Pleasantly surprised by how many gluten-free options this restaurant had! It was really nice to finally get some decent gluten-free Italian food.

Food was great. Service was meh.. it's a good place to go. But idk maybe just a weird day!

2nd visit. Not as mind blowing as the first. So, we go from 5 to 4 stars. The house salad dressing had less flavor this round. The pizza was good.

Have always been a fan of this place and their great menu. Today was a little bothered that the waiter didn't care that my grandson's pizza had a hair baked into the cheese.. but everything else was great.

The salads are always tasty and delicious. The pizza was crispy and baked without being overdone

It still amazes me that Scarpas staff are terribly rude. Great menu, nice atmosphere but the snobby staff will keep me out for another year. Lawrence....I ordered the salad to go....

Stopped in for dinner with some friends. We were seated quickly. Table service was excellent. Scarpas filled up quickly after we were seated. We split a salad, portions hear allow the a table of 4 to share a salad. Ordered several pasta dishes, on even gluten free, any and all choices here are excellent. Wine selection was good as well. Stop in and enjoy a locally owned restaurant, you will not be disappointed. Enjoy.

When you pull into a restaurant with no available parking spaces, that's a first clue the food must be good. I was not disappointed. I'm looking forward to returning.

It was okay, food came out quickly and the mushroom pizza was good.

We've been going to this location after they had closed down the Montgomery location, never had an issue til May 29th. My kids & I wanted to celebrate my birthday so I decided Scarpas. Upon arrival, the restaurant was a full house, so they told us a 30 minute wait for more than party of 6 and it was 3 adults with 2 older kids with a toddler, which was fine but what irritated me was how the reservations get priority when their party was legit 30-45 late, so unfair when the restaurant could accommodate those who were there and we had complained this to the restaurant manger, whom we did not get his name. Waitress named Jesse, took our drink order, cool she was nice at that time until I noticed the party next to us literally got their food almost an hour later... so I took it upon myself to pay for the drinks only when we could had took our business elsewhere and that's when Jesse's attitude totally changed when I had asked to pay for the drinks only. She had said give her 5 minutes and she'll do that, 10 minutes past and she comes back saying she couldn't "modify" the drinks because the manager was busy and at this time, at this time they begin bringing out orders when we clearly just want to pay for our drinks. We did not touch the food, right away we wanted to get outta there because of how the restaurant manager was running the place, no leadership and he wasn't taking the role of a busy restaurant. I had told Jesse we just wanted to pay for the drinks, but instead brought the food out! At the point, I was infuriated with how this business was run.. so we got up and began leaving. The restaurant manager ran after us and told us we couldn't leave without paying for our meals and threatened to call the authorities when obviously we did not commit any crime. My husband and I told the restaurant manager, how we had asked Jesse we wanted to pay for drinks only and he was forcing us to pay for the food as well when we didn't touch it at all! But we ended up paying for the whole ticket & took the food to-go! I'm surprised oh now the restaurant manager ran this establishment, being that he also mentioned he has been there for 20 years allegedly when we never seen him, no sincere apology or going to every table and letting them know about any updates on how their orders are doing ahead of time and/or attentive friendly staff!! I am not the one who does bad experiences, but in hopes no one will experience on how this restaurant manager handled everything. We had asked to get the general manager's name or someone who is in charge, and he gave us a "Joe" with the number 505-821-1821 when the store's number is 505-821-1885. So I'm sure it was a made-up name and the number was a different line to the store!

Specialty pizzas good. Green Chile chicken Alfredo very good. Nice restaurant.

Food has been good every time I’ve gone. They have an option for gluten free substitutions for their pasta, and have pretty generous serving sizes at a reasonable price. Last time I went (counting a generous tip) was about 45 for two.

First time going there everything was awesome waiter was extremely nice and professional food was good.

This place is absolutely delicious, and the portion sizes are pretty good. The bread is fantastic, all of the ingredients are nice and fresh, the staff is very friendly; the only thing I’m mad about is not discovering this place sooner!!

This is one of our favorite places! Everything is good, and there's such a variety from soup, pizza, pasta, and salads, and they're all good. The main desert they have (torta di mele) is to die for too!

Our new favorite pizza spot. The crust is always perfect. The place looks a little outdated inside but give them a chance and you won't be disappointed. Prices are very reasonable as well.

This was such an amazing experience! Service was beyond good. They were very busy yet very efficient and greeted and sat us down promptly. The waiters were very nice and helpful. Now, the food was excellent. The pizza is my favorite now! I can’t wait to come back!

They didn’t want to have another large party of 10, told us we would have to wait 2 to 3 hours because they just sat a large party. How can you assume it takes that long to sit someone at your restaurant!!!! They Said we can wait in the car, lady was rude disrespectful and outright awful if they would have asked, we wouldn’t have mind separating into two groups. But to just tell us it’s going to be 3 hours, to leave and wait in the car and be completely rude! I am never coming back!!!!!! No consideration or common respect while talking to customers.

