Arrived and was faced with a 30 minute wait. Was put on a waitlist, no call or text to notify you when it was ready. You just have to wait by the desk or outside. Y’all - the vibes were on in there. Theming in the floors and on the walls. Walked in and was immediately greeted by a small waiting room with a front desk. Server brought us to our table. Multiple dining rooms in here. Ordering was fast, this place was busy I don’t know how the staff got everywhere. Once food came out it was delicious!! Got full fast. Some of the best home fries I’ve ever had! Once we finished, we got the check and went to the front desk and paid there, no excess waiting time. Loved this honestly.

Great food! Overheard waitresses discussing what angle the sunlight was coming through the front windows and how they wouldn't seat anyone at certain tables for a short time due to the glare potential. That is by far the most considerate thing I've heard at a restaurant. Ever. On top of the good service and my wife discovering a new favorite breakfast item: scrapple , they more than earned 5 stars!

5 Star all the way! By far the best breakfast in Cape Canaveral. Let's start with the eggs benedict which was absolutely perfect and almost is never the case anywhere. To get every element of the Benedict perfect and deliver the food hot is not just an art but it's also a science. This is not an easy task for a kitchen especially a busy kitchen. You can have a talented chef and still have at least one component of the Benedict that arrives imperfect. I had the southern Benedict which came with fried chicken instead of ham and it was absolutely the best Benedict of my life and I am a Benedict lover. I will order this dish anytime it appears as a chef special. This was delicious amazing the eggs were perfectly cooked the Hollandaise was perfect the Fried Chicken was the most delicious Fried Chicken I've ever had and even right down to the English muffin which was cooked perfectly this dish blew me away. The server told me it would and she was spot on. So if you have any questions about what to order you need to listen to your server, they know what they are talking about here. My server was Fefe and she is top of the line. Lots of reviews talk about the wonderful staff but let me just say that it is such a pleasure as an industry professional to dine out and be taken care of by industry professionals. Charming doesn't even begin to tell the story. Also just wanted to say that the Grits were the best that I've ever had and you can get grits everywhere in the south. These had a base of flavor that is hard to explain I first thought well maybe the cooking liquid has been flavored with a ham bone but I'll tell you what I really have no idea what was going on with these grits but they were absolutely delicious. Just enough cheese will that going overboard although in my world there is no such thing as too much cheese, the grits arrived hot, creamy and delicious. My dining companion had a Breakfast Platter which she loved and described as one of the best breakfasts she's ever had. The orange juice is a show stopper. Ask them about it. Tastes like fresh squeezed. Overall this restaurant delivered and I can't wait to go back. I'm sure that they really don't need another Rave review but I just couldn't help myself. Southern Charm is a true Cape Canaveral treasure.

Place is very clean. Has the equivalent of five store fronts. Making a large local restaurant with ample seating. Both table and booths available. The furniture is 1950's, 1960's decor. In very good repair. No rips in the vinyl. Walls are clean with many nostalgia items hanging.Food and service I reted four star. Why not 5 stars ? I ordered a Spanish omelette. Very tasty , very fluffy. I guess I expected more from the restaurant because of some reviews my coworkers gave me . Back to the omelette. Only one slice of cheese was placed on top of the eggs and under the sauce. The grits were served in a side cup the size of a small ice cream dixie cup similar to the kind one buys at the supermarket six or twelve to a box. They were tasty. The fresh baked biscuit was delicious. Seemed to be made from scratch. I asked the waitress if it was possible to have some sausage gravy on top . The reply was $3.99 additional. Almost half of what the omelette cost . Service was meh. Waitress came to my table couple of times and when I had a small amount of coffee in my cup she did not offer to top it off .

Stopped here after getting off my cruise. So glad I chose this place, the wait time wasn’t long at all. When it came to getting both seated and served, we were helped right away. The drinks came out fast, the food came out fast and hot! We enjoyed our meal. The server was amazing! She did a great job at making sure our drinks were filled and checked on us a respectful amount of times. All staff members greeted us with a smile. Cute cafe with friendly staff. They were a little slow about checking on you after food drop off and keeping drinks topped off, but were great otherwise. The food was delicious. I wish they gave you more okra, because it tasted just like when grandma used to cook them after she brought them in from the garden!! This cafe is half of the strip mall at least, so a little noisy and a bit of a wait when busy. It's worth it though. We'll be back.

