Used to love this place and haven’t been in a while as we live out of town. Was disappointed in the menu change Cups are all dirty And chips and salsa are not complimentary and are $8.. you’d get better food at gallos at more affordable prices. Also no kid/American options for the little picky eaters. We ordered plain buttered shrimp and a side of rice for our son and they tried to charge us $30. For 5 pieces of plain shrimp. And a side of rice. We asked to talk to the manager and he was rude and argumentative but eventually did take $10 off. Never coming back.

Street Tacos were on point...Now ...let's talk about the Salsa...If you are into HEAT...you want the 911 Salsa... Trust me whether it's hot or not you will will love it.. THANKS MIKE😁 the enchiladas were great

This place is great. They have some interesting cocktails on the menu and their food is always as expected.

Went on Sunday for the Sunday Brunch menu. We dined outside, and the ambiance was perfect on that sunny day! The mimosas were good and the food did not disappoint! I'm Mexican, so the food was not the traditional, but indeed very delicious and fulfilling! The pastor rolls were amazing and highly recommended.

the drinks are really expensive, but the atmosphere is amazing and it seems like a really great place to meet with friends and have a good night of drinks. The food is decent, but I think I like another Mexican place in town a little. we got the ribeye tacos and those were amazing but my chimichanga rice and beans were all just a little salty.

So first time there with a group of friends we were place in a awkward spot between the family section and bar section and the food was awesome but 31 dollars for 3 tacos and a beer was insane personally so if you want an expensive night for minimum but yet tasty tacos then go but for me unless be there as a group I won't be going back for a long while.

Love the Tudor location, so I only accidentally went here when I didn’t pay attention to my Maps directions. Thank gosh for Siri’s mistake because this place is fantastic. House or scratch margaritas are amazing, try them both. Excellent service, lovely food. This might be our new favorite Serrano’s location??? It’s causing an identity crisis about what is my go to Mexican spot.

Stopped here with a tour group and was served a buffet lunch. Minimal choices were made available. The crowd easily overwhelmed the staff. It's quite possible that ordering from the menu would result in a different experience.

The service gets worse and worse every time we are here. Waited over an hour for them to take our order. The food is decent, everything else sucks

Food was okay at best. Service and atmosphere awesome! But "Mexican"??? Let's just say they need to get some esses from Texas to come cook.

This place has been my go to spot for a while now, but things have been slowly changing in unfavorable way lately. The food here has always been a great. But recently when ordering a few of the same dishes I've had before, it's either perfect or not so great. It's unfortunate when you have your favorites and it's not as good as you know it can be, apparently it depends on the night. Atmosphere is typically lively and fun with good people. But beware, around 6PM, even on weeknights, the music goes from a 4 to a 12! I still would like to be able to hear my company and not have to yell back. Call me old...whatever! The majority of the staff is super friendly and fun, it can feel like a Cheers atmosphere at times, especially at the bar. Management though, apparently isn't keen on staff stopping by for a quick "hi" to regulars that spend money on a regular basis. With all that said, it's still a 4 star in my book. I just wish the food was consistent with the way I know it can be and management would stop trying to turn it into a nightclub at 6PM. Also, for the love of everything, please lighten up on your staff when they make a quick stop to greet your regulars. We love the service we receive and will come back again and again because it.

Love this place. Always sit at the bar or the bar area and staff is great. Bartender David and others are super friendly and personable, always attentive when a drink or any thing is needed. Other wait staff around the bar, including Hailee and Nick are always on point, never feel the need to waive someone down. Food is great, the rotating specials menus has been a great mix to the already wide menu.

Absolutely fantastic!!! Carne Asada burrito / fajitas style. Homemade beer is damn good too! Great job!

Hot garbage. In the middle of my enchiladas was the biggest concentration of hot peppers. No sauce inside enchiladas. Just tortillas and cheese and absurd hotness. I told the cashier and was just looked at like a nuisance. They are too fast getting the food out, which means they are not putting the quality in food. I had my food in 3 minutes. What oven cooks enchiladas that fast? A microwave.

