A MUST!! 🏖️🐟 🦀 🍤 🦞🦪🍔🏝️ So delicious!! 🤤 😋 💯 Me and my boyfriend had read the reviews about this sweet little seafood shack and the reviews don't do it justice! Wow. The food here was wonderful!! We both got huge plates of shrimp, softshell crab with sides of coleslaw, hush puppies and I had baked beans (which was so so incredibly good) & my boyfriend had fries. I'm telling you - these ladies know what they are doing!! We both ate all of our food and I'm sure licked the plates. Lol. I don't think think you could eat one bad thing at this place. And the ladies that work there are the absolute sweetest! We literally can't wait to come back to Carabelle to eat here again!! Wish we had taken some extra plates to go to take back to TN. If you're wanting some amazing seafood/food in general -- this is the place! Definitely diamond in the rough kinda place. 💎

This place is a MUST! The service was super fast, and everything we had was delicious. The fried shrimp was out of this world! Be sure to bring cash as they don’t take cards.

Crab cakes were amazing! Great service.

Dont waste your time going to Fathoms to eat unseasoned food. This woman loves what she does and is nice as can be! Wish i would have went the first day instead of last day

Good was yummy, enjoyed talking to Beth! She gave us the special for the day, Grouper and shrimp with French fries Cole slaw and hush puppies! Only $20 and was enough for 2 people! Highly recommend!

I love the owner and the food is excellent!

Loved the patio and ambience. It’s like old school seafood joint. Plate of grouper and shrimp so large the bad didn’t want to close. I don’t normally even eat a hush puppy but these had a kind of sweet flavor to them that I liked so much I ended up reheating the second one the next day price for how much food you got was exceptional. I never can decide between fish or shrimp and the specialthat I went was the combination of both so that was perfect

The food is the best in Franklin County. Mrs Beth KNOWS how to cook seafood right. She is friendly and polite, and the prices are affordable.

Fabulous, fresh, friendly and fast!

One of the best meals we’ve had on our “getaway trip”. Def a 5 out of 5 and the lady running it was so delightful. Best be hungry when you go, the portions are HUGE!

This place is the real deal. Order through a window and eat at a table under the canopy. Some of the freshest perfectly prepared seafood you can find. Definitely try the whole fried flounder. Just sensational!

Just tried this gem as we were passing through Carrabelle. We had the fried grouper and shrimp plate and the whole flounder plate. We had green beans, baked beans and slaw for sides. Everything was delicious! Super nice lady waited on is too! Give them a try you won't regret it!

Only bad thing i could say is the crab cakes were rough...everything else was awesome

I would have liked to have given rave reviews about this place. Was in town Monday afternoon. Most seafood restaurants in this town seem to be closed on Mondays .Except this one. Their Google listing said they closed at 6 p.m. I arrived in town a little before 4. Got a room and started searching for a place. Finally seen this one was supposed to be open. Ran into town, stopped by the ATM and grabbed cash. Pulled into their shack at 4:30 and you guessed it....all boarded up. Not sure if they are closed permanently or just on Mondays like most other places here.

Beth is a great cook, prices are good and the food is all local, fresh and plentiful. Local seafood, great service and nice rustic atmosphere.

Delicious fresh fried shrimp and grouper! Enough for two meals! Awesome coleslaw!

They have picnic tables to sit at to eat and their hamburgers are absolutely fabulous.

Best food in town. Grouper was excellent. Fried Shrimp also excellent. Ate there twice in 3 days.Will eat there again.

Don's Travel Tip of the Day: When you're passing through a place called the Forgotten Coast, and you see a roadside restaurant called Seafood Shack that is next door to a seafood market, and the Seafood Shack is pretty much literally a shack, and it is a one-woman cash-only operation run by Karen, the very pleasant sister of the seafood market guy, who takes pride in her cooking and sending customers away happy, and she sings along to 80s music in the background and calls all her customers "Baby", and the family has the only locally owned shrimp boat around... THAT is where you stop for lunch. And THAT is where you get the Seafood Platter, because it's got ALL the tasty fried goodness you need now (oysters, shrimp) and later (grouper, crab cake, scallops) plus fries and hush puppies and cole slaw.

