Everything on the Bo Jr was delicious. I was more into the ribs and it satisfied my cravings. I'm giving it a 4.5 out of 5 because we love eating rice with meat and sadly (and understandable) rice is not part of the menu. • All payments are accepted. • Restroom (men/women) available. • Customer service is 5/5. • Food is 5/5 • Very welcoming and space is enough to have a party. • the pond and wildlife were a plus! • Plenty of parking • No smoking sign posted and appreciated. • Dessert was chefs kiss, loved the 'banana pudding'. • I highly recommend you stop before you head to Myrtle Beach or wherever you're traveling. Next time, I'm taking a pot of rice with me. Haha. Support local! 🤙🏽

For $60 I got enough food to feed 4 people and it was delicious. I don’t know if these other people complaining about the price have never been to a bbq place before but when you can spend $15 a person at a fast food restaurant this is a steal. The building is really nice in a nice location and the staff is about as friendly as can be. Best bbq in the area and I have tried them all. Will definitely be back especially when we have family visiting.

The food was amazing! The ribs and brisket were perfectly smoked and melt in your mouth. The sides were yummy. My favorite side is the baked potato potato salad. The potions are enough to have leftovers for later.

WOW. Go. Recently got back from Texas, and Slabs' brisket is far better than everywhere we went there. The Bo feeds 6 healthily. Ribs are perfect, pulled pork is perfect. Very friendly folk running the place They seem like they love what they do.

I’m giving 3 stars bc the employees were very friendly. Maybe they were the owners. I’m not sure. The building was cool looking on the inside and out. The food wasn’t that great though. And it’s expensive.

Everything was amazing. We’ve eaten BBQ all over the country and this is some of the best we’ve had. Pulled pork that falls apart was a highlight. And don’t forget the banana pudding!

We drove 1 hr and 30 min and we were not disappointed. The BBQ was one of the best I have had. The Brisket was so good and the sausage and ribs were as well. Excellent food and very friendly people! I would make the drive again. I think it would be considered Texas style BBQ.

I am a bred, born, and raised Georgia boy and we have legendary BBQ joints in Georgia that are nearly 100 years old (Fresh Air BBQ in Flovilla opened in 1929.) I am somewhat of an amateur chef and smoke 60-80lbs of pork butts at a time and cook 15 gallons of Brunswick stew at a time in an 80qt stock pot. I am somewhat of a BBQ snob\connoisseur. All that being said, I am going to stick my neck out and say Slabs is the best BBQ in South Carolina. It's THAT good and none of the 20-25 other SC BBQ places I have eaten at come close...

Very nice people. I had a half rack and that was more than I should have eaten. Large ribs with good amount of lean meat were very good. My wife the brisket and it was very good. Our side were slaw, potato salad, baked beans. The potato salad was excellent, the baked beans needed a little something but we're very good, the slaw was only passable. We had banana pudding that was excellent and unique because it's served in individual aluminum little tubs.

Best brisket I've had outside of Texas, and it's not even really close. If I was being very picky I could say that the bark on mine had a few spots where it was just a little too charred, but it was a great rub and the meat itself was so good. My wife loves ribs and is not a super fan of very strong smoke, so I was a little worried she wouldn't like them, but she said they were some of the best ribs she's ever had and is a huge fan! I wouldn't consider the pulled pork and sausage particular standouts, but they were still top tier and I enjoyed them. On top of all of that, service was incredibly friendly and "The Bo" which includes good portions of all of the meats, fed the two of us for like 2 additional days and thus was an amazing value! Overall a top notch experience all around. Unfortunately we're not in the area often, but when we are, we will be coming back.

You have to try the ribs, that's my favorite. The pull pork, and the brisket are delicious. The owners are so kind and friendly.

I’ve had “championship“ quality brisket from Myron Mixon’s DC place before. Slabs was 100% as good or better. On par with some of the 4+ hour wait smokehouses in DFW. In other words, a hidden gem. All meats were excellent. Sides were excellent. They seem to not serve something unless it’s done right. Will be stopping here every time I’m in the area!

I really think this is the best place in the state for barbecue. To nail the brisket, ribs, and pulled pork like they do is impressive

Good food, very friendly people. We sat in the back at a counter where we could look out and see ducks in the pond. It was nice for a family outing.

Just wow! We took an hour detour on a trip to the coast and I'm so glad I did. Brian and Barbara were so kind, we felt like family. This BBQ is the real deal. No franchises, no corn syrup, no nonsense. The brisket was quality meat, fire, great smoke, salt & pepper. The bark was perfect and the brisket so tender. The beans and slaw were so good, and the cookies a perfect treat. We will be back - thank you for the hospitality.

This place is hands down the best BBQ in South Carolina . We ate there the very first time while visiting and came back the very next day . Love the owners who were exceptionally friendly, talk about southern hospitality, they made us feel welcomed and at home. In my honest opinion this is the best BBQ I’ve had in my life. You can tell the food was made with a lot of love and care. Loved this place and every single dish.

Wow! The food here is phenomenal-the portions are huge and the smoked meats are finger licking good! Also, the desserts are mouth watering (we had the banana pudding and key lime pie)! Brian and Barbra are the most gracious hosts! We came for food, but left with friends. Drove 40 minutes each way, and worth every mile of it!

