The seasoning was okay but the portions were ridiculous. I paid almost $30 for the whole chicken combo and they packed it in a round container the same container they pack the rice in. The chicken was so small that there was still a lot of room left in the container after it was cut into 4 pieces. It was definitely not worth the price we paid. When we started eating we also noticed that a lot of the chicken was still undercooked, some of the meat was still pink underneath. I usually order from Lena y carbon but decided to pick up from here since I was close by but never again.

After showing some Properties in Hudson County I stomped onto this warm, small Peruvian restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. I was welcomed by Mariana who made sure I understood the menu and the specials. The Peruvian music and their simple decor made me feel like I was somewhere else. If you are in the area and looking for a good and affordable meal with good service, this is a good place to go.

I have never physically been here. I always order through DoorDash. Food is delicious! Customer service over the phone is one of the bests I have received in Jersey city/Union city and I work in restaurant as well. If they ran out of something they offered me other varieties. (I majority of the time order late, close to closing) Griselda is the sweetest! I had an issue with my order and she went above and beyond to make it happen for me. Now I want to physically go and enjoy their in person service! You guys rock!

Food portions were good and the service was great. Small spot so it can feel crowded when all the tables are filled. Our waitress was really prompt and got us our food in a timely manner. I had the Lomo w/ fried rice and my wife had the shrimp lomo w/ fried rice. While my dish was a bit salty for my liking hers was the opposite with not much flavor to it. Overall decent experience. Parking is a nightmare so be prepared to find parking multiple blocks away if you’re lucky.

One of the best Peruvian restaurants in the tri State area…my favorite dish…ceviche carretero! A lot of good effort and flavors in this dish!❤️

On the last Saturday I celebrated my birthday with my friends, this time I had the opportunity to have the pleasure of sharing in my favorite restaurant and the quality, good service and availability of the staff to help in each special celebration is truly impressive and definitely the best dishes of my favorite food. Especially the presentations with fish in its different presentations.

2nd time here, and I loved it . I got fried calamari, and they were so good. For the main course I ordered sudado de pescado and that was also very delightful. I knew I also had to have a fish soup next to me and it was delicious. The service is impeccable. I like it very much.

I was there today for my dinner I ate after a long time spicy meat and chicken stew I always go for my dinner at this restaurant I usually eat my ceviche but I always ask for these special dishes and they never have them available; I really like going there but I like it more when there is availability of soups and my favorite dishes. Thank you very much, I really love going to this family-friendly and special restaurant in the area.

Myself and my workers were leaving the city pretty late in a mood for some Peruvian food. Sure enough this popped up and it was great! Mariella was our waitress and very tentative to us. My workers had the lomo saltado and didn’t leave one rice. I had the Anticuchos and Chaufa de pollo y Carne it was delicious definitely stop in again!

I came here 3 to 4 years ago and it was a disaster. A trusted source told me they were good so I gave it another try and I gave it a rating of only 5 stars because there is no 6... In fact they very worried about costumer service that some douche bag people order their food over the phone for a schedule time, the waiter place their food on the table as schedule and they got there late and didn't say anything and place the same order. Waiter noticed it was them and he literally bent over backwards to please them and told them I care about what you think. Jajaja I would of charged them twice and banned them from ever coming back to the restaurant!!

A first for me and mine and all I can say is exceptional food and service . Could not have asked for better. If you’re in the area it’s a must have.

Overall the experience at this restaurant was amazing. The food was very tasty and the restaurant was very clean. The service from the waitress Griselda was also very amazing, she is extremely attentive and friendly, she completely brings the atmosphere to the restaurant! I completely recommend coming here for some good food.

My first time there, I only had the roast chicken with fried rice and tostones. The food was really good. I like that they open till late 11:30pm and the food was still fresh, compare to other Peruvian restaurants that close early in the area. Will definitely go back

August 2021: This place lacks in quality now. Quality in food, taste, portions, drinks, and waitresses. I went in with a small group of 4. We had to ask for more plates as she only gave us 2 to share the family jalea. After handing us the plates, She gave an attitude about it saying you should have asked for more before. Its your job to take pur order/requests and you should know how to count. And tell the boss you can’t wait 6 tables at once if its hard for you The jalea wasn’t them same and has decreased in portion as well. We ordered their purple drink, chia i think is what it is called and they used to make it in house. We saw the waitress pull out this juice bottle from the bar area and serve our glasses. We thought maybe they store it there until we left the restaurant. The waitress pulled out a full unopened bottle and serve from there!!!!! Their menu states parties over 10 automatically get charged 18% as tip. We were 4 and they charged us the 18%. 5 years ago: Their jaleh is amazing <3 and they have very nice people working there

Sol Chicken has great options for food. My family and I love ordering the chicken with the fried rice. The fried rice has such a flavor that makes you want to consume more. Chicken is well cooked and seasoned. I recommend this peruvian restaurant!