If you’re looking for a cozy, home-style dining experience, Southern Charm Cafe is the place to be! From the moment we walked in, the hospitality felt like coming home to Grandma’s or your favorite auntie’s house. The warmth and friendliness of the staff made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delightful. The biscuits were huge and fluffy, and the grits were perfectly creamy—no need to add a thing, just enjoy with a spoon. We had a very large party of 20 after leaving the port, and they accommodated us without any issues. The portions are generous, ensuring everyone leaves satisfied. A special shoutout for their military/veteran discount, which we greatly appreciated. They even celebrate you on your special day, getting the entire restaurant involved in the celebration, making it an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend Southern Charm Cafe for anyone looking for delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Not worth the hour plus wait. Ended up waiting 35 minutes for a table in the hot, crowded entrance area. When my name was called to be seated, I was shocked to see four open, clean tables available. Why the wait if all the tables are free? We ordered our food and 35 minutes later it came, missing a fruit bowl. We ordered eggs, fruit, hashbrowns and a waffle. Nothing extravagant but it sure did take a long time to arrive. I chose this restaurant to dine at because this is a veteran-owned business and I wanted so show my support. However, it just wasn't worth it.

Wow! What a gem! We found this spot by asking our hotel next door - Springhill. If you are looking for "good ole Southern cooking," this is what you get. I had waffles with blueberries and walnuts, complete with cream on top with a side of bacon. My husband enjoyed grits, hashbrowns , sausage, and biscuits. His sausage was a recommendation by our waitress to be slightly spicy and great. When it arrived, it wasn't so good. My husband thought it had been warmed over because it tasted chewy. Our waitress was prompt in supplying him with a fresh order, which was much better. It's a small, quaint place with excellent service and food.

Went to see the Boeing Starliner launch today, unfortunately it got scrubbed; since we were in the area, we decided to look for eateries in the Port Canaveral area. We wanted to try breakfast cafes with good reviews but at the same time not too pricey. Ended up at Southern Charm Cafe and we are so happy we did. Services was great. Food was really tasty, good portions and the grits have to be the best we’ve had in the Brevard area since we moved here. The biscuits didn’t look like biscuits, They were big, dense and tasty. Just look at the photo I posted. Definitely recommend stopping here for breakfast or lunch. They close at 2:30 so go early.

Will never eat here again!!! I have been coming here for years with my mom and stepdad. I normally get a half an order of biscuits and gravy with a side of fruit. Today was no exception. However, the biscuits and gravy tasted like soap. I asked my mom to taste it and she said it tasted like soap. I returned it and was told it was probably the dish having soap residue. The next batch they gave me tasted like soap again. I said something and the waitresses reply was like “oh so and so in the kitchen tasted it and said it was fine. It’s probably just you” However next to us was a 15 top and they also had people that didn’t eat their biscuits and gravy. I pointed it out and the waitress just responded “well so and so in the kitchen said it was fine.” That table also complained and got the same response as me. There were literally five people at that table that said the same thing as me . So I’m sorry it’s not us, it’s your biscuits and gravy maybe treat your customers like they have some sense and stop eating/serving soap .

