Customer service was TOP NOTCH. The staff was very friendly, patient, and accommodating. We (the kids) took forever to decide what they want to eat. The place was very clean and the decor is beautiful. Not to mention, but we all enjoyed our food. mmmm mmmm

Best shrimp in jax imo. Beach blvd store is closed for remodeling. Had to drive to orange park for some. Definitely worth the drive.

So disappointed with Shrimp Shack today. Staff were very courteous, and helpful. Only problem was the cook with a full hang down not covered beard. Placed a takeout order about 4:20 PM today. Ordered shrimp, baked potato, and cole slaw. The shrimp were so overcooked. Tough and dry. Potato was burned on bottom, dark throughout, would not “fluff” up, dry like it had been cooked days ago. Ruined the Shrimp Shack for me.; and I usually go there every couple of weeks.

New to JAX...this is a Go-To for me. I love their shrimp (30 piece) and cheese grits (for my sides).

Ordered 2 times 30 piece shrimp dinner, you pay upfront, you also have to pay tip right then, that's wrong, you don't even know how their service is. One meal had 28 shrimp the other 27 shrimp

This shrimp shack is always good. The food is always hot and fresh.

Leaving a bad review only because of "policy" for Tuesdays. Ummm, because you're serving a larger portion of shrimp at....SHRIMPshack we were told we would have to come in to order our children the chicken strips LOL! So, if you are disabled like myself, and it takes effort to get in and out of the vehicle make sure not to go on a Tuesday! They don't care if you're disabled and cannot come inside. So, with cars behind and in front of us, we were stuck either way. They can literally take the order for shrimp through the drive thru, but not chicken strips. As I've said many times before, you'd think we are improving/progressing as a society but we are truly going backwards. The silliest policy I've ever seen.

I wish I would’ve taken a picture of our food! My and I hubby came last week for the first time based off google reviews. I had the classic fried shrimp with fries and coleslaw. Hubby ordered the sampler with fries and grits. We also got fried pickles. Our food was tasty, seasoned well, and very fresh! The hush puppies were fantastic!! The fries were also good. I wasn’t a fan of the coleslaw, wasn’t bad just not my favorite. The grits were creamy and good, and we loved the fried pickles! We will definitely be back again!

I give the shrimp shack 5 stars for the hushpuppies. I always get an extra side.

I got the 30 piece shrimp special, was definitely pleased.

First time eating here after work for dinner. Tiny shrimp portion was good & piping hot but sandwich was alright. Could use a little mayo or aioli.. I'd probably try a different dish next. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant was clean & well maintained.

Loved the shrimp, and Tuesday/ Thursday it's $13.99 for 30 shrimp and 2 sides. Quite the bargain these days. Just gave 3 stars for atmosphere because it's just like most fast food places.

I tried Shrimp Shack today for the 1st time. I'm not a huge fish person and my son doesn't like fish at all. I like shrimp but I'm pretty basic. I had a shrimp po boy and it was awesome. Service and people there were great. Definitely happy I stopped in

The special on Tuesday and Thursday is really big. The shrimp is a little salty, but you get enough for two meals. The cheese grits and coleslaw are really good.

You can't order all of the menu items from the drive thru on Tuesday This is infuriating every time I go to get dinner on Tuesday night. Because I then have to park in a parking lot. That is full because it's Tuesday night but if I don't park. Or find a place to park, then I can't get the food I want

Stopped in for a quick lunch break. Can't brag enough about it. The best seafood I've had in a long time. The atmosphere was clean and inviting. The staff were well mannered and presented themselves well. The food was absolutely delicious and I didn't have to wait for forever and the portions were very big. Simple menu, easy to understand with plenty of options. If I'm around again I will definitely be back! Great job guys!

The problem has always been the service. I've never taken the time to write a review because we really like the place. Today took the cake though. We ordered the catfish and shrimp combo and asked for grilled shrimp and fried catfish. In which the cashier did not object. It wasn't until the same cashier brought our food out that everything was grilled and I told her what it was supposed to be, she said your right, I'm sorry I'll fix it. TWO seconds later the manager brings the same plate out asking what the problem was and that it all has to be the same (all fried or grilled). Ma'am YOUR cashier failed to explain that. She asked how I wanted the shrimp and I asked for grilled, she then asked about the catfish explaining to me that it's 4 pieces of fried because they are cut in half versus if grilled it'll be 2 full filets!! I choose fried and paid. Instead of trying to remedy the very small problem the manager took me back to the register where she THREW the entire plate in the TRASH and made a face a comment to the kitchen and the ln proceeded to change me more to fix THEIR mistake! Where do they do that at!! So Instead, I choose to just get the fried catfish under favorites for my son and cancel the additional side of shrimp. She had the audacity to smirk because she now owed me a refund. What a joke!

Usually I will give this a ten plus however today the bread was a little mealy and I think it was because so many people were there that they had it prepared in advance

Where have you been all my life Shrimp Shack?!?? It was my first visit today and I happened upon the Tuesday Shrimp Special (which I split with my mother because it was so much food there was no way I could finish it solo). Even though I live in St Augustine, I'd make a special trip just for their shrimp. Probably the best I've ever eaten. Seriously. So tender, had that perfect snap when you bit into them, perfectly battered and not over cooked. Will be coming back soon!! 10/10 on the shrimp!!

