An obituary: very sad! SuperBowl closed this spring..., I very much miss their Curry Fried Rice w/ chicken..., their 'noodles' were also to die for. Always two meals unless famished. SuperBowl's death was a late Covid 21 fatality..., they never re-started in-house dining??? Was def a just one $ place. The $12 stuffed big-pod meal came with plus wonton soup, plus a spring roll and 4 sure a fortune cookie (two). They always had a smile. Me no SuperBowl = :( But have no fear! Do check out another great local family small business just two blocks north (of William Cannon)..., also def just one $, plus great food, actually hot 'hot sauce'..., you will not be disappointed!!! It's a 'just the right size' neighborhood Mexican restaurant (actual Mexican that is) called La Playa @ 6400 South 1st. It's hiding too well in a tiny strip mall behind a veranda. It's between the liquor store and corner store @ Eberheart. Gotta luv your hood! Aka 'don't tell anyone' (about the hood)..., tell everyone about La Playa!!! :)

This place is the best that I’ve had. The breading is not heavy like most places ( I love sweet and sour shrimp ). The rice is light and flavorful and the eggrolls are great! I stopped eating Chinese food since moving to Austin because most places sucked. I was sad when they were temporarily closed 🙁 oh and the egg drop soup is good as well.

Omg I went to order my usual orange chicken and moo shu pork and it doesn’t seem to be open anymore. I’m so sad. This was my go to place for home delivery 😢 come back!!!!

I have always loved this place but it looks like its closed now. When you call you get a not in service tone and the website says 404. Where will I get the Singapore Mei Fun now or the fried rice? So many good things about this place it it indeed closed it will be missed.

This place appears to have closed down. We went there today and peeking throughout the window I see construction materials. Would be awesome if it was a remodel, but unlikely. No signs on the doors indicates they will reopen. Online ordering is down. An old S. Austin staple has bit the dust.

Complained about Wonton soup It was to salty so tried again it was extra salty. Someone didn't like my complaint . We were customers for year's. Not anymore

Lo mein was bland and not good. Noodles were gooey and flavorless. The crab Rangoon were stale and seemed to be fried in old oil. The egg rolls seemed to be old as well.

I ordered the Lemon Chicken lunch and honestly was not impressed. Service was fine, no issues there. They took my order and made it right away. However, the quality of this dish was sub-par. Here's a pros and cons list of my experience. Pros: - The wonton soup served with the meal was delicious. It didn't need soy sauce but tasted even better with it. (I did have to microwave it to bring it up to temperature.) - The side of fried rice was tasty as well and didn't cost extra. - The lunch price was great, less than $10. - Food was prepared quickly (maybe too quickly, based on the following cons) Cons: - The chicken was bland without any salt or seasoning - The tempura batter on the Chicken was soggy and falling off. Making the bland chicken even more prevalent. - All components of the dish, and sides were lukewarm. -The lemon sauce served on the side was ice cold. Not hot, nor room temp, but cold. So with the Chicken not being hot, the cold sauce was extra weird. (Microwaving it to a boil helped) - Chicken was not minced into small enough pieces, but rather was served in chicken tender sized portions. (which probably explains the poor tempura quality.) -The egg roll was room temp and pretty greasy for finger food. Seemed to not be served fresh. Overall not a great dish. However, I would like to point out that a wok-prepared dish like Kung Pow or Hunan chicken would probably not run into these issues. Wok-prepped dishes are always scolding hot. Also, most wok-prepared dishes are cooked with sauces and seasoning and without a tempura batter, so I doubt I would run into the same issue if I ordered something more tradk like that.

Ordered on Grubhub - hot and sour soup had nothing in it. Just broth.

The food that we ordered was burnt not prepared right and it was old like it had been sitting out all day.i spoke with the manager and I told him what was going on and he said( so what,do we suppose to take the lose and give you back your money and I said yes and he said no way good bye sir.my family didn't even eat the food it was so nasty and gross.never eat at this restaurant.they feed people old food and don't care about your health at all.

The place was gross (smelled like cat piss and sweat), the food was by far the worst I ever had, the only positive part was the workers, they were nice.

I've had food court chinese better than this. My husband and I had general tsoas and orange chicken and they tasted almost identical. Poorly made food. We both had stomach issues afterwards. Spent $40 on 2 entrees + $5 tip. Menu prices on Google aren't accurate.

