If I could give a rating of 10 I would. The food is very good quality, reasonably priced and our server Naomi was so kind, professional and really aimed to please us! She made our day! She was attentive to everyone including the youngest member of our party who enjoyed every bite and lick of his acai berry bowl! Thanks Naomi for sharing your beautiful smile and sweet disposition with us! Cheers!!!

Wonderful local spot with delicious food! Great selection of healthy items from desserts, smoothies, wraps and wine! Enjoyed a cup of Java and the Big Ben breakfast skillet. The Somoa cookies were delicious and paired perfectly with the coffee. Our server Renee was the best, taking care of us. Will be back!

If you like chai tea latte, it’s the place to go to! Made with real tea, not powder or syrup 😉

Happy a friend suggested Simon's! Though I have lived in Sarasota for a long time, I hadn't heard of this wonderful coffeeshop/restaurant. Told they don't advertise beyond donating to schools and word of mouth. The vegan and vegetarian options were tasty and filling, the coffee excellent. Great service and a great atmosphere. Pricey but good food (original post). Just checked again today and the prices are unbelievably high now. Holey mackerel. Not going back there, I'd rather go to a fine dining restaurant and pay less.

Food and service are ok; really depends on what you order and who your server is (not consistent). Prices are high for what you get. $12 for a parfait with about $2 worth of ingredients (factoring in the cost of organic/gluten-free). Either their operational costs are outrageous or they are making serious bank with these margins. The item prices don't make sense compared to each other either. An item with more protein, more nutrients, and more expensive ingredients can be a similar price to the PB&J. $9 for an 8-ish ounce strawberry drink? If you dropped your prices 20%, I would show up twice as often, and your total revenue would be higher. Just my 8¢ (marked up my 2¢ to match your pricing). Nice place to pop in for a coffee + free refills, if you happen to be in the neighborhood already.

Simon’s has always been one of our “go to” places. Service and food are consistently fantastic. You can’t go wrong coming here for breakfast or lunch, especially with the vegetarian options.

Any time I'm in town, Simon's is one of the places that I always make time to go to. Their fruit smoothies are amazing, their skillets are delicious, and the atmosphere and staff are so welcoming. My trips always really start once I've had my coffee and eggs here!

We expected this to be great. However, I think there’s been a change in management, because it absolutely was not great and doesn’t match the google reviews of 4.6 stars. Food was extremely mediocre, no seasoning, and expensive for basic, unstructured meals. Dining partner got a skillet bowl and did not enjoy it at all. It seemed haphazardly thrown together with nothing special or enticing about it.. After we tried to eat, another reason that we did not enjoy our meals fully was the lack of cleanliness in the restaurant. Lots of food/ syrup/crud splashed all over counters, equipment, walls, and other areas. Our first breakfast out in Sarasota, and it was extremely disappointing. Not worth it.

One of the best places for lunch and breakfast in Sarasota! Tons of vegan options! Omelettes here are my absolute favorites! Desserts are to die for! Enjoy this local gem! Great service as well.

This place has unfortunately declined under the new ownership. I tried emailing to send my complaints before leaving a bad review but never heard anything back. I miss Simon. I do understand that staffing is a challenge across the board, but that doesn’t explain the decline in the food portions, quality and consistency. Disappointing. It is evident that Gary is not the greatest boss - a server walked in the day after a hurricane had grazed us and the first thing he did was tell her she messed up a graphic or something and the other servers literally had to prompt him to be polite and say “hello, good to see you, how are you”. The utterance is bad enough but to have that whole interaction in front of customers? Give me a break . I do still love the servers that have been there since Simon owned it especially Amanda the baker whose love you can taste in her desserts.

Food is good and the staff is nice too

Stopped here on our way out of town for to-go breakfast; we got Farmer Wrap, Açaí bowl, Farmhouse skillet, and coffee- fast service, delicious food, and a wonderfully friendly lady who helped with all of the above. Couldn’t have been better. Thank you for being a gem in the area!

Stopped in for some coffee. Upon entry the patio walkway was busy and the main door opens to a takeaway area that was slightly confusing as you are expected to order at the bar instead. Simons Coffee House is actually a small restaurant in a strip mall. The food looked good, but we took a cortado and vanilla ice latte to go. The bar staff were nice, the service was quick and the coffee was good. It looks like they sell coffee beans to go too.

My family loves this place! Great selection of healthy and delicious home cooked meals. We appreciate the vegan options and specials. The breads and desserts are delicious. They have gluten free options too! My kids enjoy the smoothies, and my husband and I love the fun drink options like kombucha, London fog lattes, and herbal teas. Great little spot with indoor and outdoor options, and a bar.

