I had a private event on the Mezzanine on Sunday, having booked it online and unknown based on availability, price and location (since I live in Indianapolis, IN). JACKPOT!!! The mezzanine was perfect for my daughter’s bridal shower! The service (Michi was amazing!), the food (brunch), the drinks, the atmosphere were great! Many of the guests plan to return to dine! A+!

I love this place! Definitely try the lamb ragu, Scottish wild salmon and the artichokes! And let’s not forget the grand marnier!

Beautiful European bistro. Excellent wine selection and everything (including cocktails and brunch) are fine dining quality with local eats familiarity.

Very poor quality food. Very disappointing.

We were a party of four, all had different dishes (steak, cornish hen, salmon, beer stew) and every single one of them was great! I tried the 'Flemish Carbonnade' myself and it was cooked just perfect! Exactly the way you would find it in a (good) Belgian restaurant. The chocolate lava cake is also something I would recommend. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Quite disappointed with the overall experience. Despite choosing this restaurant based on favorable Google reviews, the food and service did not meet expectations. The salad, featuring tomatoes and cucumber, was decent but nothing exceptional. The steak, which I requested to be cooked medium to well, arrived overcooked and lacked flavor. The fries were overly salty and not enjoyable at all. Even the dessert was underwhelming. Adding to the disappointment, when it came time to pay, I was informed that they do not accept Apple Pay or PayPal, only cash or a physical card. In 2024, it's surprising and inconvenient for a restaurant to have such limited payment options. After insisting on an alternative, the manager finally resolved the issue by manually entering my credit card number into their system. Overall, the poor quality of food and outdated payment options left me with a bad impression of Satis Bistro. I hope they take this feedback seriously and make necessary improvements.

The meals are delicious. The staff is attentive and friendly.

We had a great brunch time there. A male staff is kind to kid, he served a plate of fruit to my child, and always smile to kid. He made us feel good during the meal. Foods are also good, we love the grilled shrimp one. We will definitely visti again.

We sat outside, the patio is really nice. It sits on a corner in Paulus Hook which is very pleasant and allows for some good people watching. The food was good. My gnocchi was a bit too big and too thick and the parmesan truffle cream was a bit thick and too rich (yeah I know it’s a cheesy cream sauce what was I expecting?!). The steak frites was delish and the fries were really good. Word of advice: the cocktails are generously poured and are on the strong side so, order accordingly.

I had a wonderful experience! Jenny, our hostess, was amazing from start to finish. She helped us with getting our reservation. Jovania, our waitress, provided exceptional service. All staff were friendly and observant in tending to everything. Jovania's recommendations on the menu were spot on. The appetizers were great and very delicious. We really enjoyed all our meals. We even got a chance to speak to the owner and told him how much we really loved the food and the selections chosen for the menu. I will definitely be coming back here. I highly recommend this place!

Wonderful experience and great food! One of the best local restaurants. Theo was very kind, will certainly come back.

Great food at reasonable prices and beautifully plated. Extensive cocktails and an extensive wine list. A conversation at your table with your party can actually happen without shouting. The staff does not rush your service, we were there 3 hours and never were asked to hurry for another turn of the table.

Nice place overall but the brunch menu pappardelle bolognese was underwhelming without much meat and mostly bland tomato sauce, not worth the price. Fries and burger were great.

I came here multiple times, and usually had good experience. But today, I ordered steak, was bland and somehow some parts were overcooked some parts undercooked. I didn’t make it a big deal, just didn’t finish the meal. And after like an hour I started showing symptoms of food poisoning. This is super disappointing and definitely not coming back.

I don't usually post reviews, but in case I want to because my experience was horrible , Staff was rude, and we felt like racist. TBH food wasn't great either, just average. I am never going back there, staff was extremely rude.

Had such high expectations for this place given the great reviews - however first impression we instantly noticed that our waitress was plain unfriendly and trying to rush us out on a Saturday night…there was no denying that. Food was extremely subpar. I wouldn’t return.

Came here a while ago for a friends bday dinner and watched them demand a higher tip from my friend who was paying. This was my 3rd time at Satis and my last. Never had a waiter flip so quickly from being kind and courteous to outright rude and it made the dining experience very uncomfortable for our group. Needless to say, I’m not coming back to a business that can’t support its staff when their food prices are already high and relies on aggressive tactics to bully patrons into emptying more from their pockets after a very average tasting meal

The place is cozy, for lovers of good food, drinks, desserts 🍮 in a small but pleasant corner, good music 🎧. Gentle

A little French Restaurante, with second level inside the local. The ambience and music make you enjoy the food and drinks. I went last Saturday and the waitress was so nice and very helpful. Please Order the Duck Croquettes for Appetizer.