I usually don't leave bad reviews but super disappointed 1- we ordered at 6:48 pm and the food arrived until 8:18 2: the chicken cashew nuts dish doesn't say on the menu that it contains mushrooms if someone is allergic they don't specify what it contains 3: the plate for 12 dollars is super small and super bland.... 4: the vegetable and egg soups are super salty, inedible, the only redeemable and edible thing was the combination rice that we ordered my first and last time

I never leave reviews but wow this was bad! Delivery was on time but other than that it was not good at all. My sweet and sour shrimp was inedible and I’m not a picky eater. The general tso’s chicken was better but still not great. It was soggy and bland the fried rice was also tasteless. Super disappointing when I wanted some Chinese comfort food! I will not order from here again.

You left a flyer on my door today, I just moved in. I’ve been trying for over 25-30 minutes to place my first order ever and cannot get through. There is no hold option as I would have waited, I am simply hung up on, or receive the out of order dial tone and I have tried both numbers provided on your flyer. I also tried to place an order online for pick up and it prompted that you aren’t accepting online orders at this time… I started trying at 7:50pm and you don’t close until 9pm and again this was for pick up…. As a first timer attempting to be customer, how am I supposed to support businesses like yours in my area which I will frequent if you don’t give me the opportunity to support you?

The Hot And Sour Is Tasty! I Eat Here For A Good "Home Cooked" Meal Feeling.

Love this place! The staff are great, the food is fantastic and consistently great, very reasonable prices for everything. They consistently put up with my little requests for tweaks to items and each time it's perfect. They are also very quick with orders for pickup and even the delivery is ahead of estimated delivery. I can't really say enough positive things because I just can't think of something they can improve on. Keep it up guys.

Order was ready really fast, staff was friendly. Food was great with huge portions - best in the area - they even threw in some extras.

Should have took a picture but I forgot. This place has the best hot sour soup plus when you order a plate it comes with the order. No charge for an egg roll and those are delicious. The plates are ful size I always have enough or left overs. I order the tso general chicken is my fav. Alot of place are super spicy or not spicy at all I found the perfect flavor for me. We have tried alot of places but we finally found a little secret place. They are so friendly and fast no long waits like other places down the street. You will love it, next time I'll take pictures and prices are so much better. You get alot for you money. I promise you'll thank me. 😊

The vegetables are cold and the chicken was chewy. but for the most part any other time we've been there has been great. They must have had an off night.

Chicken broccoli had a bad taste other entrees were good said he would talk with el hefe.

Well we order from superbowl yesterday it was ok but the problem I had was that it didn't have that Chinese taste like it did before taste a bit water down the sauce was watery not thick and when I wanted spicy it wasn't. Superbowl need to work on the sauce and the spicy but it was ok.

I always like trying new places. They left their menu on my door, so it was convenient ordering. The delivery was super fast, which I loved. The food was not the best I've had in Austin, and I will probably not order from there again, however, everyone has different taste buds and preferences.

I've been going to this place for 5+ years and never had a bad experience. If you're looking for a good lunch special, look no further.

Now this place did not have the best tasting food I have ever had. But sometimes you don't need the best, you need something that will hit the spot. This place hit the spot like a laser guided missile. I was super happy with the food, and combination chicken and beef general tso chicken was a revelation I never knew I needed.

We love Super Bowl. Their shrimp curry fried rice is delicious. Its a standard fast food Chinese restaurant. But they are friendly, they always have food on time and ready to go when ordered. Been going there for years and have never been disappointed.

I love the food. It's vintage looking but the food is great. You can't judge a book by its cover. This place is family owned and those are the best. If you haven't experienced a super bowl then do it. Don't sleep on it. It's a touchdown 🙌.

Try the special(wor) wonton (dumpling) soup! Lots of veggies, dumplings chicken delicious broth :) came with a good fortune cookie 🥠 ✨ Family owned super nice!

Now it's not upscale by any means, but the food is tasty. We ordered beef lo mein and chicken with veggies, egg rolls, wonton and egg drop soup. Everything was delicious.

Super Bowl restaurant has been in business for a very long time. At least 15 years. They have great combos and all the food I’ve tried has remained delicious from way before covid, all the way to now. They’re definitely worth it, their portions are great, and their service is speedy. Super Bowl was highly recommended by a friend years ago, now I highly recommend Super Bowl restaurant to you.

Flavors are always spot on, food is fresh and hot and the staff is a delight.

This is REAL Chinese food and I know this because I'm from the east coast. Definitely made me feel at home again... They're quick, food is fresh everything is handrolled and they give you a LOT for the price.

They serve very delicious Asian style food entrees and at very reasonable prices for the past 10 years also their prices have remain the same especially the lunch specials, also their delivery service is always on time. Visit them you won't be disappointed

Found this place 10+ years ago and it's been my go to ever since for huge portions of great lo mein noodles and hot & sour soup. All my friends have also liked it a lot.

Excellent food. I always get sesame chicken, sweat and sour chicken with a side of steamed rice and egg drop soup. They always make the food fresh to order. The diner size plates are good size.

