Being from Texas, I would say this is the best BBQ I have had in GA

Excellent brisket, with a choice of lean, marbled, or half-and-half. Ribs were great, both KC and Memphis style. Delicious sides, especially the corn pudding and baked beans.

I had a fantastic meal here! The grilled vegetables were perfectly seasoned and had a nice char, bringing out their natural flavors. The pulled pork was tender, juicy, and packed with smoky goodness. The chicken breast was cooked to perfection—moist and flavorful. The sweet potato mash was smooth and delicious, offering a sweet contrast to the savory meats. Everything on the plate was well-prepared, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience!

Smokejack BBQ serves up some of the best barbecue in Alpharetta. The smoky flavors and tender meats make it a must-visit for BBQ enthusiasts.

LOVED my burnt ends!!!!!!! Smokey flavor, not full of fat, great sauce! I also liked the cucumber salad and Brunswick stew.

When you walk through the doors off of main street you are immediately hit with that deep smoke smell. The staff is friendly and super attentive. The most impressive part is the food .... I ordered the half pound of pulled pork with Mac and cheese and fries as a side, and my wife ordered a smoked turkey sandwich with a side of coleslaw. We started our meal with delicious fried pickles and some really solid chips and salsa. The smoke on my wife's turkey sandwich was perfect and complimented the Texas toast wonderfully. My pulled pork was thoroughly smoked through and delicious. Lastly the Mac and cheese was creamy and a wonderful pairing with the meat. Everything we ate was delicious and well worth the moderate price. I have paid more for barbecue that wasn't a third as good as it is at SmokeJack. 10/10. A truly perfect BBQ spot to frequent!

First time here and off the start the smoke smell is amazing! Got the smoked turkey on Texas toast sandwich with coleslaw, and let me tell you it was to die for. You can taste the smoke and it's so tender. The flavor was incredible. Also got fried pickles as a starter and they were so delicious! And their chips and salsa were so good as well. Overall the best barbecue we've had so far in Georgia! Highly recommend. There is outdoor seating and a super nice indoor area as well. Awesome awesome place. All staff super friendly!

Good value for what it costs, the brisket is nice and juicy, not overwhelming with spices. Mac and cheese could be better and their BAMA sauce (white BBQ) is quite good although the spicy BBQ is more sweet than spicy. I will go back

This BBQ spot was on our list of places to try when we moved to Alpharetta. Excited because of all the great reviews we ordered $80 worth of food - realistically only two plates and two desserts. Unfortunately everything tasted bland and out of a can or frozen. The burnt ends were not good at all. It’s our favorite meat, so we typically get it everywhere available - the flavor was poor and it was not tender. The baked beans did not have bacon as mentioned on the menu, and actually tasted like Bush’s. The macaroni tasted like Stouffer's. The banana pudding wasn’t great, and the wafers were either home-made or off brand. We did like the peanut butter pie. Maybe the takeout experience is just not that great and we need to try dining in.

Stick with what they do best and it's five stars. Ribs, burnt ends, chicken thigh appetizer, Mac 'n cheese, cucumber salad, and collard greens are all top notch. Cole slaw has a picklish taste to it that is not as good as other places. Servers are always nice and welcoming. Solid beer list.

Food was awesome. Service was awesome. The atmosphere was quiet but then again, it was 3 o'clock on a weekday.

If I could give this place a million stars I would. Sincerely. I googled “best wings in Alpharetta” and this place popped up, when I showed up, I was greeted by an amazing server by the name Cameron, she was kind and I could tell she had great energy. I decided I wanted to try the wings and I also got mac & cheese, sweet mashed potatoes and the potato salad along with some fries, Cameron helped me go thru the menu and choose what items I needed. The food arrived super fast and it was absolutely delicious, everything was perfectly flavored and a good portion as well. I even took home some leftovers. Overall, this place was absolutely amazing and I will definitely be back and I will also refer anyone I know that is craving wings. It was hands down the best wings I’ve had. Cameron did an amazing job at being attentive, helping me decide what I wanted to eat, and making sure that I had everything I needed. Thank you for this amazing place yall are running i cant wait to be back!!!

Food was really good, the price for two thin slices of brisket I got was a little high in my opinion.

Diner beware! This restaurant is very tacky when you order extras. I was charged 50c for requesting Honey-mustard dressing. Also, the smoked turkey was very dry and overdosed with pepper!

Nice descent experience for lunch on a workday

I cannot thank Sophia enough for the amazing service today, I was waiting for my fiancé for about an hour after an event and she was so patient and attentive to my every need! Ask for her when you come in!

