I loved the place. The service and the food was amazing.

Excellent service! I found the food to be extremely disappointing for the price point, I didn’t find any of the dishes too be offensive or gross but I found everything to be relatively bland and unexciting. I would not recommend this establishment to friends or family!

Our service was absolutely amazing! We celebrated our anniversary and Tyler (our waiter) and our bartenders Zac and Jordan were incredible! Can't say enough good things about Shabu!

Good quality sushi. Drinks were nice. Had an excellent waitress. Unfortunately one of the sushi chefs wearing a ball cap became aggressive when I calmly and politely alerted staff to a wobbly bar stool. He rudely asserted the floor was uneven and that I was in the wrong. Acting like a tough guy towards a paying customer probably isn’t the best way to run a business.

This is a totally Overpriced restaurant. The ribs, we’re going to be ready at 10 pm! Food lacking, fried rice not as good as a supermarket, sushi terrible. Would recommend you stay away from this place. TOTALLY OVERPRICED. Terrible!

If you’re going to Park City, eat here! The food was absolutely amazing. We started with 3 appetizers, green beans, bao buns and the half and half hot rock. All were AMAZING. We shared the duck confit fried rice to finish. Chef’s kiss! The staff was very attentive and I could tell it was a team environment. Will definitely be back!

Went at 6:30 & the place was packed. Great atmosphere, a happening place. We enjoyed the blistered green beans/shishito peppers & Aloha Roll. Good food, good service.

Shabu is a typical Park City restaurant: overpriced, mediocre food, and aloof staff. We ordered rolls, ramen, and a few appetizers. Our waiter was very distracted, possibly stoned, and treated us like an annoyance. It is worth noting that the manager tried to redeem our dining experience; she was friendly and professional. If you want expensive Asian fare and sushi, I'd suggest Yuki down the street. Better tasting and more affordable options are Kuchu Shabu at Canyons Resort or the sushi bar at Whole Foods.

We loved Shabu! It was delicious and exceeded my expectations. Although it was a little loud for me, the food, service, and atmosphere was so good that it was exceptional! We can't wait to go back.

Zac the bartender is on point! Jordan the server is also on point! Honestly Shabu is on point! No better restaurant on main Street Park City than this one!

Ordered sushi and it was completely falling apart. The rolls looked nothing like sushi we’ve had before. There was very little fish and not worth the price you pay. The server was not very friendly and felt rushed even though it was empty. Seriously over priced extremely small portions.

The server Matty seemed like it was a burden to wait on us. They would not split the check by what each couple ordered, brought one dish before the others were ready and was flipped when questioned. The food was ok but if you want to be treated like it’s a favor to wait on you then this is the place.

I was very excited to try Shabu, and left disappointed. The dishes are each great ideas and concepts, but each is missing some key component to really be enjoyed. We had a male waiter who skipped pleasantries and seemed rushed,and another female waitress who was incredibly friendly and polite (maybe to compensate for her colleague). The space is well lit but very loud.

The food is amazing. We always order the Wagyu on the Hot Rock. We also had the Gyoza. Service and Staff are always on point and never disappoint

Unique atmosphere as you walk downstairs to a dark, narrow Asian inspired restaurant. The decor has a very Park City vibe, especially in the bathroom. The sushi options are fresh and presented well. It's the best sushi in the area but it's also very expensive.

We went to this place for the last day of the season and it was the worst experience we have had in a restaurant. It's a sushi place and even though we had made a reservation, they waited until we got there to tell us they were out of fish. Then, food was just ok, took forever to get service and and 15 min to get the tab since our server never came back. When we finally found her she was so drunk, she gave swipe the credit card on the wrong tab twice. Thankfully, there was one sober guy, Tyler, who was able to help. Maybe it's different during the busy season.

