if you want to try something different from chicken tikka masala or tandoori dishes.

Man this place is awesome! If you find it and get a chance to eat here, it's worth it, especially for the lunch deal! The service is wonderful, the employees are kind and attentive, restaurant looks high end inside lol. The owners are super attentive, watching and seeing who needs help. Just wish I could've discovered the place sooner and I think what would really help the restaurant would be to advertise or market it more on the main streets. Went to lunch and enjoyed their buffet very much! Great selection of various curries, dal, samosas, tandoori chicken and my favorite dessert in the whole world, kheer (Indian rice pudding with cardamom). The restaurant was quite pretty inside, soft lighting and cloth tablecloths. The service was excellent and the price reasonable. We'll definitely be back. If you like Indian food, we highly recommend!

Was able to Dine-in for a Reserved Dinner I had with my In-laws. It was my Wife’s Birthday and the waiters were more than friendly. The food was Delicious. Everything was on time and as ordered. They do ask your preferred heat index, incase people have a lower heat tolerance or stomach sensitivity issues. 10/10 I love for North Indian cuisine because of Sangam!!

Food was excellent and upon arriving the service was fairly nice. The only reason I gave this place 3 stars was because of how they handled taking payment. We went there for lunch and had just finished our first round of 2 or 3 trips to the buffet when a waiter started handing everyone around us the check. I have no issue with this especially because he said no rush at all and to "pay whenever you're ready" which is fairly standard, especially during staff shift changes. The issue is, when the lady showed up as soon after we sat down with our second round plates and asked us to pay. I had a mouthful of samosa and I gestured that my mouth was full hoping she would pick up on that and walk away and come back but she didn't. Once I swallowed I said I thought it wasn't a rush and we could pay when we were ready (because I was a bit annoyed at the whole watching me chew and swallow my previous bite) and her response was "you don't want to pay?" To which I immediately responded by saying its okay ill pay now. I paid and she didn't say thank you or anything. When she left, the table next to me commented on how they witnessed the whole thing and that that is how they usually go about collecting payment. The gentleman at the table next to us was born and raised in India and said that its a cultural thing (that I was not aware of). He told me that when it comes to collecting money in india they are very aggressive and that in India people will eat and the try to negotiate the bill after the meal is over so servers / restaurant owners from India are sometimes very defensive when it comes to payment. I totally understand different cultures and the impact they can play on our behavior but unfortunately that particular situation left me feeling almost ashamed to enjoy the rest of my meal which was unfortunate because the food was phenomenal and I had been craving Indian food since I moved here from NY about 2 years ago now. I'd like to come back with my parents but I may ask to pay upfront to avoid the awkward money collection technique. Edit: decided to give this restaurant another chance and I was very disappointed for a couple of reasons. We got there at 1pm on a Saturday (Their lunch goes on until 3pm). There was almost no food left... no samosas, not a single piece of chicken in the Tikka Masala, and every other dish was pretty much the same. I asked the owner if they were gonna be making more and he said yes some of the items are being cooked now and they'll be out soon. 25 minutes later and they started bringing some food out but it was too little too late. Some of the other guests left after seeing the buffet. The owner explained that they had been slow so far in the day so they didn't make much. I understand not wanting to over prepare but if you keep your doors open you should be able to feed people, otherwise just close for the day and cut your losses. Very disappointed. I don't think we will give it another try.

Great food and their weekend buffet is incredible. My only warning to anyone eating here is be careful with the buffet because its very easy to overeat and ruin your day lol.

Each dish we shared was wonderful - from the appetizers to the soups to the main courses. All of us agreed that our favorites was the Chicken Saag Wala (chicken sauteed with spiced spinach and herbs, with long grain basmati rice and mint chutney) and Herali Shorba which is a spiced chicken and spinach soup. Topped it all off with a nice bottle of wine - Angeline Pinot Noir

Seemed very personable owner and employees. Try more popular items. Went for snacks and ordered not so popular items which take some effort to make. We ordered Samosa and Aaloo Ticki, Both looked like frozen ones fried. Tea was not freshly made, looked like reheated with microwave.

Came on a Sunday afternoon, busy and had to wait for seats, but not too long. Buffet was everything I had hoped for--veg karahi was perfect, palak paneer delicious, chicken tikka masala-- very tasty, tandoori chicken good, I didn't care for the meatballs in that style but my partner liked them-- and I was just impressed to SEE meatballs-- but I wish it had been kofta!! Raita very good, did have tamarind chutney but I was missing my mint chutney! Oh, gobi aloo was the big winner taste wise, and almost forgot to mention that pakoras and samosas were on point and crunchy. Service (bringing water, cleared plates) is quick and professional. Cost on Sunday for 3 adults is around 50$, keep in mind this style of food is very labor intensive. Buffet is Fri, Sat, Sun...not sure about Monday. They're closed TUESDAYS (found this out the hard way) and buffet is not every day, also buffet price is more Sat/ Sun. Restaurant is lovely, only complaint--not very cool on a hot day and SUPER HOT IN THE bathroom. Oh almost forgot, shrimp biryani was excellent...never had that before and I don't care for shrimp usually, but that rice was top notch! They also have naan on the buffet. We will come back for sure! One more thing- there was one chicken I never seen before and it tasted kinda like Chinese food- VERY good.

Absolutely delicious. Growing up, I was blessed to be able to travel and live in foreign countries. Our family discovered love of Indian food in Tokyo, and had since spent the last two decades searching for an Indian restaurant to rival that of Motis. 8 different cities in Japan, three in the UK including London, and innumerable places across the USA, some two or three dozen indiant restaurants later and I can honestly say I just had the best curry I've ever had in my life. I'm a sucker for indiant food and have had extremely good luck all over the place finding delicious places, but this was out of this world good. Luckily it's only 45min from where my parents live XD, so when I'm back visiting in a year or two, I'll be able to have some more.

