Four of us went on Saturday night - I picked the place judging on reviews and what we were in the mood for. First time customers. In general the waiter was pleasant, but before our main course came he accidentally knocked over a full glass of sangria a friend was enjoying. No biggie - crap happens - we did what we could to help clean it up. But he never replaced the drink! (Ordered a 1/2 carafe, but expected a replacement of the glass. It never came or was not offered. ) The food was expensive and not great- mine actually was horrible. Ordered filet and shrimp at a $40 price tag. It came out as a stew. Seriously? Why would you do that to filet mignon? (I doubt it was actually) . My husband said his pork chop was “ok” and another friend had a chicken dish - again “ok”. But paying a premium for food that is just “ok” is not ok in my opinion. Kicker was that at 8:30 we were still chatting- I actually checked to make sure we were not staying longer than they were open- Their webpage states they’re open until 10 on a Saturday. No one else was in the place, (I understand why now) so I guess they all wanted to go home. The staff started banging around cups and plates “setting up” tables around us. So much so that my Husbands Apple Watch sent him a notice that the decibel level was at an unsafe level. Expensive meal - horrible experience. Live and learn. Hope I can save a few others the same. So disappointed-

It's a little dim, a little old fashioned. Although there wasn't a lot of variety on the menu, what we ordered was excellent.

We came here for the first time last month for my birthday. What a great meal. Everything was delicious, sangria was tasty and the service was excellent.

Service was amazing, food was ok. My wife had the veal and she said it was AMAZING. My friend's wife had the two lobster tails and she seemed happy. My Friend and I had the Paella Valencia. I have had this dish in many restaurants, this dish was so so. The Chorizo sausage was burned, the chicken was stale tasting, the langostinos were overdone. The other item is please check your bill carefully. I didn't and was charged for items that we did not order or receive. Will not be returning.

My wife and I love this place. It’s a lot closer to us than the Spanish restaurants in Newark and the food is great. The prices are reasonable and the servings are huge. The staff is very professional and attentive. We love the shrimp and garlic appetizer, the paella marinera and the sangria. Highly recommend.

The prices are steep, and it does not look like much from the outside. However, the food is great. The service is fast. It's a cozy quiet environment. Great for a date.

I ordered some take out food ... everything was delicious,I had paella valencians and pulpo the pulpo was so tender I will order again.

Discovering this hidden gem of a hole-in-the-wall restaurant was a delightful surprise. Their Paella Valencia dish is packed with flavor with an abundance of fresh seafood, savory sausage, and tender chicken. The place may be small but their portions are anything but! A true Authentic Spanish/Portuguese Restaurant! From start to finish, our meal was excellent, the food was delicious as well as the Sangria! The service was great and they were so attentive... We will definitley be back...Highly Recommend this little gem! 👌 😊 You will not be disappointed.

It was really nice to have servers dressed in classy clothes instead of a 20 yr old with 6 nose rings and a dumpy outfit. The sangria was fantastic, the main dish was delicious and plentiful. The only thing that stopped me giving it 5 stars was the sides. The salad wasn't the greatest and the potatoes just didn't go with dinner. Still a dinner we'll worth the price.

Monster menu, Monster portions, Monster quality.

The menu harkened back to Spain. Almost all things on the "special menu" were delicious. The meat/steaks were not the best though. The atmosphere was cozy, homely. But, the service was unfriendly, which ultimately ruined the otherwise nice experience. Rushed and inattentive.

I've lived in Rockaway/Wharton my entire life, and I've passed by this place so many times but never stopped to go in. I decided to go in today off whim and was completely engulfed by how gorgeous the inside looks. The staff was so friendly & welcoming I took their recommendation because I've never had Spaniard food. I opted for the Skirt Steak & Shrimp recommendation, and it's easily one of the best dinners I've had for a long time. Filling & tasty the perfect balance. I can't recommend it enough, and I never leave reviews, but this one had to happen. PS. Their Sangria's is the best in town! Will definitely be stopping by often.

