We had a girls day of book shopping in Pittsburgh yesterday. This was right down the street (2 minutes) from White Whale Books and so we decided to stop in. The wine suggestions were amazing, the service could not have been better and our host recommended a little local pasta spot (Soul Pasta) which was amazing with wine. If you are trying to decide on a place to go - this is it. Stop searching, you have found the spot.

Spill is a wonderful place to go with friends and to make new ones. They have incredible wines and the wonderful owners, Jim and Robin, are happy to help you find the ones you would like. Everyone else who works at Spill is also incredible. Make sure to stop when you're in town.

Incredible, what felt like world-class service imo. Some of the best interaction I've had with waitstaff. Me and my 2 friends had some samples which were graciously explained and provided by someone who knows their stuff, and then we happily settled on some wines. Got to learn a bit about Italy which was unexpected but welcome! Nothing but a good time here if you're with good company, without a doubt. Do know you can bring your own food, they don't serve any here besides some pistachios :)

Our experience from start to finish was incredible. I was in Pittsburgh with my sister and two friends celebrating a 50th birthday. We were greeted by Robin, one of the owners. She shared the story of how Spill came to fruition. What a great storyteller. She then told us about their wines and brought over three tastings. They don’t believe in charging for the tastings. What a pleasant surprise. We ordered a bottle of the Cabernet to share, which was absolutely incredible. While we enjoyed the bottle and chatted, she asked if we had dinner plans. We had not. She recommended a couple places she and her husband knew very well. They went out of there way to call the restaurants to get us a reservation. Her husband Jim came over and told us we had one at one of their favorite Italian restaurants. Wow, they did not have to go out of their way to do that and we were so grateful and appreciative. We also purchased 5 more bottles (seriously, it was sooo good!) I have to say that the Italian restaurant did not disappoint. Thank you Jim and Robin for your amazing hospitality. We cannot wait to come back!

The owner really knows his wine and cheerfully made a recommendation that paired with our meal. I would give this place 6 stars if possible.

We love coming to Spill. Jim and Robin are like family. They are great hosts, they make you feel welcomed, and know lots about their wines. You can also BYOF into the establishment as well.

This wine bar was amazing. Great vibes! No wonder it's got such great reviews. We were welcomed with friendly greets by the owner Jim. They have a wonderful wine selection, particularly the reds. The man has done the work traveling through Europe / Italy to select the best wines, and he's got a fantastic palate. This place allows you to bring whatever foods you'd like to pair their wine with!! It was a nice quiet spot for a date or they seem like they'd be able to accommodate large groups. Jim was funny and really made the experience great. You have to try the Amarone (just commit to the bottle ... or try a glass). Or ask for the drunken bird wine!

We were looking for a local option for wine for our wedding, and SPiLL did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, Jim treated us like family and was so excited to give us a tasting of their delicious wines. He worked with our budget, recommended us the amount of wine for our guests, and kept our glasses filled while doing so! He even loaned us a dolly to get the wine back to our house. Highly recommend this family-owned business for any wine lover, whether its for a lowkey date night or stocking a full wedding!

The time the owners take with each table to educate, and curate an experience for each person, is exceptional. I highly recommend this spot and cannot wait to go back!

We absolutely love Spill! The wine is fantastic, but we are regulars because the owners are such wonderful people and always so welcoming! They even gave us a complimentary champagne toast when they found out we were recently engaged. Highly recommend for any night of the week!

Terrific place to try a wide range of Italian wine styles. They only draw from three wineries, but they’re from very different parts of Italy, and use many white and red grape varietals at each winery. So lots to taste! And tasting is welcome! Basically, you can get a taste of anything, or sets of things, before you need to commit to a glass or two (or a bottle!). The staff right up to the owner are knowledgeable and anxious to make sure you find a wine (or several) you like. A really great find!

SPiLL is amazing! Great collection of Italian wines. The owner, Jim, is very personal and throughly knows the wines available. Love that you can taste before you have to buy a bottle. Jim wants to make sure you love the wine you leave his store with. Definitely recommend!!

They had such a great selection of wines from Italy here! We threw a surprise 30th birthday party for a friend of mine & we had the best time. The staff was very accommodating, welcoming, and very knowledgeable of the wines. The wine tasting was free but we bought a bunch of bottles because they were very affordable. This is a great place to go out with the girls, or if you are looking to start a romantic date night with a glass of Pino, I highly recommend this place! Bring your owns snacks ;)

This is not a wine bar but an experience! Come tour Italy via your taste buds. Fantastic evening with the 2 owners who covered both whites and reds from 3 small batch wineries in Italy. I will definitely be back! My only suggestion..Get the tip jar out! You guys deserve it! A very hidden gem of Pittsburgh.

Great Italian wines. Can have a glass and bring your own food or order from any local restaurant. Also buy wines by the bottle and case.

Last night we had a private event at Spill and once again Robin and Jim did a terrific job taking care of 25 women. Their wine list is superb and the venue perfect for a Bloomfield respite. Highly recommend their product and service in da burgh. Thank you for a lovely night.

Most knowledgeable wine connoisseurs in the burgh. Every visit comes with complimentary pistachios. Selection is always very unique compared to typical liquor stores. Bring your own food and enjoy the relaxing ambience.

Great place! They have the best selection of Italian wines that taste amazing and their prices are on point. The atmosphere is super welcoming and enjoyable too. The owners let you sample the wines before you buy them and they just have a wealth of information! They’re so fun to talk to. Such a great experience I definitely will be coming back to this place often.

Many choices of wine with unlimited tastings. Owner well-versed on the wines. Works to find one you like and will purchase. Warning ...no food sold here. Resturants within walking distance. Bring your meal with you!

This was our first experience at Spill - The Wine Bar. We saw them as the business next to Scoops. Since we’ve been vaccinated, we decided that it was time to patronize our local small businesses in person! We called The Pleasure Bar for our pasta dinner, then headed over to Spill to enjoy the Italian wine they offered in Bloomfield, Pittsburgh’s Little Italy. We were not disappointed! Sam, our sommelier, er, SAMmelier, was VERY personable and offered up 10 or so different wines to taste before we settled on our favorites: Casali Maniago Cabernet and the Danimi Rosato. Being rather extra, we brought our own tablecloth, dinnerware, and dipping oil to take full advantage of our evening out. We were not disappointed, and immersed ourselves in all things Italian! We highly recommend the wine tastings here at Spill. Choose your favorite wine and bring your favorite eats to enjoy!

My girlfriend and I had a fabulous experience. Robin was a wonderful host and explained the wine wonderfully. Everything was excellent, give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.

We celebrated one of my best friend’s 30th birthday at Spill and it was fantastic! What a wonderful experience! If you love wine and a great atmosphere, you have to come visit Robin, Jim, and Sam! They really get to know you and what your taste is in wine. We can’t wait to visit again soon! Thank you for your hospitality!