Slabs is a great place to eat Bar-B-Q styled foods. I absolutely love the food and the owners. The deserts are well made as well. The food I well worth the price as well. 10/10 would recommend to everyone who enjoys brisket, ribs, and other Bar-B-Q styled foods.

We eat out a fair bit, and this is one of our favorite places. Two down to earth terrific people that run a real deal barbecue place with a lot of soul. It’s very clear to see that the food quality is super high across-the-board. The flavors and bark on the meat is extremely well developed and everything on the menu is terrific. You go there for the barbecue, the brisket and ribs, but the sides are all delicious and seasoned perfectly. The banana, pudding and cheesecake are just as good!

I’m from out of town and happen to pass by this place on my way to my destination. I knew I had to try some bbq while in town. The service was amazing. The lady who helped me was really nice and so sweet. I got the brisket, potato salad and baked beans. The food was sooooo good. I also got some banana pudding. I was definitely in a food coma. The food was really amazing. This was some of the best service I had in a while. If ever I get the chance to go back to South Carolina. I will be back at this place.

This place is amazing! A hidden gem for sure. Ms. Barbara is so sweet and their food is made with love. I had the brisket. I also took home some ribs for my hubs. Seriously good food!!! We will be back!!!

Absolutely Amazing. If you’re a carnivore connoisseur or just looking for some actual BBQ , look no further than this place. Presentation is also amazing. A Junior Bow will easily feed three adults. Deserts will also surprise you. Worth the hour drive for us. Also reasonable prices.

1st time visiting. Got a plate with brisket, 2 types of sausage, chopped BBQ, and a dessert. Sausage was excellent. Brisket was ok , and the chopped BBQ was OK. Will try again.

Last night was my Dad's 80th birthday. One of our family friends said he would bring the food. I wasn't prepared for what walked through my parents front doot last night. He brought alot. Brisket Ribs PulledPork and Sausage came from SLABS. I was blown away by how good it was. I'm glad to know there's a place in LakeCity called SLABS.

This was our second time here we got there around 2:30 pm Sat were going to have our favorite which were ribs but Brian said you know this is Ribeye night but won't be done till 4pm we left and came back for one of the best Ribeyes we have had sides were great and the deserts were great! WOW! Just wow! The food was excellent and I knew it would be after seeing, hearing, and feeling the passion of the owner. All three of us in our party loved talking with her and eating their delicious food. We are definitely coming back. Tip: Arrive hungry. You'll thank me later.

Absolutely outstanding brisket! Green beans were great as we're the baked beans. Lots of inside and outside seating. The place is adorable. The owner came out to chat and see if we needed anything. Totally worth the hour drive to get there!

Great food and friendly staff! Lots of good options to choose from. We especially loved the pulled pork and the brisket. Green beans and potato salad were our favorite sides. You have to save room for dessert and get the banana pudding!

This is by far one of the best restaurants around! The owners are so kind and friendly and boy oh boy can they cook!!! The brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and sausage are all amazing! The sides were equally as delicious. And the hummingbird cage- unbelievable!! Portions are very large. We ate till we were busting at the seams and then brought home enough for another meal! The decor is interesting to look at and the entire experience feels like home. It may be an hour drive for us from home but we will definitely be back!!

There's a reason why there's so many 5 star reviews. Words cannot describe what a special place this is, and what a wonderful experience you're going to have. The brisket and sides are simply perfection. The deserts are to die for. Get the banana pudding and the hummingbird cake... easy decisions. Worth the drive from wherever you are, and if it's on your way, an absolute must. This was our first time here and absolutely not our last. Thank you Brian and family!

Stopped at Slab’s for the first time while driving through. Great food and very tasty. We will need to stop here the next time in the area.

This place is a gem! Do yourself a favor and stop in for some of the best food I've ever had! Don't forget to try their desserts WOW! We just stumbled upon it on a drive from Pawleys Island to Henderson!

The BBQ is worth stopping in for if you are ever in the area. Look at spending $10-30 it all depends on what you get.

The entire experience was unique! I've never felt so at home at a restaurant. Plus there's a duck family you can feed outside! We got to try the once a month ribeye special plus the brisket! Both of which melt in your mouth like butter! I've never had a steak that didn't need any sauce before! They graciously offer a sample of anything you would like to try before you order. All the reviews are absolutely spot on & still don't do enough justice for how wonderful everything is.

Do not be in a hurry at this place she will let you sample anything and everything before ordering it. Super generous portions, very rarely do I walk away from a place feeling like I didn't spend enough money but this is one of those times they even have signs up telling you not to tip!

This is quite a gem to visit and experience. The owners are absolutely delightful and let you sample all of the barbecue before deciding what you want to purchase. We got the small sampler platter, I forgot the name, and it was wonderful. Everyone got something they absolutely loved. My favorite though would have to be the potato salad surprisingly. We would definitely come back and are glad we have some leftovers to enjoy until then.

There is nothing better than food cooked with real passion. This isn't fancy food, the menu is pretty basic. But WOW the food is amazing! The brisket is right up there with classic Texas brisket. The ribs were perfect and the beef sausage was a great surprise. The decor and atmosphere are cozy and comfortable. We were visiting from Iowa and will make Slabs a destination for every future visit!
