Over priced!!! Workers seem clicky with regulars to a point they'll treat you like an outsider if they don'tknow you. So will the good ol' boy customers who actually walk in and stand around for a while talking by the front right inside the store and observe everybody including who comes in. Good grief! The prices even got higher since I last went. 4 dollars for a basic jar of Ragu? 7 dollars and change for a big can of greens? A tiny pack of 3 piecs leg quarters chicken was 10. 7 for a small pack of chicken drumsticks. 7 for a case of spring water..no drinking water? Eggs were 3 and change for a dozen. All broken and cracked. I checked several cartons.

The chicken liver is always set at a low good price rate fisherman say, but by some flour and oil just in case you don't catch no fish you can eat the chicken livers

You want some bomb fried pork chops & blue berry cobbler go to their deli

Super cool Asian/Thai restaurant in downtown Rincon. Amazing smells and food is very flavorful. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves great food. Very friendly people as well

The deli food today on Sunday February 11,2024 suck haven't been here in couple years but it sure went down hill. Especially for the price I payed.

Good for a small town, but a bit higher prices, the is to be expected for the convenience. There is a good supply of the larger canned and jarred items if you like bulk. Also the deli and bakery area is great for a quick ready made meal with a seating area.

The bakery did a wonderful job on my son’s birthday cake! It was delicious, a decent price and exactly what he wanted. Will purchase here for all future birthday cakes for sure.

Good luck finding a grocery store like this anywhere else! Spires is one of kind, even with its little "quirks" and the things you wish they had, blah blah blah. Beats a migraine-inducing walk around Publix (or anywhere else, seriously) any day of the week.

Best home town grocer... Judy the head cashier is friendly and polite.... And they always have great meats.

They don't care about the 8-5 worker. Everything shuts down at 5. No hot food in the deli. Can't count how many times in the morning I have waited for a cashier to get to their register. If they are there, they are too busy chit chatting with the locals to help anyone else. Awful store with employees that could care less about the customers...unless it is one of their neighbors. Then they can't stop gossiping

Great little place to stop for lunch, pick up some groceries, cash back & a bit of history. I'm glad we decided to stop here on the way to our campground

I had been looking for these Clark burgers for years. Winn Dixie was the only store that sold them when I was younger. I googled the name and IGA came up. I picked up two boxes.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I’m new to the area and have shopped here since I’ve been in town(4months)Today at around 10:30am I was stopped by local authorities after shopping at this location. I was asked why was I stealing dinners from the deli. I answered with”excuse me sir” he asked me for proof of my purchase from today and yesterday. I of course handed him the proof as the store manager was on the phone stating I’d stolen three dinners from them yesterday and today. Smh after showing proof of working a 13 hr shift yesterday starting at 6am and the proof from today’s purchase the police said the store owner wanted me trespassed from the store. I honestly don’t know what to think or say. These ppl are ppl I see several times a week and ALL OF A SUDDEN IM A THEIF. I will NEVER shop here again!!!! And the DELI food I got will be going in the trash.

No beer sales but a good store and ppl

While i love the convenience of not having to drive more than 10 minutes to the grocery store it truly drives me a little nutty is how 70% of items that SHOULD be covered by WIC somehow never are which is very difficult to deal with because you never know until you're at the register and it's so embarrassing having to put items back that are supposed to be covered but their register system won't allow....

This is a nice grocery store. Higher end than other Spires I have been to. Very clean, well stocked and with extremely polite, helpful staff. Prices are slightly high but it's, as noted, a nice store with unequalled customer service. It's also the only grocery in the county, so it's extremely convenient. Gives back to the community. Good place to shop with EXCELLENT Fried Chicken in it's deli!!!! Think it's the oldest still open grocery in Florida and, generally speaking, any changes tend to be for the better!

Spires IGA has generationally-deep roots in our community. I've been going to that store since I can remember, and, I've actually worked there a handful of times in my earlier years. I've met Mr. Mike Spires and Sharlene Spires, as well as their wonderful family. They are truly wholesome, God-fearing people and they care about their employees and the community itself. They will always be a part of Lake Butler!

