Great food A little mix-up with pricing Wanting to charge extra for included items

Really great food. The canopy of tree’s offers a cool place outdoors and away from traffic on Racetrack Road. I love it here and cannot wait to return.

I just wanna thank the girls & manager at this location. After a bad experience at the Crestview location they really lightened the mood!! They were personable , funny , & customer service was top tier ! Food was hot , fresh and my family was very happy. We live in Pensacola but I can assure you we will make that drive to fort Walton 😊

Great seafood for the price and convenience

After several bad experiences at this location I felt it was time for a review. We've repeatedly had items left out of our orders here and have experienced rude attitudes from some of the employees. It's probably best to drive to another location instead of this one. We actually walked out before even ordering during our last trip here due to the employee's attitude.

I can come so many times I LOVE IT The fish is delicious. I love the shrimp. 🍤 and the mahi is perfect cooked but is simple taste so you add whatever sauce of your preference to make it nicer. Love their rice, is Hawaian but it makes me feel at home even if I am not from there.

Soooo delicious! Everyone was so friendly and they served our freshly cooked food in less than 10 minutes! Would HIGHLY recommend! Great environment and very clean. I ordered the shrimp which comes with two large hush puppies and two sides. I chose the BBQ baked beans and potato salad and they were both sooooo delicious! My friend had the shrimp tacos that came with fries and they were also delicious!! Their tartar sauce is so yummy!!

This was one of our favorite meals in Destin. They have many items to choose from and everything we ordered was fantastic! Loved the fried okra especially. Excellent coleslaw too. Arrive early (around 4:00) for dinner and you'll beat the crowds.

Let me preface this by saying I don’t like seafood so this was not the place for me 😂. However, the staff was super friendly and my mother came back twice during our trip to get the crab. She said it was the best crab she has ever had and definitely spent well over 150 dollars just on herself during the trip here. They also had bag-o outside which was fun to play. The staff was super friendly and nice. Be prepared for a wait though if you come during dinner or lunch hours. I wish they had a couple more non-seafood options for weirdos like me, however it’s a seafood restaurant so hey lol I can’t complain too much.

Wonderful dinner. Ceidy was so helpful explaining the menu. Popcorn shrimp/ amberjack/grouper was delicious. Will be back.

The seafood was not over breaded and it was not sea pack frozen it was fresh. I will go again

Raw food they served raw uncooked chicken to my 5 year old what a disgrace of an establishment . Save yourself a week of food poisoning don’t eat here. Edit: Manny the manager handled business correctly and refunded and took full responsibility he’s legit. Chefs need a good tune up on the cooking lessons I have faith Manny will square it up.

This is the first time I’ve visited the Fort Walton location. It’s very low frills, but the food was equally delicious to the one by the beach. The best part was there was a very short line when I usually have to wait quite a while at the busier location. We ended up getting grouper and crab claws, along with onion rings and okra. Everything was fresh and delicious. The grouper was mild and flaky, and the remolaude that came with it was delicious. This location even has a drive up window. It looks like you can just pull up and order and pick it up at the window, which is so convenient. One of the reasons we love this Pace is the prices are very reasonable for so near the beach.

Fish cooked in dirty oil, fries were soggy, man woman at drive through was rude. Won't be back or recommend ever.

Very yummy seafood! We stayed at a cottage a half mile from this location, and picked up food to enjoy back home during a family movie night (first day on vacay). This place was great, from the hush puppies to the Mahi grilled or fried, seasoned fries, banana pudding, popcorn shrimp, etc. Very nice staff too. I wish we had a Stewby's in GA. I realized they were a local chain when we went to the beach the next day, and I can only hope that they find their way north someday :)

Ft. Walton/Destin is a tourist trap. Most tourist trap don't have good food and this area is no exception, so it was nice to find STEWBY'S. The staff were very friendly and polite. They obviously liked working there because they displayed what appeared to be genuine affection in their interactions. The restaurant was spotless. We tried the fried fish tacos, gumbo, fried Okra, and the fried shrimp dinner. The food was fresh and delicious. Portion size was great for the price. We definitely left there full and satisfied. I highly recommend this place!

This place is amazing! We go to the Racetrack Rd location because it's closer to home and not filled with tourists. I am a creature of habit. I get the amberjack when they have it or the grilled collasal shrimp. Their hush puppies are great and so is the fried okra appetizer. There is no table service but I've always found the team here to be helpful and available should you need anything. This is why it is one of our favorite places to go!

