Couldn't fault our food and service here, extensive menu but with full explanations of each dish, the lady owner was very helpful and attentive, we had a lovely chat. The place is a little hidden away but we'll worth seeking out. Jasmine tea a great accompaniment!

honestly no, as someone who adores sushi this was not it. over priced and tasted so bad. the women microwaved our shrimp tempura right in front of our face. i’m from new york city so my expectations might be a higher standard but this was just disgusting. i’ve never eaten sushi while listening to country music. there wasn’t a bathroom. the rainbow roll was an unnecessary 22 dollars. it’s a mom & pop which i get but with that being said i dont believe it should be that expensive (coming from a new yorker where everything is expensive) id understand if it was amazing sushi for that price but it wasn’t. again it was microwaved number two their was no taste other then burnt. the fact that we were so dissatisfied we had to go out to dinner again because it was that gross. never again.

Who knew you had to go to Manchester, Vermont for the best sushi. My husband and I live nearby and go to Sushi Boat weekly for our favorite rolls and great conversation with the owners, Phyllis and Ralph. As natives of the NYC metro area, we used to have our pick of sushi restaurants before we moved and we never thought we would have that in our new hometown. Thanks to Sushi Boat, we enjoy flavorful rolls and sashimi in the heart of downtown Manchester. It is no small feat to stock sushi-grade fish every week for a tiny town in Vermont, which is why we are so grateful for this couple's commitment and expertise. The restaurant itself has a comfortable, casual and small-town vibe. A must for dinner if you live nearby or are just visiting the area! You won't be disappointed.

Food was great! But inside was completely empty, there was no one. There wasn’t even music so it ended up being very awkward because we were the only ones talking and making noise. Overall the food was good but my family and I would probably not go again.

Ordered take out from this place, not only was the food absolutely unappetizing by the looks (and I apologize for not providing a picture) but the taste was just as comparable. Everything about this experience was awful. We ordered for about 7 people, $200 later and we’re left hungry with stomach aches. Do not recommend at all.

Sushi was so fresh and flavorful. They went out of their way to make sure I could have all the delicious rolls possible accommodating my gluten allergy. Never made me feel like it was a burden. Very kind people. Will definitely be back!

Food is OK, service is average, but price is beyond expensive, turns out its $70 per person for us, more expensive than NYC.

We've long enjoyed Sushi Boat for the fresh, artisan quality of their rolls. They have a great selection for vegetarians, too. Takeout is great but dining in is that much better. The owners know true hospitality, care for their guests and rightfully, take pride in their work. Definitely a special spot in Manchester.

The Sushi Boat is a favorite of mine and a place that my friends and I enjoy meeting at to enjoy a delicious meal and to catch up. The sushi is fantastic and always fresh, and it is great to see the dining room back open again. It's always nice conversing with the owners, they are wonderful people. I highly recommend!

Sushi Boat is the absolute best sushi anywhere! Who would’ve thought you would get the freshest, tastiest and highest quality sushi in Vermont? But sushi Boat is consistently outstanding! Love the owners, Ralph and Phyllis, food is prepared and served with love! We make it a point to get to Sushi Boat whenever we are anywhere nearby! Would rate 10 stars if I could!

If you’re at all a sushi lover coming here is a must! Not only was the food incredible but the service was beyond amazing; you couldn’t possibly be disappointed coming here! I came here on a whim with a craving and at first I was blown away by the thick cuts of the sashimi but then I tasted them and was in love with the quality of the fish! We tried a few different rolls and got seconds of our favorites (which was very hard to choose seeing as how they were all so good) and it’s safe to say we will definitely be back soon. And I just wanted to thank the Liu’s who were kind and welcoming and made our dinner the best experience we could’ve hoped for!!

Family owned since 2006, same vibe as the first time I went in. Such a great family super friendly. Sushi is very authentic. They make any custom roll. My daughter and husband love it and they don’t even eat seafood. He will make any vegetable rolls also. My favorite is the rainbow dragon roll!

No, No, No. Terrible sushi experience. Had a takeout order this week ($107) and the food basically went right in the trash. The smell as soon as we opened the bag was horrendous. The rice was undercooked and/or old. Rolls were a MESS. Avocado was rotted. Wasabi was grey and hard. There was not one single appetizing thing about this disaster.

We have been ordering sushi from this restaurant in Manchester for many years. Living in Vermont offers a wonderful way of life however, sushi restaurants are not plentiful. The food from The Sushi Boat consistently satisfies my families craving for sushi and it tastes fresh. The assortment of rolls and sashimi offers something for everyone. This friendly, family owned and operated restaurant is a treat. Note, that like many restaurants post COVID, they are offering a take-out only menu with adjusted hours.

Excellent food as usual. I had the spyder it was amazing! The tuna sushi perfect little lean bites and the crab salad very yummy! Thanks for staying above float, I would miss the great food!

