Excellent pulled pork sandwich. Great smoke flavor and salt level. Satisfying wine pairing.

On behalf of My Education Solutions, we wanted to say Smokin AMJ BBQ did an awesome job. They did not disappoint, we got the Brisket plate with ranchero beans and creamy corn. We would Definitely recommend them to cater at your next event with their trailer to get the full experience. I wish we took a picture of the trailer set up and everything, but we were a little distracted by the food, Thank you Smokin AMJ BBQ.

Man they came to serve in my apartment complex and this place is soooooo good! Easily one of the top 2 smoked turkey sandwiches I’ve ever had and the portion was a lot. So flavorful and smoked to perfection. The cream corn was good but a little different than I’m used to. I will definitely eat here again without question.

Pulled pork sandwich was so good! Pork was super tender without falling out of the sandwich, sauce was amazing, and bun was soft and buttery.

We had Smokin AMJ Catering, caterer my nieces wedding the entire meal from cocktail hour to the reception. The server’s were professional the food was extremely delicious we had many people complementing their food and the Dino ribs were a huge hit. I would 100% hire them again for other events.

Saw the smoker trailer in my neighborhood on the way home from work and decided to check it out. 10/10 would recommend. Got the pulled pork sandwich for my wife, the 2 meat (Brisket and sausage) sandwich for myself, and the sausage sandwich for my son. All 3 were amazing. Didn't even need the BBQ sauce. The cream corn was also on point! Soooo amazing!

New review: The real test of a business is how they treat you when things didn’t go as planned. AMJ handled my concern so well that I felt bad afterwards and I wasn’t even in the wrong. Truly exceptional customer service! On top of the great food they already have, they added DINO RIBS with GREAT bark and juicy flavor. Texas Monthly needs to know about this food truck. This was my fourth or so time driving to their food truck and it’s consistently good. If I could leave a six star review, I would! Great job SMOKIN’ AMJ BBQ! Original review: This is one of those, “Where have you been my whole life?” kind of places. The brisket is actual smoked brisket with a strong bark, but still a soft and tender meat. The sausage sandwiches have buns that are toasted and loaded with sausage. I tried the jalapeño sausage and I think they either make it themselves or something because I could actually see medium bits of jalapeño and it was unlike any I’ve had in quite some time. The sauce was the right kind of tang mixed with sweet. I loved it!

The smoke flavor on this bbq is amazing. Brisket had good bark but that smoke flavor is what did it for me. The sausage was flavored great as well. Turkey was not dry and also had a great smoky flavor to it. If you love that taste of great smoke flavor bbq. This is it. The price is not bad for hum much is loaded in the sandwich. Will be back for that Dino rib next time.

Definitely one of the best local BBQ spots in South Texas hands down, have been following these guys for many years and have seen them grow to where they are now! The food is definitely on a different level, the brisket has that awesome bark you look for but yet still super tender! And you never knew how much you’ve needed to try a Dino Rib until you laid your eyes on these beasts! Great flavor that always leaves you coming back for seconds and thirds!

Very delicious definitely recommend, the smell clearly drew you in, it was heavenly. We couldn’t wait to try it out for ourselves. The brisket literally melted in your mouth that’s how tender it was. The pulled pork was a treat in itself as well the bbq sauce only brought out the smokey flavor even more it was great. If you’re doubting wether to try it , don’t simply don’t hesitate to try out their brisket and pulled pork it was outstanding!

Smokin AMJ was our caterer of choice for our daughters recent wedding. Their communication was fast and very professional..in fact I contacted several caterers and they were the first to respond. Some did not even bother responding. They arrived early, were neat and super professional in appearance, the food was just amazing, and they did an all round wonderful job. They were attentive to the bride and groom and head table without even being asked. They even cut the wedding cake for us. I highly recommend!

Absolutely loved their mouth-watering Dino Ribs. It’s $20 but very well worth it !!

Im on the membership Services team for San Antonio FC. Val at Smokin AMJ BBQ was able to help us out for our Exclusive Jersey Reveal Party for our Season Ticket Members at Cowboys Dancehall! I have tried a little of everything from something simple as sausage to all his slowed cooked meats. Brisket, pulled pork, and fajitas. Meat is so tender and you can taste the smoke in the meat and know that it was cooked nice and slow in the pit. Food is awesome and goes well with a nice cold one. If you want good bbq for a good price and portion. I suggest you find where he is set up and try it. Promise you won’t be disappointed.