What an awesome, delicious journey I got to go on here. Came for my birthday dinner, got assorted appetizers, all of which were amazing and with a delicious tamarind chutney that I kinda want to slather on chicken now. I could have just munched on those for an entire meal, but there were more delicious things calling my name! We had the mulligatawny soup and the herbali shorba soup. Both were excellent, especially the herbali cuz it was just so fresh tasting. I really liked it. We then got the sangam special that came with tandoori chicken (utterly delicious, 10/10), vegetable korma (i want that sauce for dipping, it's so good and light for a cream based sauce), bohti kebab (lamb. It was good! I think lamb isn't my thing, but for a first time trying lamb ever, it was definitely tasty), and chicken tikka masala (I am seriously sad that there is none left to make my tongue wag with such joy. Next time, tongue. We'll get more then), all served with basmati rice and naan. We also got some garlic naan cuz i can never turn down garlic anything, and it was delightful and helped sop up all the sauce from the food. Finished it out with gulab jamun which is like if red hots and donuts had a french toast donut hole love child. So tasty and a lovely end to great meal. I wanted to try more desserts but we couldn't fit any more in our stomachs if we tried. Next time! The prices are great, the atmosphere very chill, and the staff are super helpful and nice. Will be coming back. I wanna try the lunch buffet. Definitely go here if you want great Indian food. You will leave full and very happy.

For entree we ordered assorted appetizer and dahi papdi chaat which was good in taste. Its tastes freshly made but Cherry on the cake was tamarind chutney served with assorted appetizer. For mains we ordered paneer makhani daal makhni and malai kofta and a tray of assorted breads and paneer kadhai everything was good except paneer kadhai which lacks spices but that can be forgiven. Our server CHRIS was amazing he recommended us what to order. Going again for sure!!!

This restaurant is lovely, and the food is outstanding. I've been with friends and family about 5-10 times now and have not ever had a bad experience. The Atmosphere is peaceful and inviting and the servers are extremely attentive to the guests needs. The food has a wide variety of spice profiles, and it's always fresh and delicious. I absolutely adore the chicken and lamb Tikka masala, along with the garlic naan, and basmati rice. They have been very kind and I think you would be missing out by not giving it a try.

The food is so amazing! This was our first time and we came at the recommendation of someone else. Everything we had was cooked well and was just so yummy. Our particular server seemed very distracted, so he was not very attentive, but everyone else we interacted with was excellent, friendly, and helpful. Our server was knowledgeable about gluten and dairy (I cannot each either) so I was thankful for that. We can’t wait to go back to try the lunch buffet!

Last weekend we ordered a Takeaway for us to pick up in the evening. We were told at 6 o’clock when we ordered to pick up at 6:45. I got there at 6:40. I was told it will be at least another 25 minutes, no apology. I waited another 25 minutes and nothing was happening, I was not kept informed, there were other take away people waiting and waiting and waiting. It doesn’t matter how good the food is, (and I wouldn’t know) they need to sort out the take away situation and their politeness to people (customers) waiting! I will not be going back..

Small and get a bit crowded at times, but great food and good service for a descent price post covid. The buffet could have been more stocked up more often when busy. The line at the buffet could have done with more space, as folks in line were brushing past the waiter going to kitchen and the drink servers at the bar. Bit chaotic at busy times around noon on weekends. Did not get a chance to try the al la cart menu, but will be back to give it a shot. My favorite Indian spot is under new management since about 3 months ago and we've been looking for a new favorite place ever since. This place isn't it. The food was just OK. We ordered everything medium spicy and it had no spice at all. If you like very mild Indian food then this is your spot!

It’s a pretty good Indian restaurant north of Charlotte. Sangam boasts of an extensive menu which comprises of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. We visited on a Thursday evening and it wasn’t too crowded. We got chai, chilly paneer and vegetable spring rolls. The chai had just the right amount of milk and sugar, the chilly paneer was the right mix of dry and gravy, and the vegetable spring rolls were crunchy enough to be thoroughly enjoyable. The service was prompt and they checked in on us a couple of times. They’ve an alcohol selection too. Parking is available outside and there are restrooms inside, which were clean. We will be back here. It’s a nice place for a chill evening with good Indian food.

Not bad lunch buffet and decent prices. Most of the standards are here with some different items for me, meatballs and an noodle dish. Overall worth a stop if your in the mood and in the area.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! We order pick-up from them 1-2 times per month for years and they have never messed up the order. The buffet is delicious with plenty of delicious vegetarian options. Even writing this is making my mouth water.

The best Indian buffet restaurant in all of Charlotte even though it's located in Cornelius...probably the only Indian restaurant offering buffet in the WHOLE Mecklenburg county. The buffet food is amazing and the selection is the same week after week. So don't expect something different. Of course, you don't have to get the buffet but you can order from a menu if you want to. Staff are great and professional and the atmosphere is very welcoming. A must go!

If you want to be judge for getting up more than once for the buffet special on the weekends please don't ever come here. Horrible service I have never felt ashamed to get up one time to get seconds in a buffet setting.

We have been to this restaurant few times and had carry out many times but never felt them rating as sometimes you are not fully satisfied, but our last visit was diffinatley the best experience, food was amazing, server was taking very good care of everyone, and never ever we have experience this kind of customer service at any fine dine indian restaurant.