So, my first time in Alpharetta. The downtown is wonderful with LOTS of very good restaurants. I tried quite a few on my visit, but only went to one 3 times... And that would be Smokejack. For several reasons, but mainly because of the incredibly friendly service from one fantastic bartender... Lexi. Food and drinks were amazing, but the service is why we came back several times. All the food was VERY good, the smoked cheddar jalapeno sausage was standout delicious! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! AND, If you go say hi to Lexi behind the bar... She is fabulous!

Ribs dry white meat chicken dry. So so potato salad. Had smoked half chicken’Bama style. The dark meat was great , white meat dry. The baby backs should have been fall off the bone but were tough. Pricy for not so great food. Service great staff friendly

This was our first time at this restaurant and we will be back! We had the burnt ends and marbled beef brisket and it was absolutely delicious. I also had an old fashioned and that was great as well. Service was excellent, didn’t wait long for food, and it was a friendly atmosphere.

Best wings in Alpharetta. The kids outside playing corn hole were a bit annoying, otherwise pleasurable dining experience. Definitely not "black people" BBQ. The sides could use a bit more flavor

Every time we go we get "The Jack", an assortment of meats and 4 sides big enough for 2 people.

My sister and I found this place after a bike ride. It was absolutely amazing. Will go back soon.

Crap service. Im not waiting at a table for 15 minutes for even acknowledgement that a table was seated on a non busy Thrusday evening, especially for overpriced bbq. Not even worth it for the free gift card I received.

I gave this place 5 stars even though they were out of some things, but at 8 pm at night it’s expected that a BBQ place would be out of some things. The food was very good, several BBQ Sauces to try and all were good. We drove up from Atlanta to eat there, it was worth the trip. The service and atmosphere was great as well. If you want BBQ while visiting the Atlanta area, this is your spot!

I truly HATE stupidity. If I call ahead to place an order, it’s because I want it ready when I arrive. The moron (Jeremy) took the phone order but failed to mention that the order would not be sent in to the kitchen to prepare it until after it was paid. On the phone, he only asked if I felt comfortable paying ahead; yet never bothered to say that by paying when I arrived, the food would not be prepared in advance. What an absolute WASTE of time.

First time trying their turkey, which was seasoned along with being smoked. Never had this before. Ribs along with the greens and sweet potato were delicious. Everything came out hot. Service was ex cellent as well. Would patronize again.

Let me start off by saying that we have been going to smoke Jack since day one. While nothing is ever perfect this restaurant has been consistent, a great recommendation for friends and our go to barbecue joint down the street from our home. Today my family decided to take me there for Father’s Day after church. We arrived and put our name on the list and waited 10 minutes for our table. server was very friendly, and took our order right away. We ordered at 12:28 PM. Nothing extravagant two kids meals off of the kids venue and burnt ends and an order of chicken wings. The hostess stand sat the dining room way too quickly fuss causing a massive wave in the kitchen. We did not receive the first part of our food until 1:34 PM. I spoke to the server several times and he was very disheveled and apologetic, but said that the kitchen was completely in the weeds. then a young male manager with a 5 o’clock shadow came out to our table and said not to worry about the food he was taking care of the check. At this point, we had only received the kids meals which were both incorrect. They were given the wrong sides. We received our burnt ends , but still did not receive the chicken wings we ordered. It is now 1:48 PM and we still have not received our chicken wings. I approached several different servers to ask what was going on and I was told that they would be out as soon as they could. Meanwhile, tables next to us who had sat down after us were receiving chicken, wings and food. I’ve been in the hospitality/restaurant/hotel business for 30 years. when you get a wave in the kitchen, you take a step back and you orchestrate the food in the order that came in. You don’t send food out in bits and pieces because you don’t keep track of what the order is and whether or not it’s complete. I finally just asked for the check and a to go box and I told them not to worry about my meal. The server was very apologetic and brought me a bill for the full amount, including the chicken wings which we never received. I walked to the kitchen entrance , the manager who told us he was going to take care of the bill and we were told it was taken care of. The server apologized profusely. We insisted to still tip the server through Venmo. We tipped the server $50 just because he was completely sorry for the situation and you knew he was having a rough day. He offered for us to have the chicken wings to go because they had come up as we were getting ready to leave. Your manager told the server that we are not going to have the chicken wings because we didn’t pay for them. Remember, he offered us to pay for the bill because it took over an hour to receive our food then he tells us we can’t have the food that we ordered . The experience was embarrassing, unacceptable and completely disappointing. Needless to say, we will never return to smoke Jack, every executive chef, Food and beverage Director, restaurant owner that I know in the metro Atlanta area will hear about this experience. I had no intention to walk into your establishment and have free chicken wings. All I wanted was to eat my lunch for Father’s Day. Instead, we sat for one hour plus did not get all the food we ordered, and we’re told that we couldn’t have the food when it was ready , because you guys come to the Bill. Best of luck in the future with this management style.