Unique decorations, outside seating available but not much of the view. Mango lassi was tasteless, more like milk with ice [ a lot of ice ] but latte and beet juice were good

This breaks my heart to leave this review. This place used to be my favorite. It’s gone downhill. Service has plummeted, no one even greets you when you walk in. There are tons of unbused tables, they make the servers bus them. The food quality has declined as well, no flavor, not as many great options as they had before. If you didn’t know how it used to be, then maybe you wouldn’t be so disappointed with it. It’s ok, mediocre at best. The girl that makes the vegan pastries is still there, those are on point. Highly recommend trying one of those.

Everything I've ever had here is remarkably good. It's absolutely delicious. I had a vegetarian quinoa burger. Which is something I usually wouldn't order but I thought I'd try it. It was mind-blowingly good. Every time I'm in the area I try and stop in.

Great food and coffee. (Cute girls too.) The Greek omelet was stuffed! Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

We enjoyed our dishes-a Reuben and a vegetarian Mediterranean breakfast plate. The house made chai and tea were both really good, too! We are taking cinnamon rolls home for tomorrow. We’ll be back! Thank you for so many wonderful vegetarian options. The menu also had vegan/gluten-free options for those on the search.

Simons is more than a restaurant their staff becomes family, very easily. Extremely kind hearted people work here, and they make delicious food. I love the vegan biscuits and gravy special that they make every now and then, and I have never had a complaint about their food. Everything has always been perfect. If that’s not enough my partner liked the food and staff here so much that she got a job here, and loves the work she does.

Owner and stuff are extremely accommodating for child on spectrum. Thank you very much for today, you restore my faith in humanity and coffe was delicious 😃

I was introduced to Simon's Coffee House 9 years ago and have loved it ever since! The food is absolutely awesome, their drinks are wholesome and wonderful and service is great! Thank you all for great food!

I was so happy to find this great spot! This cozy restaurant has an amazing menu. There are not many places that not only have a large amount of vegetarian/vegan options as well as meat eater options that are both done exceptionally well. We started with fantastic coffee ( I am very picky about my coffee), which a large assortment of milks were provided. Every non-milk option as well as fat-free milk up to heavy cream. I had the Mediterranean tofu, it was cooked perfectly and the flavors were fresh and delicious. My table mate had an egg sandwich, and they couldn't have been more pleased with it. Also the portions were huge. In addition, the staff was friendly and attentive. In fact, we spoke to the owner as were were leaving as he was putting blankets at the outside tables, as it was a cool day, which we thought was incredibly incitful and considerate. He was very pleasant and obvious puts a lot of heart in his business and it showed. I will definitely return to this restaurant whenever I am in the area. I have since returned to this restaurant and the food and service was just as amazing as the first time. I highly recommend the Ruby, I don't even care for beets and this dish was a delicious. My mom had the Reuben and said it was one of the best she ever had. Definitely make sure you take the opportunity to go to this restaurant!

I had a Tuscan wrap that was absolutely delicious. I could only eat half! I took the other half home and it was delicious again!

Personnel seems overwhelmed Did not get my whole takeout order When I called was put on hold and forgotten about. The caprese sandwich had a very old piece of chicken on it that I had to discard.

If you are in town do yourself a favor and visit Simon's. They have incredible staff and even better food! If you are Gluten-Free/Vegan they have plenty of options to fill any craving. I have suggested this to many of my friends and family.

So good I went twice in one week! They have a ton of VEGAN options! Moving from Los Angeles I was worried about finding vegan food in Sarasota and this place did not disappoint! The coffee is incredible, the beans are fresh and roasted just right (not burnt) the fruit is fresh and the servings are generous :) the VEGAN breakfast menu is extensive! I can’t wait to come back and try something else.

Simons is too easy to miss driving down 41. I was so nicely surprised walking in for a meeting and immediately couldn’t wait to go back to try more. They have a full menu and are so much more than just a “Coffee House” very friendly staff, great ambiance and full menu. Drinks from cappuccino and tea to beer and wine.

Over priced for a breakfast/lunch spot. Cute place, staff was nice and friendly. Two simple meals for two people with two juices, cappuccino, a scone and muffin. Total came out to $60. Not worth it for me.

Great for both vegans and non-vegans! Spanakopita was the best I've ever had.

Service and atmosphere are very nice and friendly. Food wasn't the greatest. Breakfast felt like it wasn't cooked to order. We like runny eggs and freshly cooked bacon so we were a bit disappointed this time. We normally come for lunch which we have always liked.