Food was just ok, Biggest complaint, I am sober and I ordered a seltzer with lime - the server brought me a can of topo chico - it wasn't until after I took a small sip that I saw "hard seltzer" on the can. I didn't order alcohol and yet was served alcohol. That, to me, is a HUGE fail not to mention - possibly illegal. What if I was underage?? It's bad enough that they served an alcoholic alcohol, overall, they clearly have work to do with their service staff. Not impressed.

Friday Nights with DJ Digsista are great! 💃 The food is a hit/miss, depending on the dish. I had the menudo soup, which could have used more menudo; the broth was delicious.

Definitely seemed like a go-to for a lot of people after work. A bit pricey, but you can tell they put in some effort, especially on the smaller dinner menu they give you with the regular large menu. Ribeye tacos were really flavorful, and I enjoyed all of the salsas. Queso was incredibly rich and had a decent kick with the jalapeño. Chips that come with are pretty thick. I'd say the only subjective thing missing was the kind of beer on tap. Seemed overrun with IPAs & Broken Tooth. I ended up trying the only offering from Serrano's & it wasn't too shabby.

We’ve had dinner here several times and their inventive approach to Mexican food is well executed. There are very few vegetarian items, but that’s okay because I could live off the chips and guacamole. The rest of my family orders a variety of the meat-based dishes and they all tell me the food is delicious. House margaritas are pretty amazing too!

I had never been here before, and left disappointed. From when I walked in and sat down to a server coming to greet us, it had been almost 7 mins. After ordering, our food arrived shortly after. I ordered carnival with no Pico de Gallo and recieved plain tortillas with meat, no other garnish, when it was suppose to come with onions and cilantro. The taco meat looked as though it had been soaking in grease and made the tortillas all mushy. After eating, I felt almost sick to my stomach and will probably not be returning.

Me and my girlfriend were riding our electric bikes decided to eat here. From the moment we walked in it was a positive experience. We were greeted relatively quick for how busy is was. Our server briseyda was very polite and attentive. We told her we didn't have alot of time so we would place our orders in as soon as possible if it was ok with her. We didn't wait less then 10 minutes for our food. I was expecting alot longer for how busy it was. The chimichanga was a standout dish, as well as the angelic kiss cocktail. Every single staff member we encountered was kind. I even folded and brought in our electric bikes! 10/10 great restaurant. Ask for Briseyda if possible. She is a great server!

Lied to. The food is fantastic in my opinion. Our hostess took my order for the Cubano, and I was brought a torta by a different waitress. I clarified since she said "torta" and I asked what protein was on it, as it was clearly shredded. She confirmed as much and asked if I wanted to swap it. Forgiving her, since she did not take our order, I said no since I'd had the torta before and I know the food's great. It was unfortunately shortly after the waitress had left that the hostess returned. I hadn't touched the food yet, so when she asked if everything came out okay, I said "Sure, except (gesturing to the waitress) she said this was a torta?", and I expected that, since she asked if everything came out okay, she was hoping I'd noticed and she could take care of what she knew she'd mixed up. Instead, she insisted it was a Cubano and threw the other waitress under the bus as being "young" and "new". I was blown away that our hostess would take such an opportunity where all that was needed was an admission (not even an apology) and a swap and instead chose to demonstrate her character by needlessly speaking ill of the waitress who was willing to take care of the hostess' mistake. The sandwiches are very different, avocado vs jalapeno cheese being one of the more noticeable; but unfortunately for the hostess, I only pick chorizo regardless of which sandwich I order and can therefore very plainly distinguish between roughly ground and shredded meat. Lost my appetite fairly quickly thereafter and we left before the two next to us who'd been having their entree when we came in. The atmosphere was noisy, but mostly due to another party (although the table finishes are chipping and the music is rather booming). I will absolutely still return in future for the Cubano.

As always we left smiling! Hailey takes such good care of us! She remembers our order everytime & is always smiling. Dine in or take out, we know Hailees got us.

Food is good but they’ve really gone overboard with price gouging. I’ve been a loyal customer since 2010 when they were still new and on 36th Ave. $8 for chips and salsa on their new menu…. I won’t do it. The rest of the food and drink is expensive and the chips and salsa should be free like every other Mexican place. Oh yeah, $10 margaritas and it’s a tiny mason jar. It used to be a hidden gem and a great value but unfortunately their ego got too big and so did their menu prices. It was fun while it lasted guys.

