They a great lunch menu. It includes a soup or salad. Making this place a great find for the price. It’s a bit dark inside. But they have a patio in the summer evenings. The server was very kind and refilled our water without us requesting it. The garlic shrimp was very good and a good size portion. My companion said the bacalao was good. I’ll take his word for it. The included soup hit the spot on a cool day.

My only complaint that they used the word bucket to decide their drinks but it was really in an oversized plastic container...lol.. like the ones you get when you order a large soup or something...lol

Tapas was so good! It was a small list, but the service was good. They were quick, attentive, and efficient. Update: it is always amazing. It's half price tapas on Saturdays and Sundays until 5. It was such a steal and service is always wonderful and quick!

On thurs. Fried Red snapper was dry underseasoned and over cooked. Asked for lamb chops med well and they was underseasoned and overcooked ..waiter said he would remove appetizers from Bill because calamari was super rubbery ...old fashioned came in a small class couldn't even taste the liquor...eat at your own risk or just go to tops.

I had place an order for pick on DoorDash and stated was ready, I went to pick it up and server stated was not even place so said told the cook to make it and would take about 10-15 I said okay, I went to the side to get a drink while i waited, I came back about 20-25 minutes later the same server said the order was not made and did not know what when it was going to be made either I get a refund or just wait whenever the cook decided the food would be ready. This is awful and totally unacceptable service and waste of time.

I haven’t been there yet, I haven’t been to America yet but whenever I finally do decide to go this restaurant is my first option. The kitchens nightmare episode showed a real side of a family side business and when I found out it’s still running to this day makes me even more happy, it was great decision by Gordon to come and I am thrilled and extremely excited to come and experience some amazing Spanish quality food.

Los Callos were delicious. They have beer 1906 and great selection of wines.

First time here. I loved it. The family loved it. I just don't understand why they close so early. I always drove by and thought it was a bar to hangout outdoors. But its great. Food is excellent and large portions. Servers are great.

I absolutely love the Spanish Pavilion! I never got a bad meal or drink! The staff is kind and so much fun! I'm so excited that they now have the Patio open for the season! I'm back and enjoy the entertainment and dancing the night away! Many times I have placed orders and wanted to pick it up just to have a specialty coffee! Delicious and tasty! If I can give the Spanish Pavilion 10 stars I would but it only goes to 5!

It is incredibly difficult to find a traditional Spanish restaurant these days. For decades, the Spanish Pavillion delivers! From the Caldo Gallego, to the garlic chicken. The place is a gem. The staff is terrific. For either a date night, a family dinner, or watching a soccer game with the bartender Carlos (who occasionally loses his mind on a bad call). It is a go to place. On my wedding anniversary celebration, we are going here.

We've been here a few times for early dinner and it's a great spot. You can sit inside and have a nice classy atmosphere. The food is good. The staff are friendly. Not sure it's accessible, bc we have struggled with getting a stroller up the stairs. You can also sit outside in the El Patio that's part of the restaurant, order drinks and food up at the counter and enjoy a nice warm day outside. Sometimes they have a DJ, and also have oversized jenga and other games. It's kid friendly as well.

Excellent Sangria , Garlic shrimp, paella, and braised short ribs. Atmosphere is chill. Service is great. I love how Spanish Pavilion gives back to the community. Their always generous with food donations toward school events held at Lincoln Middle School. Thank you !

First time dining at the Spanish Pavilion, the second we stepped into the place we were treated professionally and with respect. The staff where very friendly and welcoming. Our server was an older gentleman by the name of Jose, who was professional and on point. The dishes he suggested where delicious well prepared and tasteful. Even my grandkids enjoyed the Steak and Spanish fries. The cocktail where perfectly balanced. Thank you all @ Spanish Pavilion for and amazing experience. 😁 🥩 🍷

Have been there several times since 2019. Never disappointed with the meals.

I'll start with the food which was wonderful. I had the chickpeas al ragu which were amazing. How could chickpeas be amazing? Try them and find out! I was there with 7 people and the service was fine. The atmosphere was very, very loud. I couldn't hear the people right across the table from me. I wish they would use some acoustic panels. The floor was also sticky. Everywhere sticky. But the food was great!

We have been here multiple times, and it has been consistently terrific. We love ordering the tapas and skewers and enjoying the variety. We had a large group today and the service was top notch - so very attentive and accommodating. Highly recommend !!

