The last three times I wanted to get food from here, for some odd reason they just refuse to answer the phone. Weird Business practice in my opinion.

we went in to eat here for the first time...we have always ordered from there and taken it home to eat...was ok...the service was a little slow and wierd cause we were the only ones there at the time...lol...but the food was delish! I love the crab ragoons and spring rolls...the rice was a little dry though especially when u go to eat it and warm up the next day...but was great the day before...and the portion sizes are different than taking it to go...they have gone up in pricing quite a bit too from a couple years ago...but will continue to order from there due to being so close to home for us...

Never had a bad meal here! Portion sizes big you must definately get your money's worth here and it's quality food.

Editing my review from a 5 star to reflect the new management. Food here really sucks now, 3 times in a row the general chicken was dark brown, almost no sauce, overcooked (dry and tough to chew), and only tasted like soy sauce. The fried rice has no flavor. Crab rangoons were chewy. Three strikes, you’re out, I will not be eating here anymore. Maybe the health code violations were what was making their food taste good.

I have called and no one answered the phone called back it's busy. Has happened for 20 minutes.

Solid Chinese food with reasonable prices. I've gotten take-out & delivery from here multiple times in the past 6 years. The portions are generous and the flavors are good. The quality isn't always consistent - specifically the fried foods. But overall, it's good and I continue to choose it over the other Augusta-area Chinese restaurants.

The Food Seems Like It Just Gets Worse Over the years. I ordered General Tso's Chicken With Pork Fried Rice. The Chicken Was Over Cooked So It Was Tough & Chewy, The Crab Ragoons Were Soggie, & The Dough On The Chicken Fingers Wasn't Fully Cooked. This Place Was Bitchen Back In The Day.... Thank You 😊

We do take out and sometimes dine in. The food is always hot and delicious. Love the Pu Pu Platters, the best!

Y'ALL. Look at the pictures. Roughly 6 pounds of food, good food, for $30. Holy moly. Two of my biggest pet peeves here in Maine have been lack of flavor and tiny servings at high prices, with the servings seeming to shrink for take out. NOT here! Everything was scrumptious (well tbf the fried rice was just okay, but everything else was *fire*), they were fast, reasonably priced, and omg at the amount of food. I wish I'd tried it sooner!

The food is always good. It's my go to Chinese for a local restaurant. The dine-in atmosphere is always quiet and not normally busy at all.

After a period of time where the food quality had me going elsewhere, I'm happy to report the quality is back and so am I.

Best Chinese I've found in my area. Sun Sun is 30 min from my home, but I'll travel to Sun Sun if that's my choice for a Chinese meal. Call ahead for takeout or even eating in and have it ready for arrival. The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is clean. Food is not greasy. Don't be deceived by the outside. It looked like one of those takeout only joints. But it's not! Although they do a very big takeout business as well. Enjoy

Got a meal here now charging $3 to make a change. Food good, portions decent. They said the reason why they didn't put the $3 substitution charge on was lack of room on their menu. I felt that it was that much of an upcharge should be indicated on the menu or when you call your order in tshould let us know they're charging $3 for all substitutions on there

There was an inch long piece of wire in my food. I almost swallowed it! I had delivery, and when I called them they said I was lying, and laughed at me. I filed a complaint with the health inspector....they failed inspection in May, and I don't know why they are even open! A child could have swallowed this wire! I took pictures, thank goodness!

Food we got was no edible the orange chicken was like eating a cup of sugar. The egg rolls were good but I give a D- for the rest of the meal..

We came from Massachusetts to visit my sister in ordered the party platter along with some lo-mein and I have never seen so much food in my life the party platter is phenomenal it's definitely the best Chinese food we have I have never had an eggroll that tasted so good before

There food is not consistent ..the girls up front are totally rude .one New years Eve not to long ago we ordered our food the day before for new years and still waited in line with about 20 people for 4 hours unexceptable in my book ...I have never been back and do all my business in hollowell ..

Our first experience at Sun Sun. I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt we will be back. We have been searching for a good Chinese food restaurant in the area and after a year and a half here we have found our place!!! If you are in question try it!! You won't be after you eat the food or experience the staff!!!

This place used to be my #1 Chinese food go to. It has seriously gone down hill when it comes to food quality and cleanliness….I will not even eat here anymore!

