THE BEST SOURDOUGH BREAD I HAVE EVER TRIED!!! Seriously… even the gluten free is amazing and that’s a hard one… if you are not a gluten free fan don’t worry you’ll have +20 varieties to choose from ! THIS IS A PORCH PICKUP BY PREORDER BUSINESS. (They have delivery too) It’s super easy you just place your order on their website and set the day you want to do your porch pick up at their house. If you are lucky you might get the chance to meet Andy. He is a great guy! It’s a win/win: support small business/ get high quality products.

This is the healthiest and best quality bread available. I've been eating it for the last few months as part of my recovery and they were very helpful with my dietary requirements. I'm now buying the Healthy 4 grains. I highly recommend his bread for anyone but especially if you have sensitive dietary needs.

Andy is such a wonderful person and has been so helpful not only in the products I’ve purchased from him but also in the advice he has given me about making my own sourdough. I bought the sourdough starter container for him that has been a game changer in building my own culture, and he has been more than willing to offer up suggestions and help when I sent him some pictures of sourdough I made.

I was born and raised in Indianapolis but have lived in New York City for the last 6 years. I came back to Indy for Christmas with two loafs of bread waiting for me from my mom. I’m an avid cyclist, and my mom knows I love carbs, bread and staying healthy, which don’t always go together. I was excited to try but I was a bit skeptical because I’ve had plenty of homemade bread before and NYC is home to the most famous bread in the country. When I tried the freshly baked Basic Whole Grain with Eisele’s Raw Honey bread, my eyes lit up. All the pride and snobbery I had for New York bread went out the window. Andy has really cracked the code to bread-making. It wasn’t only the taste and texture but also the presentation, the meticulousness of the instructions, the quality of the ingredients and the feeling after eating. I felt light and energized instead of being in a carb coma. I believe that’s because of the quality organic ingredients Andy uses. Overall, it was an amazing experience from start to finish and I would stack this bread up right next to any New York bread any day of the week.

We LOVE Sourdough Heaven! I had been searching for great bread for quite awhile when I stumbled across Andy’s website. Happily, my search is over- this bread is nothing short of fantastic! Andy is truly an expert when it comes to bread— every loaf is delicious, and he uses only the best, most nutritious ingredients. We are customers for life!

Update 10/06/23: This October, on German -American Day, I was able to get my bread fresh from Andy. I was amazed at the results after baking it at 340 degrees for 25 minute. Thanks for your amazing craftsmanship with "das Brot" I first have to say I am a bit of a bread snob, growing up in Germany where bread is a recognized, official part of our cultural heritage That said, Andy and his bread are pretty darn close to the highest of my bread standards. It is among the best breads I have had in the Midwest, and I know the ingredients are the healthiest----bread is chemistry! Coco and I ordered the Rye with Caraway, Fennel Seeds and Eisele's Raw Honey. After allowing the bread to reheat an additional 4 minutes longer in my oven than the instructions on the packaging recommended (as ovens tend to vary), my house smelled like a bakery. The crust was perfect, just like the Bauernbrot I remember in Germany. The inside was soft and one can instantly taste the caraway , fennel and honey. I paired the bread with unsalted butter--which minimized the fennel a bit more to my liking-- and a raw Speck/Black Forest ham and it was all simply amazing. I think my next order will be one of the much reviewed sourdoughs in the hope my virtual trip to Germany (thanks to Andy's bread) continues with it! Nice work, Andy. PS: My wife recently (10/2021) sampled one of Andy's Gluten-Free breads and commented that this is one the few gluten free bread that had great texture :)

San Francisco has NOTHING on Sourdough Heaven. I don't honestly know where to start, except to say that our entire family LOVED the wheat sourdough bread (everything else was sold out). Let me say, that we were not disappointed. This was the best bread we have EVER HAD. THE VOTE WAS UNANIMOUS!!!!! We can't wait to try other flavors, as well!

Wow, this bread is amazing!! My husband and I had the Mediterranean Olive, and it was so delicious. The quality of this bread is outstanding. The baking instructions were very clear and easy. Andy is so kind, helpful, and so passionate about the bread he makes!

Andy is super kind, knowledgeable, and generous. I reached out asking if he sells his starter, and he was so kind to prepare and give me some Trailblazer starter at no charge. He made sure it was very active and alive when I picked it up and gave me enough flour mixture for 3 feedings. I just made my first two loaves using the starter and they look and smell great. He also took the time to talk to me about his process and answer any of my questions. I bought a healthier classic loaf as well and we are looking forward to trying it. I can tell that he knows his science and has a great deal of experience with sourdough. Highly recommend!

Andy was very kind to share some of his sourdough starter with me when I mentioned I am looking to upgrade my home pizza making with some whole wheat flour and sourdough. His kindness, warmth and hospitality were wonderful gifts and I hope to return to share some pizza with him.

