Shopping in Fairbanks today I stopped at my favorite place Sipping Streams Tea. I decided to try a veggie steamed bun, it was very tasty and light. So delish!!! Also had a very berry tea smoothie with jasmine pearls added. Great experience every time I’ve been there! You gotta hit this place up ! 🙌🙌

Went in today to try their bubble waffle and I was very disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I love their tea and we love getting their chicken buns, but when we ordered their bubble waffle, I was baffled as to what I was given. The only tasty thing about it was the ice cream I guess. We ordered the Strawberries and Cream and the picture and description they advertise was not really what I got. For one, the waffle was so burnt, there were no strawberries ( I even went back to the cashier and questioned if there was supposed to be strawberries in it like what it says and she said it's just like that, just syrup and there was barely even any strawberry syrup). There was ice cream and chocolate syrup but i tasted more of the burnt waffle then the other things in it. I think they should change their description and picture to match it next time. I'll just stick to their tea and chicken bun next time I guess.

Everything about Sipping Streams is amazing! Every tea or food item I have had has been delicious, and they are always so nice and helpful if I have any questions. Some of my favourite items are the red bean steamed buns and the Hong Kong bubble waffles for food. And the Matcha, chocolate passion, 1000 mile, and bubble teas for drinks.

Got the Royal Tea with beef tenderloin as a birthday surprise for a friend and everything was to die for! Excellent service all around!

Once and while me and the come to enjoy either the tea or even the food.. Each time we’ve come we have always be greeted with smiles and served quickly from ordering to having our drinks and food to our table. Staff is always friendly and kind. I say on a cold day some hot tea can warm you up. I definitely recommend to stop by and check it out

Visited at Christmas time, great products and great service.

I had gotten a recommendation from a local for Bahn Mi sandwiches so I decided to give this place a try. While the staff was very pleasant, I should have sent the sandwich back (and that’s something I never do). The bread was both soggy and hard and in places still a bit cold as if it had been pulled out of the freezer & microwaved to warm it up. The pork was over salted and the sauce was very runny. The veggies were shredded and just so so. I’d have to say it ranked at the bottom of the Bahn Mi I’ve had over the years. The bao, while a bit better, didn’t seem particularly fresh - the sauce in the filling had soaked into the bun. The one highlight of the meal was the Yerba Matte which was quite enjoyable.

I am always willing to give another chance to a restaurant that offers healthy options with caring managers. Appreciate you 🩷. ORIGINAL: I ordered the veggies only Japanese udon with rice noodles. The girls are so young, and she was struggling with making it and one of the other ones had to help her, so I feel for them, but man. When I got to work and tried to eat this it tasted like noodles in water. There was only some cabbage and rice noodles in what seemed more like straight hot water than a broth. I poured some soy sauce in there and that helped. I'm all for low sodium but a little sodium is okay no? Just needs some improvement. The girls were sweet. Thank you!

Jenny is always so helpful in answering questions her workers may not know which just helps make people feel like like each person still matters. This is my first time in the new location and I love the feel of it. It was quite busy when I came in but severally workers took time to welcome me and the food still came out quickly. We had a LOVELY tea party to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We had three "adult" teas and two "children's" teas. The table decor was so pretty with all of the beautiful dishes, there was a wonderful selection of delicious treats, and the teas were exquisite. We did feel that the table was not really large enough for 5 people, 5 tea trays, plus tea pots...

I hesitated to write this because I don’t want this to deter anyone from trying sipping streams, it’s a great local business. I just happened to have a somewhat negative experience, and I’m only writing this because I noticed the owners seem to check reviews frequently and it’s an issue that can be easily be fixed. I’m a vegetarian, and while I’m not like out of commission or anything if I eat meat, it does hurt my stomach and it’s not fun. With that being said, I ordered the veggie bun and ended up getting the chicken bun instead. It took me a couple of bites to realize that it was chicken, and when I brought it up to the front they quickly apologized and asked me if I wanted the bun I ordered. I told them yes, and they brought it out. It wasn’t very good, it was pretty plain and disappointing. The two bites I had of the chicken bun was good though! I’m not writing because I think the workers suck and did this intentionally; I know it was an accident. They’re all young and honestly had great customer service when I first came in, but as a business that serves food it’s important that people’s dietary needs aren’t overlooked. Like I said, I’m not on my deathbed. I just went home with a stomachache. But, it could be a much bigger issue for those with more extreme food allergies. So please just make sure people are getting what they ordered and also maybe put a little more flavor into the vegetarian/vegan options