We were seated within 1 minute, our server appeared immediately and was so nice and welcoming. The menu had a good variety and priced reasonably. Our order was taken quickly and everything was served correctly. We had the Reuben sandwich, chopped steak, omelette, Porky Pig omelette, and chicken fingers basket. The food was awesome (a lot of it!) and the atmosphere was true to its name...pure Southern Charm! We had more fun reading all the funny signs on the walls. Southern Charm Cafe 8501 Astronaut Blvd. Cape Canaveral, FL 32920 1.5 Stars Having been freshly exungulated at a local salon run by a fellow Mel-Hi Alum, I headed up the coast towards the next dining establishment suggested by my random name generator, Southern Charm Cafe in Cape Canaveral. Upon entering the aforementioned snap house, the first thing I noticed was the “Homemade” emblazoned above cakes, pies, and desserts. I tell you no lies; it's in the picture. However, I get ahead of myself. My server today was an old hand at the game, Mary. She is super efficient and spent years in a previous restaurant where she was the show. She's still got plenty of game. I put in an order for some grits, one pancake, some home fries and a Porky Pig omelet. I relaxed a bit while awaiting Mary's return. Soon enough, she returned with my grub, and I commenced the job at hand (stuffing my pie hole). I am at a loss on how to approach this review, there are so many ways. However, as I am sure my editor will fix it anyway, I might as well do it in the order listed above. The grits were more akin to snail slime than the Southern Breakfast staple. They tasted fine; however, someone either spilled a gallon of water in the pot, or they have no idea how to cook. At all. By the time you get to the end of this review, you will know as well as I did which was the case. After a few spoonfuls of grits soup, I turned my fork to the single griddle cake in front of me and stuffed a forkful in my mouth. I immediately removed it from said orifice. It was so inedible it reminded me of the Three Stooges gag where Shemp is served a powder puff. How in the world can you make an unappetizing pancake? All you do is add eggs, water and oil and stir the mix... Before I move on, I would ask you to take a gander at the pics if you haven't already. Notice the shine on the spuds? Yep, that was a pound of extra grease on those puppies. They were so horrendously greasy that made my stomach churn on the way home. Thankfully, this brought me to the last item I had to sample in this nauseating excuse for a restaurant, the Porky Pig Omelet. While it was cooked properly, it consisted of an interior that no doubt came from a Pizza Hut freezer that predates the turn of the Century. Everything in this place was crap. The saving grace of a Swill Alert was the biscuit. Somehow, this was actually delicious. Now, back to the menu. I asked the manager if the cakes, pies and desserts were, as stated, homemade. I could tell they were made in bulk and purchased from a distributor, as I have seen this ruse before. At first, the manager insisted they were made in the back. After vigorous cross-examination, she finally admitted that they do NOT, in fact, make their own cakes & pies but buy them from a food distributor. Noticing the 14 deputy sheriff's scarfing down free food (I asked) I did feel safe from external threats, however, internally I wasn't so sure I trusted what little I just put down. The Big Boy says, “If you want free food, join the Sheriff's Department; otherwise, this joint isn't worth the $22.00. Not by anyone's standard.”

6.10.23 I’ve been back several times since 4.7.23. This time I tried the Southern Eggs Benedict. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside. Oh the chicken was huge! 4.7.23 I’ve been back many times but failed to note. Today’s visit was was very good. My Chorizo Benedict was very good. Nice change of flavor from a traditional Benedict. From the moment I walked in a pleasant smiling face greeted me right away. Deanna, offered counter seating as I was having breakfast alone. Several other staff members said good morning, want something to drink, coffee poured immediately, someone will be back with you. Bam, good morning....southern style hospitality! The Eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly and I enjoyed the grilled muffin, a nice change from toasted. A nice think piece of ham and a unique hollandaise sauce topped the dish. The Grits were perfect too! As a southerner, the biscuits and gravy were ok. What an efficient, very busy cafe. I will definitely be back, bring others and recommend it highly.

Great food and great service. The breakfast is one of the best I have ever had for the value. If in Coco beach area this is a must visit! Be prepared to wait but it is worth it!

Food was okay - I mean, scrambled eggs and pancakes, what could go wrong, right? Service was very slow, the place is pretty and fun but very noisy. However our waitress was extremely nice and meant well, so I guess the place needs another try.

2nd time here we live just down the street and this place always has a waiting time which is usually a good sign. Today not so much. We waited almost 1 hour for a 2 person seating but when we went inside there were at least 5 empty tables. That we can understand maybe low on staff…but then once seated we waited another 50 minutes for our food and while waiting had to almost beg for coffee. The food is good and the servers are very nice but 2 hours to have breakfast on a Sunday morning is ridiculous and not worth it for eggs and bacon.

Everything was super homey, the people were nice and considerate, and the food was the delicious. The specials were especially unique and meshed well.

This is the kind of soul food I’d never had before. Was very impressed with the food quantity (never seen chicken that big before) and the quality of service. Although, my partner and I felt like outsiders due to the majority of the guests being white (we are Latino/Hispanic), the waitresses and staff were super kind and attentive to our needs. The memorabilia and thrifted goods add a specially sentimental touch to the place.

Love coming here! Food is always consistent, large selection to choose from. Service is ALWAYS good, especially this last visit. Mary was by far one of the best server I've ever had. She was incredibly personable as well as attentive. Definitely ask for her, you will not be disappointed!

Great spot for breakfast in Cape Canaveral. Large menu with lots to choose from. Their special omelet and shrimp n grits were so tasty. The portions are substantial too.

You should avoid this place. That way, I don't have to wait for a seat at this outstanding restaurant. My only problem is that it isn't in NY close to my home. But if it was, I would be one fat son of a gun!
