Last night was a terrible experience. Wasn’t there for five minutes and getting told to order something is crazy. Can’t even sit down on the chair caucasian female look like she was in her mid 30s carded my friend my friend had there id was old enough seems she got upset told them to leave I’ll never come here again bad service bartender so rude

My husband and I had drinks here on a weekend. It's an older quaint bar that also has shuffleboard. You can look at an old photo album that has been kept since the bars opening years ago. Very interesting. The service wasn't great. Made us our drinks that was it.

Great long islands, 2 max. Great custom wood bar. They leveled up their patio game. Try the pickled eggs.

If you like historical pubs, this is a must. Great atmosphere very cool bar. Bar maids were top-notch. Cocktails were righteous if you pass through town and you don’t stop you’ll be missing out on a piece of Michigan history. Cheers!!

A lively place for a great traditional bar experience. We saw people of every generation present which you dont always see at bars these days. It's small but cozy in a good way! Service was fast despite being very busy. They didn't seem to have much food but the drinks were good.

They pour affordably priced, strong drinks here and have shuffled board.

Not sure what the issue was. But your bouncer started talking to me in a negative way and told me he felt I shouldn’t be there. Put his hands on me, starting issues with your customers isn’t the way to go. I was sitting at a table and got up just walking around, your bouncer made a comment about how he wasn’t sure if I should be there… didn’t do anything to anything to him or anything to the bar or customers. Wasn’t being violent or anything? I’m confused what the issue was outside of me trying to play around with the bouncer cause I genuinely was being cool and trying to respond positively. In the areas often and I won’t be giving my business to this company again. Your bouncer is on a power trip. 😂💀 I’m highly convinced this is due to my race and that’s weird. Do better.

What even is, Stobers, if not a good time?

Drinks were well made, but there are only 2 shuffleboards, so if those are preoccupied, you are standing with minimal room to walk if it's busy. I would say get some more games, and this would be a blast.

Middle of the road bar. Expensive liquor prices. Regulars exclusive... The interior was awesome. The Halloween decorations were also fun. Skeletons riding Pink Flamingos. I will not be back, I work too hard for my money. I expect some type of customer satisfaction as it's expected from me when I'm clocked in at my job, but hey, lazy is the new cool, I suppose.

This place is a fun dive bar with really good drinks and a friendly host. You are sure to meet some cool and interesting people. The décor and ambience is well placed, And if you like shuffle board they have 2 places you can play. Apparently there is a DJ on Sundays FYI.

John was the most amazing bartender I’ve ever had anywhere. He deserves a raise 100% please keep this guy and value him he made us want to come back again. The service was absolutely unbelievable. He is making you a lot of money by giving you return customers. I love, love, love him.

Of course this bar is fun!! It was pretty packed when we showed up. Good atmosphere. You can play songs on the jute box, play shuffleboard, drink and have fun. We Uber'd so not sure about parking if you're driving.

Stobers holds a special place in my heart. From the griffon head's and wizard that greet you when you walk up to the bar rail, to the newly added patio in the back. This place is truly magical from head to toe.

Stober's is a super cool hangout. All their shots are doubles, and they have shuffle board.

I recently visited a dive bar with live music, a low key atmosphere, and cheap drinks, and although the live music was mediocre, it was still charming. The low key atmosphere made for a relaxed and enjoyable evening, and the cheap drinks were a major plus - it was great to be able to enjoy a night out without breaking the bank. Despite the mediocre live music, the overall atmosphere at the dive bar was welcoming and inclusive. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I felt right at home from the moment I walked through the door. Overall, I had a great time at this dive bar and would still recommend it to others looking for a fun and budget-friendly night out. The charming atmosphere and cheap drinks more than made up for the mediocre live music.

Let me just start by saying that Stobers has always felt like home to me, being a life long resident of Lansing and the surrounding area for 35 years, it has a special place in my heart and I’ve gained many memories here over the years. On that note, I cannot continue to patronize this establishment. The last 2 occasions friends and I have come in we have been treated by the Bartender on shift Kristen awfully. She has been rude, aggressive, belittling, condescending, vulgar, and downright abusive to not only myself, my group of friends, but other customers at the bar. This is no longer the place or type of atmosphere it once was, PLEASE bring back good service Stobers!

No food no reason to stay there. Non existence service as we were not regular local drunks. The woodwork was awesome which is why we we went there to see it as my wife from Ohio had never been there

Not incredibly clean, but the bar tender woman was great. My date was very tired and had a couple and she kept coming over making sure she was ok and basically not getting drugged haha. A little offensive that she thought I'd do so but I totally get it in this day and age. I appreciate the attention to safety😊

What an iconic gem in East Lansing. The drinks were good and strong. There was no waitress or server so drinks were placed at the bar. The vintage artwork and decor is worth a trip. It could have been cleaner though.

Was passing through and wandered in. Really cool place with friendly locals. Usually I don't get Draft b/c I worry about dirty lines but this place had great draft beer with clean lines! The bar itself is really cool looking too.

Best bar in the city hands down!

Garbage bar. Kicked me out because I was talking to my friend too loudly. I was not being any type of disturbance, they kicked me out because I was annoying them. If you come to this bar, think twice about whether the bartender will be annoyed by you or not :)

We went here last night for NYE. It wasn’t our usual watering hole, but it was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Patrick and the gal working with him (didn’t catch her name) were so attentive, respectful, and great. They consistently checked in on us, our drinks, and gave us incredible service. We were even able to order food from next door that was delivered to us. Overall, such an incredible experience and we will be returning. Thank you to this team for such an awesome NYE!

Nostalgic as it gets. The inside is a little tired, but lots of character that cant be overlooked. Great bar selection and our bartender was excellent when we stopped in for after dinner drinks. Worth a stop.
