Relaxing atmosphere with great food.

my friend recommended this place so decided to try it out and it did not disappoint!!! the young man who took our ordered was super welcoming, he went over all the specials and wine/beer selection. our knots came with marinara sauce and it smelled and tasted just like my godmothers from Sardegna!! i closed my eyes and i felt like i just walked into her kitchen. i almost wanted to cry because she is no longer with us.. so i knew it was going to be delicious! the knots and sauce were perfect as well as the all meat pizza! i can’t wait to come by and try the lasagna next, if they have it on special again🤞10/10 would recommend! can’t wait to go back 🙂 (already ate a few knots before taking the picture)

As a NYer living in Texas I am always trying to find pizza that's made just like back home. I finally found it in Sapores, not only is the pizza just like back home but every single item on the menu is exactly how it's made back home in Brooklyn. The owner is very welcoming and sweet.

WOW!!!! I didn't think pizza could taste ultra delicious (is that a word?) and I was born in Chicago!!! Everything was delicious!!!!

The pizza was so fresh and flavorful! We loved it! We were only sad we didn’t get to try the tiramisu but it gives us an excuse to return! Definitely recommend it!

The pizza was okay. Not as savory as I hoped. I had 2 pizzas. The quattro formaggi: not enough cheese. Some areas weren’t covered with cheese, sauce was exposed. But the thin crispy bread was very pleasant. The sauce felt like it was a bit bland, not savory enough. The Sicilian (+pepperoni): the bread was super soft and doughy, in a great way. Same sauce experience, not savory enough. Same cheese experience, not enough cheese. Overall, a medium pizza of this quality wasn’t what I expected, not for $20+ each. I wish I paid extra for 3x cheese on the quattro formaggi, and I wish I paid extra for 2x cheese & pepperoni on the Sicilian for extra saltiness. Also, I wish both pizzas were extra toasted to get some nice deep brown spots and crunch. And the sauce, I feel like it could use much more attention.

We came here to celebrate our baby's birthday and it was such an amazing experience. The service is incredible we were able to talk to the gentleman serving us he was such a sweet man, we've learned a little bit about Italy through him then he played kids movie on the TV, he had such a good energy. And the pizza was amazing, we're used to the pizza from NY and this is definitely the best pizza place in SA, we've tried so many different places and this one definitely wins. The restaurant's decoration is super cute, everything is so clean and it seems like they love what they do. Thank you so much for bringing amazing pizza to this city!

This is the closest to real NY style that I’ve had in awhile! Amazing taste and for a reasonable price! We live about 30 minutes away and the pizza is still delicious when we get home. This hidden gem is worth it!

Very clean place and excellent pizza! We ordered a small pizza and a greek salad and were really impressed with the chewy crust, the sauce is perfect, and toppings were generous. The salad was fresh, came with a tasty balsamic vinaigrette, and was a good portion size. We live in Castle Hills and this is our first time here but we will definitely be back. Give this place a shot, you wont be disappointed.

Management is amazing! Especially the conversation with the owner Guiseppe! He’s very friendly and takes time to greet all his customers. He truly values the business relationship and more importantly the friendships. To top it off it’s the best pizza in the city by far! I highly recommend the Pavarotti Favorite! 😋

Pizza is great. The person that was working on the counter. I’m guessing he’s the owner with the glasses. He was extremely nasty, but that reason I will not be going there nor the people that I know.

Not only was this one of the best pizzas I have ever had but the experience was unforgettable. I sat down and the owner was one of the most genuine human beings I have came across. There is no question whether or not you should eat here this was the best experience I’ve ever had walking into a random establishment. You have got yourself a customer for life.

Stopped by for some pizza 🍕 as first-timers. Google maps has their old location, but they moved into a new location down the way in the same shopping center. The pizza was delicious! We also got garlic parm wings, caeser salad 🥗 and the Italian Panino. They also have an inside/outside patio for dining options. Staff was friendly and helpful. The place was very clean, with cool grass backdrops for photos 📸. They also had some football ⚽️ memorabilia, and the Italian beer was tasty🍻. Overall, it was a nice place to hang out with the family.

Do yourself a favor and stop settling for chain store pizza. Sapores is fantastic, all the food is fresh and made for you. Staff is always really friendly and the restaurant is well maintained. All the menu items I've had were great, but don't miss the Peppi Poppers; those are highly addictive.