This place is a disgrace to sushi. First, nothing on their site or anywhere says no indoor dinning. The food is a disgrace. Not sure why I come to Vermont and decided to get sushi. The yellow New York pee snow looks better than their salmon. The cashier is extremely rude. You need to wait in the below freezing windy outdoor for pick up. Waited at least 20 minutes for 2 rolls. For all my tourist fellows, avoid this tourist sushi trap.

There is no sushi in Manchester! Including this place. Its the worst sushi you can buy. Drive to Bennington and get Fuji. Every bad review is correct!! You will get 4 rolls, and literally spend $86.00. I will totally spend that on good sushi! It's not! Everything is horrible. I never leave bad reviews. I have given sushi boat 3 tries. Every time is worst then the last. Do yourself a favor, go to McDonald's and get a fish sandwich (I don't eat McDonald's) at least you won't feel horrible about spending money on something you will not eat!!

The picture included is what about $30 will get you. 18 pieces of disappointment in the form of sloppily assembled, tasteless mush wrapped in equally tasteless rice. Even the 2 soy sauce packets mixed with the 'wasabi' couldn't add flavor. My husband and I were hoping this would be dinner, but the pieces were so small that 30 bucks got us an appetizer. We wouldn't have accepted this but the extremely gruff (read: rude as h+ll) owner? employee? person at the counter made sure to take our money before handing us our sad little order. I really hope we don't get food poisoning.

From Jersey so obviously wasn’t expecting the sushi to be anything compared to Jersey sushi but omg, this place is not good. We ordered 4 rolls, shumi, 1 soup, and two pieces of tuna sushi and it came out to 105 dollars. The rolls were disgusting and messy. It’s not fresh at all and the owner isn’t Japanese. It’s a rip off with horrible sushi. Do not go here unless you want rolls that are falling apart, and bland tasteless non fresh sushi.

This a place to relax, not to rush—Ralph is incredible and a local treasure. I have never regretted visiting!

I really wanted to like it but it’s mediocre. If you want sushi, there’s no other choice but...the miso soup tasted like water. The spider roll tasted like fried tempura without the crab. However, the basic rolls like spicy tuna, or anything with avocado on it was good.

We have visited May times when in Manchester and it is always consistently excellent. The owners are friendly and make you feel welcomed. Service is always excellent. And the sushi is so fresh. The miso soup has a creamy taste which is delicious. But don’t delay because the last time we were there the owner said they were cutting back on their hours to spend more time with their grandchildren

You may have to wait a little longer here on a busy night, but trust me, it is well worth it! Everything we tried was excellent. Large thick slices of fish on the sushi rolls. Top notch quality.

We had the most amazing sushi here and pricing was reasonable. Only complains, which were minor, is the hot tea was served lukewarm and we had to ask for water refills/check/more napkins etc. But sushi chef was fantastic! If only they can get a liquor license so that beer/wine/sake can be served...hopefully that’s in the works!

I went with three friends for dinner. The restaurant is a little hard to find because it is in a strip that runs perpindicular to Main St. Turn right after Rite Aid, coming from the south. We enjoyed eating there. They do not have a liquor license but you can bring a bottle with you.

This was our very favorite place to eat in Manchester!! The owners are very welcoming and the sushi is fresh. They are very accommodating to unique food requests. Highly recommend. We are coming back at least one more time before we fly back to Texas!!

Had a great lunch here today. Hot miso soup with nice flavoring. Lunch special sushi rolls and sashimi were very nice. The couple who run this spot really are great people. They were kind and attentive.

To be honest, I have been a faithful customer here for years, and I am totally turned off completely by the way the woman there treats me and others. She is inpatient, rude and to be quiet honest, is a bully. I LOVE Ralph, love the food, but she should have her attitude readjusted and it would make the experience WAY better. trust me, just order take away so you can avoid her. AND WHY DID I PAY ALMOST 60 DOLLARS FOR THREE ROLLS AND A SALAD?

Always Consistent quality, have been more times that count, yes may not be as innovative as some other areas of country but. Pretty darn good for landlocked VT and always fresh ( tuna sashimi) spicy shrimp dragon and red dragon rolls the fave. Ralph is always smiling and happy. Do plan ahead as when busy can be a wait for take out. Very spot on timing.

The food is amazing. A small, off the main road. The owner is putting his heart into it and his wife is helping out with managing the business. Everything is fresh, all made by im and it does take a bit of time to get the food hut it is 100% worth the wait. It rivals famous sushi places in New York and other large cities. All for a fraction of the cost and very good service.

This place has amazing sushi. I highly recommend the very tender tuna sashimi. Even though the service is a bit slow the wonderful food makes up for it. You can really tell that it is the owners passion and his wife is very friendly. Compared to other more popular sushi places this is just as good if not better, the prices are amazing and the food is terrific.