Service was good. Wish there were real plant-based options for people who don't do meat or dairy. The food was decent. I didn't not like the rum punch, taste like cough syrup. I like the artichoke dish, and the mushroom sandwich as leftovers. If I'm in the area and nothing else is open I'd eat here but can't say it's a place I'm searching for.

I have to make work trips to this area about every two months, and I try to come here each visit. The food and service are very consistent and they remember me and that I like the Paella. Tonight I had The Paella de Mariscos again and it was very good again (picture attached). I started with salad, red wine Sangria, and nice bread (picture also attached)

Feeling not good. The bald waiter gives me an uncomfortable feeling about race. We ordered the special beef around 45dollar, the beef is very slim and small. Not recommended. The bald men should be fired.

Wish I could give more stars. Went for a birthday celebration with several family members and 3 children. on Sundays children eat free with the purchase of an adult meal, which we were not aware of until we got there, but what a great treat in this economy. The food was outstanding the service was fantastic and the price was very economical especially for the items that we had off the menu. It was my first time there and i will be going back for sure!!

Amazing place....the lobster 🦞 tank impressive. The waiters were cute and friendly. All you can eat shrimp 🍤 friday all day was delicious. With a Mango Mohito and mint...drink I left alittle tipsy. A definite 5 stars. Will definitely come again...a must try for all seafood lovers!!!

Chicken was rubbery sent back came back same way. Ended up throwing out when I got home. Usually had a good experience there.

My experience at the Spanish pavilion was awful, the food was very good, but the service was horrible, when is the racism gonna end, I'm African america, my wife is spanish, I took her there 3 times for her birthday, we give very good tips, we won't be back there ever again. How can you have a business and treat your customers with disrespect. We had to wait 20 minutes before they gave us a menu, you can feel the bad vibes, the whole staff was terrible no eye contact, you can feel they didn't want us there. Why?, because I'm a different race. I purposely looked at everyone just to see if they would have eye contact with me, not one. Truly disappointing because the food is very good.

I arrived for an early dinner after traveling for hours. Looking forward to a glass of wine and a good meal. I was no disappointed! Delicious! Since it appeared I was the only customer at that early hour I sat at the bar and enjoyed the company of the bartender and owner. Great stories to go with the great food

Did a great job helping us celebrate my granddaughter’s birthday

I travel to the Newark area for work every one or two months. And this is one of my favorite spots to eat. Not too expensive, consistently good food and service! Tonight I broke from tradition and got a veal chop special instead of their delicious seafood paella. The chop was excellent and large, picture attached. I started with a house salad, bread, and Sangria. Everything was excellent again

I always loved this place especially on Valentines day. The food is always fresh and the portions are awesome. The writers are always attentive to your needs.

I never have a bad experience here. The food is fantastic, I am a seafood gal. The staff is fun, friendly and accommodating, within reason. I have a funny tummy but their extensive menu is always a feast for my eyes. My favorite dish is the whole snapper, simply delicious!

I found this restaurant by chance while I was in Newark for an overnight Mother Daughter trip for my 50th birthday. We made a mistake when trying to set up our reservation and when we arrived the hostess clarified things and seated us at a table, never missed a beat. We appreciated their efforts especially since it was a busy Saturday night. Our server was super polite and explained their menu and portions. The paella 🥘 was HUGE it could feed 2 maybe 3 depending on how hungry you were. During the meal our server came to check on us and cleaned up some spilled rice with a little crumb sweeper, this was something I only experienced 1 other time in my life. We were in and out in under an hour and able to make our concert on time.

When I have to travel to this area for work, I try to come here for dinner. It is a very short walk from the Hampton Inn where I am staying. A couple pictures of the dining area and bar are attached. The food is always very good and reasonably priced, even the Sangria. I seem to get the seafood paella, paella de mariscos, when I come, but tonight was Negra with black sauce! Tonight I started with lentil soup and Sangria with nice bread (picture attached) Then the Paella came and was delicious, picture also attached.

we had such a delicious meal. Our waiter was wonderful! very attentive! He suggested a great Portuguese wine, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our meals were so delicious. We definitely will return.