Pretty average place - service is good but you must have a physical card or cash otherwise can't pay. Food was also very average. And the menu on Google is only for Dinner. They have a separate lunch menu which has limited options. Ambience depends totally on where you are seated.

We just visited the place and we were delighted with the food and the service. Thank you very much VALENTÍN AND CARLOS for being so kind and serving us very well. We are sure that we will return. What a beautiful place.

Good food and good service. It’s always easy to get a table here and it’s a good staple in jersey city Paulus hook area. They don’t serve alcohol until 12 pm.

Lovely little place. We tend to go with a party of 6 to 8 and never ever felt rushed or ignored. The team is nothing but welcoming. We love the menu the service and ambiance. Great job staying reasonable in price compared to NYC. Your facility is lovely. Also, the drink menu is high quality wines and whiskeys and ports. Also good for couples.

I feel lucky to be alive to experience an extraordinary meal like the one I just had at Satis. I don’t do reviews, but this place was so good I had to.

Live around the corner and came for dinner for the first time. Serving staff were lovely and attentive and the owner (I assume) was on tables and checking in, very friendly. We enjoyed the food a lot, and the wine was very reasonably priced. The duck was especially good. Ambiance is great too.

Unexpectedly good and I say this as an Italian. First and second courses very good. Very friendly and courteous staff. I absolutely recommend booking here if you are looking for dinner in the area. I ate a burrata (shame about the too much pesto), gnocchi and meat. The ice cream is excellently not very sweet and therefore very adult-like.

Went there for brunch, we had reservations so we were seated immediately. We had the pancakes, avacado toast and some Patata thing for appetizers. The mimosas were good too.

Damn good food and excellent service

The staff were very attentive & patient. We were a party of 4 and the each of us found something on the brunch menu that we all liked. Each dish had lots of “green” which was very fresh. We will be going here again!

Solid french inspired cuisine. Ownership has changed, but quality has not suffered for it.

We loved Satis. The pasta was so delicious, and service was friendly, accommodating, and quick. We can’t wait to go back!

Food was delicious. Had the omelette for brunch and it was the most beautifully fluffy omelette I've ever had and the greens were very flavorful. We had brought our toddler and they graciously made a plain bowl of pasta for her and even that was delicious!

Is there a new chef? Because Satis is FLAWLESS lately! Every dish we had was perfectly prepared and even the sides were absolutely delicious! Our server and wait staff were so attentive and professional — plus, we were seated at a quieter side of the restaurant, as we requested. For a Sunday night, Satis was comfortably active. Our entrees included the short ribs bolognese (excellent!), the roasted chicken (also excellent!) and the Bronzino (perfection!) . This time, instead of apps, we ordered sides — grilled artichoke (amazingly fresh!), grilled Brussels sprouts (always delicious!) and truffle fries (outstanding!). We ended the dinner with the Chocolate Soufflé, pistachio cheesecake & lemon sorbet. ..all delicious & delectable! Prices are still on the reasonable side, considering the high quality of the menu selection and certainly compared to NYC. Such a neighborhood gem and we’re just delighted that Satis is back— better than ever!

The food was amazing! We got the Crab cake, truffle gnocchi, the truffle chicken and finally the chocolate lava cake(very rich). Nothing was less than a 10/10. Cute place for a date or a nice family dinner!

The Ricotta Gnocchi is absolutely amazing, I’m not vegetarian and am not regretting getting this dish at all. The crab cake is warm and tender as well. Lamb ragú is flavorful and in a good portion. I had the cocktail from the dessert menu which is a Tiramisu, loved it. Wish I can have the seating in the front high ceiling area, not sure what’s the rule of getting seated since I definitely saw some empty tables in the front.

The staff was racist ! We tried gnocchi (perfect for vegetarians) and absolutely loved it. I would have rated the restaurant 5/5 if the staff was not rude. The entire ambiance and mood was spoiled due to the behavior of the staff. It felt like we were being served for free or something. The food wow and the staff behavior 🤮 We were charged 20% for party service charge and we were only 2 people and later when we asked the staff why was it charged they reduced it and mentioned that you guys (Indians) are bad tippers so we charge the party service charge and next time if you visit the restaurant you have to give the party service charge and tip. What the hell was that behavior? You can’t force people to tip you when you were super rude and spoiled the entire evening. I am never visiting this restaurant again😡

The food was good but the staff was very rude! They argued and by default charged us 20% tip for the party of two. When we asked to remove the service charge and later on one of the server came outside and was really rude and kind of racist for tipping less. Totally mood spoiler. I wouldn’t recommend going to a restaurant with rude and racist server.