Foods great, atmosphere is great, chips and salsa is great, workers are great, everything at Serrano's (if you haven't already discovered) is great. If you like Mexican food, I recommend this place. Also, our server Adrian was really nice and professional. Such an amazing staff

Had the street tacos (carnitas, carne asada, lengua) and although the meat itself tasted good, especially the carne asade, all three tacos were absolutely drenched in oil/grease. This made the tacos unfortunately not very enjoyable and made me slightly sick to my stomach.

Authentic in every way! This was an excellent Saturday find, I enjoyed lunch in their bar area - the staff was friendly, and the restaurant is maintained and inviting! This will be a staple in my dining rotation --- 5 out 5!!

Greeted and let us sit anywhere. Server was quick and polite. Ordered food on a Saturday evening and received food quick. The portion size has gone down and no longer includes sour cream or guacamole. Ordered carne asada burrito and barbcoa chimichanga. Carne Asada was better and highly recommend. I’d recommend the other location over this one but still good.

Really solid food, an extensive drink menu, options for vegetarians (i.e. vegetarian whole beans rather than refried beans with bacon). Loud music and the decor is a bit devoid of personality or warmth. The chips and salsa are really good.

Gone downhill! Overcharged by $100… service took forever. Didn’t bring the chips and guac we ordered. Music was WAY too loud to have a conversation in. They try to make it a Latin nightclub on Fridays and won’t make the things normally on their menu. Yikes.

Wow! 🤩 They hit it out of the park for a delicious dinner. I had a shrimp burrito and my husband had barbacoa enchiladas. Our server was amazing. The atmosphere is rustic elegance. Beautiful

The food here is delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to the quality of ingredients used. Edit: saludos desde Hawaii!! Had an amazing time in Alaska, ESPECIALLY AT THIS RESTAURANT. The owner, the servers, bartenders, all amazing people. I spent mostly the night time here and had the pleasure of enjoying a lot of their after 5 menu. The chicharon Was AMAZING. 10/10 recommend. ordered the Chilaquiles rojos with carne asada and sunny side eggs. I have no complaints. The food was simply delicious. The green salsa has a little spice to it, a good thing, how all salsas should be. I will come here again.i

Had high hopes. Ordered nachos as appetizers and enchiladas. Appetizers came with my main course. Bad start. Appetizers should come before so you have time to eat it. If it doesn't then something is gonna get cold. Nachos not put together well at all. A mess not hot but warm. Mole sauce was way to strong. Hardly taste anything but that. Enchiladas were barely warm. Hot plate barely warm enchiladas hmm. Rice was way to salty and dry. Beans good. Service good. $70 to eat one enchilada out of two, two street tacos (very simple), nachos, two cokes, half glass of wine cause it was bitter. Pretty bad experience. Dissapointed

Wayyy too dark on the restaurant side. They had fake candles but it did not produce enough light to be a comfortable dinner. "Fried ice cream" was like a fried donut with a dollup of ice cream in the middle Prices are already pretty high and they change four percent for using a credit card

Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Waited for more than 30min for them to take my order and only after someone finally came was when I was told that the menu was closed for ordering and was immediately asked to pay. No sincerity in the way they were talking to me either. Don’t recommend.

Loud music impolite servers, and they have premix syrups on the menu. Server walks all around the restaurant taking orders before bringing back credit card. Thanks

The food is great but their “limited” menu after a random time is just okay. It’s not advertised that they do a limited menu so after a hockey game, before 10pm, we came here with the kids. There’s nothing “simple” on the limited menu and the cooks are unable to make a simple quesadilla…meh. I love their full menu tho.

Unique Mexican dishes. I'm used to chips and salsa being free, and they aren't here, but they did have multiple salsa choices. My friend had rib eye tacos, which he enjoyed, but if he didn't order the extra rice and beans, it wasn't enough for a meal. On the flipside, I ordered the shredded chicken chimichanga. It came with rice and beans, which I was not expecting because it already had rice and beans in it. It was too much for me. I left a lot behind. Everything was tasty. The owner or manager came around to make sure everyone was doing well. The place was busy, yet service was good.

