I have been a customer of serenity Moon tea since I was 13 years old, 2006. Mako has knowledge and experience with all things tea care, use and benefits. She is a gem of a human being. If you want something other than Starbucks, and want to be delighted, it is worth a visit if you are an entrepreneur, or novice, she will guide your senses to pleasure! Thank you mako for 17 wonderful years of service. You will always be my tea lady ❤️

I was amazed as soon as I walked through the door. I went straight to the loose leaf tea. So many varieties of teas. I love how you can look at each and every tea, even able to smell the many varieties. As you walk through this very inviting store, which smells delightful, you will get caught up in every aspect this store offers. I did😁 I found the variety of medicinal tea packets ranging from Diabetes to Weight Loss to Headaches and Stomach issues, the list is long. I bought myself a Green Tea with Coconut and homemade Brown sugar Boba. It was so good and refreshing. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a variety of loose leaf tea or just a delicious boba tea. The owner of this store was just wonderful, her smile is infectious and she didn't mind answering all of my questions.

Feels like I can’t do this place justice with just a review, it’s such an amazing experience here every time! The owner is so passionate and knowledgeable about tea, it’s so fun to just come in to talk about the different teas and learn how to brew and everything. Have done multiple tea tastings and will do many more to come! She also makes the best tapioca I’ve ever had in bubble tea, and it’s not even the main reason I go which really says something. This place is a treasure!

Great place! Had a tea tasting and it was really eye opening on what I was missing when brewing tea. It was so fun and she has such a fun personality that made it amazing. Can't wait to come back and explore more tea! Totally ended up buying most of the cups she used during the tasting. Will buy a tea set soon!!

An amazing place and the owner is so friendly!! I really enjoyed the Spicy Chai tea, that I had to go again within the same week. I brought someone else along with me to try this amazing place, and they agreed the Chai tea is really good. I'll be back again to try other "Hot" teas:)!

This is the best bubble tea I have ever had. The tapioca pearls are freshly made. The flavor is delicious. While waiting for my order I browsed the tea blends and was super impressed by the selection, definitely could see coming back for the loose leaf tea alone. The owner is very nice.

The tea tasting I went to here was by far one of the most wonderful experiences and I highly recommend doing one. The owner was not only kind as soon as we walked in but also taught us all about tea in such a fun and engaging way. Every tea we had was AMAZING!! 10/10

Amazing tea and fantastic service.

I love this tea place. Mako has a huge selection and many varieties of tea. She takes the time to educate on the history and tea types. She also offers tea lattes, slushes, and bubble teas. In addition, the shop has beautiful tea sets for sale and tea mixes for different things like loosing weight, energy, cold remedies as well as others. She also does tea tastings which is a very nice way to try different teas and compare before you buy it. I highly recommend this place if you want amazing quality tea. The owner genuinely cares about her clients and takes time to ensure that your happy and educated about your purchase.

Without exaggeration, this is the BEST boba tea I've ever had in my entire life. The experience of even walking in was magical- it's a breathtaking tea shop that offers a huge selection of black, green, red, and white teas along with tea sets. Now for the boba! I had a red bean and my spouse had a jasmine lavender boba tea. The boba pearls are THE perfect texture and the tea itself was indescribably delicious. The owner is wonderful, charming and funny- she is also a master of her craft. Immense respect! She helps you understand the best way to enjoy and get the full depth of flavor from your tea (so please listen to her when you're getting boba 😂). In short and overall, this is the best tea place I've ever been to and this has been only my first visit. I'm becoming a loyal customer and I'm coming back to try everything I can. 🙏🏻✨️

We came in looking for boba tea and stayed for a full tea tasting. We were taught how to properly brew different teas, how to wash, and so many other aspects. I have so much more appreciation for tea and intend to buy all my teas from here. Also grabbed a bubble tea to go, 10/10

