Went skydiving with Matt as my tandem and Silvio as my photographer one of the greatest experiences of my life. The trainer was extremely knowledgeable and explained every step of the way as we went. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a unforgettable experience!

I skydived for the first time on 08/07/2024 and it was an experience I'll never forget. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, you can tell everybody at Skydive Chicago really cares about the sport, and takes the safety aspects very seriously. I knew I was in good hands when i walked in the door. My tandem instructor Ginger was absolutely phenomenal- offering reassurance and guidance throughout the whole plane ride and dive. She really made the whole experience for me. I will absolutely be back again someday. My group loved it so much they went twice and took me with them their second dive ;)

I had an amazing time doing my first skydive! Baxter jumped with me and made the whole process feel safe and relaxed, which helped a lot with the nerves. Silvio was there taking pictures and recording, making sure every special moment was caught on video. Safety is there #1 priority and they make sure everyone has a fun time. I can’t wait to do my second jump and I can’t think of a better place to do it!

This was my first jump, and boy was it an amazing day. Silvio was super accommodating, informative and FUN! He made it easy to trust, and was an overall great time. I felt very safe and secure. The people on property were also all super positive and supportive. I highly recommend the staff, facilities and overall vibe of Skydive Chicago. I will definitely be back! If you are on the fence about skydiving, just do it!! You will not regret it.

Although I am not a skydiver anymore I go to Summerfest every year to watch my friends and help support Skydive Chicago.I also have friends who work there as well so I love supporting when I can. I've been going for years and years and live 2 hours away. This year I went only to be turned away by a gatekeeper who wasn't letting anyone in without a wristband. I explained I can pay admission and he said no, I cant even pay admission. I explained to him that my friends were already in and I had friends who also worked there and he refused our entry and made us leave. Sadly I couldn't get ahold of my friends in a timely manner because they were jumping so we had to leave and head back home after over a 2 hour drive. So we wasted over 4 hours of the day. No notice of this change whatsoever and no care in the world for those who traveled to get there ,when most of us traveled to get there. VERY disappointed. I guess unless your giving them $ to jump you just don't matter. Not cool , Skydive Chicago. You failed to think of your loyal fans who cant jump.

This was my second time skydiving and first time at Skydive Chicago and I can say this was the best jump I've had! Shoutout my man Baxter who was my TM and Charles that helped capture the most genuine looks of excitement and thrill that came across my face during the experience. Skydive Chicago is a top notch operation! This was my first jump and the entire experience was impressive. The entire staff was professional, friendly, and knowledgable. My tandem instructor Ryan Reb was amazing. He was not only a super cool dude but was extremely thorough with my training and safety. His instructions were clear and concise and our jump was spectacular. He really took the time to tailor my experience to me and answer all my questions. Went with a group for my first ever skydive and could not have wished for a better experience. The crew was professional, experienced and made all of us first-timers feel at ease. I spent this past Saturday celebrating my 40th birthday with my first ever skydive. It was one of thy most memorable birthdays and life experiences. My tandem instructor Ginger did such an amazing job explaining everything to me and keeping me calm. I also went ahead and got the selfie package to capture the experience and again Ginger did not fail! I’ve watched the video countless of times and anyone that watched it also loved it! I can’t wait to jump again, hopefully I can get Ginger again. Thank you skydive Chicago for such a wonderful time!

This was my first time ever doing this & I was Scared as hell but I was abt to run out of they jus looking at the people jumping. The Instructor Mr. Silvio Lopes was crazy good he talked me into feeling good abt the jump even tho they try to keep scared you but it's all good.

Man, it'd been too long since I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane! Sylvio was awesome, even though it felt weird being strapped to another person for a change! Cannot recommend this place enough. I bought the package for my wife and I for our anniversary, and everything was super smooth and simple! Can't wait for our next jump already!

Hands down the coolest experience EVER. I wasn’t 100% sure I’d take this kind of leap. So happy I did. From online booking to landing my first tandem jump with one of the many amazing instructors, there are really no words to describe how Skydive Chicago makes an experience like this so safe, seamless, and memorable (in a good way) for a newbie like me. Matt T is an awesome instructor!!! His great communication, experience, and passion not only helped put me at ease on my first jump, but actually inspired me to go AGAIN. I’m 5’9 so if you’re reading this and sort of tall, he’s probably taller than you. Haha. Such a welcoming community of folks. I will be back.

