I went there two days in a row, the first experience was excellent. I ordered the Jabati Wrap it was so good I went back the next day & ordered the Rice & Lamb Shank. Healthy portions very good tasting food. I highly recommend this Restaurant. Clean Restaurant, professional & courteous Customer Service. Very nice experience. Ismail is very polite & makes sure the food is quality. His Father Aweis the Owner personally made my second order the following day. I ate like a King & was respected to the fullest as a Customer. These guys are awesome. Try it. I promise you will not be disappointed. Price is not expensive for what you get quality wise, & just being overall genuine people as well in their services was awesome. Best food around I promise. Thank you very much Guys. I'm definitely a satisfied Customer I'll be a regular for life.

This is such an unexpected lucky find. At first I just walked past this small and somewhat unassuming, storefront. When just as I had almost past the door, I looked down and my eye caught Sophina's colorful menu. Printed in full color delicious plates of foreign (to me) cuisine tempted my tummy. Sophina's menu was tantalizing. From fish to beef and chicken in between, it all looked good. Peeking at the time on my phone and the hours posted on the door I saw that it was after closing. I was disappointed to say the least. I catch a glimpse of 4 men inside and wonder if maybe I had been wrong. I eagerly opened the door and asked the man behind the counter if they were open. He kindly responded with a Yes. That's all I needed to hear. With a huge smile on my face I walked in and headed to the counter. I had already promised myself that "next time" when they were open, I would get the Beef Sandwich. So without hesitation I tell the young man that I would like to have the beef sandwich to go please. It was a hot day and I had a frozen beverage (from Clown Cone) in my hand. He did not ask if I needed an drink and he didn't give me a hard time about having outside beverages either. He did offer me fries with my sandwich , but I declined. But had I tasted the Beef Sandwich before he offered I would have changed my answer to yes. Sophina's beef sandwich was AMAZING!!! Think a Philly Cheese Steak made with love and extra beef. That's what I was served. The wait time was short, the food was hot and I was incredibly satisfied. I am looking forward to trying out the other menu options. I greatly recommend this small restaurant in North linden. I was quite happy I did.

This was my first experience with Somali food and people. Sophina and her family provided an exceptionally enjoyable dining experience for newcomers. They offered complimentary food and drinks, checked in on us at the table, and always had warm smiles at the ready. One plate feeds two, and the quality of the meat and produce was amazing! We happened in on a lark, after having seen the excellent Google Reviews. The reviews did not lie. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! The service was friendly and good 😊. The food was hot, tasty, very authentic and just plain wonderful 👏❤️🇸🇴. The space was clean 🧹. The prices were fair 💲 Sophina's is on our list of places to eat now ✅. The guy was super nice and friendly it was my first time trying this place although I’ve lived so close! Definitely going back, I’m Mexican and was looking for Mexican food but found this gem instead.

Soup has been nasty and the sambuso wasn’t all chicken they give u old food im done being nice I ordered all chicken after my soup was spoiled and thy gave me one beef spoiled threw up

The environment was very smooth and calm from the time that we walked in and Finally sit down. We were greeted immediately By a young man Who quickly walked us through the menu and gave us samples of the dishes that we were unfamiliar with. I ended up choosing goat w\ White rice and lentil soup which comes free if you eat in. To say that This was a positive experience would be an understatement. Great tasting food along with great customer service and a good environment makes a good experience when you're eating. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is a newcomer to untraditional American food. Meaning not American food And would highly recommend the goat with white rice or the lamb.

The food here is so delicious 😋 fresh and very tasty. We had the rice with beef stew and rice with goat, lots of food, big Portion meal for one person 🍽.

I have been to this restaurant a few times. I have had the chicken wings, goat, salmon, lentil/chicken soup and jasmine rice. All things were absolutely delicious!! I have taken out and returned to eat in. The tables and utensils were clean. The servers were so kind and hospitable it was like visiting a place with good friends with a sincere sense of community. The opportunities for upgrade was the decor and appearance could use some tidying up and a little makeover. The food here is so well seasoned and cooked well, I definitely plan to return here often!

The staff here is beyond wonderful. They treat you like family. I tried the Sambusa on my first visit and it was delicious.

Stumbled upon this place while thrifting next door. Open for dine-in and takeout. Appears to be a small family business, and the service is really hospitable. While waiting for our food they offered us free tea, and even gave us an additional drink just because we were two people (we only ordered one combo). At first glance the prices for a combo appear expensive at $13 but it’s a large portion of food, a full container of meat and rice. More than enough for one person - and in fact, enough to comfortably feed our family of 3. Note that they may not have all menu items at all times - when we went they only had one appetizer item. Overall a great deal with a massive portion for the price and kind folks working there, will be back!
