The place is very nice The food is very good, they always serve you very well and quickly.

The food is not like before, the rice comes dry, the beans come dry.

I went Monday afternoon ordered pozole and caldo de res they come with onions, lemon, cabbage, radishes, dried peppers and your choice of corn tortillas or tostada's. The food was great at reasonable price.

Pretty good food. Not a fancy restaurant but looks like a momnpops type place. Paper plates on a tray. Has a patio area and plastic chairs. Fairly inexpensive but the food was really good.

Menudo is not menudo without hominy and all the chopped up cilantro onion and oregano..this menudo soup is just water and meat.rest of food was ok..nothing special.

Such a hidden gem in this neighborhood. The food is always delicious. It’s like having family cook for you. You step in and it’s like you are eating somewhere local in Mexico just the prices don’t reflect that.

The food is very flavorful and the set up is like a Chinese places where you can see through the glass at every dish. What was really nice is right away the server asked if we wanted samples. Heck yeah. We got the pozole...it was delicious. I'll definitely go back.

First time at this place. I didn't know it was a "Fonda" / Cafeteria style food. Premade serve to you at counter. Very pricey for the quantity and quality of food. But let it be know Im not a fan of food with red sauce, almost every dish offered had the same red sauce. In MY opinion I am not a fan of this type and style of food.

The food is beyond incredible. The pork melts off the bone and is full of flavor. Drinks are refreshing. As a non Spanish speaker, the staff was very helpful and friendly in helping us decide what to order.

Enchiladas with mole sauce were delicious as were the tostada with ceviche and the cheese empanada but the beans had 0 flavor, the rice was subpar and both were cold...

This restaurant is like a little Kitty corner of the street. It's got like a laundromat next to a taxpayer and a little grocery store all in and l a little Mexican bakery in their little corner right there. But the food and act restaurant is absolutely positively. Delicious tasting. It's recently price. the service is great. There's no table service. It's a sand from the editor and order. I usually buy one of the little tacos or the kiss Diaz. That's delicious it's recent, because it's really pleasant to say. Have a if you can't insert with who. Is they have pictures of the food on the the menu? Or you can see them. you pick them out, but I'll pick them up at this place. It's right next to the laundromat so when are you hungry? I can go to from the laundromat next door and go buy me some elite. They have several kinds of drinks too. It's right on the bus 7 bus route and i. and nice and convenient on University Avenue. And they also do delivery.I think it was a doordash or urban eats does it.

All women workers. They don't speak English but you can point your way through... amd they love giving samples

Great food and service, only gripe is while I was ordering for my family I got one order in and they walked off thinking I was done with my order, took me a total of 3 interactions to get all the food.

A little hole on the wall, but I'm never dissapointed every time I go. I get the chicken enchiladas, rice and beans. I've only had that , chile relleno and their caldo de res. I can't really say much about the other food because I've only had what I'm familiar with. They have main courses that are already cooked that you can choose from. The parking in the back is very limited. But plenty of parking in the street. I crave their enchiladas and I do often eat there. Lots of pork and beef options. Not too much vegetarian options for those who are vegetarian.

This is the big bad wolf of burritos...it will blow your flavor house down. Inside the burrito will be the three little pigs but slow roasted in a deep rich sauce making it so tender and delicious you will feel like you are wandering the ancient streets of Michaocan on a fanciful journey of immortal cuisine.

Best Mexican food in city heights

Really wanted to like this place! I had the caldo de res and a chile relleno with rice and beans. The caldo de res is the reason why I came in, I’ve been having pho since I got sick and wanted something different. I thought the caldo was salty. The chile relleno had no flavor as well as the rice and beans. I was really hoping this would be a new favorite but it was a miss.

Good food, but the place needs more CLEANING, it seems that they do not take care of that aspect, a lot of garbage, and the garbage cans are very dirty, apart from the floor too, here is my opinion.

Super cocina= super good food. Traditional food from Mexico, good flavor, good amount of food, and great variety.

The place looks clean, you spend approximately 20 dollars per person, the person who served us was very friendly, he gave me samples to try before deciding, I don't eat anything spicy.

If you want a good home cooked meal you got to try this place best Mexican food I had in a long time.

Cut down on the garlic powder. It gives people gas. Real garlic or garlic salt is ok.

I only gave 4 stars for service because they forgot a plate and, I had to go back and get it. Even when that happened, the service was super friendly and apologetic and the food more than made up for it! It’s the best Mexican food I’VE had in San Diego. The tacos were on point! I had the potato tacos and the beef tacos were also ordered. SO GOOD! Even after walking to and from the restaurant twice, the tacos were still crispy when I got home. By far the best Mexican rice I’ve had ever. I’m both excited and worried that this place is right around the corner from me! Super Cocina restaurant lives up to its name.