Meat pizza is awesome! You have to try it out, you won't be disappointed.

Order half cheese and half pepperoni. Guy didn’t ring it up till I got there to pay. So he forgot the order on the way to make it. Then tried to hide the mistake by pulling the pepperonis off. Rather them just own up to the mistake then try to hide it. Pizza was pretty good.

So me and my girlfriend were trying to figure a place to eat and cane across this gem. The food was amazing tasted fresh and was made by the owner himself! Name is Joe he was a great person gave me and girlfriend a wonderful experience! Definitely coming back for more!

Just opened & I always try tge new place. This one I will return to frequently. Owner is from Naples - the birthplace of pizza. His product shows much expertise in the genre.

Food was wonderful, great service and everything was clean. The pizza crust was light but still not too thin. Greek salad was a perfect starter and the garlic knots were soft and yummy. The marinara to dip them in was one of the best I've had!

The crust is light and crispy to where it’s almost flaky. That is what everyone else gets wrong about New York style and this place gets right. The sauce and cheese are complimentary and go well with this crust. I wish the pepperonis were a little crispier but the texture and flavor of this slice is perfect. It’s now what I consider the best in SA for New York Style pizza. 2 slices and a drink is under $10 if you pay cash, I little pricier than other slices in town but worth it.

Great NY style! Better than Yaghis. The sauce is amazing and the added oregano on top really makes this pizza stand out. The crust is much better as well.

Not good! Ordered a Greek salad, pizza and a can of coke…The salad had some lettuce in it that was old and gross! The pizza was super greasy and super salty! No reason to take any of most of the pizza home….The whole soda machine was out of order… Horrible customer service!!! The owner was more interested in the t.v. than the food he served! Definitely not going back…..

Delicious pizza! Staff was very friendly. Service was quick. We are here visiting from Indiana and wanted some pizza. Did a quick Google search and found this place. This is some of the best pizza I’ve ever had.

First time here, they made our pizza fresh. The crust, sauce was really good, my kids loved it.

If a tip is left it is for the employees not the owner! Isn't that illegal to keep employee tips? I am absolutely sure it is illegal to not claim tips or any dollar amount received at the establishment during business hours from a customer!

This place is without a doubt 5 stars across the board! My wife and I celebrated her bday here and the staff was super friendly and nice. The owner, who is from Naples, Italy, was very pleasant to speak with as well. We ordered a variety of food from wings, garlic knots, pizza, and panino. This pizza was hands down the best we've had in SA compared to other various well-known pizza places. The crust was perfectly baked and had a nice crunch to it. The ingredients were all fresh and very well seasoned. Trust me, you have to try this place. The garlic knots were very buttery, and the meatball panino was nothing short of amazing. We will definitely be coming back to try the pasta among other dishes. Molto bene. Grazie!

Very mediocre. An awful lot of money for very little cheese or toppings.

The pizza is awesome. It has just the right amount of sauce and cheese. Oh and the Peppi Poppers are delicious!!! They make their marinara sauce just the way I like it. This is my absolute favorite place to eat pizza except for the upset/rude look on the owner’s face whenever I ask for a box or container so that I can box up any leftovers. You would think the owner wouldn’t mind after spending over $120 whenever we visit or at the very least charge me for the darn containers/boxes. I would rather pay for a “to-go” box than feel uncomfortable asking for one. My mother even got the ugly stare from the owner when she asked for a container so that she can take the marinara sauce that came with the Peppi Poppers. We had at least 7oz of marinara sauce left and the owner only gave her one 2oz container. When she asked for another container, the owner made another ugly face, walked back to the kitchen to grab another tiny container and handed it over without saying a word. That was my mother’s first time at the restaurant.. she told me she would not returning. As soon as I find a better pizza place, I’m doing the same. 🙁

I wanted Sicilian pizza for a change. The guy behind the counter had an attitude. The pizza was overpriced in my opinion and wasn't good enough to go back to deal with "Mr. Personality" behind the counter. I've read your response. There were no other customers in you shop when I uttered my allegedly egregious word. And if that's your policy, post it! I would've have read it and left. I wouldn't support with my money a language monitor. And then not saying anything to me and having an attitude with me is not a way to handle it or a good way to operate a business. My son was actually fearful for my safety after seeing the way you looked at us when we left. Like I said, not good enough that I have to tolerate your insufferable behavior.