You'd never know this place was so great just passing by. The food is delicious and the service is super quick. Plus I had so much shrimp I couldn't even finish for the first time in my life. I always finish shrimp! The baby loved it too!

We just flew into Newark coming from Puerto Rico and were very hungry. We stopped at this little restraunt without a reservation + very under-dressed. They managed to squeeze us in and treated us no different than everyone else. The food is AMAZING! The service was TOP NOTCH! And the Pina Colada's were just as good if not BETTER than Puerto Rico! We don't know that we will ever be back as we live 4 hours away, but we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

He ido aproximadamente 5 veces a este restaurante, mi segunda vez con la nueva administración. Anoche pedimos una Paella y no tenia sabor, siempre dan de entrada un poco de sopa como cortesia lo que respondio el señor que nos atendio que se habia acabado, el mesero poco cortes, parecia molesto llegamos a las 8:30 cerraban a las 10:00 pm, no lo recomiendo y nunca volvere a este restaurante.

Without a question the best hidden gem in Morris County, the food, the staff, the service the atmosphere are all phenomena. If you are in the mood for a hearty meal & a delicious sangria this place needs to be in your bucket list & stay for the chocolate mousse.....trust me.

Tiny place but a little of seating. Food is very good. The one thing I would do is space out my order they are sometimes to fast with serving.

Yes the place could use a face lift but the decor has nothing to do with the quality of the food they serve at Spain Rincon. My only comment for this wonderful oasis of Portuguese cusine is DON'T MISS DINING HEAR. Its a gem.

This place must have changed chefs, because the food is nothing like it was in the past, Mariscada tasted like Cambell soup tomato sauce, really bad. tried to give them a chance again, but will not be going back.

First let me start by saying the service was good. The waiter was attentive, and polite. Unfortunately the food itself was really not that great. I'm Hispanic as is my wife and we love a good paella, so naturally we decided to check this place out for her birthday. She ordered paella valenciana and I ordered their steak special (porterhouse with shrimp). I asked the waiter before I ordered how thick the steak was and he made a gesture saying it's thick ( about an inch with his fingers). I asked because I know if it's a thin steak it doesn't matter what you ask for but you're going to end up getting a well done steak. As you can guess the steak came out and was very thin/ overcooked. I could overlook that but my rice, my wife's rice in the paella, the chicken and the lobster and scallops were all overcooked. Honestly it was kinda sad that the best part of the paella was the chorizo! Don't get me the food was still OKAY, but it was just that... Fine. And for 35/ plate I'd expect a lot more. Sucks cause we really wanted to like this place too. Anyway if you're looking for really good Spanish food... I'd probably skip this one.

1 other table in the restaurant on a Thursday night at 7:30. Should have been a red flag. Clams casino came out so fast with half raw / half burnt bacon and soggy bland breadcrumbs. Awful! Sole with garlic sauce was fishy and full of oil. Place felt old and dirty. They need to clean up and get a new chef. Do not recommend and won’t ever go back. Oh and asked how much to add a lobster tail. $50! What? 🤢

We ordered their garlic shrimp as an appetizer, shrimp with onions, pepper and tomato sauce, and surf & turf (lobster and filet mignon) as entree, and tiramisu cake and flan as our dessert. They served table bread with rock hard butter! Bread paired very tastefully with garlic shrimp 🦐😋 plus it came with 10+ shrimp. The portion size of my shrimp entree was so big that I can easily make two more dinners out of it for both me and hubby, even after I felt like I ate shrimp from a bottomless basket! 😂 Hubby's surf and turf had a 8oz filet mignon, curry style 2 lobster tail, broccoli and mashed potato. We were also served Spanish rice and very tasty fried potatoes. Both potato and rice complemented my shrimp dish really well 😋🤤 I'm not and will never be a steak 🥩 eater, but hubby said his filet was great 😃 As dessert, tiramisu cake was great until we reached the bottom. I guess, the bottom had way too much black coffee soaking, which was too bitter for my taste. But hubby is a black coffee drinker, so he didn't have any problem with the bitterness. Flan was alright. Overall a good atmosphere and great food! 🥰

The food and drinks were delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. It was a great find as me and a friend was visiting the town and searched for a place to eat. I had the paella and my friend had the seafood stuffed salmon (special). Both were delicious and was served a good helping. We definitely had plenty to take home. The price we paid includes our entrees, two appetizers, two L.I. teas each and tip. We forgot to take pics but the presentation was also beautiful. Please stop by if you're in the area!

