Great spot for beer lovers!!! We went here during a rain delay for a concert we were seeing at TQL next door. They have a huge selection of awesome beers. Recently moved to the area from NY so it was extra special to see Other Half from BKLN in there:) Service was great and beer was fantastic. Can’t ask for anything better!

Literally the best draft and bottle shop in Cincy. It is a must go to every time I go on a trip to Cincinnati because Brett (the owner) is the best and the great ambiance and beer. He always has Drekker in the fridge or on draft. Definitely a great place to just hang out and you can watch people march to the stadium on FC Cincy games.

My wife and I were visiting from out of town and found this place due to the variety and rarity of beer it has, and it immediately became my favorite beer establishment. The owner personally served us, expeditiously and very respectfully, and certainly knew his beer! They do not serve food but allowed us to order from nearby restaurants (there are several good ones) and bring it back. There were some sketchy individuals along nearby streets but Standard Beer is well-lit and we felt totally safe inside. Hundreds of beers to choose from, over a dozen on tap, from all over the country including world class breweries. Very fair prices!

I travel to Cincinnati frequently on business, Loved this place and glad I stopped in! Huge selection of rotating craft beers on tap and bottled beer as well. Very unique, upscale and modernized place in downtown Cincinnati to enjoy a beer!

Instant favorite bar for beer lovers. 15+ taps. Lots of variety. I enjoyed 3 different sours (they offer 5 oz pours in addition to pints). Bartender was great.

This is the best craft beer bar and store near downtown Cincinnati. The draft list and carry out options feature beers I haven't seen anywhere else in the area and the owner is super involved and hands on to make sure you have a great experience.

After a recommendation from a friend, this place quickly became my go-to for packaged beer as well as the occasional draft beer at the bar. I love being able to try a draft on tap and find it packaged in the cooler to enjoy at home. The owner Brett, is the one and only employee and very personable and so attentive. He runs this business so smoothly and offers the customer the very best experience!

Standard beer is a secret, cozy beer store in the heart of otr. They have a diverse and abundant variety of beers to choose from. The owner is a fantastically kind gentleman who will help you find something that you will love. He also has frequent rotating beers on tap. He allows food from outside restaurants because he doesn't serve any. So stop by, have a beer or 2, play a board game, and enjoy the environment.

Excellent beer bar and market. Visited on a late Sunday afternoon. Bartender was very knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. I'm a beer nerd, so I'm always glad to find these places where the staff seems genuinely happy to be there and interact with the customers. Highly recommended.

Just a quick stop-in for a taster and some to-gos. A quick look around is all you need to know this place is named horribly....the beers here are **anything** but standard. Its pretty much all top shelf, okay some mid-shelf, but stuff i just don't see elsewhere. Parking is a pain but worth it. Kitschy vibe, laid back, totally dig it. Nice place, Brett. 🍻

Fabulous craft beer hang out. The owner knows his beer and curates the selection with skill and flair. That starts with 16 ever changing draft taps that'll take you from interesting sours, through superb hazy numbers and into some real specials. Always a couple of mainline options too such as a good German pils and an easy Belgian. The building itself is immaculate. I thought it must be brand new open so it was a shock to learn the place is three years old. Even the on street seating is of a high standard. This is a special place. Well worth supporting ahead of wannabe craft in mainstream bars.

A cozy spot to enjoy delicious beer and a wonderful atmosphere. Owner is always so fun to talk to and very knowledgeable about beer. Looking forward to enjoying this great space for years to come!

The taproom was clean and organized well. The menu was up to date and easy to read. They have an amazing selection of draft beer and craft cans. The bartender was knowledgeable and super friendly. There were games for adults and children. We are looking forward to visiting Standard Beer again soon.

Phenomenal bar/ bottle shop. While there are many high quality bars in the area, many fall into the trap of having the same things on tap (I assume everyone is using the same suppliers.) Standard beer consistency has a selection of beer that is new and unavailable in other shops. Environment is comfortable and welcoming. 5/5.

First time Visit was great. The bartender, owner I think, was very cool and knowledgeable. Had 2 beers I have never heard of before which was new for me.

My favorite place for beer in OTR. Bret always makes us feel welcome even when the bar is busy and he is happy to let us try any of the beers on tap. Great range that changes regularly so there is always something new.