Nothing good to say about this place. The Japanese wagyu steak hot rock was mediocre at best. It’s a cheap cut of steak and the butter was awful. The Komodo dragon roll was just all together awful. I had sushi at the supermarket 2 days ago that was better. The Korean BBQ tacos were good and the best thing we had. The duck fried rice was solid but nothing special. Service was just ok but the worst part was they only had reservations available at 5:30. I did not want to eat that early. We were there til 7pm and the place was literally empty. At least 12 open tables which is a lot for a small place. Would never come here again. For a $200 tab there are much better choices.

The food is awesome but they’re more interested in closing down and going home than serving you so in the middle of their service decide that they want to stop serving you and work on Closing down the restaurant. Their bar closes in the middle of your dinner and they start cleaning up in front of you by stacking chairs while you’re sitting down eating. If the restaurant wants to close at 9 o’clock they probably shouldn’t let any people in after 7 o’clock. It’s really too bad because the place could be really great since it’s on the mountain and fantastic but they’re more interested in doing what’s best for them than serving their customer base

Besides sitting us 30 minutes later than our reservation bc it was so crowded, the service and food were great. Kids really liked it. Lots of energy. Delicious sushi, ramen and fun drinks for kids. Dessert was also very good. A fun family spot.

Extremely smoky. Really crowded. Kids were uncomfortable with the smoke. Service is negligible. Food portions are ridiculously small. Food overall is good. Not likely to return

The food is amazing! Best green beans and peppers I've ever had. We also loved the yellowtail and the hot rock waygu. Tried the hot pot and it was the perfect heat level to warm your bones after a day on the mountain (we ordered a second one!).

The first thing that hits you as you walk downstairs to the basement restaurant is the smoky air, as if something was burning in the kitchen. The second thing is that it’s so crowded in there that you have to move tables to squeeze into the seats. Once you finally feel settled, the sushi and Asian flavors are interesting but they rush you through the meal as they turn tables at least 3-4 times a night. It turns out the smokiness is from the table top steak cooking on a hot stone. It’s fun but my asthmatic child had trouble breathing through the whole meal. I would not go back as it was just too crowded and uncomfortable. Clearly I’m alone in this review as the restaurant was packed but this is how I felt.

Sat at the bar, Tim and the crew where very engaging in what we liked, were interested in, and did a very good job of matching our likes to what they have, and not trying to over serve. The 2 ladies working front end were great. And the Owner was kind enough for a quick accommodation. Firecracker Shrimp was quite an excellent start, they made it a nice stand out dish. Ocean Trout and Hamachi were also tasty

I can't say enough about Shabu! Not our first visit yet I continue to be impressed at every turn. Aimee, our server Nick, and the entire staff here shine. So attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient. Absolutely delicious food served with great presentation and speed. Some of our favorite staples are the wagyu served with the hot rock for searing. The blistered green beans, sushi, noodles, and even the delicious salads. It's a must visit while in Park city. Get a reservation early as this place is on everyone's radar! We will absolutely visit and recommend any chance we get!!

Upscale, but a great atmosphere. Small, intimate. Good food. Shareable. The service wasn't completely great, but it was fine. They were busy for the evening.

Ate here with a group of 14 on my bachelorette. Amazing vibes, great food, great service. Would highly recommend. If you don’t like loud restaurants this is definitely not the place for you. If you do - hear on over!

This was our second time and still our favorite place when we come to Park City Food is awesome, the workers are all a cohesive unit from the chef to front desk. Great vibe very eclectic but wholesome food choices no matter your preference. We didn't get sushi but menu looks excellent as well

We sat directly in front of the chef and it was so fun. We had stone wagyu and a lot of sushi. Everything tasted very fresh and service was fast. Will definelty go next time in town.

They have good food and it is a good expeirence. Wagyu beef hot rock is something I'd try again.

The most amazing food. Best place to eat in Park City. Noisy and fast moving but the food is worth it. Best choices we made - wagyu beef on hot stone and black cod. Awesome. But you need to book well in advance.