I've been gone for a while... but it's just like I remembered it. It's clean, well stocked, priced reasonably, and just a great place. Bart in the meat department is just as helpful as I remembered.

Spires is always great. Little pricey but the only grocer for miles so what are ya gonna do? Employees are always really nice. And unlike the big box stores they usually have more than one lane open.

I love our wonderful Hometown Spires IGA! Meat department is especially good. Fried Chicken from the deli is delicious! Everyone is always friendly and helpful.

If you have never tried the cakes, you're missing out. I bought a buttercream cake from there once and I have never bought another from anywhere but there for the last 3 years.

They need to keep an eye on their sweet tea it was starting to sour yuck but I live in lake City and I was in Stark and on the way home I just had to stop by there and see if they had some smore cookies mainly only reason I go there cuz they are busting!!!! They cost a little too much but hey every now and then I can splurge on something good

Locally owned IGA by the spires family has been running since 1890 which I find interesting. A well run clean store with excellent staff. Deli food is always great!

They have came a long way since my last review. I absolutely love the ppl who work here. The cashiers are awesome. Judy a long time employee makes you feel right at home. They remember who you are and they know you by name. Marcie at customer service is great, she jumps right in and makes sure your not waiting long. Mike the owner just had a customer appreciation day and they was giving away sodas and a lot of things are on sale. Way to go Spires IGA! Another visit that was great! Today is 10/25/2022 . Thank you Judy for putting in a special request! Thank you Ken for ordering the baby corn in the can. Thank you Miss Sheryl for stopping what you was doing to help me today. Its a good feeling when you can go into your grocery store and the ppl know you and know what you want. Chad in produce is awesome and Marcie at customer service makes you feel right at home!

This is the only grocery in Lake Butler. Some of the prices are a bit high and the produce is mostly expensive and often not great, but overall it's a nice shopping experience. The employees are wonderful and they do have customer appreciation freebies now and then. It's kept very clean and well stocked and they do keep up with the important maintenance items (ie., replacing the old coolers, but not fixing the short checkout conveyers.) It's a very good small town grocery. They have a meal counter where you can get fresh cooked made to order burgers and hot dogs to dine in or take out. The menu has a great variety of options. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but it's pretty popular.

Great store, but like most small town stores, their selections are geared to a certain demographic. If you are someone who is concerned with a more holistic and organic diet you may find it challenging to meet your needs. They are making strides to expand their selections to have a wider range of products offered.

I visited this place today on 08-08-2022 the need to train their cashiers better start making sure people get their groceries they pay for your cashiers are just like walmarts sorry!!!!!!! I called you people about this and ya'll can't even answer the phone for God sakes now if I want the stuff I paid for I have to burn more gas to go back down there because your cashiers being careless thanks a lot spires I will NOT SHOP THERE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

They always have the best prices on meat. And the store is always clean. And if you have the time, get a dinner plate from the deli (the food is delicious) and sit at the table to eat and make friends out of strangers.

My family moved into a tiny town called Lulu FL in 1850s 1860s era. The IGA Market was established around 1890 or so and is a family-run business. It has been the Mainstay for the surrounding areas of Lake Butler FL, providing you with just about anything you could need. If you're hungry they have good country cooking everyday. If you're looking for breakfast lunch or dinner they always have something cooking. The Fried Chicken here is the best!

Pricey and for the location being next to poverty stricken people shouldn't be I believe plus their wic is horrible. Shouldn't be able to pic WHAT wic consumers get and which Flavor etc when it's in the wic brochure

Love the convenience of being less than a mile from my home. The 5 for 20$ deals are the best way to purchase meats for my small household. We splurge when we want steak or seafood at home vs going out. Unless there are other awesome sales, everything else I get at one of the other two stores in town. Sorry. But when you're on a fixed income...