So, I was craving paella for my 49th birthday and decided to go visit the old spot from many years ago with my teenage son. I wasn't disappointed! I've tried paella many times, but my son has not---and he loved it! Not only that... having paella with a glass of sangria on the side: magnificent!!! Worst place to go as soon as we were seated not even one minute and the waiter was already asking us for our order we didn't even get a chance to see the menu and rushing us my hubby order a bacalao a la brasa and the waiter said he couldn't order that because it takes 35 minutes to make and the kitchen was closing at nine but the location said they close at 10pm se we got up and walked away will definitely not go there again.

I've been a long time customer until today. The restaurant staff allows people to smoke cigarettes and blow smoke in your face while you're trying to eat your meal in the patio! I don't recommend this place anymore because lately this place has fallen apart. They lost respect for the clientele. Go to Tops Diner around the corner they're the best in Harrison NJ! Adding a second review: We were going to give your establishment another chance. My wife called to ask about ordering trays for our Christmas Party. Whoever answered the phone told us they’re too busy to answer questions and to call back in an hour. This place is a joke. Why even answer the phone if you’re not going to do your job? I won’t waste my time with this place again. The customer service is horrible!

Went here twice on my trip to NJ. Didn't expect such a high quality place so close to my hotel! Service and food is great and it's not overpriced.

I had lunch here recently with a few colleagues. The restaurant's parking is slightly limited, but for lunch during the work week it's ample. Friday or Saturday evening might be a different matter but since Harrison is a very walkable town I suspect lots.of.customers walk there. The atmosphere was nice. What really stood out was my food. I got the Pavilion Burger and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had IN MY LIFE. The brandy mushroom gravy and manchego cheese was a perfect combination. Absolutely delicious. The fries were good. The price was about $15 at the time of this writing which is about average for a sit-down restaurant there days. I definitely intend to go back for lunch very soon!

I've been there for Christmas gathering and for birthday celebrations. The service has been great. The food taste so delicious. So far what I've eaten has been on the money. Can't speak for what i haven't tried. The appetizers: calamari, spanish sausage, garlic wings, potato croquette, garlic shrimp, & pork cubes have all been two thumps up for me. Nice amount given. Only complaint is a little stingy on the rice with the meal. Price wise, make sure you bring some $$.

Very generous portions of delicious food. The portobello mushroom appetizer is wonderful. One word of advice: One entrée plus one appetizer would have been more than enough for the two of us. Especially considering the warm bread they serve is irresistible. But if you want leftovers, by all means order as much as you want! The paella is fantastic. Prices are reasonable and the service is friendly and very helpful.

Aside from getting ignored repeatedly by our waiter, the food was not great, salty, cold, and overcooked. The bread was hard and the butter was frozen solid. We were there on a Friday at 9 pm we were some of the only ones there. The restaurant was empty. Service was weak. The worst part we walked through a bar to get to the restaurant, nobody greeted us, we made reservations and no one knew anything. The menu for the day was printed on a white piece of oily wrinkled dirty paper. Gordon Ramsay wouldn't be proud. One star.

I went to Spanish Pavilion last night Friday-9pm with 3 others friends. It was our first time there. We ordered apps fried calamari-Good (4 out of 4), baked clams w bacon(4 out of 4), (2) LI Iced teas (2 out of 4), a half a pitcher of sangria(2 out of 4), seafood paelle(the rice had a good flavor and the clams,oysters >good, shrimp, calamari-in paella only>not so good), churrasco (steak), pork chops, and a burger about $225.00 total more or less. The kitchen closes at 10pm. IDK if it was because they were closing or what? The apps were good 3 out of 4 enjoyed them. Main course 1 out of 4 were happy. The meats were seasoned well enough but were slightly over cooked. The burger was welled enjoyed. The paella was not up to par, it was bland and mushy but from the pics on Google I guess that's how they make it. I did inform them that it wasnt good and they took it off the bill and that was fine but they kept checking thier watches to see how much longer we were gonna be. If your kitchen closes at 10pm don't seat ppl at 9pm and then quietly rush them out. We could have gone to another restaurant that didn't close on Friday nights at 10pm. I doubt we will be returning there but if you go choose wisely. I understand being at work and having ppl walk in last minute and having to wait for them but in the food industry you can word things differently like as soon as ppl come sure I'll seat you just so you know the paella takes 40 mins to make ( made fresh per customer-that makes ppl think oh really ok) and if that's what you were interested in trying its best if we put that in along with the apps. We were told about the kitchen closing but if you want to go home then tell ppl as soon as they walk in. We felt rushed the whole time spent there, there was watch looking, table gazing but cash was seen and expected. I really don't like giving mom and pop business any kind of bad reviews because I know we are all competing with big business but there is always room for improvements. They had some pluses (the 2 appetizers) I guess it's up to you to chose.