Loved this place, went drive through, so didn't see the inside. The food was the bomb. The shrimp tacos were the best I've ever had, period!! I'd never tried gumbo before, so I must say it was delicious, grilled shrimp was excellent as well. My family and I will definitely be back.

This is my second time ordering from Stewby's. The food is great. I had the soft-shell crab platter with potato salad and green beans (chef's kiss, lol). The service was excellent with smiling faces and wonderful customer service. I will definitely be going back.!!!

When other beach restaurants had 2hr wait, Stewby’s was a refreshing and delicious alternative. It was walkable from our rental so we went there two nights, getting both steamed and fresh items.

Small portion. Greasy. No full service dining. No liquor. (Only soft drinks) 2 combo plate (fried calamari, grilled shrimp, coleslaw, potato salad) is $18.95. Ordinary seafood and prices that are no longer reasonable. You have more options to choose from when it comes to restaurants around you.

Fast service and great fresh seafood. You order at the window and they call your number when your order is ready. Very friendly atmosphere and great food.

Their fried and grilled chicken is amazing! The French fries with a little lemon are recommended . Especially the tarter sauce mixed with ketchup. There are cold and warm places to sit , and even outdoor spots. Great place

We always eat at Stewby's when we go to Destin. It's worth the drive to Fort Walton Beach. The food is delicious! There is always a line, but it moves quickly. I've enjoyed every meal there. The menu is diverse, and there are daily specials. The portions are AMPLE. The prices are reasonable.

Stewby's is a fun, super-casual, "picnic table indoors" kind of place! So, the atmosphere is "mid-century fishing dock", which is functional and relaxed. The food is very good. I had a blackened grouper, which was excellent, along with some greens, a side salad, and a cup of their gumbo. Which I found to be a bit watery but very flavorful. Stewby's is an "order-at-the-window" kind of joint, but the staff were super friendly and liked to give it back when I joked around with them. A fun, casual place with very good food, served quickly and with a smile! But don't expect fast food prices. My lunch (in the picture, plus a large sweet tea) was just over $25. A fair price for what I got. Check out Steeby's on Racetrack in Fort Walton Beach, Florida! It's worth it.

Great spot! I guess this is the epitome of "where the locals go." The fish is always fresh, they use their own seasoning (which you can buy) and it's very good. Sides are traditional to a southern menu. Good variety of menu, and generous portion sizes. Also, probably the best cup of gumbo in town! Highly recommend Stewby's. Place isn't huge so expect a wait if you arrive after 5 or so, but well worth it!

Grilled shrimp, grits and slaw! Staple every time!

The shrimp was top notch! The fried okra was amazing as well. You can tell everything is made after you order it by how fresh it is!

Okay for seafood fast food but not much else.

Fish tacos were SO great! Very flavorful. We loved the fried and the grilled for different reasons. Grilled were a little more moist and the fried had a great crunch without being greasy. Can’t go wrong with either. We also loved the Shanty Pie.

Seriously one of the best places for shrimp I have ever been to. Can't say much about the dine in experience, but it was totally worth the take home.

This place is awesome. It's very small but seems to stay very busy. Just sown the road from our air bnb, and we were in the mood for something quick and simple to eat before our activities for the day. I'm glad we stopped here. I had the fish tacos with whatever the fish of the day was. They were amazing 👍

Stewby's was recommended to us while waiting in the SeaTac airport when someone recognized VPS on our bag tag. We made sure to add a stop into our trip and we were not disappointed. Food was amazing and the service was quick and friendly. We tried both the grilled and fried shrimp plus the grilled grouper samwich and all were incredible - seasoned well and cooked perfectly. We enjoyed the hush puppies and the various sides as well. It was busy when we came but service was faster than I had expected and we were still able to find a table in their small dining area. Highly recommend!

Don't change a thing. Every time I'm in the area I stop here. Fresh food, friendly staff, and those collard greens are the best!

I ordered the soft shell crab. I had been wanting one for the longest time. I ordered just a side salad to go with it. I spent $23 with tip at the drive thru. It was tasteless. I was soooo disappointed. Never again. I gave them a second chance a while back on Oysters.