Run down. It's obvious the family doesn't care. I've tried this place twice. 1st-time spare ribs tasted and smelled rancid. Chicken fingers were dark and nasty like the oil hasn't been cleaned. 2nd time same issue only chicken fingers were then undercooked rather than done correctly. I'm a patient person but until something is done about their standards won't be attending here again.

You can’t go wrong with a couple of egg rolls.

They never disappoint. Even on the busiest nights they will have your food ready in under 20 minutes. Has become a staple takeout spot in our house.

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened. (Loved it) We moved a hour away and haven't visited for a few years. It seems to be run down now. A refresher inside would be great. Food is good!😋

Food is always amazing but the portions have drastically decreased, while paying more. Charge me more if you have too, but don't skimp on the portions.

Never again. It is 12:49am and I'm not sleeping, stomach hurts, been 2 the bathroom 3 times. Bad food from here. Feel terrible. Glad I spent 30 bucks to feel this way. I have to be somewhere importanr tomorrow and now that may not happen. Not happy.

Love their Food It was really awesome. The only thing is that some of the pork is just a little fatty, their eggs rolls are really big. I like the spring rolls. Dine-in or take out their food is hot and good

The food was ok just like any other Chinese some items better then others. But the service was basically non-existent. This restaurant would rather cater to take out and delivery customers. Not even sure why they have a dinning room. They served all of our food in to-go containers, plastic forks and knives. We had the feeling like we were a nuisance being in the restaurant. So we took or to go boxes and won't be back ever again.

They just restarted dine in, so they don't have waiters all the time. In which case it's more like takeout using their tables.

Stop by today worst food I had every had their. Sweet and sour chicken was the chicken you would get if you orded orange chicken. Will not be back. Place was dark and floors where dirty.

Duck sauce was tart and tasted mostly like Apple sauce and chicken fingers were doughy. But the house lo mein and pork chow mein was good!

Food is eh. Sometimes it's good but most of the time it is just greasy and tasteless. Also, update your hours or social media pages if you close early. Just tried calling and it just rung and rung on Sunday at 8pm. Google hours say you are open until 9.

I’ve called over 20 times to place an order, they never answered. It states they are in fact open too. TERRIBLE customer service. Ended up just going to Canton instead.

I have gone here for years but they have been declining in satisfactory food. The serving sizes have gone down and the prices have gone up. We are not going to continue going anymore.

The food is wicked good, but the price is kind of steep, I know they say you pay for quality but it takes over an hour to get food delivered here as well, might as well go there to pick it up if you want hot food, I've never dined in because I discovered this place during the pandemic. So I can't speak to portion sizes in store. The same pu pu platter here for 35 plus tax, costs 10 dollars less with more food in Portland. I moved up to Augusta recently and realized real quick the prices up here are very steep.

Best Chinese food in the area and in my opinion. Sometimes there's a longer wait than expected at times.

Good food but I'm very upset that my order was not even correct and the seafood dish we ordered was not worth the 18.00 dollars we paid as it had 5 miniscule piece of seafood in it. Not worth my time or money at that point. When I called to complain they wanted to replace it but I live to far away to do that, they could have at least offered a discount for the major screw up or free meal. Deeply disappointed.

It's probably the best Chinese restaurant in the entire town. It's also the only one. It's quite terrible in comparison to Chinese restaurants anywhere else.

Great food but orange chicken needs more sauce. Pork fried rice needs more pork and onion bits. Your compition across the river has my vote on the orange chicken.

Great Chinese food really good portions they do not dine in yet because of covid in the bar is not open either right now for the same reason but they do deliver definitely should check it out if you like Chinese food

Supernatural experience every time I go

This used to be my families favorite place to go at least once a week. The last time we ordered for pickup we were told one hour, and it ended up taking three hours before our food was ready. Sometimes quality food is worth the wait, but the food lately has been absolutely terrible, you can taste that the food is not fresh at all. Unfortunately the service is worse then the food, they constantly write down incorrect addresses or phone numbers even when I repeat the details more than once to ensure they have it right. It’s too bad that this place just isn’t worth it anymore. Update: I am upgrading my review from 1 star to 4 star. I gave sun sun another shot and the last two times the food and service has been exceptional. I’m glad they were able to address the issues.