2024.06.19 Revisited Serenity Moon Tea and was charmed that the shop still had so many offerings of Chinese tea in stock. Mako is very personable and knowledgeable about her tea and wares. She sets up her customers for success by answering customer inquiries with grace and open communication skills. The tapioca from their bubble tea is on the soft end, but I do like that you can customize your milk, toppings, and sweetness. 2018. Had the oolong bubble tea. My friend got the mango bubble tea. The oolong tea has a very nice floral quality and is very smooth. The tapioca was soft and slightly chewy. I appreciated how knowledgeable the owner was and the vast amount of tea was in the shop. There’s a good amount of tea ware present for sale too. I’d come back again. :)

BOBA BOBA BOBA!! Her Oolong tea, vibes, and shop are amazing. If you haven’t gone here, definitely give it a try. Just being in the shop feels like a breathe of fresh air.

Every time I walk into this cozy shop, the owner Mako welcomes me with a warm smile on her face. I absolutely love going here for fresh tea and boba that she makes from scratch.

This tea shop is amazing! The owner is so nice and welcoming and very knowledgeable. My sister and I did the tea tasting and learned so much about how to brew the tea and the history of Chinese tea. The medicine tea packets she has work so well and helped me fight off a cold so fast. Her boba tea is all hand made and very delicious. The hot boba tea is my favorite. Absolutely love this place and will keep coming here.

Allow me to just say “ I am new here, in Washington “ this wonderful women & her Xiu Xian Tea Shop is like stepping into the Land Of China itself. It gives everything it planned too from the most Grade A Gathered Tea Leaves and Herbs too her absolutely stunning ability in making one of Thee Most Authentic Bobas to remind you of its authenticity down to a science. I have not been to the Land of China but I feel like I have coming to her store. We love it

I'm very happy to call this place a second-kind-of home for me, and to now be able to bring my own family here :)

This shop, its proprietor and the tea all feel like a warm hug on a bitter, cold day. The shop has a wonderful, welcoming and soothing charm. Luckily, I don’t live close or I would spend all of my money here. I recommend the vanilla black tea which is perfect after a long session at Ivy Ink Tattoo, next door.

Pulled off the road to grab a little tea gift for my Step Mom who is in town visiting. Awesome selection and the woman behind the counter was so so kind and helpful. I also ordered a black milk tea with boba- freshest boba I’ve ever had! A truly decadent treat.

Brought my parents here for a tea tasting and we had a wonderful time! The owner is friendly and knowledgeable and gave us a wonderful introduction to the different types and ways of drinking tea. She also makes excellent bubble tea with delicious boba and a variety of flavors! As a lover of tea, this shop also has an excellent and varied selection of loose leaf teas sourced directly from farmers.

This tea shop is awesome. Not only does it have the freshest teas, the lady gives a tea lesson on how the plant is grown and harvested. I learned about the difference between white, green, oolong, and black. Super great experience tasting new teas

What a wonderful experience. I was able to not only taste some wonderful teas, but was taught how to correctly prepare them at home. Atmosphere was cozy and company was very knowledgeable, kind and funny. Purchased two kinds of loose tea and some products to make at home and am sitting comfortably at home, this rainy Washington day, enjoying the Organic Green Jasmine Dragon Pearls. Experienced the tea tasting with a friend today. It was truly interesting as we learned so much about teas. The owner was a wonderful and funny teacher. She had to pause a few times to help the customers that walked in, but my friend and I just chatted while we waited. It was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I am definitely bringing more friends here to do the tea tasting again.

Mako is an incredible human who makes the most delicious and tasty bubble / boba teas! They absolutely changed my life and I am so grateful I came across her cute tea shop! I’ll return many times!

Stopped in with my girlfriend yesterday and was surprised by how much charm this little shop has! The owner is incredibly nice and very passionate about teas. We ended up staying for 2 hours talking to the owner and learning about teas/tasting samples. After our tasting session we ended up buying two different teas, and a little teapot. We also got a bubble tea which was hands down the best one I've ever had. The tea was so full of flavor and perfectly sweetened. Overall we had a great experience, and will be going back soon.