Another disappointment that this business will not hang a small poster advertising an upcoming UAF musical event, sponsored by the Dept. of Music, staring UAF students. As much money as this business makes on their product, enough to recently expand, you think they could be a little or a lot more supportive of our community's university & its young talented students!

Had an absolutely lovely time visiting their new location. Had 2 types of udon, a tea sandwich, and some bubble tea. Everything was very refreshing, and the store had a lovely atmosphere. They also had various tea sets, ramen bowl sets, tea leaves, cute mugs, and stickers for purchase. It's definitely worth checking out, especially if you want somewhere to sit and catch up with a friend.

I visited Fairbanks for the first time ever and checked out this place Friday, wonderful lady named Madison helped us Friday and let me tell you. She is by my definition a Teaologist.She was very informative and i learned a substantial amount of info. More than the Museum we went to later that day! I came back today and she was there working and helped me again today If I am fortunate enough to visit Fairbanks again I will be back because of Madison's top-tier hospitality.

I've been coming to sipping streams since it opened and it has been a staple in my life from the first sip. My life has taken me far from home, but when I come back here to fairbanks I always make it a point to stock up and sit down for a pot of tea with lunch. Love the product, the selection, the food, and the staff. If you're in fairbanks make it a point to stop by to warm up.

I got the sweet peach white tea and three of their creamed honeys as well as their water bottle with a strainer at the bear paw festival today and the customer service is beyond amazing. The creamed honeys are so wonderful and flavorful that I bought three!! Will be recommending this to my fellow tea drinkers!

Great place and the cashier was very knowledgeable, when I went in. I did order online a few days later and I waited for 15min after saying I was their and nothing so I called twice and finally got my order but by that time it was cold and my drink was melted. Overall alright

I got two steamed buns and a unicorn lemonade boba, and my partner got a strawberry boba. Everything was soooo good. The dough on the buns was so delicious and the meat inside was seasoned so well. The unicorn lemonade boba was so delicious and pretty! The barista that made it was so sweet and helpful and the drink itself was so cool and color changing plus edible glitter! Perfect afternoon snack and drink. My partner loved their strawberry boba so much they finished it in less than 10 minutes! 💖

I was looking for a specific type of tea cup. I was shown several options and when I selected one that was the last one in the store, they located the box and sold it to me. I am very pleased with the store.

About ordering online, the quantity received is absolutely ridiculous compared to the price and the enormous shipping fees you'll pay. Ridiculous really is the word that best describes this experience as a customer.

Amazing tea! The teas made by Sipping Streams are some of the best teas I've tried in my entire life. I don't know Jenny's secret, but she definitely knows her teas- the teas are high quality and her original tea blends taste amazing. If you're looking for classic black, green, oolong, white, and herbal teas, then you'll be very happy here. The decaf green tea is the best tasting decaf green tea I've ever had. If you want a taste of Alaska, try the Arctic Bliss which is a blend of fireweed (a type of flower that grows in Alaska), lingonberries and white tea. If you want more energy, try the 1000 Mile Tea (a blend of black and white teas). There's also yerba mate and rooibos. What else can I say? If you're a tea lover and you're in Alaska, you need to try Sipping Streams ASAP!

Got the original creamed honey as a gift and wanted more. I was delighted to find they had other flavors so I placed a order for earl grey (so delicious) and lavender (haven’t tried yet, distracted by the earl grey) honey, a tin of tea and a tea cup. The cup arrived shattered even though it looked like it was well packed but the box looked a little battered. I reached out via email to see what can be done and they quickly replied and put in a replacement for me within hours. The items are expensive but the quality is fantastic and the customer support very helpful.