We tried the cheddar cheese with jalapeno and chives and the gluten free. Both were amazing due to the taste, crisp crust, and soft interior. Loved the cheese and jalapeno combination. The gluten free bread was the best we have had and you would not be able to tell that it didn't have gluten! The ordering and pick up was quick and easy. Thank you for making such tasty and healthy sourdough bread and for providing a gluten free option!

Sourdough Heaven is the perfect name for this wonderful business! We have tried the San Francisco Style Whole Wheat, the 4 Whole Grain Flours with Eisele's Raw Honey and the Italian Tuscan Herb Seasonings and Turmeric. All are fabulous! Andy uses only the best ingredients to make the perfect, healthiest and tastiest loaf of bread. He takes great care to be sure that you are a satisfied customer. I highly recommend!

I got the Sourdough Cheddar Cheese with Jalapeños and Chives loaf. By following the very clear and simple baking instructions, my bread came out perfect! This bread has a wonderful crunchy crust, much like French bread, and is soft, moist, and hearty on the inside. The Jalapeño flavor is great, and it provides a little heat with a delicious tangy Jalapeño flavor. There is just the right amount of cheddar cheese in it, and the chives complement the Jalapeño and cheddar very nicely. The bread is very satisfying and one could make a meal out if it! I really love this bread, and I look forward to getting another loaf, and trying other Sourdough Heaven varieties. Two thumbs up!

I wanted to strengthen my healthy diet with the best quality sourdough I could find. This lead me to Sourdough Heaven and I've been ordering ever since. We tried the chocolate cherry bread. It was amazing.

Amazing quality and taste. You can tell that they truly honor the artisan process of bread making. Also great that whole grain flours are used as I don’t handle refined grains well. The texture of the crust was like French bread but the inside was soft and hearty. You really get what you pay for and the bread stayed moist for days. Will be giving these as gifts in the future. So good!

Name: joy Mr. Andy, I had the opportunity of tasting your lovely Cheddar Chees with Tuscan Herbs Bread. When Gary Lear placed this delectable piece of food art in my hands. I knew it was going to be delicious. I could smell the herbs. I could not wait to bake it. I placed it with some Red Wine, Pesto Pasta cherry tomatoes grilled zucchini and a little parmesan. I wish I had this famous Chocolate Sourdough with Chocolate Chips and Organic Cherrie Bread. I see I can order this. I will plan on doing so. I thank Gary for introducing your nice warm comforting bread.

Andy Anderson’s bread of Sourdough Heaven is the best I have ever had. It is a true artisan sourdough made with the very best, truly high-end whole wheat flour from very exclusive parts of the US and Canada using an outstanding starter. The crust of all his breads I tried: Garlic & herbs, Cheddar & Jalapeño, Savory Chocolate etc. was always a perfect and delectable deep dark brown, the texture so moist while perfectly cooked with ideal aerated look & consistency to it. Flavors were always spot on, so similar to the best Parisian loaf boules that I have had in Versailles & Paris region growing up all my childhood till the start of adulthood!… Highly recommended! Superb Sourdoughs!…

All the flavors were delicious….you sense the quality and bakery craftsmanship. My neighbors raved about it, but the chocolate cherry was off the chart. Great with a light red…delicious. I loved them all! Highly recommended.

We had the cheddar, jalapeño and chives and it was unbelievably delicious and beautiful to look at. Instructions were very easy to follow. Definitely will try other flavors!

Excellent quality and tasty bread! Ordered a couple of loaves to try including the Asiago and sun dried tomato as well as the gluten-free loaf for a friend. The Asiago had great flavor and amazing crust. My friend tried the gluten-free and said it was the best gluten free sourdough that she’s had locally! Andy does a great job and puts a lot of care into his loaves. Highly recommend.

We devoured a loaf of the San Francisco Style Whole Wheat bread, and it was delicious! A firm but flaky dark outer crust with a wonderful soft texture inside made it a perfect accompaniment to our home-cooked meal. There’s nothing like small-batch bread!

The Cheddar Cheese with Tuscan Herbs and Turmerc bread was the perfect complement to our Saturday night Italian dinner party. The bread was delicious. I, also, would like to thank Andy for his efforts in producing this wholesome selection of sourdough bread. This bread is top notch, unlike any other bread I've tried! I highly recommend the Asiago with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Rosemary loaf or the Garlic and Herb loaf. Delicious, and freezes well!

When perusing the menu I thought the organic cherries with toasted pecans, cinnamon and honey sounded intriguing. I had never had this combination before but must say it is a winner !. I found the texture to be soft and smooth and the flavors were easily independently tasty yet blended and paired perfectly with each other. If you like sour dough bread . My recommendation is to give Sourdough Heaven a try. Why buy the rest when you can start with the best. Thanks Andy.