Were here on vacation, and thought we would try this place it looked really interesting, It did not disappoint. Awesome food, atmosphere is great, and the service next to none. To full for a desert but they looked really good.

Food was, as always AMAZING! Sadly, as with most places, staffing... is not always consistent. Although the staff are nice enough they are not as engaging as they once were.

This place is awesome! Consistently awesome. The food is always super tasty and the staff is so friendly. It is one of few places around that serves freshly squeezed fruit and veggie juices and their açaí bowl is the best I’ve had. Truly a hidden gem.

I have been here a couple of times and will keep coming back. It has a diverse menu and all I've had has been delicious. Its a nice relaxed vibe. Its also close to Siesta Key beach so I eat and drive to beach and walk after each meal. It makes for a lovely time!

The food is really good here. I have had lunch here numerous times. This is kind of a hippy dippy place, so if that sort of thing bothers you....keep that in mind. That bothers me a bit, but I will not let that get in the way of getting very good food. Great place for vegits and vegans. Fine meat dishes too.

It's so nice to enjoy quality one-off dining experiences, which is what one enjoys at Simon's. Everything is individually crafted and an example of that is the chicken salad which is chock-full of grapes and nuts. I gave only four stars solely because it is a bit pricey and that needs to be known, but I find it a good value when not on a tight budget.

We have been here before and enjoyed our meal but this time it fell short. I would like to support local businesses but if it is not good it is not good.I had a tofu scramble with what they call vegan sausage which was a lentil loaf which was cold and mushy totally unappetizing. The scramble was mostly vegetables which was fine but it’s a tofu scramble there was hardly any tofu. My husband had a Black bean skillet and he did not enjoy the flavors at all. We were disappointed and probably won’t be back.

Best coffee in the area, delicious breakfast

The coffee is proper Italian. Tasty and strong. On the other hand, a glass of milk costs $4 which is ridiculous. The staff are nice.

Outstanding, food was excellent with a very nice wide selection. Staff took excellent care of us and I highly recommend this place. I will have pictures after my next visit. I ate everything and then remembered I should have gotten photos. Regardless this will be another one of our must go places to eat.

Mia is amazing! She sold me on the Polenta and I have never liked Polenta. The food is so good! Definitely need to return soon. Will remember to take a picture of the Polenta next time. Lol

Very average place with more of a diner type of food. Smoothies are acceptable, but hard to go wrong with making those..Disappointing, had a tofu and lentil panini that had a few thin slabs of tofu and some version of lentil paste ( bread?) inside a white bread bun. Sadly options are limited in that area.

Open at 0800H. Ready for business. Coffee was GREAT. My business associate had an omelet which he found very tasty. Will definitely return when I am SUPER HUNGRY!

If you have eaten a REAL buttery scone, you know what a delicious scone tastes like. Vegan scone is a TOTAL joke compared to what a real scone tastes like. If you like traditional old school food, this place is not for you!!

Loved the Strawberry Blast Neighborhood Drink. First time visitor - absolutely loved the Krishna Panini and the Sonoma Panini. Definitely going back! Wish we'd found it sooner.

This is a great independent coffee shop and sandwich place. They usually have some very nice vegetarian sandwiches, but it is not entirely a vegetarian restaurant. The coffee is good too.

A delightful find, we stoped for coffee and found a full breakfast & lunch cafe. Nice menu selections, coffee good, but servers extra busy in a fairly crowded place. Short one? We did wish there was a larger selection of baked goods to go along with our coffee. We Wil try again for sure

Awesome food for all. I love the Essex Boy vegan English breakfast, with bubble and squeak, homemade baked beans, lentil loaf, grilled tomato, tofu scramble and multi grain toast. Topped off with a mimosa, perfect brunch! Veggie and carnivore options too. Great coffee. Awesome staff!

Stopped in for a late lunch after the beach and had an AMAZING meal and PHENOMENAL service. After we finished our meal we found out that the restaurant had closed 30 minutes ago (we walked in 5 minutes before they closed without even knowing!). The staff did not turn us away when we walked in right before closing, they served us a fabulous lunch that tasted fresh even though the kitchen was closing up, and they didn’t rush us out the door. I couldn’t believe it! I felt awful that we put them in that position but I couldn’t believe how awesome they handled it. Top notch. Our server was so kind and helpful, honestly I can’t say enough good things about this place. Amazing vegan and vegetarian options, I can’t wait to return and try more!

Stopped in for breakfast about 11:00 on a Monday. Seated ourselves and the waitress was there within 5 minutes. Excellent service, food was good. They also serve mimosas. Price was about average for a breakfast.