Told myself I'd write a beaming review the first time I went here, but I totally forgot so here it is on the second return to Smokejack's! First off, the service here is amazing. Both times, we got the sweetest and most charismatic server ever, Faith! She was extremely friendly and warm, and we could not have asked for a better waitress! The first time we came, we has no idea what to order and she was helpful in suggestions and advice! Furthermore, the food is delicious, fresh, and had great portions for a reasonable price! Our meals came out quickly and everything was hot and ready to eat. So far, I've gotten the burger and the pulled pork here and they were absolutely delicious. I can't wait to return and try everything else! Definitely recommend!

We stopped in here for lunch based on the reviews. We sat outside and had a friendly server for our duration who even gave us some recommendations based on what is a popular order. As you can see from the pictures, we tried a lot of different items, and they were tasty. The fried pickles were not as amazing as some of the other food, though. This is a score to eat at if you happen to be in the area.

The food was absolutely yummy. We got the fried pickles for an appetizer. They were great. I had the 1/2 burnt ends with baked beans and the cucumber salad. Delicious. All of it. My daughter got the full rack of pork ribs with mac and cheese and french fries. It was a very large portion.It was delicious .

Very friendly and helpful waitress (Sophia). Super fast service. The food came out very quickly. The chips and salsa were a huge portion, and the salsa had a nice kick. The pulled pork was exactly what you expect from a quality BBQ place. My wife got the burnt ends, which I sampled. She almost didn't get them back. She is a BBQ snob, never liking BBQ in Atlanta, but when I asked how she would rate Smokejack, she said "10." I enjoyed the Brunswick stew. The Coca-Cola chocolate cake was delicious and a large portion, enough for two. Will definitely return.

OMG! If you have NEVER had burnt ends, don't eat them here! You will NEVER enjoy them anywhere else! You will forever compare them to Smoke Jack's! This baroque is the real deal! Take it from a Texan who prides ourselves on good BBQ! 👍🏼

Probably one of the best BBQ spots I’ve been to. Usually at a good BBQ spot the sides are trash but here everything was good! Been here 20years apparently! I see why ! A little of a drive but worth it !

Got Uber eats, but what came was pretty great. The selection was solid. What I like about their menu is that there are some dishes and small additions that to me distinguish it from other bbq restaurants. There are a lot of unique side dishes that for the most part tasted good. Meat was solid, brisket had good fat. Ribs were both a hit and a miss. I got an assortment. Very interested in the burnt ends for next time.

We went on a Saturday evening when the restaurant was more quiet than usual (per the waitress), and the food is absolutely dangerous (in a good way). We ordered 10 wings as an appetizer, and these wings were probably one of the best I’ve had. Not to mention that the wings were massive. It was like they came off some Jurassic Park chickens. 11/10. Would go back again.

This place is in a very cute little district of Alpharetta. Lots of cute stores and a little park across the street. The staff was super friendly and super pleasant and super helpful. The food was awesome.

We had fantastic service and good food on a recent Monday night visit. The amount of BBQ you receive is incredible. I think we made 3 more meals out of it that week. Good collards and Brunswick stew! Great server!

Great food! My wife and I shared the Flipping Good combo it was amazing. There was so much food we ended up taking some home. I will say that unless you like spicy ask for the ribs with no sauce or dry rub. I also had the Brunswick stew which was great. I highly recommend Smokejack BBQ

Best turkey BBQ! Best baby back ribs - Memphis style! Best corn pudding! Best sweet potatoes! Even the Field Greens Salad with Lemon Vinaigrette dressing was excellent. My wife and I both agree - Best BBQ joint!! Choice of four BBQ sauces: spicy, house, Carolina, and even 'Bama!

It's been a long time since I've had barbecue THIS good. Wow! We live in Gainesville and I'm willing to drive out to eat here again. The Brussels sprouts were hella good! The fried pickles we honestly perfection. I work at a place that serves them and the ones here were better! I got the pulled pork plate with brussel sprouts and baked beans. My husband for a sandwich and put friends got a shareable platter. There wasn't one single thing that wasn't absolutely phenomenal. I really really enjoyed this place. Out server was very cool and kind and knowledgeable. We were there about on 4/8 around 630 or 7 I think.