I’ve found a new Italian place. I had the sausage roll. Yummy! If you haven’t been, what’s keeping you? In the words of George Zimmer: “You’re going to like it. I guarantee it!”

A native of New Jersey, I can say confidently that Sapores is the best NY pizza in the Alamo City. They even have a pizza bigger than 16" - rare in the burbs. Crust is especially lovely. Sapore's is my new #1.

It's the best pizza I've had since moving to the US 10 years ago, absolutely delicious. The owner, who is also the cook, is Italian and very nice to talk to. I will definitely be back often.

Honest Review- if you are like me and wondering if the food taste good and the health reports are good, etc.. then yes! These guys won blue plate awards for having perfect scores in their health reports, and the taste of the food shows it! I look at health reports first before I try any restaurant, good for them for keeping a clean restaurant! Thank you guys! Keep it up! Food is amazing! I encourage for those of you who have not tried it, do a slice and salad, you will be surprised. We loved it!

I’m not usually one to write reviews about places but man! This was the best New York style pizza I’ve had since I went to New York, maybe even better!! My favorite was the Salvatore pizza, it had great savory ingredients that really worked perfectly together. The salads we’re also very fresh and tasty especially paired with the homemade balsamic vinaigrette they have! Best pizza place in SA by far and I will definitely be visiting again! :)

Stopped by on a whim and couldn't be happier. I wasn't even that hungry but the wife made a great call here. Garlic knots were so good I ate them all, pizza can be ordered by the slice and was excellent. Love that's its a small business too! We will be back, I'm sure.

Great tasting pizza with lots of options

Wrong food, cold and management unwilling to fix. They sell on Postmates but when you choose to build your own pizza, there is no way to officially select and pay for toppings, only leave a note.

First time there for lunch and it was delicious and fast! The service was great and I forgot to get his name but he was funny friendly and just a genuine person. We will definitely be back

I'm not a big "foodie." Not picky, can't say I know the difference between Chicago, NY or SA pizza. I thought the food we got was delicious. They'll put whatever you want on it --or you can order some of their menu items. It was quick and the service was excellent. 4 stars because it was pricey. Be prepared.

One of the best NY slices in town.

A friend of mine (who used to live in Italy) recommended this place as being the most authentically Italian pizza she had come across in Texas. I can't personally vouch for that, but I can say that it's some of the best pizza I've ever had. The key is eating it when it is still very fresh out of the oven, while the crust is still crispy. We have been here many times and they have always produced very consistent, absolutely perfect crust and really delicious sauce, with unique combinations of toppings that are great together. My personal favorite is the Salvatore. Highly recommend!

Pizza took a long time to be ready. When I first walked in, I had a drink from another place and asked the girl at the front desk if she had a trash can, so I could dispose of said drink and pay money for a drink at this place. She instantly told me she didn’t have one (in a restaurant? Wow.) so I elected to drink my drink and not spend the extra money or effort supporting the business. While minor, it instantly made me question eating here, which would’ve saved me about an hour and a half of time.

I don’t know who said this place is like dominos lol but this definitely isn’t dominos.. This is a piece of art made by a man who loves making pizza. Incredibly delicious!!!

Long time coming for this! This is my favorite pizzeria in SA! Giuseppe is a pizza genius, you can taste the love in every bite! From dough, sauce to cheese is just perfection. And the slices are kinda big. Real good ny style pizza! Our go to pizza for parties!

The Pizza is very good, go big! Get the Sicilian! My wife is Lactose intolerant so she get her half with no cheese and it’s still so good. The sauce is seasoned perfectly & the dough is perfectly baked.

Came in on a whim and ordered a lunch special of two slices and a drink. Since the owner is from Naples, Italy - I expected the pie to be top tier and i’m glad to say I was not let down!

The Stromboli was fresh & so delicious. Exactly how I wanted it to taste. The Greek salad could use a little bit more love but was still good.

Nice small sit-down place with friendly staff and one obviously experienced chef. We’ll be back. Gonna bring a bottle of wine next time.
