This is EXACTLY the kind of pizza spot we needed here! The best pizza I’ve had since I moved to the Katy area in 2009 (East coast Pizza snob right here lol). Sapore has forever customers from us.

The staff were very nice and polite, the food was very delicious, and the style was very comforting, not expensive too. Would definitely recommend.

My dad is from Detroit and as a kid visiting family I remember Detroit-stye pizza. Sapore is great for a trip down memory lane. And the fact that they have Vernor's ginger ale proves they're legit. Re photo, IYKYK

We love Pappa Gyros so we visited Sapore Detroit Pizzeria tonight. Wow the pizza is excellent. This is a deep dish pizza and it’s so good. Lots of cheese crispy edge pepperoni slices and a fantastic pizza sauce. We are definitely coming back. We ordered The Original Detroiter. It’s a pepperoni pizza.

Bad experience,I order online and went ti pick up and asked them they said they were working on it, so after waiting more than 30 minutes they never said anything, i had to ask again and my order has been sitting there the whole time.😡😡😡Im not going back again.

This pizza is next level delicious. The dough is crispy on the edges from the cheese and the most amazing bite! We tried the classic Detroit and the Motown, both seriously good. Can’t wait to go back and trying more! The service was great and the place was pristine. They have some great decor too! Overall, I had a great experience.

Super tasty venue for authentic Detroit style pics. We got The Fist and the Original Detroiter, both absolutely delicious. The crunch in the crust is amazing, something often missed at other places, and service is prompt so you’re not waiting long even for full pizza orders. On the walls they’ve added vinyls and hubcaps for a classic atmosphere. Love the vibes.

Sapore is such a great little hidden gem. I wholeheartedly believe if more people knew about it, they would need a larger establishment. The people are very kind and professional and the food is absolutely great. They don’t cut corners and you can tell they use quality ingredients. They are very clean and you can see through to the kitchen which is always organized and neat. I won’t get pizza anywhere else after discovering this place.

Sapore is one of the best pizza places in the area. The pizza is unique and the crust is so fluffy and tasty. We come here often and recommend any of the pizzas and the wings! The staff are very friendly and there is space available for dine in or just call in for carry out.

This is the second time we’ve had their pizza and I’ve enjoyed it both times. The small is more than enough for two people. I’m not usually a thick crust person, but theirs is pretty light and airy.

A1 customer service. Came by and asked our family how everything went in a very friendly way. Im not particularly a pizza person these days but with that said it's a FANTASTIC 4/5 stars for me (I got a pepperoni which didnt have a ton of flavor... everything ordered with nore toppings looked really good). Worth the try!

I was about to give up hope on finding good pizza in Katy until I found Sapore. Quality ingredients, light airy crust with a crunchy exterior, an excellent red sauce, and baked to perfection. I'll be back soon.

I was born in New Jersey and ate a lot of pizza there. They have very particular notions about what is good. I had only heard about Detroit pizza a few years ago, never tried it. When scrolling around Uber Eats Sapore came up. I am familiar with family owners from their other places, so I gave them a try. That's a great meal, on taste and value. I got the Detroiter and garlic bread. Marinara for dipping the bread. Lots of attention went into both the ingredients and the execution, this was excellent. Great food is great food. I will eat it again. Don't tell my relatives in Essex County.

So being a Detroit native, I was either going to Buddy’s Pizza or Shields and I had very high expectations …. Let me tell you, The first time I came here, I was so disappointed. I decided to give them a second chance, and am I glad I did. They have mastered it. I ordered yesterday, and everything was perfect. By far, the best Pizza in my opinion in the area. If you are a Detroit transplant and love Detroit style pizza, give this place a shot. It is awesome. 👏 A+++++++.

Never had Detroit style pizza till today and let me tell you my mind is changed about the concept of good pizza and ingredients. You can really tell they put top quality ingredients in the food. I got a pizza and my dad got the “8 mile sandwich,” and I can’t stop thinking about coming back. I was surprised the personal size pizza was filling. Great place for those in a group of people all wanting something different things too!

Love this place hands down the best pizza in Katy. You have to get the Motown Pizza!

This is the real deal! Everything is fresh and delicious! The wings are meaty, the pepperoni is crispy, and the sauce and crust are legit!

Most expensive underwhelming pizza in Katy!

This pizza forever changed my life! As a person who likes NY style thin crust, I’m still in love with this pizza. Not sure how they do it but the crust is SO CRISPY!! We’ve done dine in and take outs and it is equally as good. The crust heats up well in the oven. Their meatball and marinara sauce is so fresh and on point that I would never make meatballs again myself. The decor is very interesting, very Detroit themed and the place is spacious. They don’t have a lot of seatings but it is still good enough for a family event, plus the owner/staffs are all super friendly. I’d recommend anyone to give this place a try, you won’t regret!

