Do not recommend catering for their baked goods, terrible customer service. Ordered 12 cupcakes cause I remembered them being delicious, not only was the order half the wrong and I felt that I had to haggle and press to get even a 15% discount on their mistake, the cupcakes were cold and stale tasting. Not good at all. SO NOT worth the $38 they charged me for 12 cupcakes. They also offered up 2 extra cupcakes as good riddance and then tried to charge me for the extra! Definitely have a bad taste now for this spot.

Everything in this market is extremely cute and so fitting for Squam Lakers! The food is delicious, specifically the tai noodle salad, the lemon pepper chicken salad, the cubano and the buffalo chicken paninis and the acai bowl! 10/10 can’t wait to come back next year for vacation ❤️

Great spot, I can honestly recommend any sandwich on the menu, their bread is authentic sourdough on most of them. They should put on their website that they offer gluten free bread options

Absolutely love this place! We live just a little down the road and go here regularly for coffee, pastries and/or sandwiches. Their food and coffee are great, they always have a different bakery selection, and all the other goods they're selling are really nice and high quality as well!

Got the Big Squam sub - substituted the roast beef for Salami and man oh man it was delicious. The bread was phenomenal.

Had a chicken salad sandwich, and the fiance had an Italian sub. When I tell you that was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my entire life, I mean it. 100% will be going out of my way to come back here.

UPDATED This is a great charming modern yet classic general store. Back in the day, it was very quiet. Now it's filled with tons of people and beautiful products. That being said, it's a very high quality operation and they're focused and work hard at producing delicious sandwiches and whatever you might like. Squam is a beautiful area so this cute modern general store might be a good place and home base to fuel your adventure. PRIOR REVIEW Good place. Good sandwiches. Modern, craft like and beautiful. My family and I came here for the first time to grab some lunch and we had an amazing experience. First off, the customer service and staff were amazing. The cashier happily conversed with us, and was very patient with us while taking our large order. It was very busy when we visited, and we were told it would be a 15 minute wait for all of the food, but that was cut down to around a 5 minute wait. I cannot stress how kind and accommodating the staff was during our visit. We had some parts of our order that didn’t get put in the bag that we had to come back for, and the cashier happily accommodated us and provided us with the missing items. The sandwiches were delicious, along with the cookies and macaroons. We haven’t had macaroons that good until we came here. If you are trying to find a nice place to eat breakfast or lunch, I definitely recommend here!

Delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches. And baked goods. And espresso drinks. And fancy cheese, wine and beer. Basically everything you need for a picnic on the island. It gets busy ... But you can order ahead online. There's also a selection of gifts to make family members and/or friends jealous of your trip to squam.

What a hidden gem! We stopped in while we were staying on Squam Lake and we were thoroughly impressed. From beautiful gifts and trinkets to groceries to delicious sandwiches, salads, paninis, and prepared foods! They also have a great wine selection and DELICIOUS lattes and coffees and breakfast. If you’re in the area, you have to stop in. If you have kids, be sure to stop in for an ice cream cone! What a lovely and quaint spot! We adored it.

The Buffalo chicken sandwich, grilled cheese and turkey sandwhiches we got were amazing. The pumpkin latte was great...not too sweet. The molasses cookie was very chewy and yummy. Probably my least favorite thing was the mixed berry bar. It had a low berry to crust ratio and the sweetness of the crust and crumble overpowered the berries. The store itself is cute and has a good selection of wine with cheeses and meat for pairing. It also has a little bit of everything which was nice to peruse. Would definitely recommend and would go back if ever in the area.

This place has everything and does everything right. Food is delicious (breakfast, lunch, and dinner!). Great selection of merchandise to wrap yourself in Squam Lake gear :-) and plenty of snacks/beverages to carry you through your visit. What's not to love?!?

A very convenient store to get food. They have sub, wraps, sandwiches, dessert, and ice cream... All fresh... A good place to stop by for breakfast to go.... Yes, you can have fresh hot coffee here. They also have wine selections here. A lot of parking spots and easy to access. A nice breakfast stop!!....

Excellent food for lunch or a quick snack. A bit pricey but I suppose they only have a few months of the years to make a profit . I wish they offered more locally made crafts rather than the generic signs like "Happiness is at the lake". Very friendly staff

We recently stayed at the Squam Lake Inn and loved walking down to the Squam Lake Marketplace for handcrafted sandwiches and a mid-day lattes. The BLT does not disappoint! The Marketplace also has a great selection of Holderness and Squam Lake souvenirs.

Excellent little store. They've got just what you need for a drive-by lunch. We ordered 3 sandwiches and ate them outside on the surrounding picknick tables. Food came out fast despite being busy. Employees were really moving the orders through fast. Prices were very reasonable. Service was excellent.

We LOVE this market. They make the BEST sandwiches! They also have local memorabilia and souvenirs, t-shirts, hats, art etc.