The hostess was great. The food, well, the pizza wasn't horrible, got the Thai Chicken. It has not distinctive flavor for something boasting a thai bbq sauce and caramalized onions. The gluten free pizza was pitiful. It looks barely baked, no taste to the crust. Disappointed. Have had far better gluten free at domino's and no that is not a stretch. Salad... the bacon bleu cheese had this weird bitterness to it. Someone else commented on the red chile cream pasta being oily and yes. It is and flavorless. And no red chile flavor or creaminess with a small portion and two pieces of shrimp and four small slices of chicken, you get both as an option. Look if you wanna take the gamble, go ahead because apparently plenty of people like the food. Or just don't, it's too expensive to gamble with food nowadays.

I've been going for years and will keep coming back for more wine, pizza, pasta & caesar salads. Great staff (& owner) to match the food. Miss the Montgomery location, but as long as Academy is open, I'll be there! ❤️

A great spot for a quick lunch or dinner with some great food that is not expensive. We enjoy sharing a full house salad with grilled chicken, excellent balsamic vinaigrette dressing, for two of us for $15! They have great pizzas and unique pasta dishes - large portions. Definitely worth a visit!

Scrumptious, authentic Italian cuisine. This quaint restaurant houses the cutest brick oven that produces the most delicious pizza and their pasta Aragosta is to die for. Highly recommend.

Wonderful restaurant!! Food was Crafted well and delicious !! We actually went back a second day to enjoy more of their wonderful food. We will definitely make them a regular stop when we come to town.

We were profiled for being older by our server Collin. Food was ok. I keep tring to figure out the odd taste in my dish. It was burnt garlic. The shrimp were slightly overcooked and rubbery. He was very attentive to patrons who were friends of another employee. He was also attentive to the younger patrons. I sat for over 10 minutes trying to get my bill. He then took my payment tookk another order from a young couple. It took him another several minutes to bring me back my card. Probably putting in the young couples order before dealing with me. I have another gift card but will not use it there and will let all my clients know of the discrimination and food quality.

It doesn't matter what you order, it's always great!

Beware if you try to use the Restaurant gift card you can buy at Costco and their dough roller’s rewards program. They said that’a not allowed. The gift card acts as cash and should be used at any time. Likely won’t be going back there. No wonder their business has decreased. Poor customer service at its best.

The green Chile cheeseburger pizza is a favorite, especially with the al arancia salad!

My wife and I found this little hole in the wall place in Abq. We decided to try it since we were in town. We had the most amazing lunch ever. We are always taking daily road trips sometimes for no reason just to get out of the house. From now on if we want a good salad, pasta or pizza we won’t think twice driving from Santa Fe. And a shout out to our waitress, Aidee, you’re the best! We ordered the Ensalada di Pollo salad to share and it was more than enough for the two of us. Next we ordered the penne and vodka pasta with bacon and sausage. We share that as well and it was so delicious. We were stuffed and never order dessert anywhere but our waitress, Aidee was insisting that we not miss out on the Torta Mele-Java. She was spot in! We are now on a food coma driving back to Santa Fe and raving about this restaurant. It was off the chain. Don’t miss this one!

Scarpas is exactly as I remember it! Their red Chile cream pasta is absolutely fantastic and I recommend it to everybody. Go there and have some awesome pizza and some pasta and salads and it's delicious place to eat

Always, the food is great. Service this time, not so good. Only until after our dinner was the waitress attentive. The Merlot was actually excellent. I had half Classico salad and Margarita pizza. We had coffee, which is good, and the dessert. I was with two friends. Alas, there was a crying baby screaming in my ears. I wish something could be done about that, but nope the parents didn't seem to care... Atmosphere was nice, slightly noisier than usual. Busy evening but that's always a good sign. Overall, a lovely evening. Thank you for staying in business and being down the street and remaining as an excellent restaurant in our neighborhood.

I love this place! We've been coming here for years. The 'Hot Bacon and Bleu Salad' is fantastic! The dressing is phenomenal and, the 'Pasta Aragosta' is outstanding!

Husband and I were in ABQ for the Balloon Fiesta, and loved thus restaurant so much we went back twice. First hubby & I had individual pizzas and salad. This Jersey girl was in 7th Heaven - a thin crust, not too much sauce, just perfect. Salad was huge - hubby & I shared a large and we had more than enough. Our waitress, Sydney, was PHENOMENAL! Just the right combo of professionalism, efficiency, and (appropriate) "sassy" that kept us fed and laughing. Not staying far from Scarpas, & not wanting another fas food or chain restaurant experience, we decided to go back. This time, we had pasta dishes - again, large portions and great taste. Recommended: leave room for the ice cream finale - large enpugh to share. Even better - we lucked out & had Sydney again as our server! Having come from a family that owned a very successful Italian restaurant for many years, I can assure you that quality of service is just as important as the quality of the food. In conversation, we learned that the staff has been there for years, & you can see it is a great team focused on customer service. Atmosphere is casual, wine list is good. Stop reading & go! Now!