The hot rock wagyu beef is a must at this place. The American Wagyu is only $35, is a steal! We also got the hot pot, ok is not really a "hot pot" 😅but it does come with a generous amount of scallops and shrimps 🦐 so no complaints. The rolls are average but this is not a traditional sushi place so I can't expect too much. Overall like the ambiance and good food.

Disappointing…Avocado Rolls were a joke…contained a paper-thin slice of avocado, so was basically just eating a ball of rice. At $10 per roll, that’s pretty absurd.

This place is so fun! Such a fun and friendly environment. The hot rock is a bit pricy, but if you're picky about your beef you will be very pleased! Our table of 8 all enjoyed our dishes. Thank you!!

I wanted to love this restaurant. I had heard great things. It was so crowded. You will be elbow to elbow with the table next to you. The noise level is beyond loud. I’m used to crowded places and fun vibes but people were screaming and it was just horrible as far as acoustics. The food is just ok. I was happy when dinner was over for sure. Also the prices being jacked up for Sundance was not ok. A $47 rice dish is just insane.

Very interesting and eclectic restaurant. The food was good but nothing remarkable in terms of sushi. Good cocktail menu and other drink options. The ambiance is very, very loud and very crowded. If you are looking for a more relaxed spot where you can carry a conversation do not go here.

We love Shabu… it’s a must every time we come to Park City from Arizona. The hostess (Nia?) was nice enough to accommodate us this trip and the food is the absolute best, the drinks are delicious and Matty, our server, was incredible. Kevin, the owner, does a great job! We will be back in February!

Very good experience, however, they need to work on the ventilation system. The smoke off the beef hot rock was dense at times.

Tim was our server. He treated us well, answered all of our questions, and made great recommendations (especially the bacon wrapped dates). The food was great, the energy was high, and the hostesses were very welcoming. It’s a very small restaurant, but that only adds to experience. Be sure to make a reservation, it’s worth it.

The staff was awesome in getting us in for dinner service by having us put our name on a waiting list for two. Once our time came up, we were notified and called that it was our time to sit. Once in, our server Kurt informed us on how it all worked. We also allowed Kurt to make recommendations. All the food was awesome. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. Only five stars is not enough, they exceeded all expectations.

Great place. Hard to get a reservation but we go there every trip to Park City. One of the best!

Yummy food. Small restaurant with cozy atmosphere. One downside is that it is very busy so food can take a bit of time. They seemed short-staffed the night we were there as sushi chef was also our waiter, so it was a bit of a wait.

This is our favorite and a must when we come to Park City. Fun atmosphere and the food is always delicious! The staff is always very attentive.

Shabu never disappoints. Love sitting at the bar and enjoying the “extra” conversation (and even some extra nigiri!) from the wonderful sushi chefs. This was our first time ordering the fried rice in addition the wonderful sushi rolls and might be the best fried rice ever. :)

The place was really cool and laid back. The decor is very interesting and unique. They had some great in house cocktails and the Sake was awesome! Sushi was ok and Firecracker shrimp were very good. You got to check it out just for the ambience!

The food was wonderful. Blacken Cod and Fire Shrimp perfect. The atmosphere is very noisy, and patrons sit in such close proximity, impossible to talk without raising your voice.

Food was great, sushi was not. Sushi rice was hard and some of the sashimi had a weird smell. We spent $500 for an alright experience.

The tables are super close if that makes you uncomfortable. The food comes out super fast as well if you are in a hurry, but if you want a dining experience it is awkward because the tables are so small. Food is great, service is good. The busser dude was the best part of the experience, as he helped us get everything we needed.

We got the lucky high top closest to the sushi bar- so full attention of the very talented sushi chef (Tim I think). He made up a special roll after I described my faves, also had bartender do a custom sake flight of all filtered. Great night in PC!

The food was sensational. The black miso cod was some of the best we’ve ever had. The pork bao was incredible. The drinks were great as well. The service was good. Our entrees and appetizers came out pretty fast. Overall this dining experience deserves a 10/10. Highly recommend.