This place is really beautiful and the owner of the shop is very kind! If it’s your first time she’d be glad to help explain what options there are! The first time I went, I got Brown Sugar Bubble Tea (which is pretty popular) and tasted amazing. She does all kind of teas (like tea lattes and simple tea)!!!

Initially found out about here by looking online for nearby tea shops and I am very glad I stopped by. Very high quality and authentic tea. I did the tea tasting and the owner is very knowledgeable on Tea and the culture behind it. I highly recommend here to anyone knowledgeable in tea or even someone brand new.

Best tea shop I've ever been brought to by my boyfriend. He's been going here since he was a child. The tea is handpicked authentically, and shipped straight to this tea shop. The owner is very friendly and gives a warm feeling of the store. She even has taught me the difference in tea notes and flavors that makes them unique! When she makes the bubble tea smoothies it tastes fresh, and the tapioca pearls made then and there. No regular bubble tea place can compare to this shop! You feel the warmest comforting feeling from the tea lady and her presence alone is worth the trip. She fully educates you all about the tea and how to make it and holds tea tastings and classes. She's has a huge variety of flavors of packaged and bubble tea and she uses natural ingredients to make her bubble tea, which tastes amazing! They also sell beautiful tea sets if you have any tea lovers in your family. I highly recommend this place in all areas!!

This shop is perfect for any kind of tea lover! They offer teas to go such as bubble tea/boba (even blended), lattes, or just whatever hot or cold tea your heart desires. But, my personal favorite part is the loose-leaf tea selection and the incredible knowledge and passion of Mako, the owner. She has hundreds of teas that you can smell, and offers tasting that teach you the proper process and brewing for only $5/tea. I took my husband for a date, and we spent a couple hours just exploring the amazing smells and ended up doing a 4-tea tasting. We learned so much and left completely inspired. I wish I could give more stars. I’ll be back soon!!!

if you walk in looking for bubble tea, don't let the main appearance of a boutique tea shop dissuade you, the owner makes great bubble tea as well! and her knowledge of tea def shows there. she also has the softest tapioca I've ever had. she's also very willing to help you customize the flavor and makeup of your tea if you want to change sweetness, dairy amount, etc. if you want a kick in the pants, get the chai and ask her to spice it up ^_^

Quaint Tea Shop. Mako was very friendly and helpful. My best friend and I went there for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. We did a 5 Tea tasting of our choice that we wrote down on a piece of paper provided. It was very educational and eye-opening. Realizing we've been drinking Tea wrong and oversteeping. If you go on a Saturday and want a Tea tasting session, there was a wait, be patient, it was worth the wait. We can see that Mako is very passionate about Tea. She even serves Bubble tea with Boba. We got an iced Matcha tea late with no sugar, add boba. Best tasting boba we've had. We will definitely be back again. Thank you Mako.

Had such a great experience with the tea tasting. We were able to pick any tea we wanted to try. She is very knowledgeable about the process and explains it in such a way where it’s easy to understand. We bought some tea and some boba to finish our visit. She has made new returning, tea drinking customers out of us! Thank you so much!

The owner is so awesome and friendly. She's also super knowledgeable!; Last weekend When me and my partner went in to do a tea tasting, she gave us a whole run down of each tea and the process/art of brewing it as we went! We just went back to try their bubble tea and both the green tea bubble tea and just plain black tea (unsweetened) were really good! (Black tea had a nice subtly sweet aftertaste even without the sugar and they also had oat/almond milk substitutes for those who can't have dairy!)

This is not only a fantastic tea shop, but one of the best businesses I have ever been in. It is owner-run by Mako who is not only fun and knowledgeable, but passionate about the history and subject of tea. What started as a 30-minute trip turned into a 4-hour tea-tasting adventure. During that time, a few repeat customers came in, all very warm and speaking very highly of the business. Mako does a fantastic job not only introducing people to tea as a product, but as an art & science.

I love the Bubble Tea here and best part is there is actual tea that makes you feel good. And also she sells tea bags, tea balls, and tea sets etc… This business has good quality and doesn’t use marketed powder tea. I believe everyone should come and enjoy this business.