Great experience! The server took our drink and food order quickly. The Ensalada de Pollo was as delicious as usual. I love that they use high-quality romaine lettuce, not iceberg. We had planned on ordering dessert, but dinner was quite satisfying on its own.

Definitely a hidden gem. The salad with bacon added is a must have! Salad will never be the same!

We arrived for a late lunch and were seated very quickly. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and was very clean. Our server arrived and got our drinks ordered quickly. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks and to place our order. We ordered 2 kids pizzas (1 cheese and 1 pepperoni), a BLT pizza and a Pizza Primavera. The wait time was very minimal and everything came out fresh to order. Every bite was delicious and we had plenty left over to save for later. Excellent service and food!!

I thought there'd be more ingredients on the pizza. Was a little disappointed. Atmosphere was awesome. Service was great.

Scarpas is very good. Their salads are huge and very good. Their pizzas are delicious as well. And their asparagus soup is out of this world.

Great food! Went twice (so far) in a 1 week visit to the area. First time I had the Pasta Veneto. Second time (just a few days later) I had the Pizza Primevera. Both were delicious! Always complemented with the Marble Double White. Highly recommended.

One of the worst recipes I have had for Italian food. I would say Olive Garden would be 4x better. I honestly don’t know why this place is as busy as it is. The staff is great but I would say Matucci’s 1000x better in all aspects. If you like NaCl without any flavor this is your spot.

Went for our 7 year anniversary dinner. It was a Friday night, so it was busy, but the wait wasn't long. Wait time from ordering until the food came wasn't bad either. Food was hot and fresh, waitress was friendly and efficient. Will recommend for a decent dining experience.

Very crowded and noisy due to its popularity. I had a pizza, thin crust. Crust was a bit too crispy for my taste. Many people live their pizza, and a wide range of other Italian-American dishes.

Food was good but when we finished, the waitress totally invited us after she cleared plates. She didn't ask if we wanted anything else and walked by us numerous times.

Pretty much the only restaurant I will order pasta at in Albuquerque. The food is DELICIOUS! I have had numerous salad, pizza and pasta dishes. All of them are great. Make sure to order extra Scarpa bread! They have the most amazing garlic butter that they smear all over it. It's usually pretty slow, which is shocking to me. The customer service is EXCELLENT! I have had experiences with management at both locations, and was impressed with both of them. It is a little pricey for the portion size, but for me, the service and atmosphere are worth it! I have even called in orders to pick up and take home. They treat me just as wonderful over the phone.

Service and food were was amazing, but no one spoke Italian just our group.

I had the red Chile cream pasta with shrimp and it was soo soo soo good!!!!! My honey had the wild mushroom pizza and it was to die for! I was impressed with the food. I highly recommend it. We also had the garlic bread appetizer which was great by itself and also delicious to dip in the pasta sauce.

Tasty soup, salads and padta dishes. Try the minestrone with pesto.

I have to preface by saying I never write reviews for only the reason that I forget, but I didn't want to forget to post this review. My husband and I couldn't decide where to eat for lunch and finally decided on Scarpa's. I had only picked up food from them a couple of times during COVID, but this time we dined in and ordered the house salad, the Italian Sausage pizza and the Torta Di Mele for dessert. Everything was delicious, but the Torta Di Mele was the BEST dessert I have ever had....and I've had many desserts in my lifetime. The pallet was going crazy for both of us with each bite. This dessert is a must for anyone who decides to visit this restaurant. In addition to great food, it was refreshing to get "great" customer service. Five stars all the way. Thanks, Scapas for a great lunch experience....it won't be our last, that's for sure.

It was very busy and a 20ish minute wait so make reservations if you can. The spicy spinach salad was great! Really loved it. I also had the New Orleans linguini... It was very tasty but could have used a little bit more pasta. The server, Jesse, was very nice and attentive and it was everything I could have wanted for a nice night out!

Good pizza. Crust could be crisper. If they would add corn meal to cooking surface, pizza crust wouldn't be soft. Try it. You'll see.

Ok, so prices have gone up everywhere, but the size of Scarpa's entrees makes them one of the best deals in town!! Great food, atmosphere and service. $7 glasses of wine, $25 bottles! Can't go wrong! Try the red Chile pasta, or penne alla vodka, or green Chile chx Alfredo, or any of their pizzas. And their salads can feed 4 people! And that torte dessert, best dessert I've ever had, and I eat out a lot!