This is a roadside shack/trailer of goodness…a REAL seafood haven…a miracle taste, friendliness and owner that really knows how to cook seafood…located next to her families seafood market (can it get any fresher/better?, NO) B’ serves the roadside dinners that folks talk about for years

My wife and I were on a motorcycle ride today and decided to stop at the Seafood Shack. Quite possibly the best food of its type we've ever had! She had the "Special"; Grouper and fried shrimp. I had the Grouper Po Boy basket. We had slaw, baked beans, and potato salad as sides. These are all made on site and extremely good. We live approximately 110 miles from the Shack and we will be back!

Absolutely amazing food, and the owner/cook was so sweet. Get the seafood platter! I highly recommend this place!

Loved the decor. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. My only little tiny criticism is it's a bit loud. I don't know how they could soften the rooms, but I think some sort of sound dampening would improve things.

We had lunch there today . My husband has seafood plate and I had crabcakes. Excellent food best in Florida. Support this restaurant you'll love it.

We ate on the screened porch which is cooler in October. I had shrimp poor boy which you couldn't pick up as so many many shrimp. Most things are fried. Lots of French fries. Hubs got grilled fish poor boy that he liked. The new server was having issues but we will be back.

The breakfast was amazing. Come early bc they will run out of food. Hard to nail cheese grits, but they did!

Stopped by randomly driving through. You could definitely taste the freshness in the seafood. A pleasant surprise!

Great seafood, plenty portions, and good menu. Seating is limited, and the porch seating is hot in the summer, but food is worth it. Just take cash. No credit cards yet. Hopefully that will change soon.

Husband and I had breakfast. I ordered seafood omelet, he had eggs with bacon and home fries plus an order of biscuits and gravy. Everything came out hot and delicious. There was a young man (Joshua, I think) working there who was friendly and polite. We are going back for dinner tonight and maybe for breakfast tomorrow before we leave. Delicious

We've ate at every restaurant in this town since we have been here On vacation. The Secret Shack is by far the most authentic. With FRESH, Great tasting food!

Unfortunately I was quite disappointed. Got it to go seafood platter special. The french fries taste old. The shrimp is dripping in grease. The breading won’t even stay on it. The closer I was very good. The scallops were over cooked so they were chewy. The hush puppies were good but very greasy.

We love this place the seafood is incredible and the other customers talked about their food that they had specials it was a really fun place to be The only problem they do not take credit cards are debit cards and sometimes we do not travel with cash but other than that it was a really nice place

Teresa is a great waitress! She works very hard to please and does a great job. The food is good and we enjoy eating there on Sundays after church.

The ladies here know how to put together a top notch seafood meal that is sure to fill up even a bottomless pit like me! Props to Laura and Teresa for the great service and fine chow!!! The catfish was deliciously moist and fresh and everything was perfectly fried with a pleasing crisp and no excess grease. Highly recommended!!!

I had a chicken sandwich. It was over cooked and very hard to eat because the edges were rock hard. My husband ate a grilled shrimp salad. There was a good amount of shrimp on it and the salad looked fresh. However, they charge $2.00 extra to grill anything. That was a disappointment since I've never been to a restaurant that upcharged for grilled options. And for a salad that already cost $14.00, that is a big upcharge. Not sure we would go there again because there are other places to eat that have great fresh seafood and don't charge extra for grilling.

Just ordered the shrimp and grouper platter. Loads of delicious shrimp. However, the grouper was overfried, the hush puppies burned, and the Cole Slaw ineatable. The Cole Slaw used to be delicious here...what happened??? Great people who run this place and work there but today's cook was cooking everything rock hard. Please bring the old cook back!!!