I ordered some cute cups for my mom's 94th birthday. One of the cups had a big crack & I emailed them, and they are already sending a replacement ( : Quick customer service!

I can’t believe how lucky I am that a tea shop as exceptional as Sipping Streams exists in a little city like Fairbanks. Every one of their teas I’ve had is great and their staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. My only gripe is that they’ve kind of ruined me for most other tea brands. 😆

Lovely tea shop with incredibly knowledgeable staff. Great stop for a quick hot cup but also has options for you to learn about more intricate loose leaf tea if that’s what your after as well.

The manager recognized me and asked about my dogs. It’s always nice to go places where you are remembered.

Don’t like write bad reviews but this company make me do that. Visited Alaska this summer and tried one tea, what was nice. Decide find this tea and ordered. Find this company sippingstreams and order tea some honey. To make check a bit bigger, I don’t mind to Suport local business. But when I receive a product I was kind of shocked. It was hard to believe this company don’t care about theirs costumer at all. They put me 1/2 smaller bottle of honey from what I ordered and tea… I never seen somebody sell 120$ 4 oz tea in a Walmart bag. I decided to call them and ask, what is going on. Explain situation and they not even apologize, just said “o sometime is happened” And tea we sell like that to save some money, but probably not my. Not recommend this guys at all. You can find almost exactly tea in Amazon 5 times cheaper and save your mood and money.

I always love coming here. The food's good for the price, nothing super fancy but decent fare. The real reason to come is always the drinks of course. From the kombucha and boba to the teas it's always incredible! They've got a great selection of teas to take home and all kinds of pots, cups, infusers and the like. Plus it's a fantastic place to hang out and relax! Love the chill vibe.

Sipping Streams was an awesome tea shop. We were greeted with two samples of tea that were spectacular and given extensive information on all the teas they had to offer.

I got boba from here and honestly it’s the worst I’ve ever had. The pearls were all clumped together and undercooked. The guy was great but the boba was just terrible.

Great place - we don't have a tea shop where I'm from, and it was a delight to browse. They have a good variety of quality tea for sale. I recommend their Midnight Sun herbal blend!

The staff here are sweet and kind but the reason i gave this review 3 stars is because there was a pretty long wait for our drinks and when i got my drink the first thing i tasted was the amazing strawberry tea but the boba was waxy and rock hard. great tea though.

I Love Sipping Streams and it is without a doubt my favorite tea shop in Fairbanks. The staff are typically very knowledgeable and extremely friendly and helpful and it's one of my favorite places to take visiting family and friends. I also enjoy the tea bags sold there which are both very unique and delicious. My only complaint is that sometimes the new staff are unknowledgeable or make mistakes with preparing the tea and food. When it comes to making good tea it often comes down to experience and the newer employees just don't have that much experience. Despite that I highly recommend Sipping Streams it has a very peaceful and wholesome atmosphere.

I came across Sipping Streams at the state fair. My wife knows I love tea and talked me into checking it out. I was tired and skeptical. Thankfully, my wife persevered and I benefited thereby. I met the owner, heard about her teas and had the best Assam I have ever tasted. Really. It's an understated and often overlooked tea. SS Assam is complex, malty and grounding. I plan to travel to Fairbanks, visit her shop and top off my tin this winter. If you like tea or spunky Alaska business owners, do yourself a favor and patronize this wonderful shop.

Such a peaceful place with top notch teas. Definitely stop by and have a pot of something! Also has a beautiful selection of tea sets. For food I recommend the scones, lavender cookies, or matcha cupcakes over the noodle bowl.

The inside is so cute! It's filled to the brim with teapots, cups, sets, and other tea related things, including boba kits! Speaking of boba, it's pretty good, other than the fact that the boba pearls need to be cooked longer. And one more thing, I recommend the steamed buns, they're delicious!

Sipping Streams has such a great variety of teas!! The tea sets are adorable and I will definitely be back to try the food, it looked delicious! The highlight of my first visit was the salesperson Joshua! He was so kind and helpful without being overbearing. Even had some funny tea puns and was so knowledgeable and passionate about the teas. He definitely deserves a raise so he will always work there!!