Its a lot nicer within than you can guess from the outside. The dishes came quick, nice and delicious.

Me and my husband came in for dinner. My husband orders a beer and has his Id ready for the server to check. He is active duty but is originally from OK he gives his OK drivers license to the server and she says she’ll be right back to have her manager check. Totally get it I’ve been a server for over 5 years now and being up here I’ve seen so many different states due to the military base. She’s gone for awhile a comes back and says her manger is tossing and keeping his drivers license and will not be returning it. He pulls out his military id which has identical info and the server tries taking that one and I calmly tell her no and that her manager needs to come speak with us. The manger bring the his drivers license back and tries explaining how she believe it’s a fake (my husband is 26 years old btw). She points to the symbol in the corner and says it’s not reflective which is why it’s fake. We pull out A flash light and the reflective seal is more in the middle of the Id not the corner. She doesn’t apologize and just tells the server to get him the beer. I’m sorry but I’ve worked as a server/ manager long enough to know this is not how this should operate. If she had the idea it was a fake she as a manger should have came to the table and ask for a second form of identification. Not send her server to say they are keeping it. Then act like we are a inconvenience for saying she was wrong? This is in no way the servers fault or situation to handle. It’s is the managers. Further more their bar should have a book that has every states I’d and what they look like. If they had it never would have been and issue. Every restaurant I’ve worked at has had one. The server apologized more than once but her manger didn’t apologize ever. Matter of fact her manager made it a point to stand by the door as we left and still never apologized. Our server was great she was just doing her job. But management need to adjust how they respond to these Situations. Was really disappointed.

I like the food and the service but the music is always so loud. You can not hear the people in your group to have a conversation. We have asked the owner to lower it. Instead, he turns it up. If you're looking for good food and good service, it's worth it. Just don't expect to have a conversation with the person next to you.

No free chips and salsa. Overpriced mid-tier food. You could get the same meal from Xalos or On The Border for a better deal and larger serving size.

My husband and I went for the first time and we’re impressed with the decor inside along with the food and service. We got the shrimp burrito, margaritas, and asada fries and it was all so tasty! We will definitely be back.

I didn't like it. I'm all for enchiladas. I'm from Texas we have really good Mexican food. Try to find something close to it since I live here and not moving back to my. I did not like how the food tasted not that great started having acid reflux. After reflex before you know that that shyt don't feel good

The servers were very nice and the food was really good. Lengua tacos were the best o have had since leaving California! Molcajete salsa was my favorite, but you could tell all the salsa, sides, and tortillas were made fresh!

Food was fair. Chips and salsa extra money, everything is extra except aunties. While we ate I was sitting on a chair made of aluminum. Scooted chair back as we were done eating and the leg folded and down I went to the floor. The restaurant went silent, no music, no chatter , nothing. Hurt my thumb and feelings. Don't want to go back until they ( restaurant ) get rid of cheep dining table chairs.

Best Mexican food in Alaska easily. Not the Tudor location, cause you will get sick or food poisoning (I have twice there never again) but downtown one is the best in Alaska , you gonna be happy for sure.

My wife I had a great dining experience here. While I wouldn't say it's the best Mexican restaurant in town, it's definitely up there. The staff was excellent and the food was delicious.

Best oysters in Alaska. Get the oyster serrano zarrandeando style, grilled and topped with just the right amount of spice. Perfect.

Service was terribly slow. Drinks were mixed up. Nobody visited our table. Bill was never brought. Needed to wander the restaurant to find out server.

We were super hopeful that Serranos had great Mexican food, but it was the opposite. First off the food is kinda expensive, especially for not having complementary chips and salsa. Our food came out really quick which is a concern because that typically means everything is pre-made, which you could definitely tell with the taste it was all pre-made. If I’m spending that much money I would expect my food to be fresh at the very least. Super disappointed. Other than that the atmosphere is beautiful.

Services was a little slow, drinks were not refilled and 911 sauce was a flat zero. Could use a friendly service to check up on things knowing tip is already part of the bill.