Tenía años llendo a comprar comida pero últimamente las 2 últimas veces me ha salido crudo el pollo, duro y con sangre.. no se si cambiaron de cocinera pero el pollo era realmente asqueroso , me dio mucho asco y pensaba ya no regresar pero pensé en darles otra oportunidad y me volvió a pasar que el pollo estaba duro, y al partirlo por dentro todavía tenía sangre! Eso es asqueroso ! Tire todo el plato me dio mucho asco y aparte esta la comida bien cara para las cochinadas que venden , eso le va hacer daño a la gente! Si el dueño ve este comentario espero que ponga atención en el tiempo de cocimiento de las carnes y del pollo! O que cambie de cocinera por que aparte de caro, le venden a uno un pollo casi vivo! Señor dueño tenga más cuidado con el cocimiento de la comida! Aparte deberían de tapar las comidas por que he visto muchas moscas paradas arriba de los platillos ! Si les mando a salubridad les aseguro que les cierran el lugar, deben de ser más limpios con la comida..!! Por que al final hasta me enferme! Me dió tifoidea y el doctor dijo que era de una comida mal cocida y esa comida es de este negocio!! Tengan más cuidado!! Sean más higiénicos!

With a drink and combo expect to spend 20$ or more per person. Not worth the price for me anymore.

The staff that work in the evening is very rude. The person in charge doesn’t have any customer service skills. They ruin my dinner. I come only for a particular dish, pork on red sauce. The server got upset because I complail about the portion; four tiny pieces. She said the owner gave the order to give four pieces, I guess he didn’t specify the size. I change it for a taco. The person in vhsrge put the food aside and ignore me. The continue helping others until I ask for my food. Another customer also complained for the portion and the slow service. Again, the person in charge, yell at the customer and ask him to get in to cook. I asked for my food and lept complaining about the price and portion. I paid, right when I turn, the person in charge told anothrr customer to ignore me because I didn’t want to pay gor the food. Rude super ride, so don’t go in the evening because your portion will shrink. No issues with the food, food is great. Complaint about the portion against price. And you might want to check your employees. Never coming back if these employees are there. I’ll let my family and relatives to do the same.

Took mom and dad on his birthday and let me tell you. These are 70+ Mexican old school peeps, they loved the food, and so did I!! ..they have the food displayed buffet style so you get to choose what catches your eye and try what you're curious about!! ..will definitely be back!! 🤤🤤

This restaurant has a hole in the wall kinda feel and their Guisado options vary daily but the food is reasonably priced, tastes nice and they provide you with a good quantity of food. They have a limited size private lot for about 6-8 vehicles and street parking is your next best option. for the Guisado combos they come with rice and beans and your choice of Guisado which when I was there was about 8 choices. They have an extensive menu and they accept credit card payments. Alcoholic drinks are available. They have indoor seating and a couple tables outside.

Guisados, pozole and menudo are on point. Tastes like straight up abuelita home made food should taste like.

If you want Mom and Grandma recipes this is the place! I absolutely love their chili rellenos. I am not a San Diego native but love to swing by this place when I'm in the area.

NOT RECOMENDED! Pozole had a nasty taste to it and they did not want to take the food back and return my money! DISRESPECTFUL! DO NOT GO!

Love the food, my Mexican mom asks me for their caldo de res and their chicharron in red sauce. Legit dishes and the right seasoning. Great service always with a smile. Just tidy it up and clean and fix the doors and tables.

Flavorful food. I recommend Blackened Adobo Pork, may be some gristle in there but worth it. Also the goat was great.

Authentic homestyle Mexican cuisine. The restaurant has a homey cafeteria feel and the food is fresh but served from steam trays. They have a rotating menu of chicken mole, rayitas, enchiladas. Good value for the money. Gets busy during lunch hours.

Had the menudo, it was a greasy mess. Most of the pieces had large amounts of fat and the broth was inedible. It felt as though they cut corners and didn't remove the fat from the lean pieces and it ruined it.

Very authentic Spanish restraunt highly recommended.

The enchilada plate was good. The menudo was just soup and tripe. No hominy at all. Also didn't come with cilantro, onions and limes. Ordered from Uber Eats.

my husband like this place for some reason. I had their food but thought it was too greasy. prices are ridiculous now, today I ordered 1 plate and a drink and it was almost $20. ridiculously overpriced for mediocre food

The food is authentic mexican cuisine, would recommend greatly the pork with chili sauce; the only downside is that the staff is pretty rude, you can feel the pressure to be dispatched quickly, the server, the cashier, they all had a similar demeanor, would think twice before recommending. 5/10

Very tasty definitely but the pork gusados had too much grease for my likes but my hubby likes that. Mole and pozole are delicious and menudo was clean but very Very greasy too. Oh and the Chile relleno was very soggy like the egg part was like a definite No for me. Very clean place 👌 though