My second jump was with Matt D and I could not be more grateful for the clear instruction and wonderful experience, can’t wait to get back in the skies!!! Thank you Skydive Chicago!!! It was my first time ever jumping, so the adrenaline was pumping but shout out to my awesome instructor Matt T.! He even taught me how to steer the parachute and let me try it! Silvio was my videographer and he took some incredible videos and pictures and was super nice as well! I was certified in the army in 1990 at Ft Benning, Georgia. I took my son for his 18th birthday. We had a blast. We had to jump tandem. Chad was my staff member and my son had Ginger. Both were fun, knowledgeable and professional. Couldn’t have asked for better folks to assist us. Entire staff was friendly. Location was spotless, busy and teeming with thrill..

Ginger was amazing as my tandem parter for my first skydive. She was excited for me and provided all the information I asked to make me confident and ready for the jump. It was an awesome experience that I highly recommend!!!! I was lucky to go up with a group of professionals and they were welcoming and just as excited for me as I was. A truly magical and breathtaking experience.

I just got home from Skydive Chicago in Ottawa IL after a weekend of training for national competition. I made 31 jumps in 3 days, and I can’t say enough about this drop zone. They have fantastic facility, and it runs like a finely tuned machine so all I had to do was focus on my training. If you are looking to make your 1st jump or your 1,000th skydive, I highly recommend Skydive Chicago. You won’t be disappointed.

There is no place quite like Skydive Chicago. It's huge! Huge, beautifully maintained landing area, huge hangars, lots of airplanes (3 Twin Otters, 2 Skyvans, 2 Caravans and a Cessna). The staff are friendly and incredibly experienced. Plus a swimming pond, tiki bar, campground, cabins, gym, frisbee golf and more I'm not thinking of... owned by a multi-generational, multiple world title /record holding competitive skydiver. They host incredible events: US Nationals, World Skydiving Championships, skydiving records, an annual 9 day long huge skydiving party, as well as many non-skydiving events. You have to come see it to truly understand!

This may be the best drop zone in the world, and we are very lucky to have it so close! The staff is very professional, the facilities are second to none, and the tandems get an experience that allows them to be an active participant, which is not only unique but also makes it so much more fun and memorable! And if you want to get your license to jump solo, this is the spot to do it!

Today was my first time skydiving and I’m glad I chose Skydive chicago. All of the staff was super nice and the experience that I had there was amazing. I was partnered up with Silvio Lopez, he was amazing. He had me laughing the whole time and made me feel safe. I will definitely go back to skydive chicago in the future.

I’m a SCUBA Divemaster and I really love my time under the water. Today I had my second skydiving experience. My first skydiving experience was about 20 years ago, and I did a static line jump. Static line skydiving is a method of skydiving that uses a fixed cord, or static line, to automatically open a parachute as a skydiver leaves an aircraft. I regretted the static line choice, as I was unable to experience free fall. THIS time I chose the tandem skydiving. AMAZING!!! My tandem skydiving instructor, Ginger is a first-class professional with a little thrill seeker tossed in for good measure. SCUBA Divers and Sky Divers seem like kindred spirits, and immediately felt that I was with ‘my people’. Our appointment was 10AM and since the weather was cooperative, our wait time was under 30 minutes. Ginger and the other tandem instructors met with my group in a big hanger where there were many people packing parachutes. We had already done our online instruction and Ginger went over with me what I learned from my class. She did her run down of what we were to experience, then asked me if I had any questions. All my questions were easily and completely answered. She instructed and assisted me with donning my gear, them went around me securing harness. We left the hanger and boarded the airplane and we hooked together. I was a little nervous, and Ginger told me that she had been skydiving for over 6 years, and that pretty much quelled my fears. When we got to around 13,000 feet, the door was opened and we were allowed to exit the plane. Free fall turned out to be just what I had hoped it would be, Ginger got us into position, we did a couple spins while descending and at the appropriate time, she had ME ‘pull the golf ball’ (deploy the parachute). It takes time for the parachute to fully open, and even though it felt like longer it was probably just a couple seconds. The change is immediate, no longer the fast fall, it suddenly became floating. I was surprised at how clearly I could hear her questions and respond. She asked if I wanted to do some spins, and I was all in. We made some tight spins and it was exhilarating. Everything I hoped it would be, and Ginger totally had everything under control. The landing was smooth and exactly were she said we were going to land. AMAZING! I will be back to Skydive Chicago, I will of course request Ginger, however all the people in our group felt each of their instructors did an excellent job. The one thing I would recommend to those who are doing this for the first time, is to CLEARLY inform your instructor what you are looking to experience, be it free fall, spins or just a leisurely float to the ground with a spectacular view of the area. Excellent job Skydive Chicago, and thank you Ginger for a truly spectacular experience.