Small cozy restaurant not far from Rockaway Mall, easy access from 80. The food is amazing. The prices are good and the portion sizes are big. Service was friendly and attentive. We went on a Thursday after 7pm n we had entire place to ourselves. Definitely recommend

Sticky floors, dingy lighting, and musty odor- I should have walked out then. However, proceeded to give it a chance- food was absolutely TASTELESS. We ordered the surf and turf and arroz con pollo. Steak over cooked, lobster super tasteless. Arroz con pollo had no salt or seasoning ! Also, I asked for a glass of sangria, the waiter brought over an entire pitcher. Later i find out the cost of the pitcher was $30, it was also the only OK thing we had. The flan tasted like a stick of butter. So disappointed. $115 on tasteless over cooked food. :( Two stars for the kind staff and sangria. Everything else was NOT GOOD.

This place remains one of our FAVORITE restaurants in the area. Delicious from the start (with shrimp and garlic appy..lotsa good garlic! ) through the incredible petit filet with mushroom gravy… soo soo good!! And the red sangria..wow!! All with great service and prices.. will be back again and agaib

Best Paella, sea food and service in the area. Paella Valenciana rice, saffron, chicken, and seafood. If you love International food, you will fall in love with this comforting dish lots of flavors and size was a plus.

This place is like a hidden treasure in Rockaway! The food is delicious and the portions are generous. Garlic Shrimp appetizer is always a must! The seafood combinations are a favorite of mine too especially in the green or garlic sauce. This restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with excellent service too.

The food is amazing. The menu has a wonderful variety of seafood steak and chicken. Stuffed mushrooms were great. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who doesn't mind spending a little extra for quality.

Wonderful birthday dinner! Not comfortable sitting indoors just yet so hubby got take out.The clams and stuffed mushrooms were delicious! The paella was off the hook! Packed nicely and kept warm in a super low oven. Generous amount of seafood and super flavorful rice! The best takeout we've had since the beginning all all this mess we're in. Bonus for us, only a mile and a half away. We sure are lucky!

Had dinner with some friends taking advantage of nice weather although it got cold during the dinner. No heaters that I could see. My food was ok albeit a bit salty. The owners were very nice checking on us a few times.

Due to all the NJ COVID restrictions, Spain Ricon is providing take out service, but they also set up a large tent in the upper parking lot for outdoor dining so we thought we would try it. The bread served was always unimpressive so no change to that, but we were a bit dissapointed in the food. Actually, the last time we went we noticed a little bit of a change in the food. We found the Paella a bit on the bland side and the chicken pieces overcooked and dry. Our pitcher of Sangria was definitely different. It tasted more like mix out of a bottle and a bit watered down. We always loved their sangria so a big dissapointment there. Prices are higher of course, but for a pitcher of sangira, two main dishes and one appetizer the bill was over $100... ouch! Also, no soup was served either. I know that a lot of restaurants are having a tough time of it now with this virus thing, but it's hard to be a good customer and keep coming back when the food quality is lacking. We're going to wait a little bit and try it one more time. Maybe it was an off night.

What an amazing place! Cozy, friendly old world charm. Waiting time a little long but they have a bar you can enjoy a drink while you wait. Every dish is fresh and good quality.. Absolutely recommand it to anyone who appreciates great food and good admosphere, little small but manageable.

What a nice restaurant. Tiny, but really good food and staff really nice. Perfect option for Valentine's day, even with a few minutes waiting for table.