Nice place to eat, great menu with a variety of food. We arrived late in the evening after spending 11 hours on planes and in airports, the staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the food was amazing! I definitely plan to go back before we leave.

Very nice restaurant. Got the vegetarian burger with no cheese. It came with fries and tomatoes and lettuce on the side. Very juicy, not on burger buns but bread was better. Also got house special cheese steak, very good.

Just watched your Kitchen nightmares episode. Apparently filmed in 2010 aired in 2011. The kids and I would like to extend to you our most humble congratulations. The majority of the restaurants from the show seem to not do well after he leaves. The kids and I might have to take a road trip keep up the good work.

As a dual national (Spain-USA) I am very picky about my Spanish food. Many of the "Spanish" restaurants where I have eaten in Newark or Manhattan I have found to be underwhelming, not to mention prohibitively costly. For years I had resisted visiting this restaurant because of an unflattering appearance on reality TV (specifically Gordon Ramsay's "Kitchen Nightmares"). Nevertheless, after checking out their menu online, this seemed to be the most authentically Spanish in or around the Ironbound. I am glad I came. The service was excellent. The Sangria was good. My friend enjoyed his chicken (a la Riojana). The appetizers were quite good. In particular the fabada (a bean and ham stew from the Asturias region, was spot on). I was most impressed with the paella valenciana, which was served piping hot with fresh ingredients (chicken, chorizo, mussels, clams, shrimp, squid, saffron). Most importantly, they used a short grain rice, either arborio or bomba rice. Many restaurants ruin this dish by using a long rain rice that does not absorb the juices from the meat, olive oil. Portions were enormous and my friend and I both took half our meals home. I would certainly come again. Best Spanish food I've had on this side of the Atlantic. Enhorabuena.

We ordered paella, and the rice was undercooked. Pretty sure the seafood were frozen too. Worst paella ever!!

Great food and service. Staff is very attentive. Really nice party room also. I eat here often and really enjoy the menu. My favorites are : Paella with Calasparra rice, Fried shrimp, Shrimp In Wine Sauce, Chicken In Garlic Sauce, Veal Pavillion, Bacon Wrapped Dates, Stuffed Mushrooms, Calamari Pavillion. I've also had great Burgers and Steak Sandwiches in the Bar area and outside on the Patio

Carlos is a great bartender outside is a party. Great appetizers.

This place is so good. Carlos is always on point, a true professional. I had dinner at this place for a week straight. Food is very good, the Paella Valencia may be the best I have had...give it a try, Michael really isnt that bad.

Beautiful Place recently updated within the last 5 years. Went to dj a baptism in the room downstairs. The food was great. Had steak pinchos with potatoes and rice... For a dj load in, you have a few steps for the room downstairs... (see picture below) But other than that it's a nice small room very little equipment is needed.

The food was excellent, however, the service was weird and subpar at best. Due to that reason, I will not go there again.

We dined in the outside patio. Staff is friendly. We ordered a variety of tapas and sangria, which was fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant for great food, drinks, music and atmosphere. You won't be disappointed

The place has really nice food with a wide variety, I like how they really display the Spanish paella perfect with an on-point char, the staff are absolutely amazing and the owner is very considerate, I really like the party room and patio especially when bands come to preform and it's a really nice place to hang, I do recommend their burgers, dessert, shrimp, lobster, and any seafood you can get, overall 15/15, I've been coming here for years and plan to for plenty more

This was hands down one of the best venues to have a private dinner party. Jose and Tony were very accommodating. It was easy to reserve, the food was great, the service was perfect. The bathrooms were clean. There’s a private entrance for the party guests only bar downstairs. Just loved it!

Very close to our hotel the Hampton with 1/5 of a mile. Seated us quickly and got our drinks. We did the pork belly as an appetizer. Came out fresh and hot. Our main entree was NY strip with veggies and Spanish fries. Black and blue hamburger with steamed broccoli. I have this pet peeve about digging the top bun out where the hamburger will have a perfect bite. Waiter was very attentive. Very pleased.

One of the only places that never disappoints. Food is on point wait staff was the most attentive I've ever seen definitely a must try if in the area.