Party of 2 Time 6:30pm Had the Motown. Food good and everything else was ok. Little brainteaser on tables were nice additions. Parking was good. Restaurant nearly empty. Recommendations on improvement: Menu Specials on certain days.

I love Detroit style pizza. The first time I've ever had Detroit style pizza was at Gold Tooth Tony's in the Houston Heights area. It is hands down THE BEST Detroit style pizza I've ever had. The ingredients are fresh and the dough is absolutely tasty. Not exaggerating her, but they won top 3 best new restaurants in Houston. Any way, I lead with that story to convey that Sapore Detroit Pizzeria DOES NOT compete. The vegetables are not fresh. The vegetables were very, very bland and so is their sauce and their bread. I was disappointed because I was excited to have a pizzeria nearby that served Detroit style pizza, but it was not to my liking. Their pizza is certainly better than Via 313. It wouldnt hurt the owner to visit to Gold Tooth Tony's to learn how to make comparable or competitive Detroit style pizza, please.

First time trying this place. Heard a lot of good things about it on the Katy/Fulshear Facebook food group so we decided to give it a try. For under $100 we got 2 big pizzas, 18 huge wings, panini and a salad. It fed my family of 7 easily. Never had Detroit style pizza till today and it was a hit especially with my kids who are hard to please. The wings were on point perfectly cooked and fell off the bone. As for setting room there is not much but it looks like a great place for a quick lunch. We did do take out but me and the wife plan to go back for lunch sometime. She had the roast beef panini and said it was super good. Customer service was fantastic I let them know it was our first time ordering and they helped explain everything. So we will definitely be back!

Pizza was ok. Girl at front, I could barely hear her and there was nobody there. I guess it is best if you just order to go.

You call right at 8:59 pm on a Friday not willing to make a pizza. This is the third time. I’ve walked 5 min before closing and they are so ready to shut it down. It’s a a shame we live so close and yet we wanna give our money to the local pizza place but they make it so difficult

It's the papa gyros guys? But with pizza! The Joe Louis / the fist was good!! The hamburger, Italian sausage and bacon!!! The Motown!! Is very good!!! Spicy kick but not burning on fire hot... Flavorfully heated! Has a small sweet taste from the honey... I can't really explain it but it's not overwhelming, kinda subtle and it's not consistent which is a good thing but when you do get it in that bite it's like a small "ooh sweet spicy" taste! It doesn't interfere with the meat or sauce. The pizzas have crispy fried cheese on each square! The crust is kinda thick but each bite of each cut had toppings and sauce! Freshly made, not too greasy can be handled toppings are cooked and don't fall off the crust the crust is kinda crispy too. I'm cheap... so these were expensive to me. I did enjoy the food. The pizzas are small but hefty... A small (8x10) will? should fill you up IMO but I was extra hungry and ate almost two 8x10s (7 squares) almost back to back. As far as "SERVING" 2 to 4 people... I'm mean if you each get a square or two... I personally feel the 8x10 is a personal pizza. think of a stack of printer paper but pizza The service is good!!! it is a pizza spot so I would recommend calling or online ordering to save time as I'm sure it can / will get busy. However, I walked in and left with 2 pizzas in 15ish minutes on Saturday in the afternoon! While they had other customers inside sitting and eating, order pickups, and Uber eats / gubhub orders going out!! The workers were shmovin! The place is clean, not the biggest place to sit down and eat but again pizza spot, classic hits playing, parking lot is big! -------- Went back to try some more pizzas again foods great!!! Feeling adventurous try the Pickle pizza " Dill-liscious" tasted good I can't explain how but somehow it works bacon and cheeses the pickles have that deli crunch and stretchy cheese! Also tried "The Temptations" I was kinda worried that the chicken would be dry or burnt or both I have bad experiences with chicken Pizza but this wasn't bad, the Alfred sauce is good! The baklava is good kinda expensive? but good, crunchy sweet flaky syrupy! The meatballs are also expensive IMO... Meatballs in cheese and marinara sauce I wish it came with cheese sticks or breaksticks on the side they are about 1/5-1/6 the the size of a pizza slice ( 8x10) seasoned beef.

Great Detroit style pizza… made us feel right at home. Delicious high quality ingredients. The garlic ranch is amazing. Love that the owner came over to see what we thought of the place. We will definitely be back!

Superb deep dish pizza at a good price. Few tables for dining in and not much atmosphere but the staff is attentive and welcoming, and the dining area is spotless. Pizza is flavorful and the salad with a baklava dessert was a full meal. Can't wait to return and will tell my friends!

Legit pizza and wings. We got the original Detroiter and the Buffalo Wings. Both were delicious! Buffalo wings had a good spice and good sauce flavor. Buffalo flavor was not overpowering.

The place, just like the classic style of Pappa Gyros, the pizza is very delicious and also the Garlic Bread was very good!! I recommend :)

Finally a good place in Houston / Katy with an awesome sicilian style pizza. Pizza was awesome, people were awesome!! Definitely recommend! If I had to critique something then its the cannoli. Skip that.

