Small strip mall sushi. Recommend take out for lunch. Not really a dining location due to small size, no frills atmosphere. Great prices on excellent sushi. A classic, unchanged for over 10 years.

It's my favorite sushi spot in South Fl! No glitz or glam to mask mediocre sushi. Just consistent, delicious, fresh food. The ladies at the registers are always kind and friendly. My husband and I are obsessed.

You can have sushi at low rates with taste below average or at par compared to a decent sushi restaurants. It’s more of a take away joint .

Food is amazing for the price! Definitely fresh. Only wish they had inside seating there were 2 tables but perfect for take out!

I love this place. I always get the #14 and the Gyozas. This tiny mom and pop shop is the real deal. The staff is always friendly and the fish is super fresh. Honestly 💯 recommend.

The staff were very rude during our visit. The building is small and unwelcoming. When we entered we didn’t have time to look over the menu because were rushed to place our order. After receiving the order we opened the plate to learn that there had been a cucumber slice with a bite taken out placed on the salad. My husband and I were polite for the entire interaction and cannot understands how this happened. I will also be reporting this business to the Health Department. I do not recommend anyone visiting for their safety.

Unexpectedly fabulous. Nicely prepared, dense and filling, with fine cuts of fish and great prices. Four Sushi chefs, standing elbow to elbow, cranking out as many orders as possible, 12 hours per day.With that kind of volume, It’s got to be good.

This is a very small place but their Sushi is fresh and delicious you will wait about 20 to 30 minutes after you order but the prices are very reasonable and very comfortable can the food is of high quality patience is the key don't be in a rush you can always call ahead this is more of a takeout please I don't think you want to eat there unless you have no place to go you will not be disappointed by the quality and freshness

This place is the best, Japanese people making sushi great prices, quick Service and good service people don’t listen to the people that complain. Give them a shot and you won’t be disappointed with the food.. Just keep in mind it’s a hole in the wall you’re not going into a fancy restaurant.

The elderly cashier is the sweetest restaurant worker I've ever met in my life. I would come here just to hear her cute voice! The food is amazing, the price is great for the area, and it's great seeing your sushi made.

Very fresh, tasty, and cheap sushi. And also absolutely incredible salmon teriyaki - savory, soft, and packed with umami. In all their sushi, they put a very good amount of fish and the fish tasted super fresh. Our favorite roll was the dynamite roll. In total for a California roll it's only like $6, can't beat that. The people who work there are also super sweet - I highly recommend this place!

The place is a very narrow space, with just a few (uncomfortable) chairs and tables... really a take out place. but the sushi is fresh and they seem to do a good take out business.

This is a nice inexpensive Japanese restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. They have traditional maki rolls, nigiri and hot bento box like sukiyaki and unagi bowl. South Florida has way too many Thai+Japanese restaurants. I never understand the combination of Thai and Japanese. It’s nice to see a Japanese restaurant focus on Japanese food only, and making it delicious and inexpensive.

I eat here often. Love everything I have tried. My favorite is the nigiri.

Sushi One is the definition of a hidden gem. It is family-owned and operated and has been a staple for my family for over 20 years. It is absolutely delicious and the prices are insanely good for sushi this fresh and tasty. The raw fish is gorgeous and everything is prepared on the spot with care. Even the dishes that don’t involve fish like the noodles, soup, ohitashi, etc are superb. I can’t recommend Sushi One enough.

I have been coming to Sushi One for 20 years and it is consistently good and the prices are reasonable. I have moved offices 4 times in the last 20 years, but I still come back to Sushi One.

The only place I get my sushi at! Everywhere else is overpriced or poor quality. Prices here are super reasonable and the sushi is a good size. Not to mention super yummy as well!!

I love this little hole-in-the-wall! Don't go in thinking that you're going to get five-star atmosphere or service. It's not that kind of place. Despite its small size and obvious signs of aging (could use a coat of paint on the walls and fix the broken tiles on the floor), the food is exceptional and fresh. The price for the sushi is much lower than you would find in any other place that's comparable. All in all this is a great place if you're into quick no fuss, inexpensive and fresh sushi that hits the spot.

You were craving sushi so we got some to go. We had a pretty big order for seven people and they made it pretty fast! The sushi was great along with the chicken teriyaki the miso soup was also pretty good it was definitely more of a place to order takeout but still definitely recommend checking out sushi One

Came here for lunch today and had the absolute worst experience. First of all their menu is misleading. I ordered a shrimp tempura which anywhere on the planet you go comes with fried shrimp, hence tempura translating to fried. Instead got some nasty super low quality boiled shrimp and rice. I went back and they told me that was their version of a shrimp tempura. No where on the menu does it say this isn't fried shrimp or a made up version of shrimp tempura. The service took forever. I also ordered some pork Gyoza that was supper rubbery. The prices are good but the food not so great and the menu super misleading. Ended up having to throw the sushi away and waste money. I wouldn't recommend eating here to my worst enemy. On top of everything the lady behind the register was rude and dry.

Can’t believe I just “discovered” this place. Walked by it so many time. Didn’t order much but what I got was fantastic. Nr 15 with crab and dumplings. So fresh, so much crab and you can’t beat the prices. Oh and super quick and pleasant service! Will be back 100%

Best to go Sushi in Broward County for sure. Need a platter for a party, order it from them. Much better than anyone else especially when price is factored in. It's Japanese owned which makes a very positive difference in their rolls and rice. They are the best.

BY FAR the best hidden gem for sushi in Fort Lauderdale. The rice tastes completely different than other places, fresh and like it was just made. The seafood is fresh because it has no smell and no "fishy" taste.

There’s a reason why I’ve been visiting Sushi One since 1998…the sushi is AMAZING and the prices are incredibly reasonable!! It’s a family owned business and they are passionate about their product. My faves are: shrimp tempura roll, JB roll, new times roll, tuna roll and cucumber roll. A place to visit the next time you’re in the Ft. Lauderdale area! Since COVID there are no inside tables, only 2 tables outside. Parking can be challenging. Peak times will have a line! Best to call in your order and pick up!! Enjoy!!
