I have never felt more welcome at a restaurant. The owner greeted us, chatted with us for a little while, and she also provided a complimentary order of spring rolls. The food was fresh, fresh, fresh! and very flavorful. She explained that the food is Cantonese style. We'll be back.

We got songs as a splurge because we don't usually have the money to rest out. I evened out the bill to 50$ for an even number. When I checked our bank songs took 63 dollars from me. An extra 13 from the price on the receipt. I no longer have the receipt so there's not much I can do but definitely won't eat there again.

I went to Songs for the first time today and i had a great experience! Connie was soo nice, the place was clean and the food was amazing! I’ll definitely start being a regular there for the spicy garlic eggplant alone however everything else we got there was great as well. what we got and would definitely order again: spicy garlic eggplant, kung pao fish, chicken & green beans, and beef chow fun. definitely going back to try the roast duck and bbq pork next time. spent around $45 and have A LOT of leftovers. i recently moved for the season from southern California and this is the best asian food in all the enchanted circle that i have found so far. much love to Song’s and Connie

Delicious Chinese food! Connie Ren is a delight! She and her husband are owners operators and do a terrific job at producing wonderful food at a very reasonable price served in a clean, tidy, relaxed atmosphere. Only open for dinner. Service was ok. The food wasn’t very good. The orange chicken was swimming in a syrupy red sausage that tasted more like a sweet and sour sauce. The chicken was like a chicken nugget and seemed like a processed chicken product. The inside of the restaurant was ok, but not very clean. The windows were covered with an oily film that made them cloudy. We will not be returning to this restaurant again.

Worst customer service ever. Waited 30 minutes to pick up order, waited another 30 minutes at the EMPTY restaurant, watched 2 tables get seated and walk out after waiting with no service. Food is okay - might even be good if it wasn’t cold and if they managed to actually get the complete order. Yep, just to add insult to injury we paid for food they didn’t give us.

My family and I went to Song's Restaurant after a long day of road trip. We are not from the area, so we didn't know what to expect but I am so glad that we went there. The owner greeted us as we entered the restaurant, and she was so very sweet and patient the whole time. She was very friendly and made us feel so welcomed. She took time to explain what they had on the menu and patiently waited as we debated on what to order. We did a to go order. After we arrived at our hotel room and opened the food, we realized that she packed paper plates and few other things that we needed to comfortably eat at the hotel room. The food was delicious. Portion sizes were large. We had leftovers to eat the next day. We called the restaurant to thank her, but I think they may have been closed for the day as it was later in the evening. Thank you for the great experience, service, and food after a long tiring day!

Garbage food!!! I don't get all the good reviews???? Don't be fooled by the good reviews and the outdated photos posted on the website! Nothing looks like that!!! This restaurant is a tourist trap!! Wasted $100 on poor quality food! Luckily didn't get food poison! The seafood dish recommended by the lady owner is not fresh and tasted like dated frozen food! The roasted duck served is all bones and the meat is so hard to chew! Overall, this restaurant is overrated and overpriced with small portions!

Ordered the chef’s special chicken. It was not only fried so hard that it was impossible to eat, the sauce was thick as jelly and tasted like pure vinegar. Nothing about it was orange chicken. The pork fried rice had a sour smell and we we count not eat it either. I gave this 1 star for egg rolls which was the the only edible part of ourtake out dinner.

Relatively new to Taos, and this was my first visit to Songs. ordered Honey walnut shrimp and a bowl of Hot and Sour soup to go. The shrimp was very good and would order it again, as it is my favorite dish. Next time I will dine in, as some dishes don't travel well. Connie, sweet Lady, did put sauce on the side. The Hot and sour soup was very tasty, but lacked tofu, mushrooms, bamboo shoots and some type of animal protein (chicken or pork).

While I appreciate vegan options with tofu and vegetables, the dishes we got were pretty bland. We got the pad thai, which did not taste like anything besides the peanuts which were on top. We got the spicy garlic family tofu, which was at least spicy, and the tofu and vegetables and brown sauce which was generically salty. In a pinch they were open when a lot of other places werent and they got the food to us when they said they would, but if I had other options I would eat somewhere else.

Hands down the best Chinese meal I’ve ever had. The service was excellent, great portions of food, great prices. They don’t have all the extra decorations and ambiance items most places have but with how great the food was that doesn’t matter to me. You can tell they are investing their money into quality fresh ingredients. I’d say the only downside is the only refill on my water happened after I had already eaten my meal. Otherwise, no complaints!

Connie is a delightful lady, but the food was NOT GOOD. I've had Chinese food all over the North American continent and this ranks the absolute lowest. The pot stickers were very good, but everything else was inedible. We had orange chicken and pad thai-- couldn't finish any of it-really a shame, because we very much wanted to be overwhelmed with the place. There was a bad flavor to everything except the pot stickers and the pad thai- the pad thai just had no flavor. So sorry, but we just cannot recommend this place

A surprisingly good Chinese food in Taos. I certainly didn't have much expectation when I googled "Chinese food near me". But I ended up eating here exclusively after paying $10 for God-awful Sonic Burger the first night. Twice cooked pork is one of my favorite dishes and they had it on the menu. It came with bell pepper, onion and salary rather than cabbage I'm used to. But it was really good. The next day, I ordered broccoli chicken. The brown sauce on it was one of the best without being greasy. I highly recommend both. The service is slow, however. I think it's two-person operation with one cook and one server. But, if you are not in hurry, you'll get a very good Chinese food at very reasonable price here.

Understand before you go you may have a wait. She is open only half days and based off what I saw the owner is the hostess, takes your order and cleans the tables. I didn't see the cook, but as fast as she moved it wouldn't surprise me if she did that too. With that said the food is worth the wait. My wife and I both agree they put a lot care in their preparation and the food was great. I would suggest trying their dumplings, by far they are the best we've had. She comes in every day for two hours a day just to make them.
