The food here is amazing (pizza, their original salad, and especially the tomato basil soup), but the wait at peak business times is atrocious. It always takes at least 45 minutes to get food at this “fast casual” pizza joint, sometimes 50 minutes to an hour. Tonight, we waited over an hour on one 12 pizza after the rest of the food came out, and finally had to leave without getting it so we wouldn’t miss a movie. Thankfully, the staff was reasonable enough to give us a refund for that item. I highly recommend eating here, but maybe try it on a week night when the kitchen can better keep up with orders.

I love their creamy roasted pepper soup. It’s just so good. Great prices and service.

While visiting Lexington I had to try some pizza. We stopped here at the Smashing Tomato Italian Pizza. I got the Americano which is Cheese and Pepperoni, wood fired. Also ordered breadsticks. The breadsticks came up first, they had good flavor and were definitely woodfired with nice charred undercarriage. The pizza was just so so unfortunately. The dough had little flavor except for the wood fire, the red sauce was very light, with light flavor. The majority of the flavor came from the cheese and Pepperoni. The cheese is creamy and milky tasting. The Pepperoni had a nice spice to it. The undercarriage wasn't charred at all, and the pizza had a lot of flop. Employees were very nice and quick. Atmosphere was nothing to speak of. It did have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Had some beers on hand as well.

Michael and Brooke are amazing managers. The food is outstanding authentic #Napoli style cuisine. I just returned from Italy and this is as good as it gets on this side of the pond. I would love a Martiozzo additional to the dessert menu for a change.

I really enjoy the Margherita pizza. Have eaten it half dozen times. Crust is bubbly and chewy. Sauce is tasty. Fresh mozzarella and basil make it attractive too. The parmesan breadsticks are absolutely delicious! Tried the artichoke dip and the sunny heirloom pizza but both were way too salty for my taste.

I'll keep asking but it would be great if you had a non dairy cheese option for us lactose idiotics lol 😆

I enjoy this type of pizza quite a bit and the aesthetic of the restaurant was a nice change from the clinical modern feel of most nowadays but still quite clean. Getting and placing your order isn't very clear, so we ended up waiting around for a while before just sitting down and placing our order via a QR code at the table. The food was quite good, but had a bit of a burnt taste to it and the bottom of our bread sticks were a smidge dark. It did not bother me at all, but my group was not a fan. The garlic sauce is absolutely the best thing we ate. I would definitely go again!

This place is great! The tomato and chicken soup is to die for! It's got a little kick but the bread they serve helps cut that a little. Other folks in our party ordered pizzas and salads that all looked scrumptious! Decent portions so the higher price point is truly worth it

While passing through the Lexington area and staying at a nearby hotel, I did not expect my delivery to include the best Margherita pizza I ever had in my life. Amazing, unforgettable sauce. Too bad there is none left for breakfast. Bravo!

I've never had a bad experience here until last night. I scanned the QR code on the table to order through toast. We ordered the family meal deal and two penne pastas. My wine came quick and my kids food (the pastas), however, our salad came and my pizza and the server asked if there was anything else. I said yea my fiancés pizza and our drinks. The pizza came out about 20 mins later. I had to remind the waitress about the drinks and she still forgot one. Service was so slow after the pasta came out. I was extremely frustrated because i had pre tipped 18%. My bill was almost $100 and got mediocre food and service. I wanted to ask for a refund but just left and said that we probably wouldn't ever eat there again. Or at least do the toast again.

First off I love the pizza here!! But I went to the Fayette mall location on Sunday 3/3 around 2:00.. I finished and everything was delicious. I go to use the women’s restroom, it’s occupied. I wait and 3 young males that work there came out. I said to them that’s weird guys. I didn’t hear the toilet being flushed or hand sink on, they have no cleaning supplies and the restroom had not just been cleaned…. I couldn’t make out what one of them said to me after I told them that’s weird guys. But huh???? What’s going on in there??

The service was very good. The person behind the counter explained they changed from Blackened Chicken to Grill Chicken and she didn't think it tasted as good. I still ordered the Chicken Sandwich but she was right. It was also quite dry & chewy. I had to ask for more Balsamic Dressing to make the sandwich more moist. It was ok but I wouldn't ever crave this like I did the other. I also ordered the small Americano Pepperoni Pizza and it needed more everything. Cheese, sauce, pepperoni. It was also just ok. I think next time I will stick to their salads.

Excellent customer service! I ordered lunch special and I chose white bean soup. I do not eat meat and I found out that the soup has ham in it. I asked if I can change to salad instead and they change it for me immediately. I know that I should ask them first and part of my fault. I like this location. Will be back

The service here is great. The atmosphere is great. The food is ok in my opinion. At least the pizza wasn’t burned like it is at most wood fired pizza places. I think they need more pizza options …. The option for an olive oil base and put a little more cheese on the pizzas. They seem to skimp on everything but the sauce. With that said, I would go back.

So yummy! We ended up here after two failed attempts at eating at another Italian restaurant. And we were so glad our original plan didn’t work out! The pizza was so good, especially the crust. Their garlic cream sauce, also very good. My 7 year old is very much looking forward to his leftovers for lunch tomorrow, which is not the norm. And the value for the flavor and cost can’t be beat (and that’s saying a lot coming from this deal-loving family). My husband and I shared the dinner special (a 12 in pizza and large Caesar) for $17, and we were full. The salad was huge and came with 3 pieces of tasty bread. The dipping oil station was the cherry on top! Kids meals with drinks were very reasonable at $6. Service was also top notch. They answered all our questions and we were asked by 3 different employees if we enjoyed our dinner. Our dishes were cleared as we finished - just a nice atmosphere for all. Overall, awesome food, nice portions, superb service and great value. We would definitely recommend!

This cant be sanitary!! I won't be back. No management there to watch over how things are done on Sunday afternoon for customers food safety. If they were there, need to be retrained. Just keep this in mind if eating there, on Sunday, and there's no management present. Any good manager would be in tuned to such things, and catch issues...unless there to just get a paycheck and not do a good job. The staff insisted I stay while they closed down. They continued to wait on me-offering me refills and even a sample of bread and oils, even though they didn’t have to do so. They kept reassuring me to stay and enjoy my food. As I waited for my order, I listened to their exchanges with other guests and then me, they were ALL so genuinely friendly, happy and personable. They worked so well together and they put their customers’ needs first. Before I left I asked if they’d let me take their picture to post alongside a review I planned to leave. I told them how rare it is for businesses to treat their guests this way and that means a lot. They obliged. My family really enjoyed the pizza and bread sticks. The staff was extremely helpful. You order at the counter (or online), and they bring the food to you. The food came much faster than we expected.

I am not sure why I have never tried eating here and always assumed it was a fast food place. We had every intention of eating somewhere else and due to an hour wait we decided to go somewhere else and landed here. We ordered the Dinner Special if which consisted of a 12" "Keeneland" Pizza and a Caesar Salad and ordered the Artichoke Dip in a small. The portions were very good and all for a fair price (pictured). The Fire Cooked Pizza was Fantastic! The Artichoke Dip along with the pizza bread was also fantastic. The Caesar salad was pretty average but it also came with some pizza bread and the Olive Oil/Vinegar and Spice blend made this bread even better. Don't bother if they're busy. My 5yo and I sat there for 30 minutes waiting. We lost our table going up front to ask about it and they apparently lost it or gave our order to someone else.