Attended the SANS World Record Event at Skydive Chicago and had an amazing time! The staff were extremely accommodating, the environment had a positive vibe, and safety was always top priority. The pilots have a lot of experience and flew the 2-plane formation loads beautifully. We rented a cabin for the 4 night stay which was convenient and comfortable. Tiki bar and pond felt great after a day of jumping in the hot sun. Definitely plan to return for future events. 🤘🏻💜

This place is amazing! I’m an experienced sport jumper who came here for an event, and I’ve gotta say, the staff here is amazing, the pilots here are world class (no really, these aren’t just rookie pilots trying to build hours that you often see at drop zones), their fleet of aircraft is excellently maintained, and their commitment to safety is quite apparent. If you’re looking to do a tandem, then trust me: it’s a way cooler experience to come to a big drop zone where you can watch fun jumpers, as well as some of the best skydivers in the world, do their thing, as opposed to some tandem factory where they churn through customers with $$$ as the only goal. Come jump here, it’s awesome!! I can’t wait to be back.

This is the best dropzone I have ever been to. Wonderful management and staff, beautiful facilities, and great planes with skilled pilots. It's very safe, fun, and overall just a great place to jump!

I had only heard legendary stories of what a great drop zone Skydive Chicago is, and when I finally got to experience it for myself, I understood what my friends were trying to convey. This place is amazing! From the numerous planes, to the humongous landing area, to the super fun swimming pond, to the wonderful staff, to all of the great vibes throughout my visit, I had a wonderful time and am looking forward to returning!!

I will be back for another tandem jump! My first time skydiving 07.13.24. I have been wanting do this at 17 back in 2007! Skydive Chicago is the place to be! Chad my instructor was awesome and helped in making me comfortable relaxed and safe! No fear at all! The best experience ever!!!

A very efficient facility and fun experience. Having lots of different things to enjoy while you wait is really nice and the food at the café is really good. Matt T. Also provided peace of mind with his knowledge and has fun energy. We had family visiting who spoke Spanish and him taking the time to converse with them in Spanish was really special and added to the excitement of the day. Overall happy to have had the opportunity and felt great with everyone involved.

Might be the single greatest experience of my life. I've raced motorcycles, broke horses, whitewater rafting and I rate jumping out of a plane @ 13,000 feet #1. My tandem partner was Matt T. Incredible experience for a first time tandem jump! The staff at the registration area were super welcoming and walked me through some day of paperwork and an overview of the day which helped put my nerves at ease. I proceeded to the tandem jump staging area and fully anticipated needing to wait a couple of hours to grab a slot on one of the outgoing planes, but was pleased to see I was already assigned a spot and would be taking off within 20 minutes. My tandem master, Silvio, met me and just fully took over navigating the experience from there: walking me through the jump and what to expect, checking and re-checking (and re-checking, and re-checking) that all harnesses and safety gear was prepped, escorting me onto the plane, providing direction throughout, and recording the whole experience via a camera on his wrist. Silvio was a master at balancing humor and charm with professionalism and thoroughness which really put me at ease and made me feel incredibly safe throughout the whole process. During the tandem jump itself, I was prompted to keep my arms/legs in certain positions, but, beyond that, Silvio did the work, allowing me to fully enjoy the experience of free fall and parachute trip down to a smooth landing. I received video and pictures of the experience within an hour which I was able to share with friends and family to recount the exhilarating, well managed experience. Highly recommended and well priced for a memory which will last for years to come.

I had a blast for my first time! Baxter was amazing, he made sure I was ready multiple times and walked me through the process multiple times to reassure me what to do. 10/10 will do again!

I had unforgettable experience this Saturday June of 29 with my first tandem. My instructor Ginger made that very easy for me,Thank You The atmosphere and all the people in the hangar,,,,,Amazing. My thanks to Ginger again and I'm highly suggesting Skydive Chicago to everyone.
