Showmars never disappoints. Food and service is the best among casual dining restaurants.

Always good food fast at a good price in a great, friendly way! Loved the addition of the "mini" plates. Perfect for a lunch size order and very budget-friendly.

The chicken tenders are different. Darker, crisper coating. I personally like the original version

Just moved back after 9 years away. Showmars is still as good as ever. I like the new (to me) large electronic menus in the store. The classic favorites are still here( chicken pita, Greek salad, etc). Many family memories of going here for a decently priced and hearty meal. Sure maybe I wish the prices were a little lower, but this place is the CFA of fast casual creek food. The service is always excellent, food tastes fresh, and they even use real plates/silverware (better for the environment?). Been going here since I was a kid in the 90s. Went to school with the niece of the founder. Showmars is very much a part of the fabric of this community and I'm glad it's still going strong. I hope it never leaves.

I haven't been here in 20 years but my 16-year-old granddaughter talked me into eating lunch here yesterday. You order your food at the front and they give you a number, then bring your food to the table. The service was pretty fast and folks friendly. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich with fries and they were both smoking hot and very good. We ended up paying about $15 each. Oh, and they have someone regularly walking around to see if you need anything else and refilling your drinks for you. I'll be back!

Great service. I needed to use the restroom so I left my sweater and drink on the table. I covered the drink with a napkin. When I returned my drink had been removed. I asked the young lady waiting the tables did she remove my drink. She said no problem. Then she kindly replaced it.

1st experience. Excellent across the board. Fresh Greek Salad with probably one of the best tasting salmon fillets over the top. Great service, pleasant atmosphere, nice attitudes from all the staff.

Got the tenders w/ fries, hush puppies, and slaw, really good, would go again. A small scuffle happened, but other than that, good atmosphere

Had the cactus chili and Greek salad, sweet tea. Very good food. Noticed a few tiny ants in the window ledge.

The fish was not seasoned at all. The waitress and cashier were very nice however the food just wasn't good.

There's good and bad here. The customer service is really bad as I've had 2-3 emails go ignored when I've had big problems over the years. Some of the food is done really well (burgers), and others like the BBQ is absolutely disgusting. It's good for a quick meal if you get something simple.

The service and caring manager here makes the young staff better than most chsin restaurants.

Incredible food! Such a fresh & flavorful taste, everything they have is so good. Even the French fries are somehow just amazing. The pasta salad is one of my favorites along with their Chicken Santorini platter & pitas! The waitresses are always there to refill your drinks & clear plates, very clean & fast service.

I do curbside alot for salads and one of the salads is always wrong. I even look on the receipt and it's right on the receipt..it's like they just throw them together. The taste is good but why am I picking stuff off I purposely requested off???

It's Showmars and the staff at the front where pleasant and welcoming. The place was crowded but the service was fast. I have to add this to my regular routine once a week. I got their famous fish sandwich which was tasty. 💜

Group order today through DoorDash was canceled. Group order on May 2nd was canceled as well. Do not order here. They refuse to process Group orders.

None of the shrimp are deveined. You are serving fish poop. Had to throw it all out. Very disappointed.

Ordered online, great takeout experience, the food was high quality and delicious at a reasonable price. We ordered the large Pita Burger, onion rings and the regular Flounder Platter with crinkle fries and slaw, all fresh and delicious.

The chicken souvlaki platter was all-encompassing fulfilling and delicious. I was happy that you were still providing a fresh meal that late in the evening (because some restaurants microwave food), and I still had enough to take to work the next day (but wished I had more), and still tasted delicious. Your staff, especially the desk staffer that took my order, were wonderful to interact with (especially when you just want to go home, eat, do no exercise, and sleep). Thank you for the great transition!

I had the southern fried chicken sandwich. I never had a chicken sandwich so tender, and with so much chicken. The staff was so nice always making sure your visit was enjoyable by stopping by to see if you needed anything. Very clean , also staff looked like they enjoyed working there , lots of smiles and made you feel welcomed. Job well done to everyone!!!

My co-workers and I love to eat here. My go to is the shrimp calabash or the chicken finger platter. Super delicious, highly recommended, prices are very reasonable and quality of the food is superb!

I love how their flounder and shrimp platter is my favorite, but I can substitute flounder for the White Alaskan with no sur charge! It's always fried perfectly, and it's still hot when I get it home!!

It's been years since I was here. What a great spot for a quick lunch. When you place an order in advance, you are given a number and the meal is brought to your table. Staff members were stopping by the table to check on us and replenish our drinks. Without a doubt, I'll be returning.

On a Sunday afternoon, I wasn't expecting to have to listen to a Britney Spears concert (at least 5 songs in a row) followed by a completely inappropriate song with curse words and bad messaging. Great for a Sunday afternoon family crowd!! I'm thinking this atmosphere is not something I'm interested in in the future.

Always consistent, hence my frequent visits. Never had any issues with this Showmar’s in Pineville.

Showmars has good food. I got chicken tenders and fries. The tenders are nice, crispy and flavorful.

I really like this place! Now, I have only tried two items, and every time I pass by, I stop for it. The Greek salad and a large bowl of the cactus chili. Sometimes, I add the salmon to the salad. Yes, I have the chili even when it is 90 degrees outside!. One day, I will get to the rest of the menu. Lol. The staff is always polite.

