First time experience today. If you like garlic this is your place. My Hibachi chicken was swimming in garlic juice so much so when I got it home I washed the meat and veggies so I could eat it. A bit dissappimted as it wasnt the Japenese food I know of. Very friendly folks but food was subpar to me.

Surprisingly good and well priced. Very family friendly.

I ordered shrimp hibachi and an onion/mushroom soup to go and then picked it up through their drive through, it was delicious!

Ginger chicken was great and my wife loved the beef noodles dish !

Little gem in New Bern. Saff was so nice and accommodating. Hunan chicken had just the right amount of spice and was full of flavor.

Rose made our dining experience wonderful, and made us feel welcomed. The House special is fantastic, as well as the king poa chicken. We will definitely be back!

Maybe because it was a Friday night rush, but the dining room could have been cleaner. The sesame chicken I brought home was dry n had many burned spots. Egg roll tasted like oil. The veggie noodles were very good Its probably been a yr or two since we ate there. Might give it one more try

I ate here the other day. The food tasted average for a Chinese restaurant. They give you a lot of food and the service is great. The staff is friendly. The restaurant is small and the music is a little too loud. I would probably eat here again but I’m not going out of my way to come here.

As an Asian, I always order Singapore noodle every time I go to the store. The hibachi combination is very generous and the food is as delicious as ever. The little girl helping at the window is so cute and sensible.

My first time here and will definitely return! Staff very welcoming and friendly. Egg roll appetizer was very fresh and delicious. Oolong tea was served in a teapot so I had many cups to enjoy. The hot and sour soup was temperature hot and spicy hot with green onion slices on top. Seasoned perfectly, I enjoyed each spoonful until the bowl was dry. Just as I finished the soup, the waitress brought the entree: hibachi grilled steak with fried rice and vegetables. I have a hand tremor, so I continued to use the soup spoon to eat the rice. I looked down and saw that the waitress had placed a tablespoon on a white napkin on the table next to my plate. She was observant and thoughtful enough to bring that spoon so I could better enjoy my meal. And the main course was very special. Generous portions of cubed, tender grilled steak in a delicious sauce

The steak hibachi was delicious. I ordered it medium and came out perfect and tender. The sauce was awesome as well. I will definitely be coming back!

A very small place but has THE BEST hibachi around.

Cute little spot. Food came fast, employees were extremely nice, and the hibachi was delicious! A little less than $10 for a large plate (got 2 meals out of it) & a soda.

This is one of my top three go to places in New Bern. The people who run this place are so kind and prepare the best Asian food around. My favorite is their hibachi chicken, but I have never had anything I did not like! If you are in need of comfort food look no further then Sumo Bowl!

Just a little hole in the wall place with the best customer service and the most amazing food! I always look for local places on trips and this one exceeded our expectations. Lo mein dishes were so yummy! Hibachi meals had the most tender meats and were finger linking good and you must get the crab Rangoon 😋 Just left and already looking forward to coming back through New Bern to hit up this place!

I'm not from new Bern but I feel like this is a lost gem! I came here for my nephew's graduation..but everytime I come..the food is 🔥! Plus the prices you can't beat! Now how much you spend is based off of how many apps and entrees you get. Still you won't spend alot.

Food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Owner was so nice and made a point to come talk to every table, holding conversations like we've known her forever. They were short shifted (like most places right now) so they were going to suspend dine in for a little while, but the food is definitely worth getting take out as well!

My first time at Sumo Bowl. A co-worker was eating one of your dishes and it smelled delicious. I left work and went straight there. Husband & I had Chicken & Vegetables, veggie eggrolls & a side of veggies...we love veggies!! The food was fresh, hot & delicious. We will definitely eat here again.

I went for the first time with friends cause it was recommended and it was great! I really enjoyed the chicken wings and crab Rangoon and the portion in the fried rice was big for the price! Great service. Will definitely be coming back!

Our new family favorite! We all got different entrees and we were all very pleased with them and our hot tea. Do not be fooled by this hole in the wall, they have great staff, food, prices, cleanliness, and warm enviroment.

Stopped in this place today for the first time. The food was not good in my opinion. I had the orange chicken and it had the smallest pieces of chicken in this giant dough ball covered in a sauce. It was bland and just not good. The fried rice okay. The other dishes my family ordered were also not too good. The saving grace was the crab ragoons, those were delicious. And the service was great!

Recommend! A family favourite! Always order carryout and is always delicious. Some of the best Asian food I've had. Always fresh and quality ingredient. Food is always nice and hot and of great portions too! Highly recommend!

My family and I adore Sumo Bowl. The food is always tasty and fresh. My favorite part are that the wontons are hand made and veggie egg foo young is full of veggies and not just a sad egg pancake. The service is always very friendly and accurate when ordering! Highly recommend this New Bern gem!

Great food. The gyozas are great along with the Orange Chicken. The waitress was great and had a great scense of humor. I will definitely be back.

Food was good. Served hot (heat) by friendly and knowledgable staff. Good won ton soup and crispy noodles. We were entertained by a beautiful little 3 year old girl who came to visit us while we ate our dinner. She was a delight. Thanks for a fun dining experience!

I usually enjoy this place but this is ridiculous, I paid $12 for this? I usually can split a plate between 2 people and as you can see this is enough for 1 with maybe a little noodles left over.

Order the steak hibachi!! The steak hibachi is the best hibachi my husband and I have had. It is better than the expensive hibachi grills. The garlic hibachi sauce is addicting and the steak is always cooked perfectly. Order the steak hibachi!

Great hibachi food cooked to perfection but u can never place an call in order.Phone always goes to an automated recording saying the phone #can't be completed as dialed.Always takes 10-15 minutes to place an order.That's really an inconvenience especially if you just wanna call in your order and pick up in their drive thru or you are pressed for time.

I got orange chicken with chicken fried rice and an egg roll. Both the orange chicken and egg roll we not good at all. The orange chicken seemed like it was covered in a sweet jelly sauce and the chicken its self was bland. Along with the egg roll it was flavor less. Now the chicken fried rice was ok. Nothing special about it. Will not being coming back.

Ate there for the first time today, price is fair. Atmosphere is quaint, workers were friendly. I don’t recommend the sesame chicken, it tastes like a syrup based sauce. The singapore noodles were okay, best part were the beef egg rolls as an appetizer.

If you're looking for basic takeout Chinese it's very good, if you try something else from the menu it's amazing! I work nearby and eat the ginger steak or Singapore rice noodles once or twice a week!

Wow. 1st time there and the food was amazing. General Tso Chicken was extremely good. But the Beef Spring Roll (Lumpia) was fantastic! As good as I've ever had and I've had alot. Super friendly service and food was ready fast. Great pricing too! Looking for Asian food, this is the place.