They are friendly which is why I gave them a 3 BUT I really hate to write this honest review because its not in their favor. I've ordered different chicken dishes from them and each time the chicken was rubbery and had a texture to it that was a little weird. I thought the first time it was bad dish but then I gave it another try but with a different dish and then again trying another type of dish....but the same result with the chicken. Also, i was very disappointed in the $6 shrimp egg rolls because I only found 1 whole shrimp and very little shrimp bits...I really wish I could say something better.

Ordered late, almost half an hour before close for delivery.. food was delivered 30 minutes before estimated delivery time and it was delicious!

Seriously though, I can't top their egg rolls. They are hand rolled by the owner. They are the best. And white meat used for the almond chicken and it is delicious! Been going here since my high school days, 10+ years down the road and its still one of my favorites!

I only eat Chinese food from two places in Austin and this one is my favorite!! I love their fried rice and Mongolian chicken!! The egg rolls aren't bad either. Every time I have ordered food from there it's hot and yummy!!

I come all the way from Bastrop at least 2 or 3 times a month. The food is very flavorful and they serve a lot it’s worth what you pay for. Also the staff is very friendly, fast and clean. I highly recommend this location If you want good food and a good price. Also with this covid they always have mask on, They take the order and I wait in my car for about 10 min. until the order is ready. Thank you Super bowel.

Just happened. Super bowl has always been my familes favorite place to get a quick fulfilling dinner. My wife doesn't eat meat and after we picked up our order and went home her food was beef instead of veggie. I called them asked them to make the veggie fried rice and to please deliver. They said 40+ min for that to happen (we live 12 min away) and yes I wasn't pleased. The gentleman said he would try to be there in 20ish. They delivered it in 23 min and thought they handled the situation pretty well. Will continue to order from here but just wanted to share with yall that they stepped up when they had too. Thanks yall

Our favorite Chinese restaurant & it doesn’t amaze me that it’s a hole in the wall. Those are always the best. 😉 All my family love Super Bowl. We live in Del Valle now & manage to eat there or order take at least once every 2 weeks. One of my brother’s live in Hutto & he will drive from Hutto just to eat Super Bowl. A lot of my family live closer. Everything is always perfect from the egg rolls, to the dishes, & the soups. Wouldn’t change anything about it. I love the staff too. 🥰

Been there as a kid. Was there yesterday ,over 15 years later and was very superb and the outdid this food critics day. Hit the satisfaction spot. Thank you God Bless this business . Hot and sour soup was a classic and sesame chicken with fried rice amongst the same .

Ordering one last time before leaving Austin for good. I am going to miss their sesame chicken and shrimp fried rice, they are my favorites. I also order extra sesame sauce because it is amazing. Try everything, all ingredients are of high quality.

This is a very small, mom-n-pop type place. It's very homey and comfortable. They have delicious lo mein and fried rice at decent prices. I've never had a long wait for my food.

This place has always been my favorite place to eat but this time around I was not impressed. We got our egg rolls and they were cold and not hot n crunchy like they should be and our food was not that great either. My kung pao chicken had more sauce than food and it was a little more sour than usual. Not impressed this time around.

I Crave This Place! Reasonably priced, friendly staff, food is delicious. Great portions. The inside is not a large place, but takeout is an option. When I plan to be near the area, I definitely try to drop in to eat.

The speed at which they produce the food, hot and ready to eat, is amazing. I was dining in and over heard a $30 order get placed at the counter to-go. I timed how long till they walked out with their whole order. 4min 37sec. I'm talking lightning fast service. Love it

We ordered several dishes for pick up for the first time tonight. Everything was great. Even the eggrolls were fresh and crispy. Fish in garlic sauce was a hit as well the tofu dishes we tried. Great broth in the wonton soup. Can't be beat for the price!

So you get into Austin on a business trip and bam! It goes from humid 80 something degree weather to 46 degrees. You look outside the window and notice that it is wet outside with a light drizzle. How do you warm up? By getting General Tso's chicken with fried rice, hot and sour soup, and some cheese rangoon delivered right to your door! The delivery was super fast that you can feel the heat from the driver's car tires 6 stories below in the parking lot. The food was delivered hot and it tasted awesome. I am sitting here writing this review now with my hotel room AC full blast because the food was on FIRE. 10/10 would recommened this place for some good chinese food. I could even say I feel like I scored a touchdown by ordering from here. Cheers!

If you come here I definitely recommend the lemon chicken. Get the dinner portion because it's huge and delicious. The cream cheese rangoon's are a delicious as well. The chicken fried rice and vegetable fried rice are recommended as well. Really good food for really good value.