It was very cute store. Some baked goods and other foods. I tried a cookie which was delicious. I found a cute tea pot reasonably priced. They had many gift ideas as well as t shirts as well as wine. For a small store it has alot to offer. The people were very helpful.

We love going in here when we stay at the lake. It's much like an added attraction. Wonderful people. Nice selection of wine, food, coffee. Supplies and items to add to our memories. I've read some complain about prices. I find that unfair to place on a local market with local staff. Just enjoy it!!

Besides being a wonderful store with great baked goods, coffee, sandwiches, wine, and grocery items, I want to give a special shout out to Squam Lake Marketplace in Holderness, NH for doing the right thing since the beginning of the pandemic in keeping people safe and requiring (and enforcing!) mask wearing.    I've been so appalled at so many places that take a blind eye to this and therefore not caring about their employees' and customers' health, and while I do complain about places not doing the right thing, it is much more pleasurable to praise places that do the right thing. When the pandemic started, Squam Market installed a take out window, allowing nobody into the store, but offering a convenient online ordering system in addition to calling orders in.   When they finally allowed people to come into the store, they had signs out from the beginning saying that masks are required, even though they are in a town (Holderness) that does not mandate it.    Usually I do the online ordering system for baked goods, coffee, and sometimes grocery items, but when I do go in I see everyone (customers and employees) wearing a mask.   I've sometimes wondered what would happen if someone tried to come in without a mask.    The other weekend I found out, as when I was in there, there were two guys that came in without a mask.    The employee behind the register immediately and unequivocally informed them they needed a mask to be inside, and they could provide them a disposable mask for $1 if they didn't have one (at which point they left, good riddance!).    After being in so many different stores where employees and management will shrug and not want to deal with customers not wearing masks (or at most apologetically ask someone to put on a mask), it was amazingly refreshing and wonderful to see the mask policy enforced immediately and without vagueness.    I profusely thanked the employee behind the counter. I have considered Squam Market my oasis during the pandemic when I felt I could not go into many other stores (here's looking at you, Chase Street Market).    Even after the pandemic is over, I will remember which businesses did the wrong thing during the pandemic, and which businesses did the right thing.     For the most part stores that did not do the right thing have permanently lost my business.    Stores that did the right thing will get much more of my business.    It is a pleasure to try to go to Squam Market as much as I can -- and it doesn't hurt that the store is fabulous in its own right besides doing the right thing during the pandemic!

DELICIOUS!! Definitely STOP! If you drive by turn around and stop here! The sandwiches are yummy! There bacon is so amazing like order a second sandwich to go good! Even a day later my family is still talking about the bacon on the BLT.. I had the veggie wrap and it was filled with fresh crisp veggies!

Super cute!! If you're looking to pick up some cute decor for your lake house this place is perfect!Checking out was a little confusing and we had to try to get the attention of the cashiers/baristas multiple times before we were able to check out and at that point there was a line.

Got the caprese panini and would 10/10 recommend this place for a delicious and quick bite. Service was very quick and the server was very friendly. Also the store was convenient to pick up small items or drinks.

Wine and beer selection, too. Cute lake items to browse while you wait for your order. A must visit while you are up at Squam!

An absolute must if you're in the area!! The ice cream is homemade and delicious. There's a sandwich/deli counter in the back and it was hands down one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. They had great options for gluten free bread and were careful about allergies and cross contamination, which is a HUGE pro given that area I don't experience much allergy knowledge. There's a great assortment of other grocery items, clothing, and household items (great souvenir or gifting) to look at while you wait for your sandwich to be made 😊

Love this place and we’re lucky to have it here in Holderness ... food is consistently good, coffee is hot and staff is friendly. With COVID restrictions in place, they have come up with a creative side window for online ordering and take out - my hat is off to the management team!

This place is amazing! The employees as well as customers are awesome. My kids and I went out for breakfast. As I'm waiting for the bill the waitress came over to let me know the ladies that I had been talking to had taken care of it. This is the best around. Friendly atmosphere and the food is great!!!!

A very upscale store right off the boat ramp. If you are in a pinch or your looking for a very nice gift this is your place. They have great coffee and ice cream. They definitely do not cater price wise to the locals which is unfortunate. A fun place to walk through though.

The Squam Lake Marketplace is quintessentially Squam: not flashy, not mass-market, not run-of-the-mill—and full of good vibes and a sustainable, ecological worldview. They carry a phenomenal selection of unique items, and serve amazing food morning and afternoon. Also mentionworthy is their partner restaurant up the street, the Inn Kitchen and Bar, which is without equal in a 50-100 mile radius.

Great food, great service. A surprising little corner store, they had some items you'd expect to find at Trader Joes or Whole Foods. I can't remember exactly if they had allergen safe foods (gluten, nuts, etc) but there's a 50% chance they did! The chili was great as well!! Bet their sandwiches are decent from what I saw other people eating and reacting to but I did not have one.