Love this place! The mushroom croquettes are so so delicious and the roasted chicken is also super yummy. I’m typically not a fan of gnocchi but the one they serve up here is so good. The service is always great, waiters are friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is dimly lit and beautiful.

Service was excellent and food was delicious, though somewhat over-priced. Nice selection of wines by the glass which were reasonably priced.

Dinner was great, flemish carbonnade was a total winner, lamb croquettes were as well, service was attentive and friendly, only hope is for next time if they could dim the lights upstairs they were quite bright when eating up there

Reserved weeks in advance and told them it was a birthday dinner— upon arrival we were seated all the way in the back near the kitchen where staff was coming in and out constantly, an awful seat for my partners birthday dinner. Worse than the seating tho was the food which was underwhelming, flavorless and overpriced at almost $40 a dish. The pasta tasted like chef boyardee. Would definitely not come back and cannot recommend them for any special occasions.

Very overpriced. Limited menu. Nothing more than a neighborhood joint pretending to be something inflated. French fries $11. Boiled pasta (as a small kid's side, $11). Food is good, nothing to remember, ambience does not satisfy price. Not kid friendly.

Great spot. When you are served, you ca. tell whoever prepared your plate really cares about the food. Presentation is very good. Brussels sprouts are excellent. I had the short rib sandwich, excellent. My friend had French toast. Looked s sumptuous.

Absolutely love this place! The food is amazing, the ambience is amazing - just make a reservation before you go. High ceilings and loft style vibe in there. Loved the high ceilings. The staff is friendly. We have been for brunch and dinner - both were very good and had completely different menus. In terms of the food - you HAVE to get the gnocchi - it is absolutely divine! All the potato dishes went great and it is hilarious that I’m writing about potatoes because I do not enjoy eating them usually. This place is genuinely fantastic so I would highly recommend you check it out! It’s a JC Jewel :)

Amazing food! A great experience. Only problem is that they don’t split the check for you. In large groups it’s inconvenient. I don’t understand why separating checks for large groups is so difficult. Highly irritating. After a good meal and a good time who wants to figure out the bill. I think it’s a little rude to refuse to itemize when requested. Especially when requested in advance.

Service is always warm, friendly and reliable. Nice people and very professional staff. The food is always delicious as well as adventurous. Wine selections are vast and reliably satisfying. I would recommend bringing your guests here for a delicious meal.

The food was amazing as was the service

Brunch was decent, nothing unique. Execution could've been better, for example, doing more than just topping scrambled eggs with parmesan shavings for their "parmesan eggs". The steak, reuben sandwich, and chicken sandwich were fine, but nothing that stood out. Unfortunately, the server was SLOW. Slow to initially attend to us, slow to check-up on us. We had to call him several times as he was busy with his back to us, gossiping with coworkers.

Consistently excellent. We also need to try the bar space next door which looks to have a different vibe but the same great food !

Came here for a large family dinner, eleven people total. Staff and atmosphere were amazing. Food was mostly excellent, with nothing being bad, just one or two of the entrees were just OK, but the appetizers were all spectacular as was desert. Overall we had a great time and were pleased with the food.

My friend hosted her reception there as the place holds sentimental value to their relationship. The set up, staff, alcohol and food was all mindblowing and I have no words to describe how great the experience was. Highly recommend Satis Bistro. Can't wait to go back for a meal.

I was really looking forward to going to Satis Bistro for my first time and to treat an out-of-guest to a Jersey gem. The experience was mixed. I had a very poor, rude experience with the hostess who ignored my reservation and tried to tuck my party in a basement corner to be forgotten about for the next 30-minutes as she seated walk-ins behind us. It took me returning to the hostess stand for an update to be seated and served. The manager and waiter were very apologetic and attentive from that point forward. I am hoping this is a one-off experience. The food and ambience were otherwise good.

The recipe for the gnocchi dish has changed slightly. The cream sauce used to be lighter and not so thick. The gnocchi used to be perfect squares but now look to be extruded out of a bag and cut to length. There were no white beans in my dish unless they are now incorporated into the sauce instead of just being in the plate. I was disappointed this was my favorite dish there.

I went to this place several times. In the beginning, I thought it was great. Over time, I changed my opinion. They close the indoor part of the restaurant very often for events. I got there multiple times and the restaurant was partially opened. The quality of the food also decreased a lot over the last year or so. Last time I had the steak and frites, the meat didn't taste good. They just use low quality meat nowadays. Also, if you get there without a reservation, they just give you the worst table that they have.