Love the Peruvian tamal with a garnish of limey white raw onions. They serve beer and sangria...no other drinks.

2 of us got pollo la brasa and 2 of us got the pollo/lomo saltado. The food was good for the price and the service was great. They automatically add the 18% tip so be aware of that when you pay.

We ate there with my dad. The food was delicious. We were all pleased.

Traditional Peruvian Cuisine. Try the Ceviche (The Latinamerican version of Sushi) Their Roasted Chicken good, flavorful, moist and tender. Try it with Arroz Chaufa (Latinamerican version of Fried Rice) and Papas(Potatoes) or Yuca(Cassava) A La Guancaina (Spicy Cheese Sauce) The fideos en Salsa Verde(Noodles in Green Sauce) and Anticuchos are good to. Price is average and the place to and experience ethnic food👍👍

Good food! Lots of it! I couldn't believe the amount we ordered and the bill we received, even including the drinks. So much value for money. And the food is delicious - everything we ordered - and we ordered a lot! Authentic, flavorful and copious. They have a bar with most popular drinks, but not everything. The staff were nice and helpful, except for a slight linguistic barrier. Hope your Spanish is good. It's at a convenient place. I will definitely go there again.

Someone should've said this: THEY INCLUDE "TIP" for dining in. But here is the catch: 15% tip for two people. Nothing fancy, simple order yet we paid almost $10 tip.

Waiter was attentive. So service was good, unfortunately if your a meat eater I wouldn't recommend. I ordered a lomo saltado with beef and I had maybe 3 half strips of beef in it mostly onions and a few fries :(

The food is so so, but the attention is nice, the seafood is just rice and the seafood is as a ghost.

Food was excellent. Staff were friendly and patient as we tried to decide what to order and answered all our questions.

Don't listen to any of these negative reviews.. amazing food.. amazing service.. would recommend. Visiting NY from Canada just trying random restaurants. Best chicken you can get so far! Waiting came to the table 3 times to ask how everything was.. and spoke perfect English. Unlike what some of these people say. Awesome restaurant!

My experience was good I enjoyed the chicken and my father got a skirt steak both the seasoning was good. The only down side is that I ordered a dessert that I didn't recieve.

Food is really good and tasty. The ambience could use some changes... It's kinda dark inside and the delivery bicycle parked in the restaurant kills any possible vibe. Service could use some help as well. Servers could write the order for a starter. It always work. Make sure you have them repeat your order back, since they seem to forget something all the time. Don't expect them to come and check on you... If you need something, be ready to wave your hand and try to call their attention. But, again, the food it's worth it.

The food was good but they didn't start cooking it until we got to the restaurant at least thirty (30) minutes after we ordered. We had to wait and it seemed that none of the staff spoke English. I had to go online to find the Spanish word for bread, to ask them for the bread and that infamous sauce. I'm like this is totally unacceptable, the very thought of foreigners coming here and not taking ESL before applying for anything else is ludacrist. I'm pissed that America accommodates anyone to the point where now foreigners don't even feel a sense of urgency to learn to speak the language of the country they choose to reside in. We didn't go to there country and hand pick people to come to America they chose to come here. If any American born citizen went to any other country we're urgently trying to learn there language so that we will be able to enjoy ourselves, they don't accommodate us like American accommodates all nationalities

Petit restaurant sans prétention où les ouvriers du coin viennent déjeuner et qui offre une cuisine simple mais généreuse et savoureuses. Les crevettes (camarones) sont délicieuses dans leurs sauce citronnée à l'ail et à la coriandre, et le cocktail de fruits frais préparé directement au blender mérite à lui seul le déplacement.

the food is very good, the prices are good, you can eat in or take it to go; parking can be a problem on crowded Bergenline Avenue; try the papas a la Huancaina ( potatos in a cramy sauce ); there are some very cheap selections to choose from.

We've been missing peruvian chicken since we moved to New Jersey from Arlington Va (home of the great El Pollo Rico). But a quick Google search found this place, a 20 minute drive from our house. It's a sit-down place, and there is plenty on the menu besides chicken. But ordered a whole chicken and a side of beans, rice and plaintains, and we had plenty left over. The chicken was most and delicious, and the sides were excellent too. Not sure it's a tourist destination but for people in the area, it's a definite find.

Definitely worth the trip from NYC. Only 10-15 min. from 42nd St. & 8th Ave (from Port Authority take the 127, 108, 123, 159 and other bus options). Food was excellent! Service was what you'd expect and the decor was very nice. Very enjoyable.