This place use to be amazing. In 2019 when I found this place at the one located off Racetrack Road the only one before the other Stewby locations were built, it was the best! So many happy memories made there with my family it was the go to place to never be let down for an awesome meal. Once they built the one on Okaloosa Island my wife and I said hopefully the owner doesn’t get to big and loose the quality and service. Because when you get too big sometimes the focus becomes only about the money and the quality goes out the window. Well guess what in 2023 and in 2024. I tried both places except for Crestview location and my prediction came true. The food portions have become so much smaller, the seasoning being put on overwhelms the fish to where you only taste salt seasoning. The food on my collard greens, fish, and fries were cold and not even worth eating. Even those little hush puppies have changed for the worse. It is as if the ingredients have become cheaper and the grease used to fry in has become cheaper or they just no longer clean it frequently. This place has now officially become a tourist grease pit. Please stir clear unless you want to feel like you are eating straight grease, cold food, with over seasoned food. Sorry to write this but Stewby you are letting families down because your business has gotten too big to keep up with and quality is no longer important. Even the workers all look like drug dealers off the street. Very pour hygiene. Stay clear folks.

Love their shrimp fried Tacos and fries combo. Been coming for a few weeks and can't get enough of it. I am still yet to taste more of their great food. I will do a following review as i taste other foods in their menu.

Great and fresh seafood. Love they have drive thru, just don't go if you're rushing. Loved the pick 3 Stewby's combo and grilled fish of the day. Nice handmade banana pudding Should open a branch in FL.

The only fast-food seafood around. Decent food at a fair price. You order at the front and they call your number when your food is ready. Definitely not a 20% tip service.

Was not that busy, but it took about 20 minutes for our order. The Amberjack I got was very dry and over cooked. Wish they knew fish can be easily overdone, making it dry and hard.

The grilled shrimp was amazing! We went up for seconds with gumbo and the Key Lime Pie was so delicious, I wasn't willing to share. Definitely want to revisit the next time we are here.

This place is great!! We had soft crabs, potato salad, and greens. My husband also had a side of gumbo. Everything was fantastic!!!!!!! The young lady at the register was so helpful! She gave us suggestions., boy am I glad we went with her suggestions!! We will definitely be back. We want to try the fried oysters next time.

No fuss place. They put the money into the food and provide basic seating to keep pricing reasonable for hungry folks who crave seafood.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Stewby’s. With many items on the menu the price is quite fair, especially for the quality, but $17 FOR ONE SMALL SOFT-SHELL CRAB?!?! C’mon Stewart…As a local I’m glad to see your business flourishing, I really am, but this (and the scallops) are ridiculously priced.

Every time I go past on my way to and fro, Stewby's is packed. I was asking Google to take me to a big fish sandwich, and it took me past Stewby's to CapnDs. Why not, I have time to kill today. Captain D's is dead to me now. 4 stars on food because they discontinued cornbread. I love cornbread with seafood and BBQ. Dae and Ellis were absolutely amazing in sorting this 'first-timer'.

Food was great, however the location is not very handicap friendly. Had a very hard time trying to get over the door plate in my wheelchair. Had to stand on one leg, push the wheelchair over the kick plate then sit back down. Also, there are no tables that you can just wheel up to without blocking the aisle. Had to slide off my wheelchair onto the bench then push the wheelchair in so I didn't block the walkway. Owner should consider having one table that is much shorter so wheelchairs can sit on the end without inconveniencing others.

This is a great seafood place. The Mahi Mahi fish tacos were excellent.

Visited based on another travelers suggestion for the fresh fish. I ordered a combo mealnof grilled shrimp and chicken, greens, and a side salad online. It was ready when I arrived but they includes the wrong salad dressing and the shrimp was nit fresh. It was over seasoned with blackening seasoning. For the price, I expected better quality. Maybe the other locations are better. A good place for drive thru or pickup, but very limited seating.

Ordered the fried chicken tender dinner with coleslaw and potato salad and the food was fresh, hot and delicious! My husband got the fried shrimp dinner with fries and baked beans and he really liked it. And he’s not really a big seafood person! The food here did not disappoint and we look forward to coming back and trying other meals on the menu.

This was ordered as a delivery, so I can't comment on service or atmosphere. The grilled chicken was bland this time and a little too juicy.

Grouper sandwich is fantastic! I request the fries WITHOUT their seasoning which I find too strong & salty. A must try… I keep going back!