Very good BBQ! I got the brisket plate with a side of mac & cheese and collard greens. One Cajun and one cheddar smoked sausage. The frozen blueberry moonshine lemonade is really good. Food came out extremely fast and hot. Everything tasted great. I’ll definitely be returning. (Parking is crazy)

Location: It took me a minute to find parking, but it was busy on a Saturday. I really didn't pay attention to the inside because I placed an order to go. I waited outside for my food, and the server opened a window and passed me my food. Food: My hubby enjoyed the rib with rub seasons, and he enjoyed the collard greens. I ordered a pull chicken sandwich, and I enjoyed it. I didn't care for the brunswick stew. It was missing something. If I am on that side of town, I will order the ribs again.

The location is great, you can always walk around to utilize a few of the tons of calories consumed in the restaurant. It's easygoing and simple, not the healthiest food in the universe, but definitely the very good one.

While visiting Alpharetta, we went to Smokejack BBQ. Everything was great. Nice atmosphere, clean and spacious. Reagan, our waitress was attentive and very sweet. We ordered sandwiches. Brisket on Texas toast and Burnt Ends on Texas toast. For sides we had Broccoli Salad and roasted Brussel Sprouts. Everything was delicious. Beautiful old building in the heart of Alpharetta. Fair pricing. Highly recommend to BBQ lovers.

Incredible burnt ends. Amazing brussel sprouts. Brisket was great with the sauce from the burnt ends. The stew was original and tasty. Would highly recommend. I've had BBQ all over the US and this was definitely one of the highest ranking out there.

My girl and I came to the restaurant on Sunday 1st time there and our server was Matt he was fantastic Matt told us everything about the menu and he was spot on If you in the Alpharetta area give this restaurant a shot its fantastic and ask for Matt.

This food was incredible. Burnt ends and pulled pork were really good, but the marbled brisket was absolutely melt in your mouth. Sweet potatoes, baked beans, corn pudding, and Mac and cheese were some of the best we’ve had. Just insanely great honestly. Our waitress Stephanie was the absolute sweetest. She had great recommendations and was overall just really great. The food came out super quick and piping hot too. Just overall a really great experience. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in the area.

We've been here a handful of times and it has always been on point. The service is prompt and friendly. We ordered fried pickles, which is tossed in a seasoned salt and served with a chipotle aoili dipping sauce. Battered and fried perfectly. We also had the chopped pork sandwich "all jacked up" which is pickled onions, jalapeños, and cheddar cheese, on buttered texas toast. I asked for the spicy bbq sauce which paired great with it. Generous portion of pork. On the side was housemade potato salad with bacon. Also pictured is a kids pulled pork sandwich with mashed sweet potatoes. The kids sandwich did not come with any bbq sauce on it. The sweet potatoes were seasoned nice. Also we had a regular order of the pulled pork sandwich with fries. The fries were amazing. Not the slightest bit soggy. I would definitely get a side of their ranch as well. The prices aren't expensive compared to every other bbq place nowadays. With all this and three drinks was 45$. If you're going to go out and grab some bbq, this is where you need to be.

Can't speak to the restaurant location but what my wife and I got for delivery was so damn good. This joins one other place ATL that I think stand out for bbq.

We love Smokejack! The food is consistently delicious & the servers are always friendly. Many times we have been served by Stephanie & she does a great job - remembers us & the way we order certain items. My husband usually has 2 or 3 cups of soda when we are eating & she is proactive with noticing when we need another drink. We love the bbq brisket, pulled pork & chicken. The half chicken is delicious also.

During my visit to SmokeJack, I had the pleasure of being waited on by an exceptionally friendly server. My meal, THE JACK, was a delectable combination of Pulled Pork, Burnt Ends, Smoked Chicken (each 1/4 lb), 1/2 Rack Pork Ribs, 4 side choices, and 2 slices of Texas Toast. Although the portion size was generous and somewhat challenging to finish, I was pleasantly satiated, a rare occurrence when dining out. The establishment boasts a clean and tasteful decor, making it an inviting atmosphere. I undoubtedly plan on returning to celebrate my birthday.

Food not smoked enough for my liking

Was visiting Georgia from Florida and looking for a BBQ spot near me. Great service and didn't have to wait long at all for my food. Chris was my server and made sure I was good at all times.. last but not least, the food was A1! Will definitely be back in the future!