Clean, friendly, lighting was just right, atmosphere was just right, food was good. Just ask them to add a bit more flavoring to any grilled chicken dish and you'll be very happy with the flavor!

First time having Showmars, and it was great! Was recommended by some classmates, and they did not disappoint. So many options. Will definitely going again whenever I'm in the Charlotte/Matthews area.

All the wrong toppings were on the pickup order. Manager would not credit my order and wanted us to bring back the order and exchange it. Credit should have been issued for there mistake. Food was cold. Don't waste your time at this Showmars. Food is horrible!!!

I placed an order for pickup. Food was not that good. The dish I get usually comes with sauce and I order extra for a price. They ahorted me on the sauces and their food gave me the runs. I will not come back. Also the size has decrease a lot.

This place is always super fast - like race you to your table fast. Only detraction for me personally is the TV screens

Only reason for 4 stars is parking. Main parking in front of restaurant is reserved for take out, Uber eats, etc. we sat by the window and numerous cars had to turn around and park behind the restaurant. Customers who take their time and actually eat at the restaurant should be parking in front. Plus individuals who may have difficulty walking but is not handicapped have to park in the rear. Restaurant show reconsider there parking situation.

This review is late & for my first visit on Tuesday, 11-1-22. There was a promo for forty cent fish sandwiches. I planned to get it to go, but I did not realize the special price was for dine in only. That turned into a dine on lunch. I also ordered a side of zucchini and squash and baklava. The biggest issue was the parking. I had to wait a few minutes before a space became available. It's not pictured but I returned in August 2023 to try the spicy fish sandwich. I was thinking it was different; it was the same fish sandwich with a little sauce that was supposed to be spicy. It wasn't too spicy to me. I also tried the baklava cheesecake. I may edit this review if I find the picture. It was ok but I probably wouldn't order it again. Customer service seemed to be better at the downtown location.

A fish sandwich at McDonald's is much-much better tasting than the Flounder Fillets at this Shomars. The fish was very dry and had texture of cardboard. Half of the dinning area booths were taped off with yellow CAUTION tape. This gave an unwelcoming look and atmosphere.

Food, service and value is excellent! Everyone is very cordial, and helpful. Only thing that needs improvement is perhaps having a more modern and clean look and feel to the dining room area! We will be back!

I visit here about once a week because the food is excellent, and the staff is always friendly. I usually order either the Gyro Platter, or the Flounder dinner (3pc). The Pita Burgers are delicious as well! Been coming here for over 30 yrs and it never disappoints.

I was impressed with the overall dining experience at the Showmars location in Matthews. I got the spicy fish sandwich with chz meal with fries n lemonade. The food was hot n fresh and the customer service was outstanding. I wouldn't hesitate to stop by again.

We eat at Showmar’s at least once a week but sometimes more often. Their food is delicious & the variety is important for our family. We love the flounder & shrimp plate, the Greek salad is my favorite & the new Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich is the best in town!

Nobody came to see if we needed refills or how we liked the food. They were not busy at all. But the fish and shrimp were hot and delicious.

Son, granddaughter, and I had a pleasant lunch.

We decided to go Showmars for mother's day we didn't really feel like fighting the crowds at all the chain restaurant. I went with my brother Mark my Mom my fiance' my 2 newphews & my daughter. The place was almost empty so we walked right in and ordered took about 5mins. The girl at the counter was very pleasant took our order with no issues everything was correct & then we went and sat down. The place was nice and clean inside and out also, it looked very organized and was very warm and inviting. The food came out in about 10mins it was hot and fresh and looked very appetizing! Everything was cooked perfectly all the food came out correct and we just really had a good time and enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely be back again and I highly recommend for anybody to try this place you won't be disappointed.

We've been visiting this location for a very long time with mostly great experiences. However, this particular day, we (as usual) requested something very simple, a few cups of courtesy ice as we need it for personal/medical reasons. 👉🏼 When we arrived to pickup our online order, we were told that the manager on duty, Waldo, refused to serve us the courtesy cups of ice as normal and that we would have to pay for any additional cups requested. 😯 🙁 We informed the server that this was not the normal process and that we've always been greeted and served the courtesy cups of ice. She said her manager would not let her provide them for us for free. 🤷‍♂️ For something so simple, this should not have become an inconvenience given the circumstance. We suggest that the manage on duty show more care and concern for their visitors needs. Our recommendation: Visit a different showmars when Waldo is on duty because you may be rejected service for whatever reason he deems so.

I have been patronizing Showmars for quite some time now and recently had my worst experience ever when one of their young employees lied to my face that my order was correct. I regrettably took her word for it after briefly looking into my bag only to find out that the side salad that I paid for, tarter sauce, and plastic utensils were not there after arriving at the hospital to visit an elderly friend whom I treated to their burger. I do not consider it a mistake when you tell a blatant lie which leads me to believe that they are capable of other negatives concerning their food and my order. Hopefully management will press the staff to check and double check orders before they hand them over to their patrons.

It's been about 10 years since I've been to a Showmars - I forgot how great they are. I ate the Mushroom n Cheddar Pita Burger without the mushrooms. Consistency is key for a business and Showmars shines here - as good as I remember them a decade ago.

Thank goodness for the staff at this location. They have totally restored my respect for Showmars. They’re polite and offer great customer service unlike the Providence location.