A place you will go back to many times. The "loaded" shrimp Tacos were fantastic and better than many others I have had in the past. Price is decent and discounts are offered on 2 different days a week.

The cheese grits are the best! Love the coconut shrimp and the grilled shrimp.

Great place to grab some seafood after lunchtime and except on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The prices are a little high but the food is absolutely amazing. I would recommend going for lunch on Tuesday Tuesday and Thursday to get their 30 piece. Shrimp deal is absolutely worth it. Can’t say enough about the food and the service. And no matter what you have to get a side of the bang bang sauce. By far probably one of the best I have had.

Fast meal before the show! Worked out nicely in and out and off to the show. Great hand breaded and grilled shrimp. Very good cole slaw and green beans.

UPDATE 2/9. Thank you for making it right! Updated pics attached as well. I like writing good reviews for good service and food but every once in a while the situation calls for the ugly truth. My husband and I went to the Shrimp Shack on Blanding Monday night. We placed an order for food and one of the items was the 30 piece shrimp tossed in Bam. Of course there is an upcharge to have it tossed in the Bam. Upon leaving we were walking out the door and were called back because they wanted to double check we had all of our items. Sure enough they were missing a meal. They added the meal and off we went. We arrived home 20 minutes later opened our containers and there was no Bam on the shrimp. I reviewed my receipt which included the upcharge for Bam. I called the store and waited on hold for 5 minutes no one picked up the phone. (My guess is because it was close to closing time). I called again and after the prompts spoke to I believe Marge or Margie. I apologize if the name is wrong because the next comment from this person sent me over the edge. She asked that I send a picture of the shrimp to prove there was no Bam. Now my husband had started to eat because he was hungry but I took a picture of the shrimp. I sent the picture and waited for the young lady to plug in her phone because the battery was dying and she could not view the picture. After a few minutes she came back and said she is sure the order had Bam on it and we must have eaten the shrimp on the top with the Bam. I could not have been more insulted at this remark. We offered to go back to the store and bring the food but they of course were close to closing. We were told the GM will need to view the footage to determine if the order did indeed have Bam on it. We both stopped eating our food and packed it up. We will be there in the morning with all of the food and containers from our order to meet with the GM. I can not believe we were even asked to send the picture and then we're accused of lying and eating the Bam off the top. It will be interesting to see how the GM handles this situation. We may have to look for another place to replace Shrimp Shack. I hope they do the right thing when they see there is no indication at all of there being Bam sauce on the shrimp, the food container or the paper liner in which the shrimp was on. UPDATE - Upon return to the store an apology was given to us and an offer to remake our entire food order at no charge. Review being changed from 1 - 4. My family does enjoy the food and we look forward to better service in the future.

First time eating here. It did not disappoint. People are nice, clean tables and bathroom. Everything hot and tasted delicious.

Oh my. I wasn't expecting fresh seafood cooked to a Juicy perfection. Then the staff was absolutely fantastic! No joke, they were better than your upper end 4-5 star date night restaurants. And the food was just as good or better! Now I understand why they have the highest reviews of seafood in Jacksonville and Clay County. As a first timer, Margie helped me order. You can get your fish fried, blackened or grilled. I ordered the Swai and shrimp fried.. AMAZING! I asked for bread on the side to make a fish sandwich, Margie brought me a whole setup. Order in and get full service at your table. They brought my food, condiments anything. Just raise your hand. For $20 I got enough fish to make 2 meals. A fish sandwich, shrimp snack and some leftovers. Those cheese grits are well seasoned and straight 🔥. The sweet coleslaw, like my auntie used to make. Free drink refills too! I'm frequent just restaurant regularly I've never got a bad meal shrimps always good baked potatoes always good atmospheres always good service is great people are friendly and some of the best french fries I've ever tasted. This is a must for seafood lovers.

Really good food and people plus if you are a shrimp lover Tuesday and Thursdays they have a 30 piece shrimp with 2 side for 13.99 man these are not those small popcorn shrimp they are nice size and the sides are delicious as well go give them a try you won't regret it 😋 now the only down side is you better count your shrimp because on several occasions they have short me shrimp the first time it was 3 second time it was 5 the third time it was 4 and the forth time it was 4 again now this last visit it was 9 now I am not trying to be petty but they set their prices and if I am paying for 30 I expect to get 30 so if you add all the ones I was missing it's 25 shrimp I paid for but didn't get other than that the service and people are on point very polite and the food again is VERY GOOD

this place is awful. their hush puppies were gross, their fish showed up in pieces, the shrimp and fried pickles are about 50% breading. the kens tartar sauce is an abomination. 70 effing dollars i paid to lose my appetite. I'll never be back here. oh, and please clean your fryer. I can taste the yesterday on the fries. came back to add that the picture for the restaurant on uber eats shows half a crab. they dont serve crab here with the exception of crab bites? why would they put that in their uber pic? and I saw the other reviews about the tuesday special and the no signage. what a joke.