O got the Joe Lewis no ham and it was a great pizza. Loaded with toppings and a great sauce. Money well spent. If your in Katy pick up a pie it won't disappoint.

I've had pizza in New York, Chicago, and Detroit. I can whole heartedly say that Sapore Pizza is absolutely incredible. We had the Joe Lewis deep dish pizza and it was heavenly. My wife and I can't wait to return. If 6 stars were available, I would certainly give them to Sapore!

Simple family run restaurant serving some of the best pizza in the Houston area. I love Detroit style pizza and the crust did not disappoint - light, fluffy, and perfect crispy cheese edges. We got the Motown and loved it. The smaller sized pizza was perfect for two people.

Overall, it's decent food. They actually do pizza the Detroit way. I digged the 1970's-80's soul music that was playing. It's a bit pricy for a pizza but like a Chicago style pizza, it's worth it if you want a cultural experience. The only issue (or fault of my own) I had was that there were mushrooms on my original Detroiter when it doesn't specify that it has that. Now to be fair, maybe it stated it somewhere on the menu or maybe it just comes with the standard Detroit pizza. But I didn't see anything like that when it described the item.

The wings were not good at all. I ordered the Greek sauce and buffalo and there was no seasoning and not enough sauce. The pizza however was great and I will definitely order again!

We ate at Sapore for the first time tonight and it far exceeded expectations! Definitely the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. We also had their Greek salad and garlic cheese bread and were impressed! The staff was also very friendly. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

The pizza is the real deal - Detroit style. Not only is the pizza a perfect representation of authentic Detroit pizza, you’ll also find Faygo Soda and Better Made Potato Chips - all favorites of the Michiganders! Well worth the visit - more than once too!

Visited this restaurant for the first time. I brought some friends here to eat and everyone enjoyed their meal. We got a Joe Lewis "the fist" large pizza (16 x 14). Pizza was good. Sidenote -the maximum amount of adults that size will feed is 3. Two of my friends ate the chicken paninis. They enjoyed it. They have Cokes from Mexico if you like the pure cane sugar version. The only part I didn't like was the older gentleman in the back making the pizzas with no gloves.

I can't say enough about how good the pizza is here. Especially the crust. The owner is very nice. I can definitely see where his son gets his politeness from. I will definitely return with the family.

My family enjoyed the large pizza with pepperoni and feta cheese. Their drinks are all bottled teas and sodas. I had Pure Leaf sweet tea, which was good.

If you're looking for a great pizza that has that deep dish style crust this was a great option. The ingredients were abundant and there was a good selection of pizza options. I actually enjoyed how they put the sauce on which you can see in other customer pictures. We tried some of the Michigan drinks and my kids liked the faygo rock n rye. I think I will try the choose your toppings option next time to make the perfect pizza. We added this to our options for local pizza for more variety and will come back every so for its unique options.

The pizza is probably the best tasting crust around. The cheese has a great flavor and the pepperoni’s were delicious. Definitely my top three pizza in Houston. U have to understand it’s not cheap. But it’s like everyone is selling you select quality steak and this place is A5

EXTRAORDINARY pizza!!! I cannot eat eggs or gluten, and it's VERY hard to find pizza that I can eat. Not only did they accommodate my food allergies, but the pizza was phenomenal! My only complaint is that they are not open for lunch! I'm already dreaming of heading back!!

This pizza is the best I have ever had! The Supreme 8x10 feed my husband and I with one piece left. If you are old enough to remember Barry’s pizza - this is even better!

Okay! This might be my favorite gluten free pizza in all of Houston!!! I don’t call ever having Detroit style pizza but it is DELICIOUS!!! (The fluffiest gluten free pizza I have ever had- NOT THIN CRUST!!!) Definitely check this place out regardless of having a gluten allergy or not! Amazing!!! Definitely will be coming back again. Oh & they do gluten free garlic bread as well!!!

First time trying Sapore Detroit Pizzeria. Detroit style isn’t my favorite, but these pizzas were delicious. In fact, this was my first time ever having Detroit style pizza. I really like how the sauce and toppings are spread on the top. From what I’ve heard, their chicken wings are really good, but they were out when we were visiting. I’m excited to try them on our next visit. I’ll update this review when I try them.

So glad this place exists, legit Detroit style pizza. Not cheap, but well worth the price for authenticity. Not to mention absolutely delicious pizza. The sauce is perfect balance of acidity and a hint of sweet, just a bright flavor but also so much depth. The cheese is incredible and the crust is perfectly crisp on the edges and soft and chewy in the middle. Not to mention loads of toppings!

I’ve had Chicago & NY style but when I saw this sign go up and read Detroit style I was intrigued. It did not disappoint! Different for sure but the crust was so fluffy and delicious! While I waited I enjoyed a delicious grape soda, so definitely recommend those too! We tried different pizzas and they were delicious, but the wings were also great. Will be definitely coming back!
